Boston Watch & Clock Repair: what do users think?
Richard Tian: Walked in to fix a loose folding clasp on a watch of mine. Repaired in less than 5 min, and didn’t charge me due to the insignificance in labor of the repair. Will definitely come back in future if need to repair a watch later on.
Victoria Nord: Delivered on exactly what was promised. Cash only. Located on the second floor, to the right from the elevators.
John Kenny: Amazing experience. I had another jeweler say a repair might cost 700 dollars and take a few days. The people here did it in an hour and for 45 dollars. The new gold standard!
Alex Toribio: I love this lil spot… The old men is dope af. His expertise price quality and timing are amazing. I took in a rolex for a custom diamond dial installation. Did it infront of me no longer then 30 minutes. Showed me the inner workings of the watch. Great conversation even doe his english is choppy like mine lol. Truly a master at this. Most definitely will recommend.
marina lilieholm: This is the most helpful shop in all of Boston with possibly the only nice owner. On the 2nd floor, the man owns a small nice shop to help repair watches and clocks. I got my watch adjusted and he adjusted it four different times to make sure it fit my wrist comfortably.
Cooper Novelline: Had a watch that needed a link removed because it was too big, the owner Uri told me the links were not meant to be removed but he would give it a shot. Less than an hour later he had it figured out and it fit perfectly. Would absolutely recommend this shop to anyone, thanks Uri!
Shannon Baz-Casper: Well....he eventually got my vintage watch repaired. Unfortunately, I had to go to the shop to pick up my watch 3 different times, only to be told something like "not done. Come back Monday." Based on the reviews for this shop, I have no doubt that this gentleman is a master at his craft, but his English skills are so poor that not once was I able to understand a single thing I was told about the problem with my watch, or why it took 3x as long to fix as I was originally told.
Daniel: Se había roto un perno de la malla de acero de mí reloj y la repusieron al instante
Yisroel Markov: Old-school professional working for decent compensation and not afraid of complex jobs.
Doug Banks: Upstairs, cash-only. Great service fast.
Emily North: Immediate, quick service and fair price. I had bought a watch online and wanted it sized; when the initial resizing was a little too small they immediately adjusted it to fit. I would come back here for future watch repair needs.
Calvin Walker: I needed a pocket watch repaired/fixed and the owner took it in and I never knew it had a battery which he replaced and I had only brought a credit card (he does not accept credit cards) and he gave me the watch and trusted me to return with the money which I did with more money just for trusting me with this being my first time at this place.
Notquiteultralight: Uri did a fantastic job fixing my wife’s clock.Update. 7 months later: clock died about 3 mos after uri fixed it. In his defense, it was a nice clock brand with a cheapo AA battery movement. It was a wedding present. That’s why my wife wanted to fix it. No big deal though. Uri tried as a clock man and I tried as a husband. Uri’s more of a real clock man. Like with gears and oil and ticking noises.
K L: Excellent service every time I come here. I’ve had numerous battery watches repaired quickly and at a great rate. I just had a little piece come loose off the watch face and a jewelry shop wanted to charge me over $100 for the repair. Uri was able to fix it for a fraction of the cost! It’s great to know your pieces are being fixeD onsite and not being mailed out to someone else for repair. Highly recommend!
Vinnicios “vinny” Ferreira: Great repairs
Julie Ann: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ValueI dropped off 3 watches for new batteries, and also had a watch resized. Fantastic pricing. Had a great experience, highly recommend!
Brian Cullinane: I brought my old Ansonia clock to be repaired. Charged $120 and a few weeks later I was called and clock was ready. Brought it home and found that nothing was done to repair the problems. I brought it back and the man was very pleasant and told be few more weeks. I picked it up and after 3 days it is still only lasting 2 days on a full wind and not chiming as it should. I am very dissatisfied with this repair store. Must find another shop that can really repair an Ansonia schoolhouse clock!
Tim Maiuri: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueOne of the best places ever to get professional services for Watch and Clock Repair. I know from personal experience. I will be bringing all my business there.
Michael DiPierro: The best guy to fix any clock or watch. Specializing in Rolex. Will fix right in front of you. Very affordable
Meghan Irizarry: Positive:Professionalism,Responsiveness,ValueVery quick service. Am given a time to pick up repair, & it was done efficiently . Good cost for repair . .Gentleman was a fine craftsman. Will return for other repairs.
Boston Watch Shots: Four of my watches fixed in a half hour! SUPER reasonably priced and if anything he undercharged me. Thank you so so much, will never take any watch anywhere else in Boston again!

Ashan's Antique Clocks and Restorations: what do users think?
Denita Murphy: Ashan is amazing. I have a clock that was my grandmother's, a small piece was damaged during a move and it was not working. The clock now works well and you cannot tell it was damaged.
Lee: Ashan provided superb service with our precious grandfather clock - he was knowledgeable, responsive, practical and, most of all, trustworthy.Ashan is one of only two in the greater Boston area who are qualified to do period quality restoration and yet he is down to earth and genuine in his care to see that these antiques endure for generations to come. While his expertise is immense he’s patient without any hint of arrogance that others might use to pressure you on decisions. He’ll be younger than you expect but that’s all upside in terms of energy and respect for his customers.
Patty Rash: Great communication, prompt, thorough, very knowledgeable. Fixed my clock in a timely manner. Fantastic work. Thank you!
Patrick Cullinan: Restored an old family 'Frengley Brothers of Dublin' clock from not much more than a wall hanger or something to be harvested for scrap parts to a beautiful functional eirloom - the restotion involved making several parts and cleaningvthe working and some other repairsto the case - my clock is now my prized possession and keeps time better than my overpriced Swiss wristwatch! Below is one before photo of the workings and then 3 after photos. Could not be happier with the expertise, service and end result. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Ashan's clock repair services.
Cherie Weightman: Ashan is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and polite. Plus he stands by his services by offering a type of “check back service” at no charge if for whatever reason your time piece is still a-little off once it has been returned back to your home. I am very appreciative to have found him as he so skillfully restored and brought back to life, my two beloved clocks. From this point forward I will most certainly be employing Ashan’s talented and experienced services to handle both my antique mantle, and modern grandfather clock. Thank you Ashan 🙂
Dan, Cristina, Alejandro, and Diego Winsor: He did a wonderful job with an old mantel clock that’s been in my family for a while. He’s very professional and courteous.
Monty Hitschler: Another successful restoration for Ashan. What a fantastic experience. Ashan loves what he does and it shows. I learned so much about this early American clock. To have this beauty chiming away, as it has in my family for closing in on three centuries, is such a joy. Thanks Ashan!
dckahn: Excellent service! Highly recommend!
Stephen Packard: Ashan was very knowledgeable and super friendly. He did an outstanding job cleaning and fixing our grandfather clock. He even prioritized getting this done for us to meet our holiday schedule. I cannot recommend him enough -- he is really excellent.
Stephen: I would highly recommend Ashan. If you are looking for a knowledgeable and reliable person that can repair your clock, then you have found him. I am very happy that he got my Herman Miller grandfather clock working, and will use him to perform annual maintenance (which I didn't know I was supposed to do, and that's why the clock needed repair!).
Deborah Giannone: For months I was searching and calling people to repair and service my grandfathers clock. Finally I called, Ashan's Clock. He came the next day and took the clock apart brought the guts to his shop worked on it there and brought it back and reassembled it on site, it works great! Ashan is very polite and talented and knows clocks and takes pride in his work to make it right. I would highly recommend him to everyone for their clock repairs. J Giannone-Lynn
Katrina Bradley: Ashan took my clock that was in disrepair and no longer working, and cleaned it up beautifully! I would highly recommend his services.
Griet D.: Superb service. Ashan immediately responded to online request, did house visit to fix a family heirloom German clock with great expertise, care and ...kindness.
Gilbert Kittredge: I recently brought an antique Ships Bell mantle clock that was not working into Ashan's Antique Clocks for repair. It turned out to be a challenging repair but Asian stuck with it, was able to source a hard to find part and get my clock working again. I was very pleased with his dedication and interesting in repairing my clock and am once again enjoying the chimes that the clock makes. I would not hesitate to recommend Asian to anyone looking to repair a timepiece.
christopher walker: Did some long distance business with him. He did an excellent job with my clock dial and face and kept constant communication with me. He did an amazing job with just enough restoration to keep my clock looking and just right and aesthetically pleasing for its age. 100% would do business with them again.
Laura Prince: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueHonest
Lisa cataldo: Positive:Professionalism,Quality
Jennifer Pagan: Ashan repaired a cuckoo clock that has been in my family since the mid 1800s. My family in Michigan had tried several times to get the clock fixed and they were told it could not be done. I asked Ashaan to take a look and he was able to restore it and get it working again. The clock and all the mechanics look beautiful. He even made a house call when I had difficulty getting it up and running after I brought it home from his repair shop. I would highly recommend Ashan to repair and restore your precious clock!
Seth Einhorn: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness
Sarah Martin: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ResponsivenessWas looking to convert an old clock I had and contacted Ashan for advice. He was very helpful, quick and the end result was great! I couldn't be happier with the improvements to my clock! Would highly recommend.
Paul Boudette: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,Value

Baystate Clock: what do users think?
Ernest Greppin: I have a 60 year old Chelsea Ships Bell clock which stopped working. I brought it to Baystate Clock for repair. Unfortunately, on return, it began to loose time and I returned it to Baystate Clock for further repair which they did. The further repair work proved both difficult and time consuming but at no further cost. What is important to note in this case was the determination to identify the cause and solve the problem, which they did.
Meredith Babine: Replaced the batteries in a few of my car keys - $25/key (what I’ve paid previously at other establishments).Large selection of unique 14k gold jewelry + some costume jewelry (as well as watches). The gentleman who assisted me was friendly and helpful but wasn’t too pushy trying to sell me on jewelry while I waited when I just wanted to browse (which i appreciated).
Linda Jackson: Top notch service with a smile! Strongly recommend. Repaired this sweet little clock I had purchased in Nova Scotia years ago.

Watertown Watch & Clock Repair: what do users think?
Freddy S: I wanted to express my appreciation for your services and for reviving my Omega watch along with providing a really nice watch band to finish the servicing of this watch. Big thanks to Christine and Chris. Overall an excellent experience.
Mary Fisher: Courteous and had what I was looking for.
Albatron Afredo: I brought a galaxy 3 watch to have a band adjustment. The guy working there did not know what he was doing, and had to google directions. Yet, he still managed to break the watch bracelet. Turns out you don't need to use the pick on this bracelet and instead use another tool. Well, the brand new bracelet is now broken. The guy insists it was defective, a very convenient argument I would say considering he didn't know what he was doing. Tells me to return the watch ..... I brought it to another place and they basically told me he broke the chain link by brute forcing it... The whole time they make u think its your fault not theirs... totally unprofessional services.
Lynn Rhenisch: Wonderful shop. Two owners are welcoming, very helpful evaluating old clocks & watches and offer repairs with top expertise.
Michael Wolfson: Experts on watch repair. Husband and wife. Very pleasant and helpful. I usually just get batteries replaced but I inherited a watch and they fit it working.
Joon Son: i brought in a watch that was about 20 years old that stopped working. i thought it was the battery but it was a small mechnical issue that the owner of the business was able to adjust for me for FREE! he did not charge me for his time or labor. i could tell his business was backed up with a lot of service requests, so it was much appreciated. i will definitely come back for other needs and i highly recommend this business!! thank you!
Donna Gildea: Very helpful & very pleasantpeople! Prices very reasonable & if you pay cash, price is reduced! Worth the drive which was a few towns away
Jack Noble: Chris and Christine are always kind, pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. Look no further for watch/clock repair, service and sales.
Denis Carignan: Amazing company and amazing people, with great skill and experience. I highly recommend for reliable and professional service of all timepieces.
John Thibodeaux: Awesome people and very knowledgeable!
Patrick: Love this small business. The owners are great. Take any watch issue there. I'm sure they will try their best to help.
Kerry Maguire: I've been coming to Chris and family for years, with problems ranging from the mundane (dead watches) to the sublime (non-working family heirlooms) and a bunch of thrift store treasures mixed in. In the rare instance he can't fix them - and especially when he can - he is always generous with his expertise, time and humor. I really can not recommend them enough.
Alex Villanueva: If you are looking for outstanding, smart, passionate, polite service - THIS IS THE PLACE. It’s worth the 30 minute drive for me just to ask questions about items. Chris and his wife are very knowledgeable and friendly. Chris had given me great advice on clocks and watches and they treat all of their customers fairly and with respect. While other shops may pull you in just for the $$$ business, Chris will give you candid advice into how much repairs and service’s will cost, and to the value of your item. I wouldn’t take my timepieces anywhere else!
Todd Bello: Very Honest , and quality repairs you can trust . I have been a customer for over 25 years .
Sarah Ryan: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueNicest people ever and they have fixed every watch I have ever brought to them.
Schuyler Larrabee: They are honest and tell you what the repair will cost, and give you this information so you can make an informed decision about whether to have the work done. But when they repair it, it's going to work well!
Matthew McNeff: Wonderful local business for all of your clock and watch needs!
Mahek Shah: Positive:Professionalism,QualityVery friendly family-owned business. New location at 82 Trapelo Rd, Waltham. Knowledgable about anything I've brought in. Even tells me that its worth trying X or Y before they dive in, but if I wanted to, it would involved Z at $Price. That is a sign of honest, authentic, genuine business.
Kathryn Dennison: They are knowledgeable, thoughtful and respect sentimental value. We chose to leave a vintage watch for repair.
Ralph Hirsch: Just the nicest and most helpful people. Great prices on changing the batteries on cheap watches. Judging from the stuff in the shop they're real watch repair people.
Xiana Russell: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ValueWent in to get a watch strap swapped. Kind owner and was very quick!

JFK Clock Repair: what do users think?
David Dolfe: Positive:ProfessionalismJohn was professional, courteous and very friendly. He diagnosed the issues with my Grandfather Clock and repaired/replaced the movement. He took the time to explain all of the options available to me and was very easy to work with. Keep up the great work, John!
Mark Adams: Avoid, avoid, avoid! I needed a basic in-home service done for my grandfather clock which is basically a quick lubrication of the moving parts. John quoted me $140 for the service. When he arrived, he proceeded to evaluate all of the components and tried to upsell me on a complete overhaul even though the clock ran perfectly after it was oiled. Because he spent so much time looking for things he could fix, he demanded $350 for his visit. Never again. And, if you care, he will not wear a mask inside your house.
Rick Baker: After calling multiple clock repair shops, JFK was able to get our old cuckoo clock up and running again after a decade or so!
jjblocks2000: Personally I have known this business all my life and I think he does an amazing job with his work and does the best he can with any current circumstances. Life is not easy but he can fix a clock very well. So I would like to leave a good review.
Christy Gigante: I head my cuckoo clock repaired here years ago and it still runs great.

Village Watch Center: what do users think?
Jen Sauvé Driggs: They fixed my watch but they were rude. Poor communication. Lengthy repair time. I won’t be a returning customer.
k morrison: Avi was amazing. He fixed two vintage watches that belonged to my dad and he matched two Watch bands to these watches. They look exquisite. I won’t go anyplace else for watch repairs
Jim Nuzzo: Excellent in all respects. My go to place for vintage expensive timepieces as well as my Lux Vox.
Nathan Andrews: Great service and fair prices for watch repair and tuneup. I had a vintage omega and a Longines serviced there recently, and would go back again.
Amy West: I have a vintage mid-century modern starburst clock that is beautiful, but no longer worked. I took it to Village Watch, and within two days they restored it to its former glory! The electric motor was beyond repair, so they lovingly replaced it with a battery-powered movement while keeping the original hands and sweeping (not ticking!) second-hand. I am so pleased to see this great clock keeping faithful time once again. The family that runs Village Watch are very skilled and can be trusted with your most treasured timepieces. Their work is worth every penny!
Gerald Kelly: I walked in and had a battery and band replaced. Done in 15 mins. Reasonably priced. Would go again.
Cooper Gold: Avi and the team at Village Watch Center are the only people I trust with my timepieces. My most recent engagement with them was very personal to me as they completely cleaned and fixed my grandfathers 1962 Rolex Day Date. It is now in perfect condition. If you need work done, I highly recommend this place for all watch services.
Ikanagas: I brought a 1990s watch for a battery change. He told me “it was a nice watch” and he didn’t have the battery available but he would have it later that day. I then got a text that the battery had leaked and the watch needed to be refurbished. He said it would cost $800. I asked him how much the watch was worth and he told me it was worth $2,000 because he knew people that collect them and would be willing to pay that price. I checked on eBay and found the same watch for $350 fixed price. I called again and said I would stop by and pick it up since I could not afford an $800 repair and he told me they were running a special for $500. I stopped by and picked up the watch without doing the repair.I then went on YouTube, saw a video on how to change the battery and did it myself after getting the right battery from Amazon for less than $10.You can post all the positive reviews you want, but this business is shady at best. I feel sorry for the tons of old ladies he must have scammed over the years.
Rommel: Great buying experience with Avi. I was searching around the Boston area for an Omega Speedmaster reduced with no luck. Fortunately I found Avi's store in Brookline! I left a voicemail and within 30 min he called me back, telling me it was available. I was so excited! The watch is in excellent vintage condition, keeping perfect time, and best of all, it had a very competitive price! Highly recommended! If you are looking for a certain horology piece make sure to check with Avi at Village watch center!
Matthew Mattis: Not my style of business, where we haggle, secret meeting and all. It's like buying a car, except it's servicing my watch. I get it that most people enjoy the negotiations.Quoted me for a repair and it was over my price estimate, takes to the back room and negotiates down. I mean, why didn't you just give me that price to begin with. You wanted to up charge me to see if I fall for it? If it really cost $300 to repair. But, you're going to see if I'll pay $700?Sorry, not my type of business. I want someone that's honest and straight forward with me.
S E: Brought my Movado in to be serviced. Avi and his team did a great job fixing my watch movement. All work was done onsite and was ready within a few days. Price was within my budget. Thank you Avi
Brian Cullen: Extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They picked my watches up at my home and provided fast precision service. Very friendly and great prices
Nate Stafford: Pay heed to the reviews cautioning you about this place. I had a negative experience. I dropped my watch off for a battery replacement. I got a text from the owner saying that it needed $400 worth of repair work. He said the battery had expelled acid into the watch, and there was cleaning plus additional repairs that needed to be done. He said that it was a very old watch and disrepair.I told him that recently the entire watch had been refurbished by an omega master watchmaker, so I wanted to see what the issue was. I told him I would be back in town in a couple days, and would come by. I did not get a response for a while, and when I finally did it just stated that they did the cleaning, and replace the battery and I owed $150. All of that was completed without my final consent. Not having seen the watch, I can't say if it was or wasn't damaged, but it seems very unlikely considering I've had a full refurbish, and had changed the battery pretty regularly. It had gone about 2 years since the last replacement. The whole situation did not feel right, but it is one of my cherished possessions that is irreplaceable. I did not trust the shop, and I didn't want to argue. I just wanted to pick up my watch. I will never go back here.
Padraic Morris: Absolute legends
Jordan Rudman: Avi and his dad did a wonderful job restoring a family heirloom clock! They were super communicative and gave me a great price. Highly recommend.
Emily Ide: Great service! They added links to a watch and restrung two strands of pearls and did a beautiful job. I’ll definitely go back for watch service
Ilona: I had a wonderful experience with Avi and Liana at Village Watch Center! Custom designed diamond anklet exceeded my expectations. I received multiple compliments already! Can you imagine seeing that gorgeous sparkle on your ankle while walking on a sandy beach in some tropical paradise?!!! Highest quality diamonds, beautiful design (diamonds by the yard), and amazing customer service. You get treated like family here.
Devon Resnikoff: Great service fixing/engraving my watch! Would go back
Graeme Grant: Great service that is fast and high quality! I have taken watches as nice as Tag's and as simple as Timex and all have been repaired quickly, professionally and cost effectively. Highly recommended!
C Kiely: Timely and high quality service. Highly recommend!
Kenia Doratt: Amazing service, Avi was very polite and worked with me to figure out what was the best plan for my repair.
