CHA Cambridge Birth Center: what do users think?
Cadieja Joseph: Any women that are pregnant or even if you become pregnant in the future, I strongly suggest Cambridge Birth Center. Especially****WOMEN OF COLOR***I chose a water birth and it was the best experience ever. While pregnant they were so down to earth and attentive, my midwife didn't treat me like "just another appointment for the day" she really took the time to get to know me and let me call her all the time with my new mom questions. They give you a doula during labor and one for after birth to help and support your transition. While in labor it was the most supportive, calm environment (besides my screaming) lol and after they listened when ever I was concerned with a pain and acknowledged it with genuine care to make sure I didn't have any after labor issues. Which is an important issue for women of color and labor. They call to check in and sometimes just to say hi and see how we're doing. I had a visiting nurse that came to my house checked on the baby and sat and listened to all my "is this normal?!" Questions. They also provided a lactation specialist that will check in with you to help you with breastfeeding!Honestly best experience ever.Every doubt I had and all my nervousness they reassured me that I was a strong woman that was beyond capable and my body was beyond prepared for natures path. What was also beautiful to me is how they'd ask "But how are YOU doing? Are you ok? How do you feel"A lot of us aren't aware we have these affordable options in the state.
Lisa Liang Philpotts: Compassionate, LGBTQ friendly nurse midwives and staff who really take the time to listen to you. I received my prenatal care here and although I was not able to deliver in the birth center because I became higher risk when I went into labor, the transition to birth in Cambridge Hospital across the street was seamless.

Wild Woman Birthkeepers: what do users think?
Katerina Kyuchukova: Nadia & Noli are the best facilitators, especially of women. They make body literacy feel so exciting, natural, and accessible. it's clear they're invested in every student's growth, and beyond giving a really clear and informative class on the fertility awareness method, they provide an incredible support system that allows anyone to feel totally confident in charting their cycle, no matter how daunting it feels.
Caitlin: I learned so much in Noli and Nadia’s FAM class. I wish I learned all of these things in school! I’m walking away from the class with a MUCH deeper understanding of my own anatomy and cycle, and a gratitude for the community that Wild Women Birthkeepers forged for us. Thank you!
Adelaide Gross: Noli and Nadia's Fertility Awareness class was clear and warm. Their explanations deepened my understanding of my physiology, and I had already been tracking my cycle for years! If you are wanting to take your fertility into your own hands or just deepen your body literacy, you've come to the right place.

Resilient Birth: what do users think?
Mariel Moakley: My husband and I took a birth class with Resilient Birth as we prepare for the birth of our first child. Justine was warm and welcoming as she led us through a series of lessons/conversations over the course of six weeks. It will not only be a greatly helpful resource for us going forward, but it also incredibly helpful to have built our network of people we know who are having children too (at around the same time). We definitely recommend this course to any expecting parents...whether you feel like you have a sense of what might happen during childbirth or are totally green (like we were!).
Jenna Clifford: Resilient Birth was highly recommended to me by my OBGYN when I expressed my concern about having my birth wishes followed. She suggested that I work with Justine to create an optimal birth plan to not only express my desires, but to put them into words that my entire birth team could clearly understand. In addition to a birth plan that mirrored everything I felt inside, she educated us in the birth process start to finish. Having a weekly open dialogue with a birth professional proved to be invaluable for my husband and me. We were able to discuss possible scenarios, concerns, excitement and confusion all in a safe and open atmosphere. I wish every mom to be (first time and seasoned!) knew about Resilient Birth's services. Justine has my family's full gratitude.
Sarah Sushchyk: At the beginning of my third trimester I developed an overwhelming anxiety and fear around the upcoming birth of my first child. I was having a difficult time coping day to day and began looking for resources that could support both myself and my husband leading up to the birth. I cannot be more thankful that I found the Resilient Birth website. As a person who has experienced sexual assault trauma, much of my fear and anxiety around birth stemmed from my past trauma. Over the course of several Birth Support sessions and guided by Justine’s thoughtful questioning I was able to voice my fears open and honestly with both myself and my husband. From there we were able to work on a Birth Support Plan, targeting my specific needs through different birth scenarios. I cannot overstate how much of a mental shift occurred in myself over the weeks we met with Justine. I now feel prepared and confident that myself and my husband can handle any scenario that we are faced with. The biggest gift is that I have been truly able to relax and enjoy that last few weeks of my pregnancy without anxiety or fear of what is ahead. I cannot recommend Justine enough!
Sydney White: If you're a birth professional, experienced or brand new, Sarah and Justine's Supporting Survivors course is an absolute necessity. Their course has been truly transformative, personally and professionally, and has given me so many tools to better serve my clients as a doula, childbirth educator, and lactation counselor by being able to create the space for intimacy, trust, and safety. Their focus on understanding trauma and it's impacts as well as personal clarity, confidence, and respectful support is incredibly unique and powerful. As a doula I've always felt I struggled to connect emotionally with some of my clients, and I felt a lot of guilt over not being able to provide those clients with the kind of care I felt they deserved. Just recently, I was feeling that way again with a new client. Instead of feeling stuck, I used the techniques taught by Sarah and Justine, and the floodgates opened. She was able to articulate how she was really feeling - her fears and guilt - for the first time and we were able to come up with a birth plan that she felt confident about. Her whole demeanor changed. At our next meeting she was sleeping better, getting along better with her partner, and finally excited about her birth.I will forever be grateful to Justine and Sarah for giving me the tools to help my client experience the joy she deserved and get the support she needed to feel confident sharing her story and her needs with me, her partner, and her providers. If you get a chance to learn from either Justine or Sarah, please do. It will change the way you practice birth work for the better. There aren't many trainings I've taken where I can say that every client I work with from here on out will be better served because of what I know now. Sarah and Justine's Supporting Survivors Course is one of them.
Laura Meduna: I am an expectant mother and just completed the birthing course with Justine at Resilient Birth. My husband and I both highly recommend the 6 week program. Justine was wonderful, knowledgable, and went over all of the possibilities we could encounter in giving birth. We feel empowered with knowledge and I am much more relaxed and feel well prepared for birth. Not only did she go over the medical aspects, Justine also raised important discussion questions and topics for my husband and I to talk and think about. We both feel very prepared and are very glad we found Resilient Birth and can't thank Justine enough. Highly recommended.
Nicole Longmire: I am a breastfeeding counselor and new childbirth educator who recently made the career change from education. I had been searching for resources and training opportunities to support my work when I came upon Justines work with trauma. After watching her archived videos I realized she had much to offer and I recently participated in her 6 week Supporting Survivors Course. The course was great! The unique way that Justine and Sarah taught allowed me to process the information not only professionally but personally—I was finally able to process my almost 10 year old birth trauma this year and I owe that in part to participating in this journey with Justine and Sarah! I am looking forward to applying the knowledge I have learned with the women I work with. I recommend this program to any birth professional and really believe Resilient Birth has much to offer other professionals!
Ida Lister: My son is 2 and 3/4 now and a healthy, happy, loving little boy and the joy of my heart. He was born at full term and at 8lb 10 oz. The birth was hypnobirthing informed, natural and fast (4-5h). However, he came out with the chord around is neck and blue. The nurses took care of him, then gave him to me for the longed for skin to skin. However, after what felt like no time at all, they realized he wasn't breathing correctly and he was whisked away for X-rays and the NICU with my husband staying close by him. I was left alone for about 30 minutes, not really able to move and in a sort of post partum daze. Our son was in the NICU for a week before we could bring him home. I have since struggled, somewhat unknowingly with reconciling my grief over the loss of the birth process and post partum period and the thankfulness that everything turned out well. Our hypnobirthing classes were taught by Om Births and through their facebook posts I heard of Resilient Birth. I reached out through email, feeling a bit foolish for doing so as I thought I was blowing things out of proportion. When Justine replied and asked me if I wanted to talk, I began to acknowledge how much I needed that. Justine was wonderful. She listened compassionately and sincerely, and helped me to not brush my feelings away, to realize that having my baby taken away, even for a good reason, at the culmination of the delivery was incredibly hard; that it is not an exaggeration to call it traumatic for both my husband and I and that it is absolutely justified and understandable that I feel long lasting grief over the way the birth process went and that I did not experience what we had planned and worked so hard for, no matter how thankful I am that our precious boy is healthy and whole and that there was a NICU to take care of him. That Justine gave her time freely and without reservations or judgement was a richness I had not expected. As parents (and I include fathers in this) and as mothers in particular, we expect so much from ourselves and just carry on, burying whatever emotions we "are not allowed" until they surface when we feel too tired to keep them hidden. Thanks to Resilient Birth, I am finally letting my grief and conflicting emotions have some room and I hope, be easier to live with in time.
