L.A. Burdick Handmade Chocolates: what do users think?
Lynn Piers: Excellent shop, amazing chocolate. Super friendly customer service. Don't miss shopping here.❤️
Poojitha Shetty: This place has "The BEST Hot Chocolate" period. It's just perfect!Love the Burdick cookie as well.
Fatma Dahmani: Overrated and overpriced. The quality of the chocolate is very average and we’ve had much better chocolate elsewhere for half that price.
Aude-Marie Alem: You can't get wrong, just go!
Zachary L. Zavidé (Zack): Interesting decor, a homage to continental design but the Mocha was too sweet.
Kevin Zhou: LA Burdick, a chocolate haven divineA place where sweetness is always in line. The cozy decor is hard to ignore,And the staff's warmth is hard to deplore.Their coffee's aroma lures you in,And the chocolate animals make you grin.Lambs, penguins, and mice so sweet,It's hard to pick which one to eat.Oh, how I wish LA Burdick was here,So we could indulge in chocolate cheer. Alas, it's not in LA with me,But my memory of it shall always be.For anyone visiting its cozy nook,LA Burdick's sweets will have you hooked.A chocolate wonderland like no other,A place to indulge and savor each flavor.5 stars for vibe, staff, and food.
Jesse Tordoff: A happy and delicious place!
Kai-yan Lee: Always the best hot chocolate!!
Kevin Barhydt: Again and again we return to L.A. Burdick and are amazed.Got lucky this time. The district manager happened to be in the shop and guided us to some really fun chocolate covered citrus, apricot and mango. Beyond good!Teas and snacks were delicious, and I enjoyed an amazing gluten free baked dessert.5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Amanda Kilburn: I still gave it a 3 because we’ve had better in the past, but I was super disappointed when I took a giant bite of a very burnt, hard as a rock cookie.. for the price it was extra sad.
Spencer Carpenter: Amazing experience
ilknur yalazan: The best chocolate I’ve ever had. It’s a great gift for special days. We love it!
Taísa Ilana Moura: Caramel latte o melhor. Lugar bem pequeno, mas com um café maravilhoso e um ótimo croissant
October Black: Delicious sipping chocolate and assorted chocolates. I have a gluten intolerance and did not have a reaction
TONY MUCI MATTA: Un buen café en este sitio culminó nuestra jornada del día!Recomendado
Trevor: Expensive, but great
Rashmi: Had hot chocolate with milk and it tasted amazing. It's not the chocolate powder in milk version, instead it's melted chocolate which is why I believe it tasted great. I would love to visit the place again to try other items on the menu. The place was a little crowded when I visited, but I can see why!
Ethan Schultz: Wonderful hot chocolate and cozy vibe
pranitha r: The last pic is the recent one. Seems like they lost their touch for the hot chocolate drink? The last 3 times i tried dark chocolate drink was not the same as before. I have been to this place once in a week from past 2 years but highly disappointed from the last 3 times.
RIYA PAREKH: Looks like they have their own recipe for hot chocolate & I am all for it!! The ginger bread was good too! Would go again!
Savan Visalpara: Their signature hot chocolate was one of the best we have ever had.

The chocolate they use is so smooth and their bonbons and confections are creative and perfect versions of anything you can imagine: just think of your favourite candy bar, ball game snack, caramel confection, peanut butter disk - this will be the best version you have ever had.
Michael Nathan: I am repeatedly astonished at how good EH chocolates are. I would list all my favorites but there are too many! That being said, the pecan caramel clusters are particularly universally liked in my family.
Kristina Brunelle: There are, quite simply, no chocolates out there that can compare to EHChocolatier's chocolates. I frequently give them as "thank you's" to personal and professional contacts and I frequently get effusive missives back, thanking me in return for the glorious chocolates! Try them - you will be delighted!

Taza Chocolate: what do users think?
sara meyer: Tend to agree with those who find the chocolate too 'gritty'. Maybe it's an acquired taste.
Elizabeth B: Excellent, informative tour with tons of samples! We learned so much about this special company.
Mitzi Morris: Very friendly staff, very interesting educational factory tour. Samples of every product! Nice to see a socially conscious company succeed as a local business. All of their products are dairy free, a nice surprise for those with dairy sensitivities.
Arjun Bhatt: Super nice customer service!!!
Patrick Ma: Have enjoyed Taza’s chocolate for several years. Know the style of chocolate may be different than other styles. This is not German, Belgian or Swiss. Good in its own right and especially love when it leans into that identity. Go spicy if you can. Also, if you’ve read about lead and cadmium levels being high in a variety of chocolates especially dark——as it so happens Taza is considered safe—- see CR article (Lead and Cadmium Could Be in Your Dark Chocolate)
Alyse Hopkins: The chocolate factory tour was such an amazing experience!! We learned so much and had an awesome time (and got to sample a loooot of chocolate). I cannot recommend this enough!! Book a tour!
Vanessa Hayes: So glad we googled "factory tours in Boston" and came across Taza! Awesome tour, cool facility, decor is on point, and the chocolate was great! So many flavors. The tour was guided by Christine who was fabulous. A must do!
M Goldman: Fun and informative weekend tour for families!
Guilherme Romero Dos Santos: The meals at the new restaurant are delicious.
Thomas dodge: The tour is best afternoon date idea hands down. Manny was the best tour guide I’ve had for anything, and the price is unbeatable. Chocolate is pretty good too…
Sarah Wang: Interesting chocolate that tastes more bitter than store-bought at the same percentage cacao! Definitely worth a try, but can’t say the gritty texture is my favorite. Their staff is absolutely wonderful, and graciously let me try (almost) all of their products. My favorites were definitely the chocolate covered nuts and vanilla chocolate! So yummy!
Adrianne Cheung: As a chocolate fan, this ice chocolate is yummy.I also bought some chocolate bars.
Varun Behl: Super fun chocolate factory with tours and it used to have free samples. Worth stopping by if you're in the area
Julie Sp: Great tour and insights not only to Taza chocolate but also chocolate in general. When they say there are samples - they are not kidding! Absolutely worth the visit!
Jillian Herr: I love this chocolate. It’s texture is so interesting and as you chew it it the gritty texture melts away revealing More subtle flavors. I love it’s mouth feel and appreciate the unique texture! Have gotten it multiple times for special occasions.
Deborah Stromain: Stopped here while walking around Harvard and loved how nice the place was. Tried an iced chocolate drink that was really good. I could tell it was good quality chocolate as it didn’t taste overly sweet or artificial. Will definitely try to stop by next time I am in Boston.
Wendy Face: Enjoy tour last year with lots of samples. So much fun.
Brenda Storz: Tried two bites and threw the rest straight in the trash! Chocolate is the worst I've ever had, it's like chewing on a bitter mouthful of sandpaper. Chocolate should be creamy and rich, but Taza is gritty, bitter, while somehow still one dimensional. "Raw and earthy" should NEVER describe chocolate! A thoroughly revolting dessert not worth the money or calories!
Jenny Teeter: Taza chocolate is THE place you want to go for amazing quality chocolate, with the tour showing you the process and telling you about the company, they tell you who they buy from to make amazing quality chocolate while making sure they have fair labor with even the owner going to the counties to make sure of this. Their chocolate is a little grainy but it's amazing. They can give out many samples to make sure you LOVE the chocolate. If you have the time you should definitely be going to taza
Liz Young: Do yourself a favor and stop by Taza! We booked an educational, and inspiring tour, hosted by the fabulous Manny. He was extremely engaged, patiently answered every and all questions. Let me not forget the endless samples of delicious, high-quality chocolate. We love what Taza stands for ❤️
Elaine M. Lapomardo: Informative tour by our delightful tour guide with so much information about cacao, the harvesting and manufacturing process and the history of the company. The factory was not in operation on the weekends which did not diminish the experience, just a point of reference for future visitors.

Somerville Chocolate: what do users think?
Ravi kiran: Absolutely love the dark chocolate varieties here!
Noel Borthwick: Artisan chocolate made by someone who knows and cares! This place was an amazing find. Had a great time with Eric that owner, who spent time explaining his creations. Some truly incredible chocolate here that rivals any of the best chocolate we've had.I love the vending machine and notice too :)
Steve H: You know how when you find a passionate coffee roaster, the coffee is just That Much Better? I found a chocolatier in a brewery! This place rocks.. it's almost two chocolate makers in one store, next to Venezuelan food, in Aeronaut Brewing, but stick with me here.. the Prophesy Chocolate is awesome, and made from scratch by roasting raw nibs and mixing flavors. Fair price big squares of both white and dark varieties, with some complex flavors. The Somerville Chocolate is sold in a repurposed cigarette vending machine and some bars (mostly sold out; didn't try these, but it's there.)
Joanne owens: What a cool little place! Enjoyed trying and buying some awesome chocolate. The beer infused chocolate was super interesting! Unique taste!
Amber Sandall: I wanted to bring back some chocolate from our trip to Boston. What better then locally made, small batch, organic, bean to bar chocolate that Eric hand makes! I was glad to stumble upon this little place. Head into the brewery and turn left to find it. I enjoyed the chocolate and Eric’s expertise and kindness in walking us through his craft. Vegan options are available as well as full size bars and smaller boxes. Highly recommend.
von moishe: Ignore the sign at the brewery door that says you need an appointment to visit Somerville Chocolate. Eric, the owner and chocolatier, was amazingly gracious with his time and samples, and we were super impressed with the quality of his creations. So many wonderful dark chocolate options, plus innovative and interesting white chocolate and dark milk bars as well. Truly an artisan.
Daniel Estandian: Friend got me this chocolate. Literally the best dark chocolate I've had. All had different highly complementing notes that were stronger than I've had in any chocolate previously. Need to come here myself and check out what else they have.
Matthew Montgomery: Eric gave us a quick tour of his facility and was very generous with his chocolate and his time. The texture was excellent and he pulled pleasing flavor notes out of his chocolate. I really enjoyed this.
Anne M: Amazing chocolate. Had no idea I'd find delicious gourmet chocolate being sold in a brewery! Unbelievably good!
Chandan Panda: GA

Gate Comme Des Filles: what do users think?
C S: I've been going here since they were a small pop-up shop near Aeronaut Brewing. When they first opened, I thought $5 for a small chocolate was expensive. After going there more recently, I discovered they are now $40 for a box of 4!Is it worth it? I have bought chocolates from nearly everywhere in Boston. I have also lived in Paris and Switzerland and had the chocolates there. Gate Commes Des Filles is good, but they are not great. As you might expect, the chocolates are richly flavored and well made, but a little uninspiring. And I do not look forward to eating them in the same way that I love some other desserts.Overall, although money is not really an issue, I find it extremely difficult to justify spending so much money, and I don't think I will return anytime soon.
Kate Kleinsman: Great customer service - the person running it today chatted away to us while our desserts were prepared. Hot chocolate was rich and luscious
Ashley Mac: The chocolate mousse is $17. It also took me 3 days to eat - it is that decadent. You can get it in a chocolate cone or in a cup (if like me you bike it home to savor for days you should camouflage it to ward off curious housemates looking for a snack). Is it worth it? Only you will know.
Julia Moreland: Steep price but worth it. I stopped in thinking this would be my casual, grab a quick sweet treat before heading home. I was wrong. This place is artfully crafted and delicious. The worker was so kind and helped us choose from the selections and even let us sample a bit :)
Maya Shen: Indeed great chocolate chip cookies, you can tell the chocolate inside is of good quality, right amount of bitterness and acidity, the dough has a spike of sea salt if you like sweet and salty combo and gooey centers, you’ll likely enjoy the cookie very much. Girl working there’s super friendly, I got lucky and got a fresh out of the oven batch. Recommended, tho price is on the high end.
Kimberly Buchanan Smith: The smell alone is worth the price. Parisian hot chocolate was the best I've ever had. Extremely high quality chocolate with amazing whipped cream. We ordered a brownie for tomorrow and they even asked if we wanted a corner, edge or middle piece. Perfection all around.
shoffing: Fantastic brownies and cookies. Good mousse as well! Very nice people, great service!
Jen Schwartz: phenomenal chocolate mousse
nisha rangnani: A very cute little store and great customer service. I tried the chocolate mousse - it had great texture and was made from rich quality chocolate. However, it was very highly priced - not something you'd wanna spend on a mousse.
W Aurora: Great hand made chocolate. I love the walnut chocolate Especially. Some of the best chocolate i ever had in Boston.
Alice Huang: The chocolate chip cookies are THE best
Kathryn Teske: Amazing chocolate mousse!! Definitely a place I will be visiting frequently
Urvashi B: The best chocolate brownie and the best hot chocolate I have ever had! The hot chocolate is just pure semi sweet dark chocolate, added with some generous fresh whipped cream on top, love it! It's a cute tiny shop tucked inside bow market. Such an amazing find. Highly recommended!
Amartya Datta Gupta: Welp ..... Theirs is officially the best brownie I ever had. Their hot chocolate was amazing as well! I had to wait for a couple of minutes when I visited as there was no one in the store, and just for that the kind owner gave me the hot chocolate for free. I definitely recommend trying their brownie and the hour chocolate.
Jessica Compitello: Truly decadent hot chocolate, perfect to share
Prachee K: Superb chocolate mousse and European style hot drinking chocolate in Bow Market! The hot chocolate was melted to order. No cornstarch added as a thickener - it is actually pure chocolate. Luscious and rich, it comes topped with their fresh homemade whipped cream. Decadent, heavenly cup of perfection. Hot chocolate like it should be. Just like Angelina's in Paris. Highly recommend everyone to try it at least once.
Anastasia Afonina: OMG. This was the best hot chocolate in a looong time. I was stupid to only ask for a little bit of whipped cream, because the whipped cream is a wonder on its own. If this has to be your only dessert of the week - go for it.
Sarah Kramer: Excellent chocolates. Especially love the mousse.
Nicole Radunsky: World class bonbons made fresh right in the shop. I've never had anything like them, they are really truly exceptional. They have become one of my go-to gifts and people always gush about them. The hazelnut praline in particular is absurdly 🤯🤯🤯 good. All of them are. Definitely I'm obsessed. The mousse is rich and decadent. I get one to share with my two kids and it's just right. The brownies are fudgy and dense but have real quality dark chocolate taste, not at all too sweet. The hot or iced chocolate, depending on the season, beats Burdick's IMO for the best chocolate drinks in town-- it is that same European style thick decadence and the freshly made whipped cream (often with a little accent like lavender or nutmeg) puts it way way way over the top.Any Boston area chocolate lover who hasn't been to this shop yet really needs to rethink their life and get their priorities in order.
Karen Wickert: Amazing chocolate mousse! Get it in a cup or cone. Divinely chocolatey and rich, very decadent. Reminds me of the mousse I got in France. Hot chocolate was good, little rose petals and such sprinkled on top. I would have liked to know the flavor of the day before getting it since mine was lemon which I don't love. Pricey but worth it to indulge! I'll have to try their other chocolate confections soon.
Michael Kellar: A cute little chocolate shop, make a very strong dark cold chocolate with fresh home made whipped cream. Very nice service, delicious smell. If you are in the area, at least walk through the shop to make your day a little bit more fun.
