Wayne Sova: I was trying to get some drain pipe and all shelves were bare. When asked if they had it…. Response was “it’s outside and I have to go get it. You’re killin me.” 15 minutes later it comes and we are ready to check out. Mind you we have now been in the store 1/2 hour trying to get what we needed after having found the empty location. Go to self checkout and there is no tag on the pipe. The lady at self checkout now says you need to go back and get the skew number. Come back with a section of pipe that has a skew…. And she says that isn’t what she needed. And she freaks out saying she wanted the picture of the tag from the shelf. I proceeded to ask her to scan the code and she ignorantly says “excuse me, I’m speaking” in a mean tone. We walked out and went elsewhere. Terrible experience at this store. After 45 minutes of wasted time we drove to Lowe’s.

Scott Shear: Great service, the guy in the yard bundled up my Hardie clapboard and placed it gently on my top roof rack...an unexpected pleasure.
Sean Crosby: It’s really a shame they can’t find anybody competent to work in the yard there. Great selection, especially for Boston; however, the guys in the yard are horrible. Lazy, incompetent, ignoring customers while they watch videos on their phones.

Luis Melendez: Well in the beginning is a good relationship with the gentleman ordering materials for my deck at home.Removing old PT installing Trex decking.I got two estimate from them at a very slow pace. I had to call or email for my quote’s. It took over days to received them. Later I had to add more materials. Man it was like asking for the gold.Email him in the end of June and the first week of July. As of today no email or call about the decking materials. I didn’t even called again or send another email. Very poor communication with clients.And you want to buy local instead of shopping with the big stores.

No Thanks: ATTN TRUCK DRIVERS-GPS will bring you in the wrong way.*Take Melnea Cass/ Mass ave connector (I-93, exit 18).*Turn LEFT onto Hampden.*George st is 6 streets down on your left.This is a pretty good place to unload. A little limited in terms of space, but it's doable. I maneuver a 290" truck & 48' flat without any problems.The employees are great. They're always super busy, but will still treat you with respect and get you out of there ASAP.All-in-all; 5-STARS. Good job NEBS.

Hélio Oliveira: Everyone knows that this store has the worst customer service in Boston. It’s not something new. But now they don’t have bags to pack our stuff. It’s not something that happens once in a life time. It happens ALWAYS. And when I talked to one of their staff about it he laughed at me. Home Depot, please track the incompetent behind this and figure it out. It’s very annoying having lots of items to carry without a bag
George Vero: I must have asked 7 different staff for help and no one seemed to give a f. Enough to help. My crew and I do construction work all over the states. And this is by far the worse. What great location, and horrible service.
Jon Mendicina: I went in to to place an order for fencing...a $3000 order. First, no one at the pro-desk or customer service desk could be bothered to help me. You would think i was asking for a favor and not a paying customer. Once I did finally get the order place, they refused to give me any kind of reasonable estimate on when it would be ready...they said just keep calling? So I did and after a total of over an hour on holds...I finally got someone that it would be prepared on this past sunday and my contractor could pick it up on Monday. So he waited until Tuesday just to be sure and when they showed up...NOTHING had been done. Now my contractor wasted a 1/2 day waiting and going to the store to pick up. Waste of time...the LAST time I ever go to this store.

As young female woodworker, I often have my judgement questioned at the lumber yards I visit and glad to say this was not the case at Sterritt. Will return.
Palo Coleman: Classic east coast service with attitude. They can't be bothered to answer about even the most simple thing possible like what the price is on the lumber. Go any where else. Find a family owned lumber yard to to support but not these guys.
