Arlington Bait & Tackle: what do users think?
Tom DelMedico: Been going here for 15+ years.
Daniel Tumbarello: Dan Tumbarello and freins trout photos
Greg Miller: nice service
Bob Conn: Great place for fishing items
Cicero Silva: The owner is super friendly and always gives you a good tips about fishing and lures.
Colby Weston: Great shop. They have a huge selection of fresh and salt water gear. Live bait too, eel, shiners and worms, all well priced.
destiny child: It's a great shop for the local favorites, namely trout and striper. The lure selection for largemouth bass leaves a bit to be desired, but it's not bad. The owner is an absolute GEM of a human being and always happy to share his knowledge.
Laurentiu Craciun: Great bait and tackle shop. You can find anything you need for your fishing. The owner is knowledgeable and helpful.
Leland Dudek: Rodney know the area, and what's hitting. Great location, friendly, and has everything you want for a great day on the water.
A Tenney: After confirming with me they would be open, they were closed when I showed up. Showing up on time is something that takes no effort and shows a complete lack of professionalism. It's disappointing when you want to support local and have to go elsewhere due to incompetence.
Tom Wilhelm: Helpful, old school fishing shop.I just wish he was more reliable. 3 different times this year, I've arrived and discovered he was closed during normal business hours, often for the entire weekend. Suggest you call ahead to make sure the store is open.
Debra Stone: The store sells junk my rod broke first time it was used owner took no responsibility and would not return
Shaun Hayward: Excellent service
T W: I was shocked at how well curated the selection of gear and lures was. I had been going to other stores, and 9 times out of 10 you get some nitwit teenager who has no idea what they are talking about. Rodney was at the counter, he spent almost an hour with me listening to where I fish and what I want to accomplish, and he knows his stuff. I learned a lot and cannot wait to go back after this weekend and share successes and failures. They have LOTS of saltwater tackle...probably the best stocked store around.
Jeffery Zou: Very friendly and super helpful shop keeper! Also a great selection of baits and tackles for a good price.
James Aird: I went to this shop with the intent of supporting a smaller business. The cashier was friendly and provided advice on which rod/reel combo to buy... and I went with his advice... shortly after, the reel started getting stiff, and then the actual rod broke (while casting!)
Michael Westcott: Excellent store.
Lily Brown: friendly, good selection, all around fantastic place to get your gear
Danny Kaiser: I have been fond of fishing for a long time and all my notable trophies are thanks to the tackle of this store. I am their regular customer and will stay with them. This store is the best!
Brent Rowley: Fishing enthusiasts will definitely appreciate this store. Excellent assortment, attentive and understanding staff. I am very pleased with my purchases, I look forward to checking them out :)
Mourad Zine: Highly recommended always having good answers for my question I like the place

P & J Bait Shop: what do users think?
Joel Figueroa: Worst place 2 go!!!!!!!!
erick roskos: Worst bait shop I’ve ever been to. I asked the lady behind the counter where to go surf fishing in the area. She said we don’t know. We don’t fish. She didn’t want to touch the bait and generally acted like she had something better to do than talk to a customer. I cannot recommend going to this place.
Drew Wang: I usually catch mine own bait but when ever I’m in a pinch I can always count on them to have what I need! As a salty angler I can usually count on them to have whatever I need from terminal tackle to rods and reels. The only down side is its cash only but there are like 4 ATMs down the street so it’s not the biggest deal in the world!
E Johnson: They don't like black people... didn't want to sell me anything
Maxwell Magalhaes: Great place, rods, real, bait, tackle and knowledge of the area.
Leonard Brown: Saltwater freshwater license go get them
Rob- -ert: Unprofessional owner and unprofessional daughter. Overpriced gear and tackle. You can get everything for less at Walmart and West Marine in Braintree. There's also another Vietnamese tackle store down the road just before the bridge into Quincy with an honest owner and sales person and fair prices that won't take advantage of you if you're new to fishing.
Jimmy: The owner is a very rude man. I asked him a question and he said I don’t know the law. Answered me like I was bothering him. Worst bait shop in Boston.
Karl Payne: Good selection, reasonable prices and helpful service. Only drawback is cash only transactions.
Francis Grenham: Really great shop. Organized and well staffed! The only drawback was that it is cash only. And, as a business owner I operate off of credit. Massive inconvenience.
Taylor Gulley: Such shops are to me like toy shops for my children. I bought myself a couple of baits for fishing, I will try and come for new ones :)
Dan King: Tony always seems to have what I need for my Fishing Excursions from Fresh Live bait to hooks and lures. He always has a Smile on his face and make going to P.& J. Bait Shop a great Experience🐸🤩🤩🤩
Michael Murray: Has just about everything you need to go fishing , nice guy, helpful, and pleasure to deal with.
Tim: A solid fishing tackle and bait shop surprisingly close to me. They have a much wider selection of saltwater tackle and lures, but they do offer a variety of essentials to keep a freshwater fisherman happy. I fish for panfish - mainly bluegill, crappie/calico bass and perch - with my 4yr old son and P & J Bait Shop doesn't disappoint with a wide assortment of floats, swivels, bait buckets and live bait. Everything is neat and organized, the quality of the worms they sell have never disappointed me and their live minnows are exceptional.Noticeably sparse, however, is their inventory of smaller offerings more suitable for panfish, such as small jigs, shad darts, twister tails and smaller freshwater lures. So maybe you're better off stocking up on those items at Bass Pro Shops or your nearby Walmart. Ditto if you're fishing for bass and looking for plugs, crankbaits, spinner baits, stick baits or Texas rigs. All in all, this is a great neighborhood place that once bailed me out a few months ago when I didn't have time to get to any of the larger establishments to stock up on supplies. Since then I've gotten to know the staff at P & J Bait Shop and I'm now a regular customer. They make me feel like they value my business.... and you can count on them not closing early when you need them the most!!! Prices are reasonable, too. This is an admittedly lengthy review but if you're still reading this then you owe it to yourself to give them a shot. I could easily have rated them an additional star (5/5) if for a better overall selection of artificial freshwater lures, but as a reliable source for general fishing needs this place nails it.
Jim robichau: Every bait shop within 20 miles is sold out of feathered sabikis.....P&J isn’t sold out of ANYTHING. The owner was friendly, knowledgeable, and funny. They were smart enough to load up before Covid destroyed the supply chain and really take care of customers......Go there!
Tom O'Connell: Best bait shop in Boston!
Randall J Henriquez: Worst customer service ever
Sean Wilson: Went in for the first time today and the young lady was very and I mean very knowledgeable... she hooked me up with everything I needed and the prices there can not be beat... I highly recommend this bait shop as it will be the only one I goto now
Angela Lou: I got set up with a new rod and all the basics today. Friendly, quick, and knowledgeable service. Cash only as of now.
David Alce: Awesome
Jared Hare: Very friendly and fair price

Hilton's Tent City: what do users think?
Luis Sandoval: Was there today to check their backpacks. One of them wasn't friendly at all which ultimately made me decide not to purchase the backpack I was hesitant to buy ($229 Topo Designs Travel bag 40l) On the good part, it made me look up the Facebook marketplace again and got something for $100. I mean thanks no thanks. Imagine losing $229 sale just because you couldn't have a friendly conversation haha.
Tyler Saxe: Always has what I need, effective longstanding outdoor supply.
Oscar Morales: Hilton's Tent City has great customer support and quick shipping service. I had a wrong item shipped to me and emailed them and with no hassle they shipped me the correct item in no time! I would buy again from them.
Lily Harris: Love this local gear shop, the staff were honest and friendly in helping me find what I needed :)
Sean S.: Oh how I miss Hilton Tent City when they were in Boston and provided good value for the money. Regardless of inflation the prices they charge for men’s winter costs are ridiculous! I’ll stick with LL Bean.
Audiobooks Fun for Kids Playing Learning English: best of the best of the best... old schol. on the old schol...............kind of cool on the renovation NORTH STATION store..!! awesome sale.. can not wait til the LOUNGE is open
Nick Leheny: They had a hard to find item I was looking for. I called to make sure they had it, and then bought it on their website. They shipped it out promptly and it arrived early in perfect condition.
Daniel Place: Great locally owned outdoors shop. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, and a pretty good selection considering the size of the store and the location in downtown Cambridge. They have just about everything you could need for an outdoor adventure: tents, backpacks, clothing, footwear, cookware, knives, and other outdoor gear you'd need at the campsite or on the trail. They have a great staff, and they'll certainly help make your next outdoor adventure a success!
Katie G: Stopped by for the first time to grab a random collection of items for a backpacking trip, was not disappointed!!! Great recommendations, great brands, and super convenient being in Central. Will definitely be coming back for all outdoor gear!
Kenneth Mui (K): Tent City is truly the best hidden jewel when it comes down to traveling/hiking, camping gear. It was a lot bigger back in Boston, but I’m so happy they decided to open their doors in Cambridge! I’ve bought countless jackets, tents, camping gear, backpacks, gloves and accessories for myself and my family. I’ve always found what I needed when gearing up for treks in the white mountains or vacationing in other countries. It’s truly your old mom and pop store with lots of knowledgeable sales associates. I love Tent City for its brands, products, value, selection and prefer it over REI, EMS, Bob Store..ect.
Jenna Sunshine: LOVE THIS PLACE! Tons of great gear for everything from hiking & camping to fishing and bird watching. They have a little bit of everything! Backpacks of all sizes for hiking or day-to-day, hiking boots, sandals & shoes, sleeping bags & sleeping pads, clothes, outerwear, tents, hammocks, water bottles, camelbacks & water bladders, binoculars, knives, stoves, and all the assorted technical gear you can think of. If you need anything for hiking, backpacking, camping, fishing, etc this is the place to go! Support a small, local independently-owned business instead of Amazon or a large chain store.
lian duan: Very enthusiastic merchants, very cheap prices, very pleasant shopping experience, will definitely come back again.
Alex Schab: Amazing store with great prices.
Erik Eklund: This place always has something you want. It's the best place to find high quality outdoor and camping gear.
Nathan Elchert: I placed an order for sale-priced cold-weather gear on their website, which qualified for free two-day shipping. A week later the package had not arrived. I emailed and received no response. I called and was told that my order had been automatically cancelled due to “a red flag.” (I had received no notification of the cancellation whatever.) I said I still wished to order the items and asked how to go about this. I was told to reorder the items in two orders rather than one, to reduce the total costs and avoid another red flag. I set about doing this but found that the sale pricing was no longer available on three of four items. I called to ask about the pricing and was told that the pricing I had received the first time was wrong due to a pricing glitch on their end, that they would not sell me the items at that price, and that they wouldn’t ship to me anyway, since packages are often stolen in my area. (I guess my area is NYC — they won’t ship to NYC?) This was a frustrating waste of time and I still don’t have the cold-weather gear I need for an upcoming trip.
Calvin Harjono: I don’t think I’ve ever written a Google review but felt a need to do so in this given the absolutely terrible experience at had in this shop. I should first mention that I’m a huge advocate for local businesses but in no way is it acceptable for customers to be yelled at and run out of your store for wanting to try on a jacket. That’s not a business, that’s a sham.I came in to browse around, as I had passed by many times and been attracted to the variety of backpacks. While there I saw they had a jacket I was interested in and I had asked if I could try it on (it apparently was not in the showroom). The gentlemen at the register, who I can only presume as the owner considering that his customer service was absolute in no way someone you would want to hire to run your shop, immediately gave me a keen look of suspicion. To which I tried to dispelled with “it’s okay if you don’t, I just want to try it on to see if it’s right for me.”He abruptly says “SO YOU WANT TO TRY IT ON AND BUY IT SOMEWHERE ELSE?!?” I was stunned. In this awkward position, I gave him the benefit of the doubt and said “it’s okay, don’t want to trouble you, don’t worry about.” I had thought he was joking, but he wasn’t. Moreover, he had the audacity to say “Yeah, I won’t worry about it.” I couldn’t help but feel so uncomfortable I hastily walked out.People looking to shop here, I can only advise that you take my experience for whatever it’s worth. I moved 3 blocks away from this store and had all the intentions of supporting a local business. I am mortified with the experience, perhaps he was having a bad day? I can only guess, but I hope for future customers he surely has less of them.
Michael Meyer: Not much selection and very limited inventory in site. Check their website before visiting site. Think small business not large business like REI or LL Bean. Sales people seem depressed and exhausted.
Greg S: Fantastic little store. A nice selection of knives, camping gear, and general active-people stuff.Staff seemed nice and made good recommendations when I asked about shoes. Prices are reasonable. I’ll definitely be going back.
Gani Ecoresort: Baik pelayanan nya. Barang banyak berbagai merek besar. Lengkap lah
Mr Shannon Joslin: Great store great service better than 4.5
A. F.: Wide selection of gear with budget level up to Arc’teryx. Love that they stock Mystery Ranch packs.
