Hanscom Family Housing: what do users think?
Richard: Management doesn't think through their policies. Seriously lacking in common sense. When applying for a home, they request sensitive personal information like your SSN to an unencrypted email address (doubt they store encrypted as well). When you get here, they try to tell you follow additional rules that aren't clearly stated. Just be ready to have to back-and-forth with management for dumb reasons. Since housing anywhere within 40 mins is unaffordable for most military members, they pretty much have a monopoly in the area, and it shows.
Miranda Ardiel: If I could leave this place zero stars I would. Josiani in housing is absolutely rude, not professional, and condescending. From the day we walked in the housing office was unfriendly and rude. Due to military orders and providing us orders to move across the country in less than two months, and not being able to secure a moving truck due to the current PCS season once we got offered a moving truck we immediately gave her notice. Unsatisfactory to the housing office we were unable to provide a full 30 days, but we gave as much notice as we could. They charged us an extra $1500 for not being able to provide a 30 day notice. Marc for maintenance has been great very professional very respectful. The housing staff makes this place not worth it. Including the amount that we pay for BAH to live in these houses and they’re dumps -with the floors falling in my roof collapsing from a leak that was never fixed, extra charges and during the move out process all of the little things that they try to charge extra for . Would not recommend living here find a place off post which is doable with the amount to BAH they offer. What a joke of a place so glad to be out of that dump. They should get some new people in the housing office that are kind and respectful and know what they’re doing and stop randomly adding charges and dodging phone calls and emails. Sad that this is how our service members get treated and nailed with fees constantly, and being told that the housing office so sorry that we are financially insecure.
Emily Pabon: Live here 2018 to 2020 a lot to around the area. Only downside the drama on the community page and kids stealing stuff from your patio and you can hear your neighbors if you live in the townhouses.
Heather Fearny: Positive:Professionalism,ResponsivenessHave been added to the waitlist. Very nice staff. They go out of their way to help you. Honestly, this is the nicest housing staff we have ever encountered.Update: We just got offered three choices and picked one. The process has been great and the communication has been excellent.
Sheena P.: Very unprofessional office. I was placed on the wait list for months to live in base housing only to find out a week and a half before my arrival I was denied and removed from the wait list. I was in communication with the housing office from the time I received my job offer in Jan 2021 until my departure to relocate to Hanscom. This completely put myself and family in a rough situation to find housing at the last minute when we thought we had a home on base, previously accepted a home, and then come the next day after a credit check I was surprisingly denied. They pulled my lowest credit score out of all three in which the other two clearly qualified me. It’s very disheartening to have been hired as a civilian GS employee, pass a security clearance and deemed worthy to work at Hanscom but denied housing to reside on base. My family told me to fight this since it was very discriminatory but I’m over it and it’s not worth it. I strongly encourage anyone to be sure to have a backup plan just in case at the last minute before your arrival they decide to remove you from the list. I also highly experienced this office to be very rude towards me throughout my months on the waitlist and I recommend anyone to live off base. Good luck.
Terry C. Bailey: It’s been an absolute pleasure working with the staff within the Hanscom AFB housing department. I’m currently stationed in Michigan and will be transferring to Massachusetts this summer. The staff has been so helpful and has answered all of my questions, making the application process smooth. I am still waiting to hear back on if my family and I have made it into housing, so our fingers are still crossed that we can claim a home.Regardless, as a husband and father, knowing that the staff is working to assist my family diligently, wins a 5 star rating from me. Thanks for everything!
Alexander Fulham: Good
Kenzie McEvers: TDLR: houses are good, management has room for improvement.Pros:- the actual houses are nice and the neighborhoods are as well.-We had a quick move in and we’re offered the options of two houses despite being told it was a year waitlist but thankfully that wasn’t the case.Negative:- the house we chose was not cleaned; seriously dead piles of bugs. A lot of dog hair painted into the wall and on the stairs.- We got the automated survey and we mentioned this. Their response was “well what do you want us to do? We would’ve cleaned the house if you told us.” If we had known how their housing operated we probably would’ve mentioned it. In all of our other experiences with any housing, the house is cleaned and move in ready. The house had obviously sat for awhile with the amount of dead and living bugs inside.- Due to COVID the leasing agent didn’t come in before or after we got there or say more than 10 words so this left us with a lot us questions like when was trash day, where our mailbox is, all the usual information.
M S: Critical:Quality,Responsiveness
Dee Cortez: This is the far worst housing company that we had to dealt with in our 10 years of active duty. When we moved in we were told that the fence was going to be provided. All we had to do was to put a work order. I ask housing twice just to make sure and after signing paperwork I find out that maintenance doesn’t even install fences, we had to provide our own fence. I would suggest to train your entire staff. If y’all have pets and go to the dog park expect all pet stations to be full. They don’t really take care of the pet area.
Marcos Nogueira: Family
Ramonita Valle: Peaceful, family orientedMilitary base
Wade Williams: I have dealt with landlords all of my life but this place was the absolute worst that I have ever come across.

U.S. Army Natick Soldier Systems Center: what do users think?
Lauren King: I went there for a cac card and the person who usually does it wasn’t there so it was a different guy and he had no clue what he was doing and kept making up excuses on why he couldn’t do it so I literally drove an hour there for absolutely nothing.
Erin O: Went for an ID renewal, filled out the form ahead of time and was a painless process. Staff was courteous and friendly.
The Plant God: First congratulations on achieving teleportation. How much do diplomats have to pay to use the teleportation device ? Lol serious question

National Guard Joint Force Headquarters: what do users think?
stephen walker: They give you a phone number that doesn't work and I need an i d and help with my retirement account
Matt Kind: Nice newish building. Turns out I'm a lover not a fighter.
Thomas Forget: I don't know
Jacob Scace: Photography is a crime if it's on posted federal property."It is legal to take pictures of most of a military base from outside the base. If the area you are in does not allow for pictures there will be signs on the fence line saying so and making it illegal. Also do not be so sure you are on public property just because you are not in the fence."Giving 5 stars because the person below is a jackass.
Macarot: I've been out a few year now, but back in my time Normand Dubois was the best 1st Sargent. I gave 4 stars due to the homework they started before I got out. More people should know about the full time jobs one can get in the National Guards.

Hanscom Air Force Base: what do users think?
Maximus de'Medici: Today At 1 pm, the military sentry at the main gate refused to give my wife a visitor’s pass because he was tired. (My wife’s military ID just expired and she is scheduled for a new id appointment next week).
Sheena P.: I relocated to Hanscom AFB in May 2021 and start working in June 2021. I officially resigned in January 2022. I will try to make this as short as possible just to share my realistic experience. I’ve been a federal employee for 10 plus years. Relocated from Oklahoma City to Hanscom in hopes of a fresh start in my career and new experience. I worked in Logistics and unfortunately I experience very much blatant discrimination from this base. I do not like to write bad reviews but my discrimination did not end when I resigned. Sadly this still is going on after my employment ended. I officially resigned from this base in January 2022. 07 Jan 22 to be exact and this is going on Feb 2022 someone has still been falsifying my time in the pay system as if I am still employed there and placing me under leave without pay status (known as LWOP). This is after I have turned in my resignation and no longer working at this base. This has added up to 151 hours to date of LWOP post my resignation. It is no way this is right, fair, or just following my resignation for anyone to still be approving my time as if I am still employed, this has ultimately stopped me from receiving my retirement benefits. It’s embarrassing that a military base have treated me this way. I experienced racial issues during my short employment at this base and I would highly tell any minority who read this please do not work at Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts. They seriously need help with there diversity numbers and more than likely will want to hire more minorities. I relocated from Oklahoma City never been to Massachusetts or this base and from before I actually moved myself and husband to this location we lost our on base housing a week before we moved due to (no longer being qualified). It was one thing after another which explains my reason for resigning. I left to pursue my happiness in a new career and I pray this review will help someone out there who I pray will not experience what I did at Hanscom. Thank you!
Annette Wassell: We stayed at the Famcamp in July 2021. The host and hostess are very nice people; however, the rv park could use some upkeep. The bath house needs to be cleaned and is desperate for some upgrades (broken sink and stalls need repair). The park roads could use some rock because when it rains, there is nothing but mud holes. It appears some Campers are there for a long time (not sure about that 30 day policy). The grass doesn't look like it's been mowed in a month. The location is close to historic and sight seeing areas.
Matt Kind: "Those who defeat others are strong, those who defeat themselves are mighty."
Richard Worthen: I worked on the civilian side at a company that no longer exists. Helio Aircraft Corporation. We worked on military projects including the space shuttle trainer program, ITEC camera, defense projects and major fighter jet modifications for recon missions long ago. Also I went to East Coast Aero Technical School there. A certificate program for presentation in taking the tests for your A&P and General aviation license for aircraft maintenance. I spent six years at the civil air terminal in total. It is a really great place to keep aircraft and have service and pilot education. I have many fond memories of working, receiving education and making friends at Hansom. Really wonderful airfield.
Bonnie Miller: As far as Air Force bases go, Hanscom is one of the good ones. Great location, close-ish to Boston and tons of job opportunities. It has a BX and commissary, nice gym with plenty of equipment and classes, gas station, car wash, theater, MWR, hospital... For how small it is, it really has everything.
Joe Schroder: Great accommodations no far from downtown Boston.
Benjamin Keith: Awesome
Peter Glidden: A great place with great staff. Always fly safe!
Gerry Doyon: For such a small base it has lots of amenities--gym, movie theater, Base Exchange, grocery store, military clothing, the works! And, I've also enjoyed staying in base lodging I would enjoy going back again. The only negative is the massive amount of traffice in the morning and the aevening commute.
David Grigorian: Convenient airport for private flying classes or to park your private jet.
Zach Kiefer: Best place for your private jet.
Shawn Kennedy: A great place to stay for any reason. Well appointed rooms in a very convenient location.
Brendon “Kirbachu” Lee: good
Noah Silverman: Many airplanes.
Nicholas Taylor: Loved it lived and stationed there 3years didn't wanna leave but retrained :(
