g0ggenz: I hired the paw patrol chase and sky characters for a party from Emily. From the start Emily was professional on the phone and made the characters coming to the party possible nearly a week out which was perfect! However unfortunately the event itself was not as expected. After talking with Emily it was my understanding the characters were supposed to “come from their own world” in her words and not be seen arriving by a car. However these characters arrived via Uber and waited outside my house with multiple HUGE bags waiting to be let in somewhere to change, for all people to see making it extremely obvious what was going on. In this case Emily had told me previously the character assistant would not be coming under the circumstances since we did book nearly a week prior and would just need help carrying a speaker which is totally understandable. However that is not what happened in the slightest. The characters took 25 minutes to get into costume inside the house, taking my time away from a party while I had to wait for them. They needed assistance carrying out a speaker and connecting/ playing from their phone the entire time. The music was low, and was not told to me previously how to turn the volume up. The Sky costume seemed to be too big for her to even walk around and about by herself she needed yet ANOTHER person to help her walk a round since her feet were crooked and she could not see outside the mask to the point guests were asking if they need more help walking around the entire time. The speaker died mid dance party making the whole party completely quiet and awkward with no back up and the characters just standing their completely clueless making everything stop and the party over with no more activities. Then the characters forgot the children’s certificates and made myself go try to find them in their bags. The performance itself was supposed to be an hour long but only lasted 25 minutes. For something I was extremely excited for was a huge let down and embarrassing to say the least. Emily was understanding when I contacted her with these issues however this was extremely unprofessional and not well thought out. I hope nobody has the same experience as I did. If you book in the future do not let characters come to your house without an assistant unless you want to be worrying/ running around the entire time.
