Joscelyn Jurich: Andre and his team do an excellent job and I highly recommend Forte. After months of trying to find someone to build a railing for my mom's house for a reasonable price, I was referred to Andre. From the estimate to completion, everything went great and I appreciated all of Andre's clear and timely communication. Wonderful work and fairly priced.
Susan M: I would highly recommend Forte Irons. I recently engaged this company to install steel railings on my front stairs. The owner was very accommodating, professional, and polite. He thoroughly explained the various options for style and pricing, and allowed me to come to his shop to see the materials. The total cost (including powder coating) was reasonable and the job went smoothly. I believe the workmanship was high quality and the railings really look great.

Mark Egan: Poorly maintained shop with some of the rudest staff I have ever encountered. I used the shop for two years because they do have the most woodworking tools, but in the end it wasn't worth dealing with their condescending, unhelpful, and quick to anger staff.I worked 8 yrs at MIT and recommend you check out other shops on campus. TheDeep, for example, is full of knowledgeable and helpful staff with extremely well maintained equipment. If you do end up using the hobby shop bc of woodworking, do not expect much from the staff, they clearly view students and learners as something other than their mission.
Mike Warren: Great workshop with tools for woodworking, metal, 3d printers, and a laser. The shop is staffed by helpful and knowledgeable folks who care about your safety and project.Open to current and alum MIT students, the fee is a pittance compared to what you get.

Ricardo Robiglio: After signing the contract, the proposed installation of steel portal frames fabricated by Roman Iron Works was inadequate because they never came to visit the site, and they wouldn't accept another handling method.We asked them to deliver the frames so we could do the installation properly, but the owner refused to send them unless we pay for the installation (he was not going to do) and he stopped answering the phone and emails.Michael gave us no choice, and so we paid him for the installation he DID NOT DO.
Joshua Redstone: Called and asked if they did tack welding. The person who answered wouldn't answer the question and just said "we're open 7-5". Lame.
