Compassionate Care Hospice, an Amedisys Company: what do users think?
Paul Rodhe: My brother Jim needed hospice care. The rehab facility he was in suggested Compassionate Care Hospice. Every person who we came into contact with was wonderful, from the executive director, social worker and chaplain to the nurses and home health workers. They helped make Jim's last weeks special.
Emily Durbin: My mom, Rosalind Lichtmann, recently passed away after receiving care from Compassionate Care for approximately 6 months. From the initial conversation explaining the support and care they provide to the very last comforting conversation moments before she passed, we knew mom was receiving great care provided by a true team of angels - Whitney, Kim, Josefa, Barbara, MaryAnn, Karen and Cathy. Each has a special gift of empathy and understanding to support not only the patient but the family as well. As a family, we never felt alone as mom took her final journey. Thank you all. God bless you!Emily Durbin
Chris Pires: We used Compassionate Care for my father who suffered from aphasia and dementia. We thought they were amazing and gave my Dad such wonderful care and allowed him to pass with grace and dignity. They helped us understand the process of death and helped prepare our father and ourselves for this journey. The nurses, Doctors, Chaplin, social workers , health aides were so supportive and were in contact with us everyday, for guidance, information and a shoulder to cry on. Our fathers death was truly a spiritual journey and it was a gift they gave to us to help our Dad pass in peace. We are so grateful to Compassionate Care Team, Kerry Galizio Pires

CareGroup Parmenter Home Care & Hospice, Inc.: what do users think?
Neal Blustein: CareGroup Parmenter is now part of BILH Home Care... much better since the merger of BI, Mount Auburn Hospital and Lahey as the team is much stronger.
Luz Solano: Great place!
Maggee Davis: Great place to workAnd they took excellent care of my son in law's mother.
Patricia Engebretson: I worked for parmenter in 1998 we gave the best care. But when my brother in law needed hospice last year i cant believe how bad the nurses were he was not in comfort it was a very bad experience i ever had seen happen bad nurses.
Susan Naimark: I had a wonderful experience with the direct service staff at Parmenter (nurse and social worker) when my husband was in home hospice. HOWEVER, I agree with another reviewer that the billing department is a nightmare! My husband was billed just before he passed away for a home visit from a doctor that never occurred. Our social worker acknowledged it was a billing error on their part. I left messages for several staff at Parmenter who never returned my calls. Months later, the hospital sent the bill to a collections agency. The last thing I needed to deal with after losing my life partner of 40 years.
Edit & Steve: Billing Nightmare, read on!! Parmenter Home Care was coordinated through my hospital for my hip replacement recovery. The nurses and PT were very nice and professional. However the Billing department was lazy and submitted insurance preapproval a day after my first service. This disqualified my insurance coverage. After appeal BCBS still took the hard line. Multiple calls to the department when unanswered and they refused to work withme resolve the issue. I am on the hook for FULL COST. Avoid this homecare!!
Marilyn Louis: Leaves much to be desired. Their billing department has been the worst I've ever dealt with. I do not recommend them. Good luck finding someone in their company to ask questions to... they never call back.

Care Dimensions Hospice House: what do users think?
C. N. Hawk: just no!!
Diane Rae: It's a beautiful and peaceful facility with a group of very caring people.
Erin “Egreer” Greer: Not a fan. The aide y’all sent didn’t even do her job. People never came to check on my mom unless I called first. My mom was made all these promises that they just couldn’t keep. It’s literally horrible how this place is ran you way better service in any other state. Don’t waste your money or time on this place.
Rafael Ray Reformado: Awesome service
Cindy Legault: My father was going downhill fast. I needed to find the best place for him to leave this earth. Many years ago, we had a friend pass at the Danvers location; I still had warm memories of how wonderful the place was. I was so relieved to find they had a new facility in Lincoln and the location was perfect for us. We consider ourselves fortunate to have dad placed here for his final days. The building is set on the shores of the reservoir we all see off Rte 128 in Waltham, so the sunrise is breathtaking from every room in the house. It is a log-style building with large private rooms, wide hallways and a large common area. It looks nothing like a medical facility which makes it all the more comforting. They encouraged us to treat it like it was our home, and we did, staying overnight to stay by dad's side on the recliner and pull out couch in his room. So, yes, it's a beautiful place, but it's the wonderful staff that makes it work. We had visits from the chaplain (non-denominational so all are included!), two different music therapists who played songs on a guitar and sang (hard to keep the tears back on these visits), the doctors (so caring and compassionate!), the nurses (Constantly by our side when we needed them!), the social workers and even the reception and business people were a pleasure. Oh, and the turkeys, I can't forget to mention them. There were wild turkeys roaming outside dad's room on the grounds that we fed to encourage them to come and visit dad. They liked our seed and we enjoyed their visits. I hear deer wander through on occasion as well. I also included a photo of their beautiful fish tank they have installed in a wall. Nice and calming!Dad wasn't there long but we wouldn't have wanted anything other than Care Dimensions for him. Dying is never easy, certainly for the person passing, but for us, who had to pick up the pieces afterward, Care Dimensions was a blessing and I will never regret for one second our decision to place him there. Thank you from my family for all you do.
Jennifer Moran: The Hospice House took incredible care of my father and our family. They answered all of our questions and concerns, and treated my dad with the highest level of care and compassion we could ever have imagined. The facility is absolutely beautiful; the doctors and nurses are incredible. The setting overlooking the reservoir and the patios are gorgeous. While hospice can seem like a very sad, daunting path, this place was the greatest gift we could have ever imagined for my father and our family in his final days. We cannot thank The Hospice House enough. They made the world of a difference. A special shout out to nurses: Chrissy, Eva, Tom, and Julie, aids: Rebecca and Nate, and Dr. Renaldi and Dr. Peterson.
debbie cassano: Top notch and beautiful facility in Lincoln, Massachusetts. You could not find a more perfect tranquil place for a loved ones final days. Exceptionally skilled, kind, compassionate staff and volunteers who help the patient and their families during this very difficult time.
Meghan Gardner: I am posting this as a volunteer for Care Dimensions (not an employee). Their training program is comprehensive and they offer a wide range of training (including Dementia and working with Veterans). They have a Patient Family Advisory Committee which meets every month which is a compilation of family members from former patients, staff, and volunteers. They present their statistics, marketing, and training materials for review and feedback. This level of transparency and willingness to be challenged is rare especially when it is not a requirement of the industry. I continue to be impressed by this organization both operationally and in their level of sincere compassion.
Lindsay Coull: If you need hospice care for your loved one, stop looking, Care Dimensions is WONDERFUL. We had my father home with them for the last 2 weeks of his life and it was (incredibly hard) but a beautiful experience overall and this was in no small part due to the care and endless support from the staff at Care Dimensions. Attentive nurses, loving chaplains, incredibly helpful social workers, I have not one bad thing to say about all of it, my dad was blessed to have been in their care ❤️
Mallard: Hospice house in Lincoln was truly an answer to a prayer. My husband was kept comfortable and pain-free and died, as he wished, surrounded by his family.
kenny parlee: Wow...fantastic experience
Rose Le: I can't tell you how grateful my husband and I are to the team at Care Dimensions located in Lincoln MA. My husband Tevin and I are so appreciative of Debbie, Diane, Michelle, Christina, Julia, Eartha, his wonderful nurses (we just want to give them all our hugs). To Dr. Wu and Dr. Taylor for treating Tevin's symptoms, it was a MIRACLE, his oncologist was pleasantly surprised! Thankful to Linda Lam, Marsha, Nate, and Femi... the nurse aides, their joyous personality lights up the room.Emily, Sharon our Chaplain there comforted us with empathy and compassion. Lisa, thank you for sharing with us your talents through music, singing a song you had to learn, PERFECT 3 you brought tears to our eyes. Marcia, Annette for your healing hands through massage and Reiki. Thank you Raul, for making sure our room gets clean every day. There are more people on the team, but we can't remember everyones name. The whole team at Care Dimensions Lincoln, we don't have enough words of thanks, we felt like we were given a second chance in two weeks to have more time, the symptoms were taken care of and stabilized, not only that but this was over Christmas and New Years, a time where people take off from work to be with their family, instead you guys were here for us. This was our Christmas gift from Care Dimensions. Thank you. We love you guys!
JR Ewing: Excellent facility all around. Beautiful, brand new building with state of the art equipment. All the staff members are very caring and compassionate. They take very good care of the patients and their families. My Father in Law is currently a patient here and we couldn’t be happier with the care he is receiving.

Neville Center: what do users think?
Arturo: One to 2 hours for someone to respond to pressing your help button. You don't get to order what you want to eat from their Cafe.Rehab workouts standard as anywhere else.Lazy workstaff due to payscale.
Cornell Bentley: The staff here really care about the patients, even more so than their own families. These employees sacrifice their time away from home working doubles, triples, etc. whatever they have to do so that the patients are cared for and provided with respect. They all deserve RAISES!!!!!!
Jim Andrews: They mistreat elderly patients.
Kayla Tracey: Very clean facility and friendly, attentive staff!!
caroline loiacono: The Neville center is by far one of the best nursing homes in the boston area! My grandmother has stayed at many facilities that were dirty, understaffed, and unsafe. We haven’t seen any of these issues the past few months she’s been at Neville. The rooms and common areas are kept clean, the staff are beyond friendly and care so much for the community members. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a safe, trustworthy facility for their loved ones.
Miguel Encarnacion: One of the nicest looking nursing homes I have ever seen. It is so modern and new not like the other nursing centers I toured. I would actually live here.
Lex Jacobs: This is a horrible place in my opinion. Please do not send any of your loved ones here. Tonight a woman was screaming for help and three nurses refused to listen to help her. This may be something the woman does but it does NOT give them the right to ignore her! I unfortunately had to say something to them so the poor woman could get some help. It’s scary to think your loved ones are being treated this way.
Edward Mcdermott: My mom was sent to Neville from MGH, she arrived with COVID and they were aware? they put her in a regular room (not COVID) TV didn't work, my mom has a bladder problem and can't get out of bed yet,so she pushed her nurse button and took a while, and finally a nurse or aid came in and after asking for help was YELLED AT! The next day mom was put in a COVID room, and again No TV (nobody had a remote??) I was on the next flight from Florida that night,so once again my mom needs help with going to the bathroom and slow response her diaper was full and half off, because of this she now has a UTI, I witnessed staff on cell phones a LOT, I called cooperate#978-372-4004Steve, and heard my concerns (I called the lead nurse and social worker at 9am,and finally at noonish Steve called me back with the lead nurse and social worker on 3way call and was assured that things would be better? They weren't, also food is under par, no toast for bkst or bread with dinner, some things on the meal ticket don't even arrive, also cold meatloaf?no potatoes on plate etc etc,I have not received any calls to see how things are,no empathy just drain the system for$$$$, My best visits were in the day (April)at front desk is a PURE ANGLE, SO please reconsider sending a Loved one to Neville I doubt this will even get posted, so find a better place,it says 5stars, I believe they monitor the negative post's,as it seems that there aren't any??
Leo: If you really do care about your family member do not bring them here, very dirty , feces on the floor in the rooms. Debris on the floor. These people DO NOT respond to rooms when you press the button. 80+ degree rooms, no air circulation. I really looks like a corrections facility. This is all first floor, I don't even want to imagine what the other floors look like.
Valerie Vancura: Wonderful facility and amazing staff!
Allen Whitaker: I was a Rehab. patient at Neville from late July to late August 2020 following Rotator Cuff Surgery. I've had CP since birth so I really needed to learn how to walk safely following the surgery. The staff were exceptional, compassionate and professional for my entire stay. My stay was during height of COVID during a very hot Summer. Although the staff had to wear full face and body coverings to prevent spread and I never got COVID, the staff were always kind patient and so helpful! I miss Marissa, Nichole and all the PT's, OT's, Nurses and Aides who helped me get better and taught me so many good ways of coping. I walk with walkers now, but I'm back home and safe thanks so much to Neville! Thank You all! Allen Whitaker.
Joan Aragones: On our second day visit the toilet was dirty. The room has not been cleaned so we cleaned it. They put a diaper on him which he did not need. The staff is not friendly and they don’t treat the elderly right.
Ivette garcia: This PLACE IS OPEN 24 Hours and No One Ever Answers
Thomas Litrenta: After surgery, I have been to the Neville Center on 3 occasions in the past 2 years. All stays were for moderate orthopedic issues. It is always difficult for a patient to remain in a rehab center for 24 hours a day. You are largely confined to your bed or chair all day. Believe me it is no fun!!The staff at Neville Center was very aware of this fact and they ALL went out of their way to make my stay as comfortable as possible. I have stayed sat 2 other rehab centers where the staff often became threatening and aggressive! The medical care at Neville is excellent. They may have saved my life. One of the nurses noticed that an infection developed after back surgery. They took a picture sent it to my surgeon who rushed me back to the operating room for more surgery. I was then released back to Neville where I was administered many days of IV treatment. The physical and occupational therapists were top quality and very caring. I was given 2 hours a day of PERSONALIZED physical therapy. At another institution I was given 1 hour of GROUP PT. Since there were 8 patients in a group that amounted to about 6 minutes of SIMPLE PT. That rehab center falsely advertised each patient got 3 hours of personal PT a day. Finally the patients at Neville are NOT ALARMED to their bed. They are free to use an assistive device to navigate especially in their room. This alarming of beds is a abusive practice. Studies have shown that fall rates and injuries are NOT reduced whenever bed alarms are used. Only patient comfort is severely compromised.Furthermore you can be sure that some staff member will be greatly offended if your alarm goes off. At a different facility one staff member threatened to tie me to the bed. I had waited 35 minutes for her to take me to the bathroom and finally had to get up on my own. I had no choice at that point. If you are choosing a rehab center ask them "DO YOU ALARM THE BEDS?" If the answer is yes, hang up immediately and choice another rehab location. It will save you a GREAT DEAL of unpleasantness. Don't believe when they say the ALARMS are for your benefit. They are totally for staff convenience and power.I think Neville Canter was an excellent choice for me and I would go there again for more rehab anytime.
muriel dyas: my stay here has been atrocious. No routine in medication distribution, most staff unengaging. little rehab time...food horrible and never get what you order. Never again
Pamela Dixon: This place is horrible along with the staff. The abuse and neglect my mother endure was unbelievable. I left several messages with directors regarding meetings, nothing. I hope no one else received abuse my mother went through with staff.
Margaret Demopoulos: This is a nursing home, not a rehab. Please don’t be misled like I was.
Maureen Celli: My family and I can not rave enough about the Neville Nursing Home in Cambridge. This is the 3rd nursing home our mother has been moved to and Neville is the BEST! Our mothers health has improved, her physical strength is better, her happiness, and the smiles, laughter and communication conveys joy. A big difference since she has been at Neville. As her children, we now enjoy visiting her because we see a new Mom. Thank you to the staff, the attention and the care. Neville Center delivers just what our mother needs.
Janet Ferreira: Worst care ever for someone that is there for pt. 15 minutes of pt daily? Try reaching someone to talk to for information, impossible! Try getting a nurse, impossible! Try getting a doctor never gonna happen. Do not have a loved one go there. Just today I have been trying to speak with someone, anyone since 3:00 someone did call me back at 3:56 but still no answers, she is the nursing director and can’t get thru to them? She did finally get thru to them and called me back at 4:45,which I’m grateful for, but I don’t understand why nobody picks up the phone there.
Kevin Bucelewicz: Great place! Friendly attentive staff! It's comforting to know my Mother is being taken care in such a clean, comfortable and compassionate environment! Thank you! Crystal is Amazing!!!
Laurie D'Errico: The staff at Neville was professional, knowledgeable and caring during my short term rehab stay, I would highly recommend the Neville Center at Fresh Pond
