New England Comics: what do users think?
andrew nickerson: Great service and I like the small store feel. It's super sad that this location is closing.
Jaime Roman: Update the page. I want to go off so bad on here that I drove 2 hours. For you to have a paper on the door that Sundays now closed. When I looked beforehand. Thank you for the waste of time.
Joseph Chow: They now sell trading card pages 5 for $1 or 1 for 25¢.
john jordan: Nice place, good selection.
Joseph Vendetti: Best comic shop around
James Reetzke: Very friendly staff!
Kaz Filus: The comics at this place are super well organized. Finding what you want is super easy. And the staff is super helpful if you aren't seeing what you're looking for.
Brian Rodrigues: Great store. Very helpful.
James Bacon: Warm welcome with a great stock of comics. This is one of the smaller NEC shops but it’s chockablock full of comics and ephemera. They have an excellent bargain GN section and overall I often find the more unexpected comic here.Hannah, in charge Today, was delightfully brilliant in her knowledge of comics and we spoke at length about Star Wars comics and of course I picked up some issues based on her recommendations. Such a friendly and positive experience.
Erin Ford: Wonderful and vast selection and very friendly staff. The woman who was behind the the counter when i was there was an absolute delight! She had read just about every graphic novel on the bookshelf and could give you a synopsis of any one you picked. She recommended this book and the author to me after i asked for a colorfully illustrated historical fiction with a cartoony art-style. Needless to say she was right and I couldn’t put this book down! Thank you to the cool lady with the lip piercing and to New England Comics! -Erin
Joseph Chaves: Very friendly staff. Helped me pick out a new series to read.
Olivier Discazeaux (Discaz): Great selection of comic books at a gentle price (They seems to often have salesor second hands books). One of the best in the neighborhood.
Alex Reganata: Lemme tell you about this place. The people here are extremely friendly - they will share their personal expertise and knowledge of the material with you in a heartbeat. Let them recommend something to you, and you'll be pleasantly surprised!
Josh Hensley: Small but knowledgeable
Marc Duby: Great selection, always good deals
Andy H.: Amazing
Bud Sims: Friendly staff and a great selection
Dan RK: Deeply knowledgeable staff, great selection, and a general feeling of being in the right place the comic lover.
Eric Cheung: Great local shop. This place was my go to for my weekly comics when I went to school in cambridge. Staff is great, and always stop by when I'm in town
Joe Mac The Car Guy: Best place to get comic books!
Chad Rankin: I love thid comic shop. Friendly service, they sell the lstest msgic the gathering cards as well as other trading card games, and are knowledgable on release dates of various items in their store. I highly recommend giving them a visit.

The Million Year Picnic: what do users think?
Ianna Hawkins Owen: TONY RULES. I LOVE THIS SHOP. AHHHHH.
Radio OfHorror: Such a great classic old school style comic book store. The oldest in New England thanks for carrying Vlada. A Dracula Tale
Jordan Moore: A great selection of new and used comics and graphic novels. The store manager also went above and beyond to help me look for a niche collection of a comics from 1987 that I wanted to purchase as a gift. Really appreciated the extra help, as I know nothing about comics
RoadTrip NewEngland: Great old-school indie comic shop, that actually stocks lots of comics. The shelves are full of comics, the boxes on the shelves are full of comics and the displays are full of comics that have been collected into graphic novels. You’ll find tons of backlist here and old issues. The selection is great with tons of bestselling and cult favorite titles. The store is in the basement level under (approx) the Verizon store in Harvard Square. You’ll notice the window displays at ground level as you walk by.
Terato Marty: Everything from the big publishers down through indie titles to zines banged out on someone's home printer. Plus they sold my zine back in the day.
Gianna P: went in on a whim and was so pleasantly surprised!! amazing selection of comics and graphic novels for all ages and types. diverse range of comics too (especially in the indie section). the woman who was working there yesterday was such a joy to talk to as well, and very helpful! definitely recommend going here as opposed to some place like newbury comics, support a local black owned business!!
Loren Chen: Amazing and knowledgeable owner. More variety than your average comic book store. A must visit!
Michael A. Burstein: This is a great store for all your comic and graphic novel needs. They have everything and if they don’t they can get it for you. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Sandesh Joshi: Such an amazing book store. I wanted to visit it for a long time and finally was able to visit it. We entered the stored right around their closing time. I just wanted to take a look but they let us browse for some time. The collection they have is great and it was really difficult for us to get just few books as we wanted to get all of them. Definitely going to visit again.
Sula Gordon: Great place! The selection is amazing and the owner is the sweetest
Ember Heck: loved inching through the quiet stacks of comics here, so many treasures to discover
Anyenda Inyagwa: Tony is incredibly nice and provides a great customer experience. I can't recommend this place enough.
Lucy Backman: Just tell the staff what you're interested in and you'll have something new to read in your hands before you've finished your sentence. Love this place and the staff are awesome, everything they've recommended has been a new favorite. Great selection on manga, comics, and graphic novels.
Roy Hebert: Stellar service. Store was very responsive over email and phone; the entire process was a breeze. They were very willing to work out pickup vs. delivery options and had everything I was looking for in stock. Thanks, Picnic!
C M: A wonderful friendly local comic shop with a lot of heart and great staff. After COVID forced me to relocate out of state, they have been incredibly helpful in getting my subscriptions sent to me. Can't recommend them enough!
Devon: Wonderful experience buying books for a course. Tony is delightful and I am excited to come back just for fun.
Jordan: Great little store with a wide variety of titles.
diana macarthur: Lovely, informative, friendly staff!
Alexander Herlihy: Amazing books
James Bacon: Definite for comic fans. This comic shop is small for a US Store, but crikey, they fit in a lot. They have a huge stock and the guys at the desk know their stuff. I’d love them to expand (I know, it’s tough) and my most recent visit they seemed to be working hard to get more order on the back issue area. I found a bargain and was quite pleased. Always worth a visit.

Newbury Comics: what do users think?
Kevin Morrison: BEST PLACE ON EARTH GO NOW!!!
M. Mazz: It’s a really good newbury comics. Location is great. I’m really sad that the garage will be closing, this, chameleon, and audio lab are basically the only remaining businesses. Once the garage closes for good, Harvard square as I knew it is dead.
Heather Noel: There was an event going to take place 9/2/22 where emails were sent out 8/23/22 to purchase tickets to attend the event for YUNGBLUD. His new self-titled album was set to be released the day of this event as well, however at midnight. The email said there was a signing & a performance. Either way I’d still buy them, but I’d feel more secure knowing what to expect, how to plan etc. My immediate family, whom I lovingly call, “The 6 Pack of Awesome-ness”, includes myself (ofc), my 28 yr old daughter & her son (my 4 yr old grandson), my 12 & 11 yr old daughters & my 7 yr old son all love & adore him beyond words. While in the process of buying our tickets, we called Newbury Comics to ask if in fact we’d meet him and he’d sign the album. We were told emphatically yes & that after everyone received theirs a performance would take place. Not much else was able to be answered for us. We had to act quick too, being that we were unsure of how quick tickets would sell. We couldn’t find out if we needed to purchase the cd or the pink vinyl. The vinyl was $20 or so more than cd. Many other necessary details were unable to be given to us. Ultimately we purchased 6 tickets, 4 for cds & 2 albums. We then kept checking different places online & calling off and on for any updates. Each time being told that yes everyone will meet & have signed their album then wait for the show. But we found out other details right up until the day of the event & we were all sitting there, 2nd in line waiting for what we were still unsure exactly was going to take place. We spoke to 3 people in total that worked there, starting from when we bought the tickets. We found out that there would be 2 separate shows, the 1st at 8 for whomever bought cds & the 2nd at 915 for vinyls. The most frustrating thing now was we were told when we called while trying to find parking, that the albums were already signed and that there would be a question and answer time somewhere during the show and anyone could raise their hands to ask something. But that was then also changed to everyone would stand in line that wanted to ask a question and u would go up to the mic when it was your turn to ask something. After staying overnight in our hotel patiently waiting to go to the show, then waiting from 1230pm til things started about 810pm, our hopes and excitement were constantly being tested and it was a roller coaster of emotions. Throughout 10 days leading up to the event the amount of misinformation we received, and the lies we were told are unthinkable, unfair, unethical, irresponsible, unprofessional, and just wrong. No question and answer type thing ended up even happening either. We all remained positive, no matter what, cos that’s the way I am & have raised my babies to be. We make the best of situations, as best we can sometimes, so for us all that day it still resulted in a memorable few days, as we all were able to attend both shows, we were all together front row only a couple feet away having the time of our lives singing, dancing, & listening to YUNGBLUD’s amazing voice belt out his new songs. Many times thru the shows he came over to us, and focusing on my 7 yr old son & 4 yr old grandson, playing the guitar, singing, & dancing w/them. Both shows were nothing short of what we always know YUNGBLUD to be, & that includes fookin mental, amazing, fun, exciting, happy +⬆️ !!!!So while it’s very wrong, in every way& for whatever reason, what Newbury Comics did & how they handled things, nothing got in the way of our beautiful mindset. What we set out to do was a success.I hope they will change their ways of doing business. To add a side not: even if lies were told, due to the fact that these workers didn’t know the answers to the questions being asked, it doesn’t change the fact that it was still a lie. For me I would’ve rather been told they were unsure because they weren’t given all the details or something to that effect. I hope this review will help someone in the future, if it ends up they are in a similar situation. BE FOOKIN HAPPY 🖤🖤

Alejandro Nuñez-Jimenez: Somewhat hidden in the upper floor of The Garage, Newbury Comics offers a large selection of American comic magazines and albums, Manga, LPs, books, anime figures and all kinds of merchandise and much more. I personally loved to find some stranger retro-sci-fi stuff among the many DC and Marvel comics. Friendly staff. I will visit soon for the next issue.
Danny Ivester: They had a ton if Good records from all genres
Aydin Sengun: Great location, parking can be a bit tough when you're in the city, but that holds true for any place in Cambridge. The store has a decent selection of music (Primarily in the form of CDs), and while smaller than other locations, it's still worth a visit.

Leah Klein: Same as it ever was. The vibe stays the same the eras and messages that are cool just keep updating. Gifts for almost anyone- Manga, Vinyl, CDs, music
Dan: They had all kinds of things here, from comics to bored games.
