Montrose Spa: what do users think?
Gloria Calib: Highly recommended
Joel Bader: Fantastic experience
hey hey: Best sandwiches and "curiosity" food store ever!
Jay Kim: Good peopleGood serviceGood foodIt is a nice little convenience store
Nick Benik: I buy a Desperado sandwich every time I happen to find myself back in Cambridge. I found out that all their fancy mayos and sauces they use on the sandwiches are homemade!
Nick N: Love this place! A true Cambridge icon; Tommy is always great for a chat, and they have a convenient and widely stocked selection of everything you could need. Plus, great deli counter & sandwiches.
Irena Huang: Love the sandwiches here
Hen Gint: The best spa in Cambridge.
J B: On the more expensive side, but it has everything you need, and good quality products.
yumeng wu: No laughing cow😩😩😩😩😡😡 😭😭😭
Ron Yang: True neighborhood classic. This is where I run for that extra egg, when I’m missing a tomato, when I’m craving a Diet Coke, or when I just want to grab a simple Cuban for lunch. Love them.
Leah Klein: The thing to get here is any sandwich you like on French bread pressed. Our favourite is a Cuban sandwich. The French bread is the soft white kind which is exactly what you want for a Cuban - It works well for just about any fillings though too. Next time i want to also try a breakfast sandwich. Montrose Spa is a Mass Ave mainstay. It had been around for as long as I can remember and has nor lost any of its heart, soul and taste. Great spot too if you need some necessities, bread, a drink, some chips, cut fruit etc.
Michael Bassett: Best Cuban sandwich ever... N Tommy is a great guy...👍
Etta Wing: Tommy is a great guy. I worked for him in 1980.
Maureen Testa: Very nice and accommodating
Chris Facey: I love this place, classic little family-owned Cambridge bodega, best breakfast sandwiches in the zip code. Yes, you will pay a little more for the location. No, they're not as fast as McDonald's. But you get what you pay for and totally worth the wait. The whole family are sweethearts - ask Tommy for a Cambridge history lesson!
Paul Clarke: this place is great
Alan Theriault: Great food and service
Terry Posner: One of the most overpriced, under-shelved bodegas I have ever been to. They take 12 minutes to make you a sandwich. They keep their refrigerated food and drinks lukewarm. They charge obscene prices ($6.50 for a bottled Starbucks drink obscene). There is no room to move around. The entire operation seems geared toward fleecing Harvard kids who live in the Quad or go to HLS and don't want to walk to the CVS at the Square (advice: just walk to the CVS at the Square).
JASON FOX: The absolute best egg and cheese sandwich i have ever and will ever have!! On a toasted english muffin with perfectly melted white american cheese! Seriously soooo good and Mr. Montrose (as i like to call him) is always friendly and provides great service with a smile!
Jonathan Tidman: My flavor of delicatessen a lot of heart and soul in the menu choices. Fresh sandwiches top shelf goods all add up to a great place. Neighborhood market feel with a modern touch. El Caribe sandwich struck my cord.

Christine's Day Spa & Electrolysis: what do users think?
Sarah Lodato: I've seen a few different technicians here and they've all been great!
Katie Greeley: I have been a regular client of Christine's for years and they are consistently amazing! I've had many types of facials and massages and worked with several members of the staff. They've ALL been excellent. There is clearly a culture of learning and passion for the industry. The spa is meticulously clean and staff is friendly and professional. I highly recommend you visit Christine's Day Spa.
Rachael: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityThis is my second time returning to the spa I’ve come in twice for a prenatal massages with Jonathan. Highly recommend him for your massage needs so in tune with your body and such a relaxing experience
Sarah Witzig: I've been seeing Linda for electrolysis and have been very happy with the experience, 3 sessions down so far. She is super knowledgeable and expertly searches out hairs. It's great having someone with decades of experience working with you. I'm following up on a partially done electrolysis from the last state I lived in, so can't yet speak to results (but will update in the future). The office is also very clean, and takes covid-19 seriously with masks and limited contact with other clients. I love that they just charge your card on file rather than needing to ring you up every time. They use an app called Mindbody to schedule appointments, which I love. There's text reminders and the app keeps a nice calendar of all upcoming appointments. Of course you can also schedule over the phone.I'll be coming here a lot! Electrolysis can have a bit of "sticker shock" from the price, but (1) they are very competitively priced in this area (2) it is really life-long results you're paying for, so every session you do is a wax/shave you don't need in the future, and (3) you're paying for the experience and expertise of these providers. It is well worth every penny! The confidence that permanent hair removal has given me is really lovely. Of course no woman should feel she needs to remove her hair for BS societal expectations. Hair removal is intensely personal, and if you've made the choice to get it done, Christine's is your place to go.
Sydney Gatward: I am so happy my husband and I found Christine's!! The environment is clean, serene + the atmosphere is welcoming and perfect for relaxing. I have loved my experience there and have enjoyed facials and massages. Sarah is a wonderful and highly skilled massage therapist and given some of the best massages I have ever had. Cannot recommend highly enough.
TF & A Frog: I was so happy with my experience at Christine's. My facial was a dream. I learned so much about how and why I should take care of my skin. Meghan was wonderful! Thank you for a relaxing and informative experience. Next time I am in Newton, I will be back!
Brianne Hinchliffe: My husband and I first went to Christine's through a Spa Week special for 60 minute massages. We felt so good after the fact that we've gone back multiple times now always with amazing results! I usually see Jonathan and my husband loves Natalia! I've always wanted to try out other services here but have just never found the time to book. I hear nothing but praise from everyone who goes here for any service and will continue to book our favorite masseuses.
sebastian farias pizarro: Best spa in USA!
Marcia Pizarro: Best spa in the south shore area
Alexandra Abbott: I mean...how could you not love Christine's and everything she does? Definitely go to Christine for electrolysis and Nancy for facials - I've only had awesome experiences. They're absolutely the best in the area.
Dana Vuzman: Amazing service and wonderful team. Highly recommended.
Maddie D: Lauren is the best! I had a makeup application during the spa’s last promotion and it was natural and beautiful. Lauren also makes my non-existent blonde eyebrows appear out of thin air. And you will always feel like she’s got all the time in the world for you — even if your appointment is only a 15 minute service. Plus, she’s always so upbeat you can’t help but leave your appointment in a better mood!
Gene Kelly: Been going here for massage treatments for several years. They always make you feel taken care of and any treatment leaves me feeling less stress and more relaxed. I have had amazing results from massages from Jonathan and my wife's skin always looks glowing after having their glycolic facials combined with LED red light treatments. I will be back again, and again. Gaaaaaa!
Natalie Goodwin: For years I've been going to Christine's Day Spa for skin care and hair removal services and I've had an amazing experience every time. For the past year I have been seeing Brooke for all my services. She is talented, knowledgeable, caring, and results-oriented. I highly recommend Brooke and Christine's!

Fire and Ice Spa: what do users think?
Tim Balconi: Great place! Very nice facilities.
Winny Mathew: Best sauna in greater Boston area
Amelia Schwartzman: My friend and I booked a two hour sauna session and we had such a lovely time. Everything exceeded our expectations. As new moms it’s very hard for us to get out of our houses and have “me time” and I cannot think of a better we could have spent our afternoon. Everything was clean and cozy. The sauna room was private and the gas fireplace was a great touch. It did not feel like we were in Dedham but in a beautiful vacation cabin deep in the woods. I cannot wait to go back and try some of the other services they offer (such as reiki and reflexology) and will be recommending Fire + Ice Spa to my others friends so they too can enjoy some relaxation and self care.
Christina G.: Reply:No, this was not a personal attack on Brenda or the business Mike owns. It was an honest review of my experience with her while I was a client, which she clearly has difficulty accepting, but it's the truth. It's how reviews work. I have shared with her multiple times in person that I had clearance from a doctor to go to higher levels, but there was continued pushback. There was never once a request for a doctor's note, until I proactively decided to send it on my own thru e-mail, after she continued to be difficult. It's as though she assumed I was doing WBC carelessly, which couldn't be more untrue. Assuming needs to be replaced by listening and communicating. The fact is, when I told her I went to level 5 with Mike, her exact words were "You're crazy" with an incredulous and disapproving look. She was also nosy about my health. I chose to go to level 5 as a client who paid for the package and I'm glad I was able to experience that with Mike, who was awesome and a pleasure to interact with.It is clear that she is the one who needs to find the healing she seeks. Healing is so important for everyone in different ways. I feel joyful and grateful that my family and I are 100% healthy and happy. I feel fortunate that I have the luxury of a work/life balance and that I am always finding new and fun ways to nurture self-care, like spa days! I have found a new and amazing place. Thanks Universe :)Not just feelings, but FACTS.===My original plan to give 5 stars (because of the wonderful owner Mike) unfortunately turned into 1 star because of the other employee, Brenda. Please use caution with her. I tried a variety of options and purchased packages for sauna and WBC. I was excited for these self-care packages to help me feel better overall. I had some significant joint and muscle discomfort and I was recommended WBC as a complementary therapy. My sessions with Mike were most excellent. They have six levels. After trying level 1 without feeling much effect, I got permission from my doctor to go to level 5 and 6 to improve the results. I would not have chosen this on my own without the ok from professionals. From the start, Brenda called me "crazy" for wanting to go to higher levels and showed intense pushback, both verbally and thru facial expressions, even though it is safe and I had full clearance. I repeatedly told her in person this is okay for me, but she kept pushing back and made my self-care experience extremely awkward and uncomfortable. Just because she is not brave enough to go to higher levels herself, it is inappropriate and annoying for her to dissuade others from doing so. On a side note, even though I did not have any contraindications, I noticed not all contraindications are listed on their website. For my final session, she refused again, even though I told her so many times in person I have the clearance to do so. Did that not register? I even e-mailed her a copy of the clearance. This became increasingly frustrating and I asked for a partial refund on the session that I chose to not ultimately use.In addition, I had a reiki session with her. While this was mostly uneventful, I picked up a smoky smell from her. I cannot say for sure whether she's a smoker, as I have no idea, but I definitely smelled the smokiness, but didn't feel comfortable asking her directly at the time. I just waited for the session to be over and took a shower when I got home.I did enjoy my sauna sessions at this place, especially the music hook-up in the infrared sauna, although there is no hook-up in the dry sauna. Again, it was a wonderful pleasure to see Mike the many times I did. He is a lovely man, even though Brenda said he made an "error in judgment" in letting me try a higher-level WBC. That is bogus. Mike was incredibly professional and consulted with me with care before every session. I'm glad I tried the higher level with him.Keep up the great work, Mike. I wish you continued success, but I had to be honest in sharing my experience with Brenda when you were away on vacation. You are a kind gentleman.
Mary Anne: Just starting. The salon looks beautiful , clean and the staff is well informed and friendly. No problem with parking.
JakovPeace: First time ever using a sauna The front desk lady was very nice and guided me through the appointment. Amazing service. Def recommend to try once.
Jenya Kruglyansky: Just bring yourself, everything else is there for you and your pleasure. We enjoyed banya (see pictures 😃) and are looking forward to coming back! Идите в баню! 🤭
Simon Somov: If you miss Russian banya that is the right place.Regular steam room with big relax zone, dry sauna, and cryo smth.To my taste doesn't keep hot enough but it was easy to get steam if splashed on the rocks.
Joshua Soto: Great authentic banya. Aesthetically pleasing and the environment was just right.
Ruby Nicole: Great experience! Thank you Brenda! Excited for my next session
D H: Clean,
LA Harris: My happy place!!!
Anton Kozak: Amazing place for anyone who loves Russian Banya!!!
Travis Ruscio: Beautiful amenities and would definitely recommend it to someone. My only concern is privacy. My wife had another Patron walk in on her while she was in the sauna which was supposed to be private. She mentioned it to staff but they seemed did not seem concerned at all.
Konstantin Vvedenskii: Clean
Phil Reese: This place is amazing! Very affordable rates. Sauna is pristine and spacious, with a cold shower inside for cooling off. Private room to relax in and wind down. Will definitely be returning.
Tom Spring: Positive:Communication,ProfessionalismReally awesome place for getting the rest and relaxation we ALL NEED. Sauna is amazing... Added cold shower cooldown zone inside sauna = wow!
Roxanne Sholevar: Great
Megan Sorel: Great options for dry and wet sauna. The wet sauna has a cold shower inside and an attached room with a lot of amenities. And fit 13 people in the wet sauna
Marshall Alston: Was very different from any other type of spa experience I've had. I was very happy and well be going back.
David Romm: Positive:QualityI cycled between the hot sauna and the cold shower. Oh man, I couldn't believe there was a hot shower and cold stream right next to it. Of course I used both. Definitely woke me up and made me want more!!
