Churchill Stables, LLC: what do users think?
Olivier Saint-Vincent: Best horse riding place in the Boston area !
Amanda Skinner: I love it there the horses are amazing and I love going there I hope to volunteer someday. the teachers are so nice and let me pick which horse I brush wash ride feed and clean their stables. I have been going there for 3 years now I tried other ones and I did not like them so I went back there and loved it
Rina Stark: If you are new to this place, do not leave deposits or at least don’t pay by check. They don’t refund when they cancel. They canceled horse back ridding camp and didn’t refund the deposit required at registration. $225 per child for new clients. They not only can’t be trusted and they also just won’t reply back to you. They basically cashed money without doing anything to earn it except writing that the deposit is not refundable on the registration form. This could be understood if a client doesn’t show up last minute but not if they are the one to cancel. Considering current events, one can be patient as difficult times but not when they don’t reply back and you learn that they are expanding. If for some reason you still want to register there I urge any new customer to pay by card, which they might not accept, as it is easier to contest should they cancel and you want your money back.

Sugar Ridge Farm: what do users think?
Kate Bosolango: Positive:QualityTook classes here and got so much better at riding!
Nina Irwin: I board my horse at Sugar Ridge Farm. He and I love it there. He gets great care and it is a second home for me. We learn dressage and have fun. Huge indoor and outdoor arenas and miles of trails.
Laura Talmud: If you want to learn to ride or board your horse, you can't beat Sugar Ridge Farm. The horses are so well cared for, happy and healthy. The facility is super, large indoor arena for year round riding, and a sand outdoor arena, plus access to miles of trails. It has a very friendly laid back atmosphere. There is a good balance of boarders and lesson horses. A unique facility so close to Boston.
Deidre Nestor: I have been riding at Sugar Ridge Farm for over a decade now. The horses receive superb care, and are known to be happy here, coming back from injuries or over-training in other disciplines and then thriving. If you are looking for a place that feels more like a family than a business, you’re in the right place. The instruction is excellent, pushing you and the horse to be the best team possible. Board and lessons are priced fairly for the area, and you get the most value for your money here, where the horse is always the priority. So bring your horse, or just come and learn- this is the best place to do it!
carin zuchero: Very welcoming you will learn more and have a true understanding the art of riding. This barn is mainly a adult barn but all ages are welcome. Come and visit
Andrew Myerson: My horse and I have been at Sugar Ridge Farm for a year and a half now. The care my horse gets is unbelievable. She and all the other horses exude good health and happiness. Carin takes the best care of them, and has a team of vet, farrier, etc. who are superb. As far as lessons go, my riding has improved so much since I have been there. The other folks who are there are also wonderful. It is a very caring and supportive environment. I enjoy every minute I am there whether I am riding, doing barn chores of just socializing.

Canton Equestrian Center: what do users think?
Jen Kola: Great place to ride close to Boston.
Lauren: 5 stars! been taking lessons for nearly 6 years and have leased 2 school horses here, and i love it! i am also a working student (lessons in exchange for helping, which is helping kids, cleaning, etc.) and it's definitely worth it. the Hughes family run the barn great, and Jen is a great trainer! i have been with her since 2016 and have never been disappointed. the facility is nice and the barn has a community atmosphere!
Kate Bosolango: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityLoved going on rides here when I first started learning.
Mary Beth Decker: My daughter took lessons here while attending nearby Curry College. She loved riding at CEC. The lesson horses are great, well cared for and offered a good variety for students with different riding abilities. The lesson tack was comfortable (unlike at many other lesson barns). Fellow students were friendly and supportive. Best of all, the trainer Debbie, is excellent! Her instructions are clear, and she understands the abilities and limits of her students, which makes for productive and safe lessons.
Jane Wood: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueThe people at the barn are so nice and helpful. They are professional, friendly and knowledgeable. They know what they are talking about too. The horses are nice and lovely. The horses love everyone and like to be loved too!
Together Forever: Positive:Professionalism,Value
Julia Livs: CEC is my favorite home away from home! The Hughes are wonderful and the instructors are beyond friendly and knowledgeable. Couldn't ask for a better place to ride!
Leah DeLorenzo: This barn is amazing. The facility is clean, safe, and spacious. The horses are cared for with the utmost respect and the trainers are top quality. I recommend this barn to every rider in the area.
kennedy sheehan: Amazing barn that models the upmost care and love for all of the horses in the facility. Highly recommend!
Julia Giaquinto: The Hughes Family is the best! Great atmosphere to board your horse!
Bri Thomas: Mary, Owen, Owen Jr., and Timmy are true professionals and have taken wonderful care of my horse this winter. I highly recommend the Hughes family and their beautiful facility with access to THE BEST trails around.
Susan Kelleher: My daughter is very shy and timid. She was handled very gently by the instructor from start to finish. Nice to see she was taught horsemanship from the stall to cross ties to lesson ring, and not just brought a tacked up horse to get onto. The grounds are clean, organized, and professional. A wonderful family barn that also offers 4H on site, and week long school vacation camps. A perfect place to involve your kids and family in equestrian sports. Very nice facility to board horses with the indoor ring, outdoor jumping ring, and miles of trails just across the street in the Blue Hills Reservation.
Monica Olszewski: It was VERY bad. My daughter has been riding for a long time now and all she did for an $80 private lesson was walk. She trotted 2 times and that's it! The riding instructor was very mean and taught everything about walking, trotting, forward seat again to her even though she told her she knew it! At the end of the lesson my daughter was going to put away the pony by herself (like at all the other barns she went to) and the instructor started screaming at her so she never got to. The stables were very dirty, no lights on when they are there when it's dark, spiders and all that yucky stuff and it's just the worst! When my daughter was taking off the tack from her pony she did everything correctly (I used to be horse trainor) and the instructor said she did everything wrong and had to SHOW her how to CORRECTLY do it. Then we were about to leave I asked how did she do and she said oh well she's good but she needs a lot more private one hour lessons until she can go on a group where at the other barn she could go on what ever kind of lesson she wanted to. The lessons are $80 so if she wanted her to go on 4 before group that would be $360! This place is a scam! Please don't go there.

Blazing Saddles Equestrian Center: what do users think?
Beckie Benson: It was indescribably wonderful
Capo Fodedor: Just a terrible first interaction,I called them to book a trip the lady explained the price and told me she had an opening at 4 pm,so I called her back 2 hours before to confirm that I’m coming at 4 ,she didn’t pick up or gave me a call back, and why would she tell me she had an opening at 4 if they close at 4?
Big D Cancer: Beautiful
Raymond hewitt: Love it
Kendra Webb: This place is a gem! Amy and Kelsey are such sweethearts! I haven’t ridden in 9 years and I had a trail ride here led by Kelsey, Charlie the horse took such good care of me! I would recommend this place to anyone looking to go for a trail ride! Definitely planning on coming back to go for another ride and possibly take some lessons! Thank you again, I had a wonderful time!
Marie Myrthil: 1st time, loved it. Definitely will be back.
Erica Davis-Varela: These people are probably one of the rudest people I have ever met. Would definitely not stop by ever again! The first time I had a bad experience and the the second time was just an eye opener. Both times my kids left crying. Save yourselves a trip and look for a more professional business. Plus I am also pretty concerned about the horse “care” they give these horses. Not much care at all…
Shelton Miller: Great place, great people, and of course, great horses!
Jane Wood: I went here about 6 months ago and I was extremely disappointed. It took them 30 minutes to get our horses , the horses were nice and loved the trail ride but it looked as if they do not treat their horses very kindly. The staff were extremely rude and they did not talk to you, give you advice, help, or even acknowledge that your there, etc. One of my friends went there for lessons and she says they were overpriced and the trainer was very rude. Extremely disappointing. Will not be going back.
Bella Canelli: Very nice people, amazing horses and beautiful facility
gi uzumakih: It's really nice there and nice people to but I did not ride the horses because i did not know I needed a appointment 😂
Rola Sam: Very nice and friendly staff
Lorraine Griffin: We took our 5 year old granddaughter. She loved I'd.
Connie Messina: Our granddaughter can't get enough of this place wants to be there everyday.
Benjamin Potel: Great ride in the forest, were very kind and helpful to my nervous but horse loving friend
taddy fofanah: Beautiful humans hello it's me again. So I went horseback riding today and the experience was just spectacular I recommend everyone to come take a ride over here. Great experience great workers great horse Abby was who I went on a ride with today. Thank you all for your hard work.
Taylor Avery: I went there with my boyfriend for his birthday. Very nice people. There were a lot of people there so we were waiting for about an hour...which I was not mad about but some people may be. I made an appointment there but they said I didn't. My boyfriend and I also signed a contract to have a helmet but we never got them. Once we finally got on the trail it was very nice. I would go again if it was my last choice but I would consider more places.
Alicia Marie: OVERPRICED PONY RIDE! I ride a lot and enjoy trying new places and new horses, this was a joke. I took my sister there, she hasn't been on a horse in ten years. To start, we waited over an hour to get on a horse, once we did we walked at a slow pace for an hour with two girls who knew basics if that, to be fair they were like 15. Not a biggie if u like that, but when I called I asked if we were able to trot, they said yes, only reason I went here. Then to top it off before we even are even five minutes in, my sisters horse barely wanted to walk, so they put a lead on and a pony ride is what she got. Instead of telling her how to make him move she clipped him up and lead the way. Couldn't speak to an adult after because there was non on the premises- 200$ joke and lesson learned
Aron Hotep: Great staff
Kim Pham: I booked a ride In advance for 5 kids this weekend for my daughter’s 9th birthday. I was told originally the trail would be 30 minutes long by the lady I spoke to on the phone, she said that it was enough for 5 kids and was told $50 per child. When we got there, they were running late. The lady there was super rude and there was little to no assistance for the kids when getting ready for the ride . I timed the trail ride and it was only 20 minutes. The lady insisted that it was 30 minutes but it wasn’t. I told the lady she looked upset and she said it was poor planning but I explained that I called ahead and spoke to the staff and all they asked was about their age which 8 and up they did not mention size such as height requirement. She said the kids were too small. Then she proceeded to talk about payment. I said Money was not the issue what the issue was is that the ride was cut short, the rudeness/unprofessionalism of the staff. I would not be coming back or recommending the place.
Katherine McRae: I was very excited to take my nephews here and we even bought apples and carrots to feed the horses- as the website said we could. About 10 mins into our arrival, my dad got rudely talked to by one lady demanding us not to feed the horses. When we asked why she had mentioned a lady fed them a lot of apples and carrots earlier. My nephews were so excited to feed them and I thought it was very unfair that we couldn’t feed them just because someone else over fed them. If anything, I feel like they should have put a limit on how much someone can feed them so others can have the opportunity as well. We were told we could see the horses in the barn they had but it was locked. I asked a worker how we could go in and she said we couldn’t. Very disappointing. Some of the young workers didn’t seem like they knew a lot of the answers to our simple questions. We will not be returning here.
