Kevin Bernardez: This is my first time trying Highland Creole Cuisine and I could not be more upset with my experience. From the initial phone call, the employee taking orders hanged up the phone so quickly that I didn’t get to check if my order was correct. That was already a red flag. I think reviewing an order with a costumer would have been a more the precise way of ensuring the order is correct.When picking up the food, the chef decided to make his way to the front to add his opinion on an order that was incorrect. The lack professionalism is beyond outrageous. I most definitely will not recommend ordering here to anyone seeking some Haitian food.

Peter Hey (RV PLANET): Haitian food restaurant. When we went there they were working as a take out only restaurant. That’s why all the chairs on the tables (don’t know if it was because of the holidays), and that’s why the food in boxes. But they let us sit down inside. Food is delicious! Prices are a bit high, $30 for the main entrées, specially as a take out place.

J.C. Smith: My husband and I have ordered from them several times since moving to the area. We typically order the chicken in sauce for our young children. Over the past several months we noticed that each time we ordered the large portion we would be given 4 drumsticks. Then the past few times we were given 3 drumsticks. My husband finally inquired as to why they had stopped serving other parts of the chicken. The attendant said they in fact do have other parts available and went to the kitchen to make our order. However, I am disgusted because clearly this was part of a strategy—give unsuspecting customers the cheapest part of the chicken, then reduce the quantity for a large order, all while charging the same price. This restaurant is very successful, but clearly the owners are greedy and unethical. That alone make me never want to eat their food again.

Nick Rukavina: I can't get enough Caribbean / Creole food and Pikliz is top notch especially if you're looking for Hattian! This is the best Caribbean food I've had outside of Miami. The jerk sauce smothered over pork with a side of rice, beans, and mac n cheese is one of my favorite meals in Somerville. Can't recommend this place enough!

This was not fresh at all, possible frozen or old and rehearted. It was just something thi dry and tasteless to choke on. So if your big on plantains, this is not the spot. Marcio Horta: Most of the f my reviews are not good, even though I don’t like to write bad reviews. But when we receive a unprofessional service we are more inclined to share our disappointment. However, today I am not expressing my dissatisfaction with service or product. Today I am very pleased to inform to whoever it may concern that Pikliz has great food and great service. I am very happy with the great taste of my white rice and grilled chicken and okra sup. I loved it. I just forgot to ask for fried plantains to go with the chicken okra and rice. Nest time I am back there I will make sure I get them. 😋

Meryl Anima: This may be my first time writing a review. I thinking to drive to my regular Haitian restaurant for food which was about 15mins from the location I was I that time. So I decided to google if there might be another Caribbean food closer. This place was only 8mins, drove up there, read a few reviews and hoped for the best. I told the guy who served me I’ll be back if it’s good. All he said was you’ll definitely be back! Yep It’s my new favorite Caribbean restaurant, I’ll be going there often. Lol I had the Jerk chicken with rice and beans and I’ll just say the Jerk chicken tasted really good, even better than what I had when I went to Jamaica. I also tried the Haitian pie for the first time and that was really good too. Looking forward to trying the cuochicken soon.
A. W: Edit: Good! The other spot I usually go to has better quality meat and gives gravy on the side. Mac wasn’t great. Took a chance ordering from Uber Eats. It was my first time ordering from here and they ran out of some sides, but replaced it with exactly what I would want.

Lucas Melo: As a grubhub driver, I hate this restaurant. The food never gets ready on time and the guy is so rude.
GeGe LaLwa: I called to order breakfast for my mom and the guy who picked up the phone was extremely rude. I did not feel yelling over the phone was warranted. The guy was extremely frustrated, impatient and seemed over worked. I don’t think it’s nice to be treated like trash when I am spending my hard earned money supporting an establishment. The food is decent but customer service is key and Sunrise Cuisine needs training in handling customers.
Annie Boursiquot: The food is really good really it’s my main preference for Haitian food but it’s really hard ordering from them through GrubHub. For some reason they don’t have the option to order extra sauce and I always want extra sauce with my plate of food. I put specific details such as whether I want rice & beans or white rice and most of the time it’s ignored and they just put rice and beans, even if I request white rice. I don’t know why they don’t just update their item selections on GrubHub to fix that problem. Because there’s a lot of other items that are confusing especially with the pictures shown.

Liz C: Every time I call to place an order, then I arrive to pick it up they tell me that they gave it to someone else. They don’t ask for your name when you place an order so if someone else places the same order they just give it away. And sometimes they’ll run out of whatever I ordered so I end up leaving empty handed. They don’t even apologize. It’s very frustrating & unfair. The food is decent but the customer service sucks. I take good customer service very seriously & they seriously lack this. Not to mention I’ve been a customer of theirs for years & it never changes.

After being told: "No we don't have that" on at least 4 dishes.Today, I called in advance to know if I can dine-in, on the phone they said yes, got there, they said no. Since I ordered on the phone, got there, my meal was given to someone else, then was told what I ordered is no longer available, so I had to order something else. Still tasted great but could have had what I really wanted 30min earlier.

R C: I’ve traveled to Jamaica and I’ve tasted the best jerk ever! This doesn’t even come close. Food was low grade mediocre at best. Chicken tasted left over with too much sauce and onions. Definitely not Jamaican Jerk Chicken. Black rice was stale and flavorless. Couldn’t eat the meal only but a couple of bites. Only thing that was fresh was plantains. The $22 conch salad (or whatever that was)was drenched in oil and had enough onions to make 20 people’s eyes water. Very disappointed. Maybe take out and dining in experience is different but my food was horrendous!! Go to Lynn or Boston to get authentic Jerk chicken flavor. And to the mgr:” I see all of your responses to other patrons reviews and you don’t take responsibility for your terrible food”. Get a better cook or go into a different line of business.

I’m Haitian and the food was identical to my grandmothers cooking. I can tell the spices used are authentic. I had the red snapper, sospwa, macaroni and drinks. I was so full I could not finish because the portion was grand. I am very huge on quality experiences and the atmosphere, music and service made this one of the best experiences I’ve had dining out In Massachusetts. 10/10 would recommend. The tomatoes tasted bitter and mushy (rotten). Real Haitians won’t eat here. I took food home (about 3 plates) because I wanted to support my people.

Jessica Tay: The worst experience ever so me and my friend went to pick up a plate for 25 dollars and these people took 437 dollars off the card and when we asked for the money back they said no there’s nothing they can do so we waited til the owner came and he said he was going to give us a refund he asked my friend for her card she used for the refund and he charged the card again taking another 437 so that’s 874.dollars they stole and we never get any food we had to call the bank and report the charges these people are disgusting people and don’t speak English poor customer service and they got roaches and they need to clean that nasty fish tank

Loveh01 Lol: Je suis présentement à Boston. Je viens de découvrir un excellent restaurant où l’on peut manger des plats d’Haïti. La nourriture est super! Le plat de chèvre est délicieux et la viande est bien cuite. Je vous le recommande fortement. Les membres du personnel sont très attentifs aux commandes et ils sont chaleureux. Très bon rapport qualité vs prix. C’est très propre. Le propriétaire est génial. Si vous voulez bien manger, allez-y.

Ronald Labbe: I placed an order for white rice , legume and black beans (sauce pois noir) and also ordered a large griot with plantains. When I get home with the food everything was a disaster. They gave me white beans instead of black beans, and most of the griot was fat, despite I told them that I didn’t want any fat when I ordered the food.And the griot wasn’t cooked right because it was hard. I called them back to let them know that they gave me white beans instead of black beans, and the guy who answered the phone told me they didn’t have black beans; therefore, they give me white beans…..SMFH

Danaleigh Pina: I went there to order the $5 plates that they always advertise but never have and ended up paying about $12 total and waiting a good 40min. Before I left the cashier gave me an attitude because I told him I'd wait for the special but it seemed like he didn't even want me to do that so I brushed it off. When I received my food only one plate had chicken on it and it and my whole order was just messed up. I assumed it was him being spiteful but we don't like to assume over here so I just said w.e I didn't go back to fix it cause I just felt as if they were going to do something to my food. 0/10 I would not recommend..... take your money to a company that really deserves it.

She pushed the nice young lady aside so she could take my order. (Weird). No hi or greeting nothing, just staring. So, She had an attitude taking my order. When my food was ready She was scared when I was about to open the bag to check my food and proceeded to yell at me for checking my food so i just left. I get home to see she gave me the wrong order. Zina Johnson: Was cravings different taste so I decided to go for the Griot, (fried pork). Although I haven't had any in a while it's a very good dish. The only problem on this visit was, the plate was large and filled 3/4 full of rice with a scoop of salad. The meat (Griot) was in a separate small container and cooked too hard. Way too much rice and only enjoyed the few pieces of meat that was chewable.I might give them one more try before I give them my final judgement.
