vicente brandao: I'm a long time customer, and it's always been a good service regardless who's at the counter.
Derek Furman: It's actually a fairly shabby place that smells like any garage. The inventory on the shelves was sparse but it was the end of the day on a Friday the employees were cool but sort of cool like you know your buddies. They were very Frank and at first they were annoyed because I needed a part looked up but they quickly changed their tune as people do with me because I am affable. They didn't have what I wanted so it was another waste of time but I think if you want some spark plugs in oil that's a place to go I mean it doesn't have to be Tiffany's to sell you spark plugs and oil. +1 Star responded to review thank you.
Jonathan Kamens: 1. Didn't have the bulb I needed in stock.2. Sold me an LED version of the bulb instead, for like 5x the price, and claimed it would work fine with my car.3. When I got home I saw that the package said "for off-road use only", so they should not have sold it to me and claimed I could use it in my car!4. I tried it anyway and it didn't work in my car.5. I went back to the store, had to tell the story to two different people, the second of whom made me stand there for five minutes while he typed on his computer before even listening to the story.6. After telling the story to that person he said I would have to come back tomorrow for a refund because only the manager could authorize it and he wasn't there.Garbage service in every way start to finish.

Robert Carkhuff: The guy working inside is absolutely horrible. I tried returning a headlight I never used. I still had my receipt and everything the African American gentleman was very rude and wouldn’t take my return. Will never use advance auto parts again they always mess up my orders
Bad review coming: Stop cranking your music at the end of the shift. Just leave work. People live in the neighborhood and you’re a nuisance.

J fam: Experience 1: they sold me a new car battery that I have to jump start every week, in retrospect, my old car battery would have worked just as fine with a jump starter.Experience 2: the website and store advertises they open at 7.30 am from Monday to Friday, today the store hasn't opened until 8 am I have waited for 20 mins outside the door already
Fernando Vargas: The store in Allston is clean and organized the stuff are very nice and attentive, if you buy an item there they helped you to instal it, some times I have and issue with the payment station, it is too old.

hello there: For car stuff, they're fine. But I have been in there over the past week and their staff is not wearing masks, and if you ask them to put on a mask, they do it grudgingly or not at all. Anthony the manager seems like a nice guy but Anthony-- it's a law in Boston, so please supervise your staff to wear a mask. It's not just the law but it's also caring about the people who walk in the door. Thanks.

Sage RL: One of the two keys I got made works. Should have trusted my instincts when I entered and another customer was complaining about their copy not working.
Julianna Bond: We called several other locksmiths that said they weren't in the business of duplicating keys, before we found this place.Walked in with a set of brass, non-standard keys that couldn't be duplicated in those little key-osks you find in grocery stores and just generally around. Walked out in less than 10min with my 3 duplicates. Quick, convenient, and inexpensive.
Phoebe Long: I used to go here often to get keys copied but now try to avoid it. Staff copying keys are often rude, in a bad mood and not pleasant to interact with. Additionally, I've had multiple sets of keys copied here that did not work. 10$ credit card minimum is also annoying if you only need to 1 or 2 keys copied. Would recommend walking 2 minutes over to tags hardware in Porter and getting keys done there instead; friendly staff, never made me a key that didn't work, & accepts credit cards for all transactions.
Isaac Rhett: Unlike most locksmiths I know, the folks here have no appreciation for locksport, and became immediately unfriendly when I asked.Also on the way out I noticed they have a little flier in the door protesting the Cambridge expansion of protected bike infrastructure, whining about how the lack of parking is going to hurt their business. If you're really going to go under from the loss of a few parking spaces, you know what? Perish.

Mark: Please do not use this locksmith!I tried to have them copy three keys for me, which did not work. when I return to explain the situation I brought the lock with me To show that the copied keys did not fit the employee became frustrated and blamed me, the lock and everything under the sun for why the keys didn’t work ultimately saying that the kwikset lock that I bought was junk when I asked what brand he would recommend he got frazzled and did not have any answers for me.You would be best served with another company

John M: I agree with other the key cut guys are the worst. They are rude and don’t do a good job. I went in and asked for 20 keys which in my mind is not that many. The huff and puff the whole time. Tell people that walk in the have to wait because I am getting so many keys. Then I go check the 20 keys and 6 do not work. This place is the pits go anywhere else.

Jenn Mori: Walked in with a key to be duplicated and walked out less than a few minutes later. Very friendly, and duplicated my keys while I left to get cash (if I recall correctly, they only take cash below $10 or so - there's an ATM next door!). All copies of the key had no issues!

Markus Mobius: Amazing place. Came at 5:10 with 3 locks to rekey and the gentleman stayed beyond the closing time to rekey the cylinders and make 4 copies of the keys. Wonderful place.This is also the only place that consistently makes copies of keys that actually work. Plus the prices are very fair.

AutoZone does it for no charge, saved us from spending $200 on a new battery. People should definitely know about that, get your systems checked out, takes 5 minutes.
