Cambridge Boat Club: what do users think?
Rick Hughes: They host an awesome regatta each year: the Head of the Charles and it is always well planned and executed.
Ping Wang: Heart of the hotc regattaHeart of BostonBoston My AnimaA city of quantum energy, entangled withSpirits & materials, ghosts & humans, poverty & wealthDark & light, yin & yang, blessing & curseBusting and harmonizing all at once…A city that demands me to prepay $2000 for three nightsA small room with no breakfast, cleaning or refundJust because you can, yet your people take me intoTheir home, sheltering me with their generous souls. The Charles runs through your heart, a small riverBursting with your best oarsmen and womenYour shores swollen with Ivy Leagues left & rightYour men ran Harvard and Yale as presidentsWhile hunting witches as life obsessions. You mesmerize me, Boston, for your quantum swingsBetween most brilliant intellectuals & darkest ignoranceYour biggest crowds for marathons and regattasWith loudest music, delicious food and expensive merchandiseShadowed by bombs and crimes.I love your map crowded with ghosts tricking and trippingtourists in hotels, dorms, riverways, keeping us awakewith their unfinished business. You have the best food like SpringShabushabu, and pizza that demands $10 for a slice.Yet on your Mount Auburn, you offer us the most beautifulCemetery on earth, free of charge, with living fossils likeDawn Redwood, Gingko, Amur Chokeberries, Golden Larch…Draping over Robert Creeley, Amy Lowell, Longfellow and Mary Baker EddyWith equal care and grace, whether it’s a flat tombstone orMausoleum. Mark Tetreault: We had a bar mitzvah dinner here and it was special night. The club sits on the water and the views out the back are spectacular. There is a bit of traffic noise as the front of it has quite a few intersecting roads with lots of traffic. The dinner was catered and the meal was vegan but it turned out to be very good. There was a large room for tables and another large room for dancing. The back deck was very nice and the weather was absolutely fantastic. All in all, a pretty nice spot for a gathering. The special people that attended this event certainly helped to make it extra special.

Kayak Launching: what do users think?
Chris Bailey: Water ramp parking. All you need.
Sarah Farnsworth: Nice dock and boat ramp access to the Charles. Not very much parking but can generally find a spot. Can be crowded on nice summer weekends. River access to the watch factory to the right or up river to the left to auburndale. There are nearby boathouses so you will see other kayakers/canoers. Great bird watching, not the best fishing.
paul materasso: Easy to get your kayak in to have a great time.

Charles River Canoe & Kayak: what do users think?
Scott Harrison: Terrific place. Very well run. Wished other places could be as efficient and friendly as this place
Mahendran Murugesan: I have visited this place on weekend and not much crowded. People working there were really helpful. For one person it will cost you around 33 dollars/upto 1.5 hours. For 2 persons it will be around 50 dollars/ upto 1.5 hours.
Stephen Anthony: Amazing day with a special girl. Staff were extremely helpful. Can't recommend this place enough.
Shannon Davis: Absolutely stunning!
Aaron Caine: Reservations worked well and room to distance. Very nice staff! Some very peaceful spots can be found with some paddling.
Donal Waide: Excellent staff always.
Neil Fitzgerald: Currently you have to book a slot before hand online. Masks required during check-in, checkout. They have a series of outside socially distanced stations for the check in process. Life jackets are submerged in a bleach solution and dried for a day before reuse. Boats are sprayed down with a bleach solution between uses. I think they have made the rental process as safe as it can be given what we currently know about covid19. I've gone several times this summer already, and plan to go again.

Paddleboston : Blessing of the Bay, Somerville: what do users think?
Robin Yukiko: Great experience! My kids and I were able to have a unique little adventure on the water. We got to see swans, herons, geese, and other birds. The staff was friendly, safety oriented, and able to answer all our questions. I would definitely do this again.
L k: Friendly nice place
K Saulnier: I looove this company, been a member for years. This location features the same friendly and personable experience as you'd expect from every PB location. You can paddle the Mystic all the way to the beautiful lake upriver, or go past Assembly and up the Malden River, or if you have an air horn and a spray skirt you can go through the locks into the Inner Harbor. You can park at Assembly and take a nice walk along the river to the boathouse, or park nearby. Thanks!
Angélica Carneiro: Great place
Shaikeh Kab: Amazing experience have a day off and paddle
Ken Levine (KSL'72LLC): Fun place to grab a canoe or kayak on the Mystic river. Reasonable rates and definitely focused on guest safety.
Tim Allen: Great facility and people. Beautiful stretch of river.
John Ogren: Cool place to watch Crew
Lyle Gordon: Nice fiberglass canoe with friendly staff. Enjoyed a leisurely canoe along the river.
Melaku T: No more hourly charge because of Covid. We paid $49 for each boat (regardless of type) we got there at 5:00pm and they told us that we can stay on the water until they close.Tips: During summer, go after 6 to avoid sun burn from reflection.
Ada F.: Beautiful nature
Didi Dotan: Winds can be hard there, but easy to launch
Steven Chin: Wonderful for a family kayaking trip. Crew was wonderful, helpful, friendly and courteous. Water was cool, light breeze and sun was out. Glad we all put on sunscreen. Great Father's Day fun. Highly recommend!
Louise Boyd: Beautiful scenery. Lots of geese, swans and turtles. I walk around this area so it was great to see it from this point of view
Andres Townes: There's a gym and decent Pokemon park and you can get to 2 more gyms
Jonatta Santos: Bom
Alex Frolov: The river looks like ecological disaster. This is probably because of the dam that restricting the flow. The shoreline looks like a dump.
Thien N: Very convenient. Great staff.
C K: The area itself is beautiful and a natural spot for kayaking. The guides who set you up seemed like college kids who were not overly concerned for your safety or maybe were not trained to go over what to look out for when on the water. Like the fact that local boaters will be driving full speed through the kayaking launch area to get the near by marina. Many local boaters were obnoxiously driving fast and close to kayakers. A heads up would’ve been nice! They also do not keep track of which kayak you take out, or if you returned on time. As we returned the kayak we gave our name to the same girl that set us up. We said good night thank you and left around 6:30pm. I received a phone call at 9pm from the same girl who said she was looking for us and wasn’t sure if we came back? Very strange but hope they read this and can close any safety gaps in how they train as well as take down peoples info.
Daniel C. Nee: The best wildlife viewing site this eagle scout has ever seen
Dan: There is a certain stillness that prevails in this area of urbanization.
