Cañones 💣 a tamaño real.

George Monahan: Must visit if you are in Scituate
David Atchason: It wasn't open
Patrick Noenickx (Daddy N): I grew up in scituate, and I must say, if there is ever a need, to know and learn and obscure amount of information about not only the plant "moss". But also the old art if "mossing" then this is the place! It also works as a great punishment alternative for your kids. They think the Smithsonian or natural history museums are boring? They don't even know how boring this place could be to them!

Craig S: Hands down one of the best ship museums I have visited. I did not catch the tour leader/gentleman's name, but he served aboard the Salem. His knowledge of the ship, stations, power plant, ect. made this a really personal experience. It's off the beaten path, but well worth the visit!!Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No Price for adult entry $11–15 …More

D Miller: Be sure to find the 4th level below deck! It’s awesome and worth it! We went on an exploration of own, but the next time we’ll take a tour! It’s quite exciting discovering things for our own first and it would be cool to have someone show us around the next time! It looked like there were former servicemen from when the ship was active there to answer questions.
Swapnil Mhatre: An awesome exhibit for those interested in WW2 Naval history! I highly recommend checking out the Cruiser Sailor Exhibit on the 3rd deck when you're there.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes Price for adult entry $11–15 …More
Aleksandr Flom: If you're a history lover, or simply want a unique experience - you need to get there. Bring kids if you have em. Last heavy cruiser with heavy guns and armor in existence, USS Salem is a treasure trove of history. We visited on our way home from Boston to NYC, joined a small group of eager listeners who followed a volunteer, who gave us a private tour we will never forget. Guy didn't accept tips so we gave generously to ship's donation box. Hope that our collective dollars will keep this ship afloat and open to public longer. Loved every minute of being there. Staff was superfriendly, as well as a group of young cadets, who were gathered for some excercise there. Experiences like that very hard to come by for me, normally, and can not be expressed in dollar signs. Please visit and enjoy as we did.
Barton Cicero: Great history go check it outVisited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Not sure …More
Benjamin Pawlowski: Visiting this ship was an incredible experience. As a huge history buff, I was looking forward to visiting the last heavy cruiser still floating. Little did I know, I would end up spending over 6 hours here getting a personal tour of the entire ship, including many exciting areas closed off to the general public like the hangar and fire control room because they haven't been child proofed. The ship is entirely volunteer run and maintained, and these gentlemen and women deserve all the credit for it. I've never been on another ship that lets you have access to so much of it! I want to give a special thanks to Jim for the warship tour of a lifetime.
Jimmy (JMAGG): Great place to visit
Thaddeus Drake: My kids loved visiting (8 & 7). Definitely a great way to kill an afternoon and learn some fun history at the same time!Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No Price for adult entry $11–15 …More
Jeffrey Hassell: Visited the USS Salem CA-139 yesterday and had a blast. It is a great ship and the volunteers were great and very helpful. Jeff and Jim took us down to the Engineroom and FWD Diesel. We had a great time and truly enjoyed our visit. We will be coming back to visit again and see the rest of the ship. I highly recommend visiting this great ship!!!!
Michael Vermes: Visited yesterday for the first time and certainly an experience everyone should have. Great access to the whole boat and one of the best museums I’ve ever been to. One you could go back to numerous times. Head over and you won’t regret it!Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No Price for adult entry $11–15 …More
Ethan Crain: Very interesting. We just wish there had been either an in-person or virtual guided tour. We did a self guided (random walk) tour.
Adrian Pamin: Overall very cool couple of hours. Worth going to if you're a fan of navy ships.Pros: This is an all access ship. Most areas are free to enter including the bridge, engine room, and turret! Very very cool place and really makes you appreciate the sailors who served on this kind of ship.Cons: the ship is currently under preservation efforts which means a lot of rust and peeled paint. Nothing to crazy but it's being actively maintained. Also add you're free to wander you might overlook some parts like the way up or that small access port that leads to another area.
Gary Wayne: Fantastic visit to the USS Salem ND her on board museums. Every ship enthusiast should take a tour.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Price for adult entry $11–15 …More
