Brookline Lunch: what do users think?
Brooke E.: Such a fun and delicious restaurant! The owners are so nice and the food is incredible! I got the huevos rancheros and the baklava pancakes. Both were great! If I was a local, I’d definitely be eating here often.
Mo Sad: Amazing little restaurantFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Jesse Groner: The only reason that I was hesitant about writing a review is that I'm worried the line will become longer but awesome little brunch spot that I can't recommend enough!
Sean Oushana: Food was good but it came separately to our table. They insultingly charged us for the water, which is something I didn’t even know you could do in the US. But they closed way earlier than advertised and started turning away customers as early as half an hour before they said they’d close. It’s cash only even though there’s no ATM and the only way you’d know is if you comb the menu and look for a tiny text or scan the windows for another small hidden sign that isn’t even near the door. So then they had us Venmo her, but they told us it was only available during the weekdays for some reason. Decent food, but everything else was terrible.
Aude-Marie Alem: Very generous portions, food is ok.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Mark: Recommended dishes Western Omelette, Eggs Benedict, Spicy Sausage ShakshukaMore
Alexandra Nabokina: Comfortable place with delicious food and friendly serviceFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Za'Atar Egg Bowl, Salmon and Scrambled Eggs, Eggs Benedict …More
Scott Harris: Unique and tasty food in a cool, cozy space. Great service from what seems like a husband and wife team. Highly recommend!
laurs iii: The baklava pancakes were all that I expected them to be. And the owners were just precious!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Baklava Pancakes …More
Mariam Yasin: The vibes were immaculate
Ayon Ibrahim: We were drawn here by the baklava rosewater pancakes that's been trendy on social media, and it did not disappoint - very tasty. We also had the shakshuka and zaatar egg bowl - the former was very flavorful and filling and great (and alternate meat options), and the latter was pretty good too, just a lot lighter in all categories. The service is a little slow, but in a sort of leisurely way; it's the kind of place where you should set aside a good amount of time to just chill and eat and enjoy good company. There will be a line out the door, but if you're early, it's only a 10-15 minute wait.
Leo C: Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
Thanos Moraitis: Tl;dr: if there is no queue and you have cash it's a fine place. If there's a long queue, don't bother.Went on a Sunday. The place is very busy, so we had to wait 40 minutes outside. Went with it as my partner insisted it's worth it. Spoiler alert: it wasn't.Tried to order a sandwich and just asked to have it without tomatoes. Was asked to order something else due to the workload. Already a bit annoying given the wait but I guess reasonable. The Benedict I got was quite nice. The pancakes were too savory for me, if you're used to sweet pancakes avoid them. They only take cash which they didn't tell us at the beginning so I had to walk to the atm to get cash. Keep that in mind.
Matt S: We enjoyed our meal, yes.
October Black: A straightforward diner experience:Pros:-I have a gluten intolerance and was able to get the western omelette with homefries (no toast). The meal was safe and I did not have a reaction.-Food was good, service was efficient, playlist was boppingCons:-They do not offer substitutions, tap water (you have to buy bottled), or decaf coffee.-There is no gluten free menu or specific options (ie no gf toast)-The wait to get a table was long, approximately 40 mins, and they do not take names
Gabriella: Nice ambiance and the service was pretty quick. I would not recommend the Benedicts or the Omelette which were bland and both had mixed vegetables that were cut too big and variably cooked. The Spicy Sausage Shakshuka was a little more flavorful.Recommended dishes Spicy Sausage Shakshuka, Eggs Benedict …More
Carlos Peralta: Recommended dishes Baklava PancakesMore
Audra W: Great value for money and a really cute hole in the wall type spot (with lots of personality) for brunch, but I probably wouldn’t wait more than 20-30min in line for this food (which is about how long it took us at 9:30am on a Saturday, line was much longer by the time we left). The baklava pancakes were an experience but honestly a little cloyingly sweet for me. Personally liked the shakshuka a lot more - very flavorful (albeit not spicy) and way more filling than most shakshuka I’ve had before. Took us a while to put in the food order (probably understaffed) but once we did the food came out really quickly! I think what makes this spot great is the affordable prices for bigservings of solid, homey food.
Lucas Oliver: This place is amazing! There’s always a line out the door, but it’s absolutely worth the wait. The baklava pancakes are incredible. A crazy idea that’s crazy good. The shakshuka was also quite tasty. If you’ve got the time, I definitely recommend standing in line. You’re gonna want to try this.Recommended dishes Baklava Pancakes, Spicy Sausage Shakshuka …More
Eileen McDonald: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 3/5More
Lydia Chew: Important to note that this place is cash only.I saw the baklava pancakes with rose water syrup on social media and immediately wanted to check out this spot. The restaurant isn't too big, and you can actually see the kitchen in the back from the seating area. We went for brunch just after opening time on a weekend morning, and there were plenty of tables available at that time though a couple of groups were already there. We ended up splitting the baklava pancakes and the za'atar egg bowl. They're very different dishes (1 sweet and 1 savory), and I definitely preferred the pancakes. I may have liked the egg bowl more if I had gotten that alone, or started with it before trying the sweet pancakes, but the bowl was just a bit bland in comparison. On the other hand, the pancakes were an absolute stand-out dish. I would 100% come back here just for those. The service wasn't ideal, but I feel like this is one spot where I could stomach that just for the food. They also don't serve tap water in glasses - just bottled water ($1). We weren't there for too long (between 1 hour to 90 minutes), but by the end of our meal we were asked to leave to make way for the next group. Understandable, as there was a line (outside the door - if we had seen people waiting we would've probably gotten up sooner), but not necessarily the feeling you want customers to leave with.Vegetarian options: multiple vegetarian options

L. Cartwright: Stopped in for breakfast, right around the corner for Central T stop. Had coffee, the basic breakfast, which was huge, and order the massive grilled cinnamon roll to share. We were stuffed! have tons of donut options as well..will get those to go next time
Nakul Kadaba: Wonderful diner that took the place of The Field in central square! The place is known for their donuts, but liked the brunch items and drinks that we got here as well. They have a vegan menu as well in case people need it. Like with The Field, there's an outdoor portion as well whenever there's warmer and sunny weather.Highlights included their egg dishes -- especially the Norwegian Benedict -- their toast, and avocado toast. Their potatoes were a little basic, but eggs were cooked great. Drinks were terrific especially their mimosas and bloody Mary. Their mimosas are on draft, comprise of different fruits, and are very fresh. The best item was the donut. We got the cinnamon one and it was absolutely delicious. Despite the long wait, it was totally worth it.Service was a bit slow, given that was it was Saturday brunch. The team though was friendly and periodically checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Pricing did reflect central square prices. Despite that, loved coming here and hope to come by again soon!Vegetarian options: Vegan menu available full of brunch items!
Steph: So delicious great options great serviceFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Kathryn Stainton: Vegetarian options: There was a separate vegan menu and vegan donuts
Samantha LaForgia: Good spot. Worth a try if you are in the area! Big breakfasts, food is pretty good. Coffee and coffee drinks are spot on!
Terri Bowman: We just tried Donut Villa for the first time and this is the exact place that arlington needed! We had an amazing server. Alexis was so friendly and genuinely wanted to chat with our 3 year old. Everything came out very fast (which is critical with a little kid). Drinks were strong and tasty. My husband wasn’t super in love with his wrap, but we are definitely coming back to try more items from the breakfast menu.Kid-friendliness: Super fast and friendly service
Janelle Mukete: I visited this diner on a Sunday morning with some girlfriends. The staff were friendly. The menu was great. They had your brunch go-tos and some unique options as well. I ordered avocado on the side and it came as a paste, guacamole like. Home fries were more like sautéed potatoes instead of the crispy potatoes I was expecting. I ordered from their vegan menu which had a good variety of options. My friends ordered from the regular non vegan menu. The setting was a little tight. Would definitely return if they had outdoor seating as I felt kind of o too of other guest.
Jesse Galloway: Donut Villa Diner is a cute addition to Central Square but they're still definitely working out the kinks. Edit: it's been 12 months, they've had time to work out the kinks. But have not. Still kinked. We arrived for Brunch and though the like was out the door we waited less that 15 minutes Inside the diner really works the classic diner vibe: booths, bar stools, chrome accents, and neon lights. Things went a little downhill from, we ordered coffee and food, and a donut. The food arrived quite cold, we quickly discovered the bottomless coffee was not, in-fact, bottomless, and we waited 35 minutes for the check. The donut was pretty good though.Overall, it wasn't bad and I'll give it another shot but they definitely need more staff!
Saddid Ahmed: Ordered takeout and it took forever for us to get our food. They forgot my friend's order and it took about 30 minutes for them to correct it and then messed up my other friend's order by putting meat on it that he cannot eat when he specifically ordered something else.My order otherwise was what i wanted and it tasted good with no issues.

Lindsay Ballantyne: Service was amazing, food & drinks were delicious. We have visited the Medford location previously, and enjoyed the addition of a bar at the Cambridge location!
Joe Nault: We love this place and their donuts!! They have so many creative flavors and are delish! The owners are also super friendly and great people! Definitely recommend!

Eric Drew Feldman: a pleasant into a diner that time seems to have forgotten.
Pamela Johnson-Spurlock: I really wanted to like this diner near Harvard. Went with my family after visiting the campus and museums and we sat for over 45 minutes before someone came to bring water and take our order. It took another 45 mins for our food to arrive. The booths on either side of us sat after us and left before we got our food. The food was alright, but the service was so poor that I lost my appetite by that point and took it to go. Just disappointed.

Rebecca Chen: I got breakfast at Zoe's out of nostalgia - this restaurant has been here since I was a student years ago. But my food today was fairly mediocre - the potatoes in particular were an odd combination of blackened, soggy, and flavorless. And I don't think the waitress spoke more than a dozen words to me the entire time.

Vivien Tran: Came here for brunch and it's a nice spot to meet, especially for students and post grads in the area. I got the Tuscan omelette with sourdough bread as well as OJ. The omelette was tasty and the perfect option for a filling but not too heavy meal, and the OJ was fine, although it's not fresh if they were pouring it out of a jug. Other than that, it was a great place for affordable brunch options!

We had a good meal, but they didn't make one Avocado omelette as requested. I wouldn't recommend that omelette either; rather bland. French toast was delicious. Coffee was amazing. Server was super nice and did his best despite being very busy. Glad we came back after so many years!
