Deer Island Wastewater Treatment Plant: what do users think?
Mallory Chaput: This place has great vibrations and atmosphere. Feels like home.
Jim Bromberg: What an amazing walk! On windy days, dress very warm and plan on potentially protecting yourself and your camera from huge splashes of water! The waves come crashing over the walls during several parts of this walk! The views are stunning and you are facing the ocean the entire time! Waterproof footwear will have your feet thanking you!
Alma Johnson: great place!
Alex Pearlstein: I tell ya, You haven't been treated like wastewater until you've been to deer. I mean that in all the best ways. You go in feeling like gray water, and, then leave feeling fresh as a daisy. I only trust them with my waste water. I don't even know why someone would want to or even consider going anywhere else.
Jack C: No complaints. They do their job well and keep the harbor clean.
Lux Llama Productions: Nice
Jack: "deer island" is amusing
Charles Dysart: This isn't Fort Strong!
Steve Santiago Andujar: Just working, here for the day...
Jerry Malinowski: Love refilling my bottled spring water there. Cheapest in town at 18 cents a gallon. Most places charge 75 cents or more, and tastes better than store bought.Feels good to support local business too.
Paul Stansifer: Take the tour! Not only is it an great look into how water treatment works (and hardly smelly at all, thanks to the odor management system), but the management of sewage in urban areas is one of the greatest health achievements of all time and Deer Island is, depending on what measure you use, the largest or second largest wastewater treatment plant in terms of volume of water treated.(Also, if you work for Firaxis, this should be a World Wonder in the next Civilization game. Thanks!)
Jeffrey Butters: I went down Deer Island about 5:30 am Sunday to beat the rush . The temp was about 76° with very little wind and very few people. It was a very enjoyable walk. It is now 2:27 close to 100° and couldn't and probably wouldn't want to get close to that place.
S Z: Love riding my bike up there, the hills.great sites and you get to see all kinds of birds.
Frank Groosman: Great walk with great views!
Bob: Beautiful views of the Harbor Islands.
Quinn Jones: A nice three one-to-two hour loop with very nice views. The loop around the island is completely paved, making it accessible for almost anyone.
Rachael Romano: Great place for my waste to go! Great service! Wish they had better Salads though.
KTBYTE Computer Science Academy: Service was terrible. Considering everything, you would expect them to at least have decent water. People kept yelling at me! "This isn't a restaurant!"; "You're not allowed in here!". Its like they didn't want my business! Ravioli was decent.
M Frizzell: Lots of super mutants in this area, explore with caution.
