Backpackers Hostel & Pub: what do users think?
George Weatherford: All stars are relative to expectations, no? This is a hostel, through and through. That said, the rooms are fine, bathroom great, the people working there were really friendly, and it was pretty easy to get into the city from Everett. I think I got lucky with "roommates," as well.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Ty the Real estate Guy Ent (Ty the Real Estate Guy): These drinks 🍹 are great 👍🏿 and tasty 😋 that will give you a nice buzz, with the lively vibe that the restaurants atmosphere gives you. Definitely a must goto while visiting Boston I’m rating zuma Boston with👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿 because things are a bit over priced but overall great experience.
C C: I will preface this review by saying that I stayed the weekend of the Boston Marathon and that may have affected my experience more positively or negatively compared to baseline.I've stayed in hostels all over the world and I will say this one was cleaner than probably 70% of them. Newly renovated bathrooms which were kept quite clean. Showers were plenty hot, sheets I received appeared clean, the mattresses were nothing special but I slept okay on them.Clientele was overall very polite, everyone else in my shared room was running the marathon the next day. On any other given weekend I couldn't speak to the caliber of folks staying, but I felt really safe and didn't have any serious concerns about my valuables/safety.Amenities I used: Small lockers in the shared room allow you to lock up valuables (bring your own lock). The luggage room is unlocked and not supervised but the hosts were very accommodating allowing me to leave my suitcase on the day of my departure so I didn't have to lug it around sightseeing all day. Not a ton else going on, the main lobby is nice for socializing. Breakfast in the morning is basic - toast with jam/peanut butter/butter and coffee which was a nice offering. I would highly recommend a short walk to Santanas plaza for an affordable (and plenty of options) breakfast menu with huge portions, consistently busy but did not have to wait long for a table or our food. Otherwise supplementing the toast and coffee with a bigger 2nd breakfast in the city (Mike's Pastry) is always a safe bet.Considerations that may or may not be a dealbreaker for some: Location - 10-12 minute walk from public transportation which will get you into the city in about 20 minutes. Not the worst and nothing they can do about that, but its a little out of the way. I would have some reservations making this walk alone in the dark. Pricing - $80/night for a shared room seemed a little steep to me based on the location, but demand may have been higher for the weekend I was there since Boston marathon was the next Monday and they seemed pretty full. That all said, we booked through hostel world and could have saved quite a lot in fees if we had booked direct with the front desk. Road noise: Our room was next to a very busy surface street (and a roundabout). It was hot in the room so having the window cracked helped with climate control but the road noise was definitely noticeable. I always use earplugs and an eye cover at a hostel which helped a lot. Some fun extras: the front desk workers give out t-shirts as part of your stay. Everyone I encountered was real friendly and willing to help out with any questions I had. They are aggressively nice about asking you to leave a review - I did it for you Ray!Overall I would definitely recommend to a friend wanting to stay here.
Abram Powelson: Place is a little dingy and funky but it has charm. The room (6 bed dorm) was very clean. The guy at the desk tried very hard to accommodate my height (I'm 7') which was nice. Some great food nearby.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5 …More

tej k: STEVE AT THE FRONT NEEDS TO LEAVE HIS TRASH UPBRINGING BEHIND. SHOUTING OBSCENITIES AT 3 AM IN THE MORNING AT A GUEST WHO IS PUTTING FOOD AT HIS FAMILY’S TABLE DOESNT HELP. MANAGEMENT NEEDS TO GIVE HIM A DRESSING DOWN!! MIND IT THIS GUY MAY LEAD THIS PLACE INTO LEGAL TROUBLES JUST BY HIS DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR! STEVE GET HELP FOR WHATEVER PERSONAL ISSUES YOU ARE FACING! I WAS KIND THIS TIME, NEXT TIME I WILL SHOW YOU YOUR PLACE!!
Alondra Avila: Comfy, clean, staff really nice. It’s no close to downtown but it’s next of different buss stops
Judith Castro: It turned out to be a great place. We just stayed for one night in the private room which had a new bathroom and kitchenette, both super clean. Friendly staff and complimentary t-shirt!I just wished the exterior and the common area would be more inviting.
stem route: Spent a weekend at Backpackers Hostel & Pub, & I was very impressed. Clean & Comfortable with Great staff, good location, best price. I will highly recommend this place. Look forward to going back upon my next visit to.Best Regards,Jim
Austin Arizala: While I'd like to give them 5 stars (some staff are EXTREMELY NICE, offered to give people free rides when the orange line was down), it's definitely not a place for everyone. Provides a nice contrast with another hostel offering near here. This is more what I'd expect from a hostel experience: noise, a little more rundown, a few pests. If you are traveling with minors or prefer accomodations on the more professional side, you should go elsewhere. Also of note: don't rely on their breakfast. They had coffee though, and I live off that
ömer koçyiğit: Hurby is an amazing old manRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
HKT: The owner/staff were really helpful and giving people lifts to the nearest operaing metro station as orange line was closed. The dorms are pretty standard for a hostel. Relaxed atmosphere and I met some really lovely international traveller's. Location isn't the best but it's easy enough to get about. Local amenities on the door step. Can get the train to salem about a 15 min walk away. I'd stay again.
jaime starfish: The hostel is in a quiet area that's close to public transportation and plenty of store in walking distance. Staff and guests are warm and welcoming. Friendly environment and it feels safe. Nice and clean.Rooms: Clean and plenty of charging spots. Private bathroom in each room.Nearby activities: Parks and stores all within walking distance.Safety: Kids play outside and seniors and woman can walk alone.Walkability: Close access to stores.Wi-fi: Wifi freeFood & drinks: Beverages and breakfast available. Community fridge in the lobby.

Bart Bial: SuperRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Felix Riether: VERY good location close to subways and train station. Room (had a private room) are spacious. As you would expect from a hostel there’s no room service or housekeeping during the stay. Pretty clean as well. Minus one star for still being pricey but adequate compared to a full service hotel.
Can AYAZ: We came for Boston Marathon and normally we did enjoyed everything. however i lost my heart rate monitor in kitchen when I realized is gone I checked in kitchen it wasn’t there so I did inform reception, if they should look camera record they might actually find it but they didn’t… I buyed new one 100 USD, After we checked out in hostel we have a Amazon delivery. so we came for our cargo for take it. There is old guy with white hair he is behaving did to us too rude, he didn’t listen to us, we were hurry we need to catch our flight we just try to explain but he never listen to us…
Jennifer Scott: I stayed here for Boston Marathon weekend and had a fantastic experience. I was in a 6 bed dorm with 5 other women (3 from out of the country, 2 from the States) who all happened to be running the marathon too. Everyone was very respectful of one another and all the guests in general seemed to do well with adhering to the quiet hours. I also felt very safe. The dorm room itself was clean and organized. The lockers within the room were very large and had plenty of space to store a suitcase, purse, large backpack, with extra room to spare. I really liked the fact there were individual bathrooms and large a dining area where guests could store and cook food. Location was amazing and a half mile or less to the Common. One mile to the convention center for the expo and other marathon events. The staff was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful. Highly recommend staying here.
Cindy Herrera: This is a long overdue review but I am so grateful to the staff at this hostel! I left my AirPods on my bed and they sent them back to me via UPS. It was also a great experience in general.A nice, affordable option to visit Boston.
Kelli Dougal: Location is awesome--very close to T station. The facility itself was pretty nice as well. I'm taking off a couple stars for 2 reasons, though. 1) Unhelpful, unfriendly staff. The staff came off as very cold and unfriendly every time I interacted with them. This is not only the front desk staff but also the kitchen breakfast staff. When I checked in, they were unenthusiastic to help me and the few times I brought questions to the front desk staff they also appeared uninterested in providing helpful responses. 2) Issues with storing belongings in lockers. On the day I checked out, I asked about luggage storage for a few hours before my flight. They told me there were self-serve lockers in the back for $3. I paid for a locker, locked it, took my receipt and left. When I came back later I was surprised to find that my locker was wide open! Luckily, I had not left behind anything of much value, but I was still pretty shocked and unimpressed. If I'm going to pay for a locker I would hope it would at least stay locked. So, although the facilities and location were fine, overall I was less than impressed.
Art Blackburn: It's just OK. The lighting is dim and the hallways are kind of eerie. Most rooms are quads, for 6 or 8. Rooms are very "hard" looking with little fabric to soften the look. I find the guests to be on the snotty side when they really have no reason to be. Management/check in is cold and stand offish. Breakfasts are mostly carbs. It's an OK but nothing exciting. In an expensive city like Boston, you get what you pay for.
Josiah Devine Johnson: Great lobby area and solid kitchen and community space.Walkability: Near enough to the red-line which is an easy route to Harvard.Location: 3/5Hotel highlights Romantic, Quiet …More
Nat Smith: Best hostel I’ve ever stayed in!
MARI LANGNAU: Basically, the hostel is ok. The location is excellent. The breakfast is extremely simple but ok. What is unfortunately not so good are the temperatures in the common areas. At the pool table on the 2nd floor the thermostat was set to 81 degrees Fahrenheit - was almost unbearable. We were not helped even after multiple requests. The front desk staff was very rude and didn't really listen to what was bothering us either. The only thing he repeated several times was that they could help if there was a complaint with the room - how moronic. We had also spoken to other guests who all had the same feeling as us. Then the next evening the temperature was suddenly set at 76 Fahrenheit. What's also annoying is that the walls are extremely bright and the room doors slam incredibly loudly. All in all, I would not go back to this hostel, especially since the price is extremely high for a hostel.
Craig McCarthy: A great hostel. Plenty of activities available!Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Katie Thayer: Clean hostel with nice staff. Room was HOT but they turned it down when we asked.
Federico David Ceccarelli: Hi hostels are always incredible! The best option ever. Clean and comfy

Irving House at Harvard: what do users think?
Kanchana Sukumar: Decent sized room but we had to climb a steep and narrow staircase to reach our room on the 3 rd floor. Luckily we didn't have much luggage to haul up , which would have been impossible to climb with. But the breakfast spread was good . On the expensive side but was in a good location.. We only stayed a night.
Andrew Sheng: A great play to stay for solo travelers visiting Harvard - the location is right next to Harvard Square, there always seem to be interesting travelers at breakfast, and the service is great!Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet …More
Saeid Aman: What a beautiful place and people, I felt like home in my first visit of Cambridge/Boston. Close to everything. It’s an old building so definitely there are gonna be some sounds from walking and clothing doors but I felt everyone was trying to keep the atmosphere calm with less noises like a family. Even shared bathrooms were so clean, breakfast fresh and nice. Last but not least is their fair price for nights in compare to others.Thank you Irving House for your hospitality.
Local Resident: Look past all the negative reviews here who expect a brand new Marriott. This is a charming and (very) old B&B that has served the Harvard community for 100+ years. The place is close to everything on campus, a few mins to a T stop, very friendly and professional people, clean rooms, parking and a great breakfast. We have been regulars here for many years and strongly recommend.

Allie: Nearby activities: Very close to harvard sq that has lots of stores and good restaurantsWalkability: Easy to walk to harvard sq and campus. And maybe even Central sq (MIT) if you want a longer walk
Deep Chatterjee: I stayed at Irving house 5 years back when visiting MIT, and I really liked it, so I came back when I was visiting MIT again. I took a single room with shared bath. The room is perfect for a single person. It's compact yet efficient. The bed was also very comfortable. It's perfect for a short stay, if you are out for work on campus mostly. I always found the bathrooms available. It's a little bit of a walk to MIT campus, but I enjoyed it. I remembered the breakfast being great, and it still is. Overall, great value for price for a short working stay.Another update: stayed third time here and still as good as before. The breakfast I felt is better.
Kevin klingler: Room was slightly bigger than a shoebox. Air conditioning barely functioned in our room. We tried opening the window, but the ac condenser for the building was right under the window...pumping hot air right into our open window. Front desk wasn't helpful.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 2/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Sabrina Nugent: Cute, clean B&B. Cold, good tasting water plus tea and coffee available all day. There’s even a porch in the front where you can hang out at any time of the day. Thirteen minutes from the closest T stop. In a very quiet part of Cambridge.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5 …More
A H: Beautiful homely hotel. Shared bathrooms and small rooms, but it feels quite cozy. Breakfast is provided.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Michelle M: We had a great stay in a private queen room (w/ private bathroom). The breakfast was incredible each morning. The rooms are a little warm, but staff accommodated me by not only turning the thermostat slightly cooler, but also by providing me with a small fan, making it the perfect temp in the room. We didn't use the laundry facilities, but they are available and coin operated. There is an ice machine and a water filter in the basement, as well as multiple shared refrigerators. It would have been great to have a fridge in the room, but we weren't too inconvenienced by having to share. Coffee available even in the afternoon, and it's decent coffee! Thanks for the stay. We'll come again.
Praveen Vavilala: Loved the experience. Comfortable rooms and a nice breakfast. The only thing I would improve on is the wifi connectivity, it was spotty on the fourth floor
Kilian Klösel: Very good location close to Harvard square. Clean rooms, some with their own bathroom, very good breakfast and always free coffee and fruits at the lobby. Also free Wi-Fi and a 24/7 reception which is quite helpful

A Cambridge House Inn At Porter: what do users think?
Kristian Soholm: Our room - mattress especially - had not been updated in 25+ years, with a tiny 15" flat screen for entertainment and only one night stand. About as uncomfortable as a bed can get. Desk clerk was curt and seemed tired of the whole thing. Christmas decorations were still up in mid-March . . .Rooms: 2/5|Service: 2/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Rafa O: Muy buena experiencia.
Joey: Reconsider staying here if you plan to work, study, or sleep. The Wi-Fi was spotty at best, and there was an incessant tapping that turned into an aggressive knocking between 3 and 4 am. The location is literally the only good thing I experienced at this place.Rooms: 2/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 4/5 …More
John Smith: I was disappointed by the lack of empathy demonstrated by the staff at this hotel. When I suffered property damage during my stay, I noted it with the hotel owner, and instead of any empathy or help in the trying time, I was instead told that I was trying to make a fraudulent claim and that they wouldn't do anything to help. And instead of prioritizing customer experience for other guests, they invited me that if I cared so much, I should go annoy all the other guests by telling them about my problem one by one by knocking on their door rather than sending an e-mail or something else that isn't going to annoy everyone.I had already expressed empathy to them previously when, due to weather circumstances, I had to shorten my stay, and they had claimed it was not possible for them to refund me for the days I was unable to make it to the hotel. I understood that it was not their fault, and did not try to make their life difficult. I wish that they would have afforded me this same courtesy.

Ryan Johanson: Very clean and cozy BnB. Davis Square and the Davis red line station are just 5 mins walking from the hotel. Lots of fun shops and restaurants in both Porter and Davis. Great value as well. Visited Cambridge a few months prior to this stay, made the mistake of getting an overpriced AirBnb, never ever again. A Cambridge House is now my go to place to stay when visiting Boston, 100%.

Oliver Janssen: I forgot my key at the office one night. When returning to the hotel I called the service number on the door, but no one answered. Somehow their system wasn’t accepting calls from my international number. I kept trying to reach someone for an hour but ended up having to look for another hotel to spend the night. In the end they refunded me half the price of 1 night. The whole thing cost me $100. I’m never coming here again and strongly recommend you to consider another option as well.
Jesse Dunn: Nice place, friendly staffRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
M L: Shame on the proprietors. Avoid this place!... unless you like running the risk of reserving a room as pictured on the website, then being led to a filthy, broken-down flophouse of a space in another building down the street. Absolutely disgraceful. And if that happens, don't be surprised if they charge you -- even if you walk out because of their bad faith business practices. They didn't even consider making it up to us, much less attempting to do so! I wouldn't know how nice a stay would be if they give you a proper room. Tragically bad way to do business.
The rooms are very dirty and run down. The structure is not cared for and is not maintained. If we also consider the very high price, I strongly advise against it.
Miro Gavin: Not for germaphobes. The covid precautions seem okay, but disinfected and sterile dirt on the sheets is still dirt on the sheets. Also, they had MOLD GROWING on the air conditioner. It's cold so it accumulates water, grows mold, and then because it grows on the air conditioner, the conditioner blows the mold spores everywhere. So disgusting, but I haven't gotten sick yet.

Peter: OMG what a nightmare! We booked the room 6 months in advance based on the nice Victorian room pics on website. Then when we checked in, he put us in the house next door with super small rooms, used garage sale furniture, old 20” tv (non smart tv) and nothing like the photos advertised! I went back to hallway and caught him walking in and told him this is unacceptable because we booked the Victorian rooms. He said others paid more for rooms so they got the Victorian rooms. I told him this is a bait and switch and he stormed off while I was still talking to him. Then we pulled covers back to check the sheets and there was a black hair on pillow case and a stain on sheet. My wife called on phone and asked if they could change the sheets? He yelled at her “you don’t like, you can leave right now!”… I started looking around for hidden cameras thinking surely we must be getting punked for a new reality show on Air BnB’s! It was like the soup guy in the Seinfeld TV series! This all happened in first 10 minutes of arriving. We checked hotels in area and all were booked so had stay here. But wait it gets better, upon leaving room to check out, the lock broke on door and we were literally locked inside our room and had to wait until someone could open door with key from outside! I won’t even mention the towels from Dollar store or the dirty trash cans never emptied outside on porches etc.. Also they advertise as Bed & Breakfast but they Do Not serve breakfast. They don’t even have fruit or water or anything like that. You’ve been warned!!!

LJ: We were just sightseeing, but it was a pretty worthwhile trip
Luke Rembold: I had a great time at the Boston Boat Hostel! Employees were helpful and friendly. However, be very aware (unlike some groups when I was there) this is a working ship, NOT luxury accommodations on a cruise ship. Rooms are tiny, with bunks and room for one person to stand at a time. In the summer, the heat can be brutal (no AC). Book this hostel for a unique experience sitting on the deck of a boat watching the sunset, not as an alternative to the standard hostel options.

sergejs kruks: A terrible place. It was extremely cold in the room, no heating, no extra blanket. And even no hot water in the shower.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Georg Fischer: Stay away if possible. Noisy, low standard, overpriced.
Arian Gutierrez Wartenweiler: Disappointed about this stay. Very loudly street, not clean, without light and power...Walkability: restaurants
Wayne: BEWARE of this host, listing. We checked in and found our room looked a little different than the pictures online. We didn’t mind as we just wanted a small clean space to stay for a few days. We went to take a nap only to find the sheets were dirty underneath the top sheet. The sheets were stained with light red streaks. There was also dirt, hair underneath the top sheet. The bathroom smelled like raw sewage, there were hairs left all over the inside of the shower after the cleaners had finished. We left immediately and booked another place. We communicated our concerns to Airbnb as there was not much for the host to do to remedy the situation. After speaking with Airbnb we contacted the host for a refund. The host refused to do anything for us, communication was terrible and short. We showed the host pictures of the bed under the top sheet and our concerts were dismissed . They sent us a picture of the bed previous to our stay which looked clean. That’s the only evidence they had the bed was not dirty underneath the top sheet and refused to discuss the issue any further. Our concerns about the bathroom where ignored. Instead of trying to make it right they gave us the runaround. It’s clear the host is not in the Airbnb game for return customers.Common sense for most says there had to be a very compelling reason for us to risk losing all of the money we used to book this room by leaving upon arrival and booking elsewhere. You would think the host would be compassionate as they don’t exist without their customers but they were just the opposite. This is the first bad Airbnb experience I’ve had.
Anna Wethal Olsen: Noisy, small, difficult to contact the staff, was woken up super early twice by the firealarm (and the guests had to call the firedepartment to get them to come bc Thatch didnt respond!), the kitchen lacks a lot of appliances (like choppingboards, bowls and knives), and the AC is super loud.Only nice thing is location, however the neighbourhood is supernoisy.
Larry Lebanidze: For almost $400, it is a horrible room , terrible dirty smelly , I don’t recommend to anyone to stay at room 101 ! Keep out !No water, no coffee !
Jeff: When my fiance booked our stay originally, apparently there was a problem with communication, the info for our payment got mixed up, we had a major problem trying to contact people in charge and it was a huge inconvenience to have to keep calling and bugging someone to get the info we needed to gain access to the building itself and then our room. It took us 45 minutes to get the info we needed from the time we got there, that's not acceptable. Definitely don't expect much but the bare essentials with this place. We were thankful to have a roof over our heads for the couple days we were there, but did not like having to share the bathroom and kitchen. Not easy to fit a ton of food and drinks by different people in a TINY fridge freezer. View was ok, bed was actually comfortable and ac did work great. We were in an ok spot was fairly easy to get around the city. But next time we will stay in a real hotel where there is someone in person that runs things to great us personally, sometimes those things matter.
glenn fernandes: We rented from Thatch last year for 2 months. Will found a property that had just been recently renovated. It was spotless and came exactly how it was advertised. The place was professionally furnished with all that we needed. It was only a few minutes bike ride from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. We would highly recommend using Thatch for your housing needs in Boston. We unfortunately could not rent again this summer due to COVID 19, but will be back next summer.
Mohammad Afikuzzaman: Very noise place. Too small room, No air circulation.
Patricia M. Alexandre: I loved it here! It was a great stay. Very well priced too. The facility is very clean. I didn’t run into others much, we all kept to ourselves. The bathrooms are clean. The beds are comfortable. The televisions connect to Netflix & Hulu, they’re smart TVs, so that’s a plus! There’s a small closet if you need to hang anything. A little desk. I stayed in a room with bunk beds, so if you’re traveling with a friend there’s rooms with bunk beds! We switched rooms the last night because there was a slight mixup with our reservation but I say this because I want to address they clean the sheets! As we were switching rooms a cleaning service came in and switched the sheets to fresh ones, taking away the used ones to clean. There is no maid, this is an outside service they use to come in. This isn’t like a hotel where you check in, you’re given the passcode to enter the building, then you have your own personal passcode for your room. So you don’t have to worry about anything getting stolen, only you know the passcode, and the passcode isn’t changed until your checkout time. My friend and I tested to see if we could still get into our old room haha so trust me I know for a fact the passcodes are changed once your checkout time hits. Don’t worry about theft! I know that’s a fear staying in a hostel. This was lovely place. It didn’t feel like it wasn’t a hotel, it was more a causal style hotel. And at least they’re clean which is always a concern when staying anywhere. They keep the place in very good condition. The kitchen was a useful amenity! You can store anything in the fridge or cupboards. I didn’t have any problem with someone taking what wasn’t there’s during my four day stay. Of course that isn’t guaranteed, but while I was there everyone was respectful and courteous. They have pots and pans to cook. I went out to the supermarket my first night to some food, drinks, snacks. I don’t remember eating out much to be honest. But I was (and still am) a broke college student so a choice of meals was ramen. The fridge isn’t that big and you’re sharing it with others, so don’t go crazy in what you buy. I’d say really use it to keep your drinks cold. Maybe deli meat for sandwiches? Oh there’s a toaster. Coffee maker. Oven. Microwave. The laundry machine and dryer came in handy. You have to pay, same as a laundromat, quarters. I stayed up on the third floor, the last, the steps weren’t a hassle, even when drunk haha. There’s a bar conveniently across the street! I didn’t get to check it out as my friend was underage at the time, but it seemed nice! I remember walking to the subway, it didn’t seem far. There’s a strip of stores nearby, little stores, practically across the street basically. On the corner there’s a Dunkin‘ Donuts! That was our go to spot for breakfast. The aquarium isn’t too far, I remember a relatively cheap Uber ride to get there. Same with the transit center a cheap Uber ride to get from there to the building and same when returning home. Our neighbor guests told us there was a nice trail nearby! Unfortunately I visited for Spring Break during that major snowstorm in 2017. I know, I know, Boston for Spring Break? Despite the snowstorm keeping me inside for the entire day I enjoyed myself! I went out in the storm, braving the hail that I was pelted with, and went to the stores nearby then came back to relax the rest of the day throughout the snowstorm. If you plan to visit Boston or stay in Boston, I suggest staying here! Even after all these years I remember this place. Dot Street in Boston. I hope to go back one day! If I ever do go back to Boston, even if I have hotel money haha, I’ll probably choose to stay here again.
Sussanna H: AwfulThe noise from the street was horrendous and the walls are paper thin. The room next to us were playing loud music and talking until 8 am every morning. We had ear plugs but they were no use. There is no one in the building to go to about any issues. The room was so hot and tiny and the air conditioning wasn’t working properly. The only good thing about this place is the location. We ended up leaving two days earlier than we were supposed to as we couldn’t stick staying there.
You won’t be have your own bathroom
Sarinthree “SandyME” Udchachone: This place is as good as 3 stars hotels, when you don't need any uncertainty service. No staff waiting for check-in / out, just simply get it done online. You only need to keep tracking on email and text messages. Neat and Clean!
Sophia Davidson: this place was exactly what we needed. it is clean, spacious, the beds are super comfortable and they give you what feels like endless pillows. everything was so easy and convenient to stay here, the lock systems work perfectly, I always felt safe, and getting to the harbor area was simple. I like it so much I added an extra couple of days with no drama. Cannot recommend enough!
E Pol: Clean rooms, neat, no towels or soap required to take with. A warm shower however was only after turning the handle up high (consuming lot of water). Bathrooms come per 2/3 rooms. No breakfast but DD and 7/11 are at the corner and bus connection is easy.

Thatch Quarters™ on Broadway: what do users think?
Jeronimo Rodriguez: ExcellentNearby activities: Convention CenterSafety: OkWalkability: I enoyed
Chauncey Spears: Rooms are pretty bare bones but clean and comfy. Fantastic location close to restaurants, the T, and bike rental!Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Su Tri: Terrible rooms. Heater abruptly turned on high at 4 am every night of my stay. Hallways smell bad. Noisy at night with thin walls. Worst booking of my life.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 3/5 …More
Shima Zargar: I stayed there for three nights and froze through all three of them. It was super cold. The rooms don’t have separate heating systems. It works through a central system and runs cold. Thank goodness I had a heating pad that I would turn on under the blankets.I took a shower once and the water was super cold again. I changed the bathroom hoping the other one would be different. It was a little warmer but alternated a couple times between cold and lukewarm water a couple of times. The table lamp in my room did not have light bulb in it and theWalkability: Awesome walkability to the train and seaport.
Lucy Li Parra: The first minute we came into the hotel we saw a MOUSE in the hallway, we even have a video of that! That was literally disgusting as it shows how clean the hotel is. The room was very cold as there is no heating system and there were not enough blankets in the bed. In general, the experience began the worst possible because of the mouse so summing up, it was not a good experience at all!!
Diana Pacheco: Great location and safe. The room was perfect for one individual/ maybe two if you are not planning to spend a lot of time in them. Since there is not an onsite person if there were nay questions you would have to receive support virtually. That being said, the bathrooms were dirty and I wish there was someone onsite to provide feed back to. Other than that, everything else was fine thank you.
Michael Kellstrom: Great location, but that's all you're getting with this spot. I'd recommend going solo at this place.Rooms: The rooms are tiny, its essentially a closet with a bed in it.
Martin Corcoran: Nearby activities: very central to everything in bostonRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
JIhan Sheriff-Crichlow (PAG Virgo): I have to say this place is like an evolution to hostel. Very quiet and discreet. Location of the train and bus is perfect and getting breakfast is easy with the amount of stores walking distance. Definitely planning to come here next year.Rooms: Very small but personableWalkability: Just accessible all around
Ayush Gupta: Excellent location, which is why we booked this place. Rooms are pretty small, but with the price it makes sense. Kitchen and bathrooms are shared with other guests on the same floor (2 bathrooms for 6 rooms/12 guests, which felt sufficient.) Common areas were well maintained and very clean.Had some issues with check-in, the previous guest had not checked out when we came. We had to wait for around 30 minutes, but we got one night refunded, so it was good :)
ha bk: Great location , few minutes from the convention center , Starbucks and Train station right across the street , next to the main door the best sushi in town , i highly recommend this placeRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Loudens Lumene: No parking I spent 2hrs to find a parking 😡😡😡
Eugen Koros: Attention rip-off!!! ACCOMMODATION IS NOT RECOMMENDED!!! Loud, smelly and unsanitary. On the square just behind the house, the smelly garbage from the surrounding restaurants is collected. In the morning from 5 a.m. he is picked up by trucks for more than 1 hour and delivery services are carried out. The ventilation of the two adjacent restaurants takes place directly below the bedroom window, which is whyGreasy, smelly air comes into the bedroom from morning to evening at 11pm unless you keep the window closed, which is unbearable due to the heat. The carpets in the house are totally dirty. It's very unhygienic throughout the house. The kitchen is for 18 rooms and also very dirty. According to the host, the guests should clean them themselves, but this does not work, especially since only 1 old sponge and a small bottle of washing-up liquid are provided as cleaning material. Contrary to grandiose announcements, Thatchquarters cannot be reached, either by phone or email. They don't even answer the AirBnB headquarters. Complaint emails are ignored and ironed out later. They're just out for the money. They don't care about the well-being of their guests. NEVER AGAIN!!Achtung Abzocke!!!
Chiman Gao: I can’t believe this is a full start booking on Airbnb. This room at the location I booked. is totally different from the original pictures. Please see the first picture. The size and lay out are totally different. Moreover, the bed has a thin blanket that is not for a human at 35-50 F in a room with no heater. The AC is not adjustable and not on, so the room is really cold. See second picture. What’s the worst is there was a truck working nearby the window2-3 and and 4-6 am.Totally cannot fall asleep because of the cold room and noice window.I arrived the Airbnb at 12:10 am. It took us 30 minutes to get in because the door lock did not work although we have the correct code. After trying 30 minutes in the cold air feeling hopeless, we finally get in using the same code that didn’t work before. Later on, the door lock password did not work. So I have to leave the door open every time going out the room to the washroom.I am really frustrated and I don’t feel safe in this location. If you are going to book this place, don’t trust their pictures and this place is even worse than the hostel I have been before.
Tyler Smith: Great location with a T station just across the street.Rooms: 3/5|Location: 5/5 …More
