St. Mary Orthodox Church: what do users think?
Hoody Hail: The priests are renowned for their compassion. I'm often reminded of their sympathetic smile - would warm anyone's heart...
John Nicholas: A most beautiful church, choir, congregation and clergy. We travel from Ontario, Canada to attend Good Friday and Pascha because of how beautiful, welcoming, and enriching it is.
Brian Chan (brianjmchan): Beautiful liturgy (almost entirely in English) today to celebrate the Dormition of the Theotokos. Friendly pastor and flock; nice coffee social downstairs afterwards
Jeanne Brickman: My place of worship. A loving experience, always.
Thomas Varghese: I used to attend divine liturgy in this church during the two years I spent in Cambridge attending Harvard Divinity School. The community in general is warm and welcoming and father Antony is kind, gentle and caring with a great combination of spiritual depth and cultural openness. The ecumenical nature of this church, allowing space for communion for all Orthodox Christians was especially heartwarming and encouraging. I miss attending liturgy at St. Mary's and I miss the presence and conversations with Father Antony. Love, prayers and blessings from the Indian Orthodox Church.
Raj M: The Sermons, the Choir are heavenly.
No Mad (Envoy): Beautiful church
Stephen Mastrangelo: Beautiful Church with a heavenly choir. Visit and praise the Lord with a friendly parish.

Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts: what do users think?
steve andrews: went to st pauls for prayer and peace and was greeted by a drunkhomeless druggie asking for money!
Frances Costa: Wonderfully spiritual experience!
Grant Barber: The Episcopal Church welcomes you: straight, LGBTQI, older, younger. All shades of hair, skin. Single, divorced poor, rich. As priests, bishops, lay leaders, folks in the pews. We preach grace. Love and light in Jesus over against hate, mockery, grasping for power. The faith deeply roted in tradition for 21st century. Do not check your mind at the door.
Jeff Nolan: Very welcoming
Salem Alshehri: أوجدوا مكان للمسلمين للصلاة فيه... يشكرون
Jae and Will White: This is a beautiful church. I volunteered here as part of City Reach, an outreach program for unhoused Bostonians, staffed ad developed by those that are unhoused or formerly unhoused. This church is one of two who offer their space to host this outreach program.
Rick Petithory: Good attraction for homeless drug addicts
Harold Naples: Could not get in when I went cause it was closed for renovations with no warning. The lady at the desk was unpleasant and unhelpful.
melanie Zybala: Dear FriendsI realize only now that this wonderful church has played a significant role in my spiritual and musical life--since the late 1960's! If I did not have a prior deep allegiance to another church I wouldlikely become a member of Advent. Among all the churches in Boston ( I've visited many) it has themost beautiful and inspired music. And overall it has the most beautiful services: it carries on the ancient Christian rituals--forgotten in many churches-- and brings to them a breath of new life. Most of all I admire their great rectorFather Allan Warren. His sermons are thoughtful-- learned and deeply humane. Year after year,on Easter Sunday, when he declares, passionately, "Christ is Risen!" his conviction wakes up our own.Just a bit more to say. This is one of the three or so historic Beacon Hill churches and was the church of many distinguished Bostonians. I remember that our great poet Robert Lowell's funeral service was here, in 1977, attended by many well-known writers. I would add one concern: like many Boston churches ( my own included), this congregation is largely white-- though I see that it has been reaching out much more in recent years to communities of color. Thanks to the Advent for giving us in Boston so much beauty, and for keeping classic Christiantraditions in music and ceremony, alive and well.
Tom Finn: Check out the basement if you get a tour. Amazing support system for the structure. Just like Venice Italy but in its infancy. They need to keep water levels up. Alarms to off and pumps kick in if there is an issue. The Pyle's must be wet at all time so they will continue petrifying eventually turning to stone.
