Courtney Andree: I was thankful they got me in on short notice, after I got a flat on my drive out to Boston. I asked for a pair of new tires, they wrapped up their work, and I paid. Got out to my car and decided to take a quick lap around to make sure the goods were delivered and everything looked okay . . . interestingly enough, only one tire had been replaced. Buyer please beware. (On a positive note, they did install the second tire I'd paid for, after being called out.)

Maclise Jean: Had a 1-4pm appointment for oil change, check my brakes, and my battery. Drop the car off at 1pm. I went to Market basket and came back at 1:50. Saw the car inside at 1:50pm. From 1:50-3:20 nobody touched the car(I have been watching). Finally, I went up to one of the tech to get an update. He went and checked with the other tech who probably informed him that it would be another 30 minutes. So the car been sitting inside the shop for 2 hrs while it only takes them 30-40 minutes to do what I requested. Last time I waited 3 hrs for a freaking alignment. It shouldn't take no more than 2 hrs to do an oil change and some. Its just rdiculous...
Mike Smith: I needed new tires for my vehicle and an oil change, along with a few minor things like a rear wiper blade. I dealt with Rob, who I believe is the manager there. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the type of tires that would work best for my truck. My truck was done in a timely manner. He even took the time to try and buff out some scuff marks from a past fender bender.It was a very positive experience, and I will definitely be doing business again with this location! Rob and the team there are great!

Feroz Ali: Great place. They fixed a flat in my TESLA tire.I had a screw in the tire of my Tesla Model Y. I have the Pirelli tires with the acoustic foam in them. Another shop I visited said that I had to change the tire, but these folks fixed it for me in no time. And the car has been driving just great since.I highly recommend this place. And if you have a nail / screw in your Tesla tire, please don't waste your money on a new tire. These folks can fix it for you.

Samer Haidar: Just moved to Boston recently and did an extensive search on where to go to get all 4 of my tires changed. Found this place 20 mins away from my house but thought it would be worth it for the experience. I was so wrong.Terrible experience. In fact, it couldn't have been worse. After paying $1350 i get my car back and while driving i hear weird sounds from my tires. I immediately go back to them and tell them. 2 mechanics drive my car and admit that there's a sound but don't know what the sound is nor how to fix the problem while also admitting that the sound was not there when I dropped my car off. So we are aligned that whatever happened happened at their shop.They proceeded to tell me to take my car to the dealership to find out what the problem is. Am I supposed to waste more time & money to fix something they did? The worst part is they weren't even apologetic. Got an attitude and excuses the whole time. I requested to have my old tires back and wasted my whole day at this place.The manager Robert was not there but I will update this review in case I hear back from someone that actually cares about customer service. As of right now, i highly don't recommend this place and stay away from it. Go anywhere else, literally.
Sherry Wei: I don’t know how this place gets 4 stars review. Their attitude is just awful. I had a nail on my tire. I called a few times but nobody answered. I showed up and they told me that they didn’t have availability for the rest of the day. I made an appointment and came on the next day. I dropped my car at noon but they told me it’s will be ready at 6 PM. I don’t understand why it takes so long for simple tire change.Of course the guy called, they can not repair the tire because the nail is not in the center. They suggested me to replace all 4 tires and tried to push me to purchase insurance.

Christian S: Had a 9:00-12:00 appointment for the Care Check, Tune Up Consultation, tire rotation and wheel balancing. After dropping off my car, they call me at 11:35 to tell me my brake pads and brake fluid need to be replaced. I ask how long it will take. They say, "Not long." So I say, "Sure." Still waiting here three and a half hours later and they say it will be another half hour (supposedly). Outrageous and complete disrespect of my time. I would not be so upset if only they could have told me how long this was going to take. In no universe do I consider 4 hours to do my car's brakes, in addition to 3 hours for the original appointment, "Not long".Adding insult to injury, they left the steering wheel caked with grime (see photo). What a miserable waste of my Saturday.

JJ Fur: Schedule an appointment for an alignment at 8 AM. When I got to Goodyear, I was told “the alignment guy is not here today”. So I was left with either rescheduling or going to another shop. When I asked the guy at the counter why they couldn’t call me before I got there, he told me “we can’t call customers before 8”, which seemed like a pretty dumb answer. I left and went to the Malden location and they took great care of me. I would recommend to anyone who schedules service, that they call before their appointment to ensure the staff that can do certain services are present that day.

Alex Hill: I had a last minute need to replace severely worn down tires and brakes and the Goodyear team was incredibly responsive, thoughtful, and transparent about the process. The fear of any car transaction is not knowing what you might be getting yourself into, but the Goodyear team walked me through each detail, nuance, and line item to ensure I understood what need to be replaced, why it needed to be fixed, and how I could better maintain by car moving forward. AND unlike any other maintenance shop, they walked me through the warranty process, how I can ensure I’m covered moving forward, and they setup a follow-up appointment to help me take better care of my vehicle moving forward.Leadership starts at the top and clearly sets the tone for this Goodyear branch, the Store and Service manager run an unrivaled operation, customer obsessed operation, and there’s no doubt I’ll be a lifetime customer for the rest of my maintenance needs.

Furthermore, be careful when you go to other Goodyear stores, I believe bad corporate culture creates bad employees.Nick, the manager of this store, was very rude and impatient to me. I feel his EQ is definitely offline. I asked tire balance service there in front of Nick and the front desk representative. I didn't get what Nick said to me first time before that was a three parties conversation and I got distracted. I asked Nick to repeat the price again, he became mad and raise his voice volume dramatically as robotic speaker. I am not sure why Goodyear assigned Nick as a manager in this store. You are ruining your business. If a person only can do a mechanical job, don't let him go to the front of customers showing off his shocking interpersonal skills.

I went the first time to this location because it was the only one open when the locations closer to me were closed.I went, paid for them to fix my tires, and they were curtious, efficient and professional. I had other issues with my tires and car after my first visit, and each time they have done all they can to save me money and only charge me for what's necessary. It has been so refreshing to have a garage that I can trust and go to any time there is something wrong with my car that I can't fix myself. Love these guys, and am recommending them to anyone I can who's in the area.

Devyn Beaupre: They tried to charge me $900 for breaks and it was only my back breaks that needed the repair and they repaired only the FRONT. They tell you to specify what you want done and still do what they want. I took my car to a mechanic down the street afterwards and paid $600 less and the mechanic said I ONLY needed one break and rotor fixed, took him an hour to fix. It took good year 8 hours to get my front breaks done that didn't even need fixing. Point of the story, go to your local mechanic screw Good Year.

Gokyu Phoenix: 9:28am I just came from this place and the owner is the most disrespectful and forceful person. I don't feel comfortable giving out personal information and due to this. I couldn't simply buy a tire, I've purchased several tires from people in the past and never have I ever had to give my personal and private information to buy rubber. His excuse in case your car is blocking my workers I need a number to call you, my answer to this was ok I understand I'll stay with my car well so I don't feel comfortable giving that out. This guy then proceeds to talk to me any which kind of way. Funny part is that I was just in there politely waiting for him to finish a nice conversation with a delivery person, but as soon as he gets to me the entire attitude changed up. I'm not sure why the caucasian woman in front of me was able to see the nice side of this man and then turn to the black guy you just made wait then give me an attitude. Honestly unused to be the person to just react in the store but now I find posting honest reviews works better this place will never get my business nor will I ever refer anyone to this shop. I work around the corner from this place and in the future I'll have my car towed to any other place on earth then to go back to a place that can treat people this way.

Rubie Rakian: I was quoted $160 to have my tires alignment. After the work was done, I was charged $250. I would not recommend Kendal Advance Tire and Car Care Center. They are dishonest in their business practices with owner/owners who lack integrity. There are many places in the Boston area who will value you as a customer and honor the cost they quote you.

Rebekah Larsen: Two stars for convenience, but I think the prices here are much steeper than other mechanics in the Boston area. A $130 charge for a diagnostic--and in the end, they simply relayed to me the error codes that I had *already mentioned* when I made the appointment. (Also, there was no mention of the fee in the appointment call--only once I was dropping off my car.) Maybe I've been lucky with other mechanics, but I've never been charged that much for a simple diagnostic. We'll have to go somewhere else so we can afford the cost of the actual repair--the repair quote was also more expensive than expected.

The mechanic who completed the state inspection for my jeep also mounted my front license plate without any prompting at all.I'm sure it took very little time, but sir, if you're reading this, you have no idea how much you blessed me with a few extra moments.I have arthritis in both hands and reduced fine motor control in my fingers. I was dreading struggling through the installation and being sore afterward, so I left everything in the passenger seat to take care of later. When I realized he installed it for me, it made my day - perhaps my month! I wish I had noticed before I drove off so I could have thanked him.

I've been here for major routine service as well, never had a bad experience.Since I bought a replacement set of tires they do free rotations for life.Everyone's always polite, even when I lose track of the tire lock adapter and they have to wait a bit while I frantically dig it out of the trunk.

Lynn Reznick: If I could give negative stars I would. They used to provide great service but in the last 2 years, I have had problems with the service, in my opinion questionable tampering with my car as opined by my long-term mechanic at another repair shop , and not providing parts that they said they would. Additionally one time they told me to drive into Bay 1 and the floor was missing. I was within a foot of falling into the well. Additionally even with an appointment they run well over the estimated time. Finally, with the new building there is no wifi or cell service. This is a know issue and fixable if they care about customer service which it is apparent they don't.
mike smith: I brought them my truck in for an oil change on Feb. 7th 2018. It was snowing hard that day when I dropped it off. I picked it up and hour later and off I went. A few days later I was sitting in another car and noticed the rear lower quarter panel between the rear tire and truck cab looked awkward and proceeded to take a closer look. I laid on the ground and saw that the panel was folded up under the truck about 6". I went to the other side and saw the exact same damage in the exact same location and both sides had marks like someone had lifted it up on a lift and the damage didn't have any rust yet and it hadn't been on a lift for a long time except at Cambridge tire in Stoneham Ma. I immediately called and drove over to talk with the manager. They denied it over the phone and in person saying there guys would never do such a thing. The manager Mike told me to bring it back and they would put it up on a lift and take pictures. The manager Mike said it looks like recent damage and he confronted the tech saying it looks like a vehicle lift did do the damage but the tech denied it still. They did submit a claim with their insurance (self insured) and I received a call from the insurance devision and they apologized and excepted ownership of the damage. I took it to their preferred body shop who fixes all the damage they do to customers vehicles. I keep calling, looking to settle with zero cooperation. Its been two months with no resolve and they are just plain rude on the phone at this place. Mike, Al and Paul you communication skills and integrity need some improvements. I have let many of my fellow Church members right across the street form your store know all about your practices. See you in small claims court.

The shop is careless about damaging wheels, and will take fighting and a long time of screwing you around to get any semblance of a repair. My wheels were damaged Labor Day 2022, and they weren’t complete until February 2023, with no updates from the general or district manager for 4 months.

The staff at the American Legion Highway were very nice and professional and you actually get fresh Kurig coffee as your waiting to get your TOP TIER TIRE’S installed. Also, the MANAGER ROCKS and Goodyear chose the best when it comes to real fact’s seriously!

The front tire had a screw lodged in it and had a slow leak that I wanted to replace. At the same time, I had never replaced the tires on the car so I had a suspicion that the other three tires could be near their life end as well.Your service manager walked me through the options, and confirmed my suspicion that all the tires needed to be replaced. He also handled the oil change which was a huge bonus because I could kill two birds with one stone. He gave me the cost up front and was honest and accurate with the time it would take to complete the work.On top of all this, he was respectful and kind with his interactions with the rest of the staff. I know that may not seem like "customer service" but I believe customers really enjoy seeing a positive work environment.You clearly have an excellent staff at your shop. Kudos to you and everyone in the store.Good luck and happy holidays!

Sullivan Tire & Auto Service: what do users think?
Deb Daly: If I could give a zero star review I would. My family has been going to Sullivan tire for years, usually New Hampshire locations, so when I needed an oil change I opted for Sullivan in Somerville. The experience was terrible from start to finish, for a simple oil change. First, I scheduled an appointment, only to learn that Sullivan had overbooked for that day. Sullivan then rescheduled me for a day the shop was not open - resulting in 3 attempts to successfully get an appointment. Then, 2.5 hours in to getting my oil changed, the Sullivan team called to let me know that they had broken my dipstick and could not replace it - putting the broken part back in the car. Shortly after getting my oil changed I noticed oil leaking slowly out of my car and I planned to address it as soon as possible since I don't drive often. A few weeks later and after driving ~200 miles primarily on the highway, my check engine light came on, leading me to learn that my oil pan was cracked near the plug, and the plug itself was incredibly tight and stripped. There were no other scratches, dents, or abrasions - a different autoshop said it was most likely that the crack was caused by over-tightening the plug at my last oil change (completed by Sullivan). This autoshop also said this should have been caught at the beginning of an oil change if the crack were already present. Unfortunately I'll need to get the car repaired while out of state as its no longer drivable. I have been quoted $1200+ for the needed pair - needless to say this should not be result of a routine oil change.
Tim Standring: I’ve been going there for years but when I wanted to get an inspection done they said I had to be there at 8am or there was no chance of getting it done and I couldn’t leave my car there. Pretty rude about it too. I’ve never heard of a place, especially a major chain having such an unreasonable policy. I will never go there again or refer anyone there. To the proprietor, don’t bother contacting me, I will just block you.

A K: Have been going to the Sullivan Tire location in Bedford NH for +15 years and happy there. So when my girlfriend needed to get her brake pads replaced I told her to come to this place near her house. As dishonest as they come. The car has a sensor to tell you when your brake pads as getting thin. They charged 40$ to “diagnose” the problem. I told this to the guy checking me out and he said this is their policy. If that’s true it’s messed up and makes you wonder what else are they lying about. Did they even replace the rotors? Did they change the brake fluid? The worst mechanic is the one you can’t trust. Hope the $40 they padded my bill with was worth losing a customer and all my friends I’ll tell to stay away from this place.

Steven Rick: I first went in to Sullivan Tire in Somerville to diagnose and patch up a leak in my tire. That fix was super a positive and painless experience so I knew I’d be back again. Later came back needing new tires and the service team was super helpful with finding an option that fit my budget without skimping on quality. Fast work, great communication throughout, and affordable. They don’t upsell, if anything they find ways to cut you a deal. Definitely recommend this shop!
Alex LaFreniere: Couldn't have had a better experience here. I found a leak in my rear tire on Monday evening- unfortunately, a screw had punctured the tire. I saw that Sullivan's was close to my place so I went online and used their easy to navigate website to make a request for an appointment. Someone got back to me the same day to confirm the appointment for Tuesday. I brought the car in, the employees were polite and helpful, they patched the hole, and I had the car back within a couple of hours. Based on previous experiences with other garages I was mentally prepared for this to be a drawn out ordeal costing tons of money, but this was the exact opposite: Sullivan's was fast, no hassle, inexpensive, and straightforward.

Julie Zemke: I had the most spectacular customer service experience with the team at this Sullivan's Tire & Auto Shop.We called on a Saturday morning after our car hit a pothole on the drive to Boston and was handling strangely. They got us in quickly and the Sullivan's team quickly identified that 1) our car wasn't safe to drive and 2) our repairs would be beyond the scope of work they do. Kevin delivered this news to us with a kindness and understanding that I've found to be rare in the car repair sector! They also refused to accept payment for the diagnosis.While we were figuring out how to get our car to a place that could manage the repairs, the Sullivan's team let us keep our car in their parking lot, since it wasn't safe to drive. We kept in touch with them for a few days while working things out through insurance, and each time we spoke to Kevin and the team, we were just so blown away by how nice they were!I wish we lived in Boston so that we could give this Sullivan's Tire & Auto Service all of our business!
Justin Cuff: Absolute horrible service and rude customer service. There was zero communication that my car would not be serviced today. After taking time off work to have my front brakes replaced I am going to Muneer's Auto Repair in Revere, I had an amazing experience there and were able to fit me in without an appointment. Honestly was significantly cheaper too. DO NOT GO TO SULLIVAN TIRE IN SOMERVILLE a complete waste of time.
Viveka Akkison: I came in a few weeks ago on a Wednesday. I only remember it was Wednesday because the worker behind the desk told me he was usually by himself on Wednesdays. (His name was Michael something I forget the last name, Angelo I believe it was? I know it was close to the painters name if not exactly.) Anyway I digress, all I can say is what a life saver!! I came in totally expecting my car to be dropped off for days because it was having trouble starting and a tire needed repairing. Michael said at first he could make an appointment, I told him it was an emergency and I needed the car to pick up my son from the airport the next day. He got me in right on the spot, even offered me a free ride home and back with Lyft! (What a great feature from you guys) had my car ready same day and he even put a coupon in that I forgot to bring, so I came back with it the next day just to show him I wasn’t lying. 10/1000 experience! The technician was amazing as well, she was a deaf woman which was great to see a woman in the industry! I honestly can’t see why this store has negative reviews I mean are we talking about the same Somerville store here?
Sandy Adams: Terrible service, rude, and I will not be going back for services or buy new tires from them again. Made an online appointment for State Inspection, Oil changed, Tires rotated, balanced, and aligned. I purchased 4 new tires from them with Peace of Mind Package, 5000 miles ago. My wife brought the car in as scheduled and the guy said, they don't do State Inspections and that the website is wrong. He also said that he'll rotate the tires but since it is new, we don't need to have it balanced or aligned. He refused to do the work we signed up for and asked for. Even though we had an appointment, changing oil and rotating tires w/o alignment took 4 hours. Terrible service, rude, and I will not be going back for tire services or buy new tires from them again. Our experience might only relate to the Somerville location.

Somerville Sullivan: unexpected not heat fixed me up right away
Q T: I see on the reviews that it’s either mostly 5 stars or 1 star and some in between. I unfortunately had a 1 star experience. It was honestly surprising to me how dismissive the employees were of my experience since i have a very long-standing relationship with many Sullivan locations. Expecting me at 7:30am when nowhere on my confirmation does it say that I was expected at 7:30am. The service rep I spoke to who scheduled my morning drop off (separate from this location’s staff) even said he was surprised that happened because I was doing an all day drop off so “Why does the time even matter?” Even after all the effort I went through to get my car there without further damaging the engine (i waited about 40 minutes for a 1 mile tow). In my file, it is clear that the issue is urgent. So to push my appointment forward 5 days when I arrived before 8am is just… not good business. I ended up driving (when I shouldn’t have) to the Brookline location where they not only took me in with NO appointment but they delivered the exceptional service i expect from Sullivan. I will never visit the Somerville location again. Why would I? Do better, Somerville.
Tom Jaques: Great tire shop with even better service. Been for new tires and tire repair, always quick service and fair prices. Camberville is lucky to have them.
