MIT List Visual Arts Center: what do users think?
COSTER SCOTT: Was enjoyed a Sung Tieu show at the List recently (Wednesday April 5th 2023), - it’s quite beautiful and moving. My thought was that the work didn’t elicit a feeling of isolation - the effect (mostly due to dark ambient music) was pensive, yes, but the space was also quite open. See pictures. The List desk lady told me dismissively that I didn’t understand the work (and couldn’t) because I wasn’t a refugee or seeking asylum. I’m not seeing a whole lot of people seeking asylum here, and quite certain nobody would “get” this work if it didn’t have an essay explaining it. The place is like that these days.
Amy Ouyang: I highly recommend visiting the MIT Arts Center! I enjoyed my time there and the staff were quite helpful!
Van Trieu: This is my third time came here. Lex Brown’s show is great. The staffs also very helpful and answered all my questions.
anulak phanekham: Really enjoyed my time here! Nice staff and great exhibits.
Sara McDevitt: MIT campus is a wonder! Amazing outdoor spaces, architecture, public art. Staff in the Visual Arts Center was helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, we were there during exhibition changeover but loved the video installation by Allison Nguyen. ❤️ MIT!Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Price for adult entry Free …More
Chris “Snellinstein85” Snell: Amazing art pieces
Kā'ai Fernandez: It's a fun and quick exhibit—they change the exhibit every couple of months, and the whole thing will take you about 10 to 30 minutes to get through. Good for a side stop on your day out, but as the main event.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No Price for adult entry Free …More
ggboom: Great!
Arthurious: While the building is massive & modern and the admission is free, there's barely anything to see inside with a few smaller rooms scattered through the corridor. The current exhibition "Symbionts: Contemporary Artists and the Biosphere" was not impressive
Annie Lee:
Jun Zhuang: creative
John Ta: The space is really nice but This place is barely functioning. They call it bio art but all I see is sand on the ground and vomit on the windows. This place must be a money laundering or tax haven loophole cos I see nothing. Word around the campfire says it was funded by bill gates and Jeffrey Epstein. 2 stars cos it’s free.
Elisa Cortés: very nice space, is never crowded and everyone that works here is just beyond wonderful!

Trey Color: It is a beautiful building but they had some very strange artifacts in the art gallery. The woman who let us in was very helpful in telling us about why they were in such a closed status (covid precautions good for them) and recommending things we should do.I want to go back but I surely would not visit the same gallery once again. I'm sure if I had to pay for it I would have been upset with the trip to the gallery. Maybe if I had read the description it would have been more clear, but I could not even be bothered to do that.

alexander valaris: They have a wide range of artifacts from Roman and Greek to oriental as well as a nice display of ancient gold and silver coins with a magnifying glass to help you see detail. They have an impressive amount of paintings from Renoir to Van Gough. I'd give yourself at least half a day to see everything. The parking meters are free on Sunday and the Sunday I visited admission to the museum was as well.

Frances Ha: I went on Sunday morning when the museum is free to visit; it has great collection of artwork be it paintings, artefacts, sculptures, pottery, textiles, photography, mix media and represents major at movements all over the globe.Street parking is also free on Sundays but recommend to be there early otherwise one would need to drive around to find an empty spot.
Busch-Reisinger Museum: what do users think?
G S: Upon entry into Harvard Art Museums' Busch-Reisinger Museum, German/Austria venue, an original Wilhelm Lehmbruck sculpture (Head of a girl c. 1913/pink-tainted plaster) rests dignified. An absolute representation of his period works. Of note, (opinion) Mies van der Rohe's Krefeld Villas and Tugendhat Villa once prominently displayed his close friend Lehmbruck's (Torso/girl turning) which showcased MvdR's movement/assimilation towards modern architecture.Further into the venue are Bauhaus alumni displays: Laszlo Maholy-Nagy, Josef Albers, Marianne Brandt, Samovar, Wilhelm Wagenfeld, to name a few (largest collection of Bauhaus artifacts outside of Germany). Of note, this visit was precursor with a visit to the Walter Gropius residence, Lincoln MA. (Largest collection of Bauhaus furniture outside of Germany).Caveat: 22 mile distance between Gropius house and museum.Highly endorse
Hector Caceres: Absolutely beautiful architecture by Renzo Piano. Worth a visit to experience the atrium. Come check it out!
vivian Liu: Such great , in love it. Most remarkable German Expressionism collection

The Collection of Historical Scientific Instruments at the Putnam Gallery: what do users think?
Aakash M. Suchak: The size of a single art gallery, you will see 300 years of scientific development and innovation at Harvard. Couched within the Science Center and the Program in the History of Science, you will see thoughtfully curated and thought provoking instruments that enhanced medical treatment, navigation, time keeping, and psychological intervention. Recommended to pique the curiosity of the young and heighten the stimulation for the old. Free and open to the public, this collection is not to be missed.

Rose Davis: It was not easy to find this museum, you have to look around for the sign upstairs. The museum itself is situated in the Science block of Harvard University. It is not big, just one room which is full with all kind of inventions from different times. On the second floor there is another room, but there is nothing to see there. The entrance to the museum is always free, and it is really great.

Igor Grigoryev: This is one room museum, however it contains very unique elements and interesting history.
Jarrett Joubert: Truly unlike anything I have ever seen. If you enjoy science, you owe it to yourself to visit at some point if you ever find yourself in the area.
Lionel Spiro: The H Scientific Museum is a hidden treasure. It is absolutely worth visiting. It is easy to get to, free and fairly small. A half hour might be an average visit, though one can take a few hours getting in to some of the substantive exhibits. The Science Center at Harbard also has a great and inexpensive dining place.

Arlene Yarde (ISAJ): It's a beautiful art gallery
Aaron “Mayhem” Miles: Absolute per. Highly recommend
Pab Ru: Nice to see
frank borghette: Excellent place to go highly recommend
Matias Ramos: Fascinating

Ms.5678 Chanel Performancebuild: Amazing gallery
Semira Rose: one of my special places to visit when I lived in Cambridge
L.E.J. Carty: Kudos for curating an exhibition of Black political art with the temporal depth to connect the battle against racism across generations to our current national context. In addition the exhibit shows the global colonial economic basis for racism with pieces connecting the fight for liberation from colonialism in Asia to Black liberation in America.
Oliver Ames: There are few museums that make you feel real emotion. This gallery does that by pushing our perceptions of race and challenging our comfort zones. They dabble in all areas of art from music and dance, the photography and digital art. These different forms of art play to a wide variety of tastes and expectations. The Cooper Gallery is a refreshing look at what a museum can and should be. Worth going back to check out the newest exhibits.

Jin Y.: Came here to visit a friend who is a professor. Got to see his office, the museum component, the cafe. What a lovely space to feel your Cretaceous juices flowing.
Alex Hill: Go Corbu! Another gem to visit on your Boston Architectural tour. The approach to the building is up symmetrical ramps from either side of the building. Lot's of heavy concrete and interesting view corridors.
Marvin Fuentes: Hermoso museo
Po Yu Chung: Great building! Worth visiting! Most space are studio and workshop, only one room is open to the public.
J W: cool art studio / gallery by Le Corbusier, his only building in north america so a must visit if you are in town. unfortunately the glorious original ramp was severed and partially replaced with the harvard art museum's new construction, absolutely disgraceful and in poor taste if you ask me. still an important piece of architecture to experience. there are some small temporary exhibits. most of the building is dedicated to housing art studios for the university's students.
Ben Smith: Corbusier!
Robert Vincent: WOW what an amazing building. Really cool how you can go in and see many of the rooms. Be sure to check out the small book store.
Ginna Lopez: Its a space to embrace your creativity.

Itamar Ronen: The only building by Le Corbusier in North America, still shines in its originality and form. House to free, often interesting exhibitions and the Harvard Film Archive, it's a wonderful place to see and visit.

diego ferreiro: Clásico de la arquitectura moderna!! Imperdible si uno visita Boston. Horarios reducidos para el ingreso
