Ruby M: I am a student and for the most part I like the system it’s far more superior to that of BPS where I had come from but I will say the majority in this system are bias and a little racist
Rosemary Park: I have loved CPS for my daughter so far. Caring teachers, staff and great curriculum.
Lily Lee: I am a parent to a CPSD student. While I can't say that the schools or the staff are perfect, they are generally fine and the staff are caring. It is a well funded school district with language immersion programs in 3 foreign languages: Spanish, Portuguese, and Chinese. How many school districts can afford that?! It is a school district with a socially/economically/culturally diverse student body and faces the challenges and advantages associated with these aspects. We, the parents, cherish these and help to improve the shortcomings where we can.

Sarah Lacina: Bravo to the librarian for pointing out that Melania's giving books to wealthy well resourced schools while her husband's party neglect and defund poorer schools, and ignore hurricane victims is the ultimate in snobbery and hypocrisy.

Sebastian Franklin Shaw: Sad that a bunch of politically motivated individuals would attack a good school's reviews over one librarian exercising her freedom of speech even if she made a mistake. The librarian had a point that Melania giving books to wealthy schools while ignoring children suffering from recent hurricanes and poor schools is wrong. How much of a snob do you need to be to only give charity to wealthy schools that don't need it?

Nicola Ferralis: Excellent. Lot's of teacher and parent involvement, language switching is seamless and effective. Highly recommended.
Eloise Botka: I have been at Amigos since Pre Kindergarden. I am in 7th grade and have been with the same 25 kids for about 9 years. We are all a close community and help each other like family. The teachers have good 1-1 time with all the students thanks to the relatively small classes. Since the other middle schools combined one year ago, sometimes our middle school feels out-of-place with the rest. But we know being bilingual is a great opportunity that we have and it makes us proud. This past year my 6th grade class came in 5th in the state for English MCAS scores. shout out to Ms. Schiano and Ms. Kaylen The transition from Spanish to English in the elementary school was difficult but a good stepping stone for us to have in our minds. In middle school we have 2 periods a day of full on Spanish classes. It is a great experience and I hope we get more and more students every year! ESCUELA AMIGOS SCHOOL!

Anne Beckmann: Excellent 5 star college counseling - approximately 1 college counselor for every 25 students with help also with financial aid. College prep beginning in 9th grade with twice weekly classes in 11th-12th grade. Close connections between staff and students as well as commitment to working with families.Junior Journey trip for all 11th graders (domestic and international options - e.g. Costa Rica, Guatemala, Puerto Rico). Piloting Pre-AP curriculum for 9th -10th graders - only Mass. school for 2018-19. Excellent small public school (only 100 students maximum per grade). Not perfect but always trying to do better which I can get behind. (I have 3 PHA graduates.)

Sam Beckmann: This school cares about not only the community inside of the school, but the community around the school too. It raises and teaches its students' to really live up to its charter. It engages the students in the learning by inspiring them to work hard and not give up on their dreams. Which then helps them to best succeed in life. This school really helps to prepare you for college and is really helpful in getting you into college. This school is by far the best school in Somerville hands down.
Delly: The teachers do what they need to. They're doing an amazing job getting me ready for college. This is a 10/10 school, and despite the other reviews, I'd highly recommend it.

Jessica Malinaz: 80% of the teachers there are horrible they act as if the students are blessed to be taught by them and if a student gets fed up with a teachers arrogance they get in serious trouble just for saying that they are people and they demand respect. This school doesn't have detention but does give out yellow slips which are a little too easy to get teachers just hand them out like free samples when I was visiting I saw a student who sat in her bio class quietly and was accused of talking when in fact it was a different student who was talking so the bio teacher told the girl who was quiet and paying attention to stop talking now and all she said was That wasn't me I've been paying attention and the teacher said talking back just earned you a yellow slip which goes on your permanent record and they shouldn't yes you should punish them if they act up but it shouldn't go on their permanent records until junior to senior year by then their brains a developed more especially the decision making part of the brain which isn't developed when they are younger than 16 and a half fellow parents please read this and take these up with the school board thank you

Uziel: Im working on enrolling my daughter for 3rd grade next school year, I had a chance last year she was #1 on the waiting list and called in. She currently goes to the Healey and is bullied threatend, which has mentally and physically affected her...im not the only parent whom is going threw this. I pray her exceptional reading and art and math skills are challenged to grow if enrolled. Currentlly I feel shes getting held from her learning due to the healys 2yr system! 1and2grade same teacher and class 3&4 ...and so on ! Though the last year teacher left due to unable to controll class greatfully her knew teacher is handling them very well.Please Lord allow my child to attend prosoect hill for 3rd grade! amen
