I love the character at the office (Alicia) that does the scheduling, the slightly gruff tech that maintains my irrigation system (James...he is an expert!), and the expertise of the owner (Michael) for more complex matters. I bounced around with other firms over the years, but it is no coincidence that I have called on Suburban exclusively since I found them three years ago.

So Lim Ting: This was the second year using them and there was an issue with one of the zone. So waited 1 month for them to come back because was busy. They came and couldn’t fix the problem and say we stayed 1 hr and have to go to next job and screw up the rest of the zone. So now they didn’t fix it but made it worse. Suppose to fix 1 zone but combined 3 zones to 1. I called their office and spoke to Alicia wanting an explanation and she didn’t sound to polite. Not too professional from her and the technician. Kurt Diebold: Just had a new septic system installed last fall and the sprinkler system was torn up in the process. A large portion of the front lawn was also destroyed. The final grading was to be completed in the spring followed by replacement of the sprinkler system, then reseeding. Because of the wet spring this year I was very concerned that there would be a delay in the completion of this work, so that we would have to wait until the fall to reseed. Suburban Lawn sprinkler did a great job in addressing all of my concerns. They came out before the final grading and explained what had to be done. They had not installed the old system, so all of the old valves and wiring had to be found. I called them the day the grading was complete and two days later they were on the property replacing the system, even though the wet weather made it challenging. My wife and I were very pleased with the timeliness and professionalism of the whole team. Communication was outstanding and we highly recommend them to anyone in need of installation, repair or routine maintenance of an irrigation system.
David Dahan: I needed to install an irrigation system and get a special approve from my town. Mike was great he did everything the town ask and my town have lots of requirements. When time to install came all I had to do is one email to mile and he made sure the system was installed on time. The team did a nice job. I tested the system and it work great. Turns out there great contractors that will not reap you off and will do a good job.
Tom Harriss: Needed complete home lawn irrigation system installed. They responded right away and arranged time to walk through, explaining in detail how everything would be laid out and how the system would work, and got me a very reasonable proposal document. On installation they showed up with a big team of guys and very thoroughly went through the whole project (I have a complicated yard layout) getting it all installed in one day. Great crew, very polite and professional, and knowledgeable. They went through the operation of the system in detail with me, making sure I was happy and understood how everything works. After a few days of getting used to the system, I called them and asked for some tweaks (adjusting the position and coverage of some of the sprinklers and concern that one area wasn't getting the coverage it should). They came back out the next day, made all the adjustments with no problems, and made sure I was completely happy with the results. These guys are great!

Melissa MacIntyre: I cannot say enough positive about Lyons Irrigation! He's a man of few words... but his actions are magnificent. He fixed our slightly broken irrigation system faster than a larger, "fancier" company took to diagnose the problem, let alone send a quote for a completely new system (?!) (which took three days!).As for another reviewer's claims of dishonesty -- from my experience, Jack Lyons functions on *trust*. To call him dishonest truly is tantamount to admitting to have never met him.
