Farnaz Varmazyari: I passed my road test thanks to Cory! He is a kind and patient instructor. He provided me helpful tips on how to drive safely on top of the tips to pass the test. During my lessons, I felt comfortable and supported. When I made mistakes he calmly walked me through my options and assisted me to figure out what was best to do. He helped me build my skills and become more confident navigating through busy city streets.Alexa is kind, helpful, and accommodating with booking lessons, scheduling the road test, and all the preparation before and during the test.
Ritika P: I could not recommend Shammah Driving School more highly. It costs more than some other schools in the Boston area, but it’s absolutely worth it for the quality of instruction! I took lessons with Cory who was patient and supportive, and consistently held me to a high standard. He taught me how to navigate different situations, corrected my mistakes, and made me drill different techniques until I was comfortable. Thanks to his instruction, I made considerable improvement in driving and passed my test today! More importantly, I gained a confidence in my ability to drive safely.

Cambridge based.Cons: Not good on instruction, expensive for what it is, instructors will be on phones (watching something or scheduling tutor for kids/ calling family).Took 8 hr of class, 6 with Corey, 2 with Michael. Main lacking point is on the instruction quality, they know how drive, but could improve on empathy, patience and communication. I imagine driving multiple hours in Cambridge with students is very stressful.
Lawrence: Took 5 classes with Corey and passed. Excellent instructor, teaches you how to drive safely yet confidently. Absolutely recommend.
Zoe A: Although my coach Lucien is a good guy, I think I should have received more specific instructions based on the price I paid. The teaching style of Lucien is not very beginner-friendly. There’re many classes I felt I didn’t get any instructions and just drove by myself as Lucien was on the phone for more than 2/3 of time. If you can drive already and just need a brush up driving lesson, it’s a good option, because they will pick you up at your place, which is very convenient

Cory was a great instructor – he knew what was on the test, and gave very good advice on how to improve my driving and how to drive safely, not just to pass the test but to be a good driver in general. Booking lessons was really smooth, and since you could choose your pickup and dropoff location it was very convenient.

Joshua Li: Had zero prior driving experiences.First lesson on 5/4/2022.Passed road test on 7/25/2022 (first attempt).Did a total of 20 hours with Cory + 2 hour of Highway lesson.Cory gave very practical lessons that extended beyond just passing the exam...like how to drive safely around the narrow bustling streets of Cambridge, MA.As as result, I was able to confidently drive from Boston to the White mountains, NH and back (~150miles one way) within 5 months (10/8/2022) of my first lesson.Strongly recommend Cory.

Ashley James: Going off of all the good reviews that I saw here on Google, I’m not sure what kind of driving instructors others have had, but I just left my first driving lesson with Gregory feeling very discouraged and not confident at all. He didn’t really have the best attitude when teaching me the basics first. Also, I kept telling him that this was my first time driving behind the wheel ever. There should’ve been a driving instructor who was more patient and understanding, and humble. One that’ll make me feel more confident and not so discouraged after my very first lesson that I was so excited about. However, I did not get that experience. Not the best attitude nor personality at all.

Aurelie Garrick: The only thing I did not like was that they would occasionally show up late. Otherwise, they are right around my price range and they are very patient. I took my son there and they took care of everything. They put the test for him and they picked him up and took him there.
12 Care: This is a group of people who are really caring. They will take care of everything for you as you go about setting your road test date.
Mary Magdala Bernard (mry140717): This auto company does not even deserve a star they are highly unprofessional and even if you're on a low budget please do not go to them. They showed up late to every single one of my lessons. After I decided to stop working with them and go with another company a year later. I find out that they scheduled 3 Different Rd. test for me without my permission and it got canceled three different times costing me a grand total of $140.00 on top of me paying for my license. I am highly infuriated and I will be taking them to small claims court. I attempted to speak to the manager and all he did was yell and claim that I knew about the three different road test and I didn't show up. It's truly disgusting. Please please please do not go to these people. I am Haitian and I understand it's a Haitian let company but Haitians please do not go and give these people business because they are highly unprofessional. Look up other reviews and they'll tell you the samething

Brian D. Riggs Riggs: I was With TDA and it’s was a nightmare, I moved my son to parkway and we could not of had a better experience. I don’t think my son needed the practice road test but I did it because he has never drove on the roads in Hyde park that the test was on. He took his road test on Saturday and he passed. He got in the car and said it was to easy. We both recommend Parkway driving school highly

Amishai GG: Overall, a great experience with Parkway. My only qualm is that not all of their instructors are created equal—the vast majority are excellent and keenly attuned to how you’re driving with ways to correct it. Still, a few seem zoned out and struggle to clearly advise you on how to improve your maneuvers. That said, I would not hesitate to use Parkway again and would not have passed my road test without them. If you can, try to get Chris as your instructor for some lessons—he was the single most helpful to me.

Doron Bracha: We had a very good experience with Parkway Driving School. They guided us and our daughter thru the process, provided info and links to set up accounts, download an app, pay RMV fees etc. The instructor agreed to pick up and drop off at our home, which was much more convenient than having to go to their office many times.Our daughter completed all the required training, and more hours than required driving with a parent. She was quite calm and confident, passed the driving test and got a license. The process takes several months so plan ahead and don't rush it, safety above all. Good luck !

Changyu Chen: I payed for a weekend test, and instead got a Monday test. This is what Bernadette said: 'Although it is unusual to get a weekend test, we cannot guarantee any dates. It is probably because RMV examiners take more vacations in the summer.' If it's unusual to get a weekend test, why would you advertise it as a weekend one?On the test day, the examiner is rude, condescending and seems to hate his job, nothing like the examiners I saw on YouTube. As I started the test, he was still complaining with Bernadette about a previous student. How is that going to help me except for building up pressure??

Adia Porter: Paul was a wonderful instructor. He was calm and was great at explaining how to parallel park.
Margaret Warner: scheduling was easy, and Paul was a great instructor. I was able to pass my test on the first try with no problems. would 100% recommend!
Fatima Moulay: The worst auto school
DSH: haven't taken any lessons yet, but talking to them on phone wasn't a pleasant experience. Couldn't get any relevant info from them.
Lilin Reyes-Cortez: The driving instructor I had was nice, but there was a miscommunication that happened. I missed ONE class of my driving lesson and apologized many times. And I asked when can I reschedule all I got was a “no sorry”. I wouldn’t waste my time here.
Thao Nguyen: Highly recommend Heman as an instructor!!! He is always on time and responsive. As an adult learning how to drive for the first time in Somerville and Cambridge, I could not have been more anxious, but Heman made me feel at ease during our lessons. He was quick to respond when I am nervous but he also gave me the freedom to drive without too much hovering. In total, I did about 6-7 lessons with the school. I could not say more great things about this guy!Minus one star because I had a negative experience with the road test through the school and it was not worth paying the extra money. I took 1 road test through the sponsor of the school at Malden for $140 and then one on my own at Lawrence for $35. The experience was night and day. The examiner in Malden was late himself and made us wait 3+ hours. During the test, the examiner unnecessarily touched my arm a couple of times (when I make a mistake like forgetting to signal, but also when I do things correctly like stopping for a pedestrian to pass). To top it off, he came off intimidating and borderline rude, which made the nerve worst. The examiner in Lawrence was professional, on time, and provided clear instruction, and constructive advice - I passed there. Both examiners made me do very similar tasks, drive on quiet roads, parallel parking, 3-point turn, and reverse in straight lines. Both tests took about 10-15 minutes. But the experience at the Lawrence RMV was more pleasant, took less time, and was much more affordable.
Shady Sam: First time I scheduled they never showed up, the second time the instructor screamed at me when I asked to speak a little slower as I was having trouble understanding him. Very unprofessional.
Xiomara Iraheta: I called to schedule a driving lesson, the person that answered was super rude. I asked for 1-2 lessons just to be prepared for my upcoming road test, he didn’t like that I didn’t need him to sponsor me to take the test, and said he “didn’t have time for that” and hung up
Gaurav Saymi: Great people, and very easy to get in touch with. I had my lessons with Heman and he was always on time, polite and very patient. Highly recommended for anyone trying to learn to drive

You have to listen and take your driving seriously.After a few lessons and passing my exam on the first try, I recommend friendship driving school to everyone.

The way he explains driving is straightforward and thorough! As the driver it is up to you to listen and follow his direction. hilary vergera: I took a few lessons with Heman last year, as a very insecure adult driver from the city. He really built my confidence and after just three or four lessons encouraged me to schedule my road test. When I emailed to set up a lesson at first, Paul was really helpful too. They picked me up and dropped me off at my house, right on time, every time. It’s a really well-run place, and they listen to what you’re less confident in so you can focus on that in the lessons. Easy transactions and they take care of the process side. The school’s cars were nice, clean and easy to adjust and drive. It was definitely time and money well spent - passed on my first attempt, even with a nightmarish RMV proctor. I had a great experience with this business and would recommend them to anyone, especially nervous adults.
Vallerine Mascarenhas: My experience with Friendship Auto School was excellent. From booking my first lesson to scheduling and taking the road test, everything was done with such ease. I had to cancel my road test the first time due to scheduling conflicts, but Heman, my instructor, was quick to respond and scheduled the next test within a week.Heman is very patient, encouraging and knowledgable. He really instills confidence in you and teaches you to be a better drive. Not to mention the tips and tricks he has for all maneuvers.I'd highly recommend Friendship Auto School and Heman.
Hari Vikas: Due to COVID, after I got my learner's, the only appointment I could find was 4 days after or 2 months away. No other appointments available. Dominic was super helpful in accommodating me at the last min and helped me practice. I have been driving for a long time, just not in the US but I still made mistakes during the practice lesson. Dominic helped me work on those and I passed the road test. Strongly recommend this driving school.
