Apple Cinemas Cambridge: what do users think?
Random: I came here and I had to call the police on them, they almost got arrested. My family and I were leaving the movies and the janitor asked us to pick someone else’s trash and we said no. Then she started cussing us out and insulting my father very badly. He didn’t do anything. He reported her to the manager. Her sons cats and wanted to fight my dad even though he nothing. I hate them and I’m never going again!
Ashley Cardenas: Favorite spot to go watch movies for a good price! Tuesday is always a good movie night! And all seats recline so you’re extra comfy while you enjoy your show!
Dennis Bellach: Used to be $4.75 on Tuesdays. Also the same price on Mondays for seniors. Not anymore, almost double!! Thank God for streaming. So long Apple Cinemas. You also lost 23 of my friends due to this.
Lyve P: I been coming to Apple Cinema for over 17 years now even during the pandemic. My kids pretty much grew up coming here from when the seats weren't great, the floors were sticky, the foul odors, stale popcorn and screens were bad to recently when they updated the seats, screens and overall layout. We also have A LOT of family and friends that come here as well from Cambridge and the surrounding areas. I always felt it wasn't always about the money with Apple so would sometimes go twice a week knowing AMC, Regal and Showtime screens, seats and audio were much better. Over the last few years I noticed the prices have went from as low as $7 to now almost $19 for 3D, almost $16 for 2D including the $1.75 for a service fee of $1.75 and even took away $4.75 Tuesdays starting last week and now charging $9.75??AMC offers $6.50 on Tuesdays and Showcase offers $5 on Tuesdays too. We always considered this like the community movie theater and with these new changes I can tell you we have noticed this and will take our business to AMC, Showcase and Regal moving forward. I'm sure the owner thought this was a good idea or maybe the new staff hired in the last few weeks we visited, (we noticed), but I can guarantee you this. Word spreads fast in Cambridge when it comes to what businesses we support and don't. We originally planned on taking our kids here often through the school breaks & holidays as usual. However this has changed everything. I'd be surprised if this place is still here in a few years if these recent prices are here to stay. Not angry or frustrated but more disappointing. Especially during a time where streaming services are winning. Good luck and hope it was worth all the all the money you planned on making.
Chaitanya Parikh: New recliner seats are amazing.
Kandi Stampe: I guess great minds think alike! Was getting ready to write a review and I seen someone already beat me to the punch.David David David ❤️ ❤️❤️So happy you are at this Cambridge theater now!!!!You might not remember me but you were always a Gem at Watertown. The Absolute best of the best!!!If you are here you have our business without a doubt.Thank you for being you!You were so bright last Tuesday!!!!The girls from Beacon Street will be seeing you often!🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
John Grant: Came in the other night( a group of us) and to our surprise and excitement 🤩 we seen David the Company Changer aka The Legend is working at your establishment now!!We had the pleasure of meeting him at the Majestic numerous times and he is for lack of a better word “ Epic”His knowledge of the city, unmatched customer service, professionalism, and kindness are Top Notch.. 6 🌟 Diamond Service. The whole city use to come to the Majestic just because he was on location. He didn’t see us the other night as we didn’t want to cause a scene but we watched him in action and it was a thing of art.( We wondered where he went to when we didn’t see him at the other theater) place is trash by the way without him..Sorry David don’t mean to sound like a fan but we really are fans.We will be back and hopefully chat soon and I will let everyone know where the New place 🎥 to be is these days. (Apple Cinemas)I hope you guys understand the level of management you just upgraded to the Gent is A Million Dollar a year worker and worth any penny. So happy we found our guy he makes everyone feel safe, smile, and the experience 🎞️ that much better!Great job Apple 🍎 your place really neeeded H E L P-J.Grant
Kapil Athreya Sangem: It feels like you are watching at your home with no bass
Kevin Hufnagle: Antiquated food & drink policy. Unclear how to get popcorn, of all things. Staff is very hostile to first-time visitors.
Jonathan N: Recliners go wayyy back. Better than the chairs at my favorite place back home actually. Self service was a bit odd like they just implemented it though.
Siva Ssk: Small theater, but seating were comfortable.
Aamir X: The male staff at the ticket counter was rude on Friday 2/17/2023 at 7:45 pm, no customer service skills at all.
Nabil Nasser: Very very cold in the cinemas. Nice seats tho
sai: It's a small theatre but has great seats and ambience
Raina Searles: Unassuming on the outside but the seats are nice and recline, super comfy and good for watching movies. Bathrooms are okay.
Siddharth Jhaveri: Overall the theatre is pretty good! No complains at all! In addition to this, the theatre has ample parking as a bonus!
Bhoomika Madhukar: Worst staff and theater in all of Massachusetts
ajay reddy: We are coming to this place from last one and half year. We went to a late night show and were waiting for a cab and told to wait outside the building in cold weather. It’s very wrong. The staff guy could have waited for 10 more mins. I hope this never happens again. Me and my friends are never coming to this cinemas again unless someone reacts on this.
Mani Kandan: Nice theater. Always a go to place for Indian movies
Madhav Reddy: Sound and Quality is goodSnacks are also good
Priya Munni: Worst experience as we were not at all informed when the show got cancelled. The staff was not helpful at all. After one hours of drive we did not even get an immediate refund and also was not given any compensation.

Landmark's Kendall Square Cinema: what do users think?
Gb O: Good theater overall. But the prices are unreasonable. Especially when their screens have dead pixels on them. $15 for a small can of wine.
Segdrick Russell: Great for Indi movies
Scott Norton: Went to see the Mario movie. Seats in auditorium 3 were large, spacious, sink-in-deep comfy, and they reclined! Plus the volume was at the perfect level - loud enough to hear but not so loud as to overwhelm me. The ambiance was that of a personal home theater that's open to the public. Clean spaces, friendly staff, and excellent wayfinding.
Samm Grayson: Small, quaint theater with really good sightlines and sound for movies
Alex C: Nice theater with comfortable, plush seats. Numbered seating. Good presentation of the movie, and I thought the accent lights around the sides of the theater were pretty cool-looking. Bathrooms were clean and plentiful as well.
David Ricaud: Amazing local theater with a classic multiplex vibe, friendly staff, and a good mix of mainstream and art house movies.
Jin Peh: I always enjoy visiting this cinema with its wide selection of movie releases. There is ample parking available and the cinema is also a short walk away from the MIT station. The restrooms are located on the level above with stairs and elevator access. There was only one counter that accepted cash when purchasing tickets drinks and snacks. The other counters accepted cards only.
Stephen B: Comfortable. Great movies. Discount tickets are the same price as regular tickets.
Katharina Kelm: The employee with long blonde hair deals with significant anger problems. Out of the blue, he shouted at us in explicit language, came super close as to threaten to throw punches and kicked us out of the theater. I strongly discourage everyone from visiting this cinema.
Kelvin: Five minutes after the 7 pm showing of Avatar: The Way of Water ended, the last employee (manager?!) started screaming at us to "GET THE F* OUT" for no reason whatsoever. He started banging at the bathroom door, where our friend had just entered, and kicked us out to wait for our Uber in the cold. That behavior came out of nowhere, was completely unreasonable and incredibly scary. "Don't come back, I do not want your business" - honestly, gladly.
Michael Lee: An employee was incredibly aggressive and rude toward our group after a movie ended. We were waiting inside for our Uber but he kicked us out in the cold, heckling us the entire time. He told us to “never come back” and I will definitely oblige. Never had such a rude interaction before.
Zenn: Very nice place.
Eli Gelfand: Best theater in Boston
fred Wanger: Easy parking, great seats, best quality movies: What more is there?
Duc Hoang: Black Panther 2 goes from a 1/10 movie to a 2.5/10 movie in this theater!!! A 250% increase!!!
Maureen Guiliani: Was there Saturday and was very dissatisfied with the management because I'm disabled with a feeding tube threating me out of the movies and didn't can
Brooke Pennington: Great selection of independent and foreign films. Parking nearby and also accessible by public transit.
Michael Berube: Great theater for both Arthouse & Mainstream movies, fantastic seating, just a few minutes walk from Kendall/MIT
William “Rhino Reviews” Clark: Attended a private showing of a documentary on women in the Boston music scene. Really nice theater with quality sound and comfy seats.
Iah House: Nice movie theater
Julian Peterson: Comfy chairs but no discount for seniors. Why post the Senior price when it's the same ?

The Brattle Theatre: what do users think?
Michael Jenkins: Came to see “Fremont” as part of the IFF.Loved the movie. Love the venue.
Stephen Kluczkiewicz: Went to an afternoon showing on the Sunday of the Boston Underground Film Festival with my daughter. It was an hour and a half animated shorts collection my brother put together, and it was very interesting and entertaining. Lots of talent from these artists that my daughter appreciated as she's studying animation. The Brattle is an old style theater for those who haven't been there. No seats that tilt back or hold your drink, but they were comfortable to me for the hour and 40 minutes I sat in my seat. I know they show older movies here, so definitely a fun place to go for a date or night out. Also, it's right near Harvard Square, so there are plenty of places to eat before or after the movie. Definitely worth going here.
David Finn: Cinematic Paradise. Any opportunity to catch a movie at the Brattle is a great one. Helpful, knowledgeable staff. Fantastic concessions, including popcorn with REAL BUTTER. I adore the Brattle!!!
Sami Shahin: This theater is a gem. Classics, Indies, foreign films; this theater has it all!
Nabil Nasser: A film enthusiast's paradise
Alex C: Charming theater in a gorgeous area of town. I've been wanting to catch one of their showings of older sci-fi/horror flicks but have yet to have the opportunity. I did get to catch the annual Bugs Bunny Film Festival, however, which was a blast!
David Eynisfeld: Fantastic little theater, cool bathrooms
Mark Carper: Historic place, great movies all the time... What else? Oh! Popcorn with real butter! I'm a fan for life - as is my recently-15 year old!
Steven Clancy: They make you wear a mask. No other theater requires that.
Caitlin Belle Isle: I love coming here, I’ve seen Ottessa Moshfegh talk about her new book, the documentary Meet me in the bathroom, and Wes Anderson’s movie The Royal Tennenbaums. It’s always really clean and the building is absolutely beautiful. Masks are required and although they are offered at the door I would recommend bringing your own. Also, don’t sit upstairs if you’re short you won’t have a great view lol.
John Jj: Awesome classic theatre
Michael Pierce: Both the Brattle and Coolidge Corner Cinema are mainstays for me as I'm a perpetual deep dive cinephile, love all kinds of foreign as well as the classics, nor, technicolor, anything Kubrick and Welles etc
douglas roberts: Classic art film theatre, excellent programming.
Steve Hiday: This is an excellent film house in Cambridge. The frequently show awesome doubleheaders of old-school cult flicks. Recently saw Mad Max Thunderdome here (part 2 of a Mad Max double feature.) Another fave was Brazil and 2001 Space Odyssey. Check the listings often!Olympic Otter
J. Mark Carper,_Ed.D.: Still fab after all these years! Son and I each have season tic - a bargain AND supports a great Cambridge "institution" (which term I use in the best way(s) possible!)
Francesco: Wonderful cinema to see the classics.
Michele Delfino: So glad to share this theatre w our 16 yo. His first 35mm film. Pee Wee's Big Adventure on the big screen.
cheer: Lovely theater!
Julia Cooper: One of my favorite places! Always a delight catching a movie here. If I had more time I'd probably be here several times a week, but alas.
Kirk Hardy: Intimate theatre that plays a very well curated set of some new releases but mostly film series type stuff. Lots of great double features, lots of stuff you always wanted to see in a theatre but couldn't. They also do some great showings coupled with Q&As with people involved or knowledgeable. Go see something! Even if it's just whatever they have playing that day.
Eleanor Lundy: Nice venue

Harvard Film Archive: what do users think?
Yadiel Ephraim: I have no words to describe the excellence of these people. They are just fantastic, and I'm thankful they helped me out in Local Boston masonry and construction when it mattered most! It would be best if you took advantage of their services which can be yours at discounted prices. Highly recommended!
Daniel Lentini: Darkest room to see a movie in the greater Boston area.
Maximilian Halus: A wonderful place to see rare and classic films. It has a simple, but well laid out theatre, in a beautiful Le Corbusier designed building. 👍
Hypnovista: Excellent venue for eclectic films. Visiting film makers often open films. Become a member and get on the guest-list for showings that may sell out and reduced admission. Located in Harvard Square where parking can be hard to come by. 10 minute walk from Harvard station.
Anthony Chase: The first time I saw a film directed by Jean-Luc Godard was at the Carpenter Center in 1967 or 1968. It was about a member of the PCF, his girlfriend and the Italian film industry. Fritz Lang, cast as a famous director, says of the movie's financing, "the Nazis took out a gun, the Americans take out a checkbook." I had a hard time coping with the film's style but I loved the color. Somehow, 2 years later, I interviewed Godard on public television in Madison, Wisconsin. Later still, I saw the film without subtitles in a small theater near the Sorbonne. By then I understood it. All thanks to the Carpenter Center!
Amy McClellan: We went for a birthday party. It was so fun!
Katherine Meng: Must go institution for cinephiles in Cambridge AND the building is the only one LeCorbusier designed in North America.
Janet Benn: Harvard Film Archive is an essential part of the Harvard Art Museums as it conserves and exhibits films as works of art. HFA is one of the few places in the world that does this consistently. The filmmakers themselves are often part of the show, and they are from all over the world.
eddie gutierrez: Film at its finest
Zach Suto: Excellent place to see films you would never see otherwise
Paul: The best place to see art-house cinema in the Boston area.

Central Square Theater: what do users think?
Jordan B: I went to see Angels in America there, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint!! the seating was comfy, and the lobby was very interactive with background facts about the time and place of the play. very cool! would definitely recommend.
Marianne Laffitte: I love central square theater and have attended performances since 2011. My husband and I are long time subscribers. There is a nice mix of plays each year, and I tend to particularly enjoy the science oriented plays. The only thing I really don’t like are the all gender bathrooms. It is a very uncomfortable experience for me.
Ty the Real estate Guy Ent (Ty the Real Estate Guy): Nice 👍🏿
Kate Oteng-Bediako: Intimate setting for impactful theater performances. Impressed by the optimization of the space and the level of effects possible! Great location in Central Square and accessible by walking or the T to MIT's campus. So much enjoyed seeing Alma here!
Kelly Cambridgeport: Hidden gem! The Central Square Theatre offers quirky plays different from the other local organization. More edgy. Location convenient to public transportation and reasonable pricing.
Michael Schatz: Very interesting play
Behnam Sattar: Great theater with cozy and simple vibes.
David Smith: Their "All Gender bathrooms" ruin the experience - insane that as a society (or at least in the hyper-liberal college part of society...for now) we are forcing women to pull their pants down around stranger men. Please immediately change back to the humane regular traditional (science & nature-affirming!!) Men's and Women's bathrooms. What a disgrace and blight upon sane humanity this new misguided trend represents.
Kali Katseanes: Amazing customer service and wonderful experience!
Jonáš “Mloxard” Koliha: I wonder how many people went here as children
Gerald Manning: Very quaint and cozy
Rachelle Gaudet: Wonderful small theater, no bad seat. And the play, Ain't Misbehavin, was fantastic!
Gordon Fu: Worst theater facilities I’ve ever been to. Seats are basically on the brink of falling apart. Overpriced drinks. Water for 5usd. 😡
Beverly C. Sealey: Wonderful.
Rick Weber: Excellent theater, especially the plays that enact the lives of people in science.
Kerry Phelan-Li: Absolutey fantastic shows in an intimate space. From the actors, to the staff, to the fans, you can tell how much everyone truly loves the theater and community it builds. The shows here are far better than the big theaters downtown where unless you sit orchestra, you cannot see the emotion, professionalism, and talent of the cast and crew. My fiance and I have been to 5 shows now and cannot wait for the next one. Buy a ticket, support your community, and enjoy the show.. you will not be disappointed!
Anna Rombe-Shoov: Excellent reopening. Loved QR code scandals programs. Supperb play. The atmosphere is electric. Felt very safe with everyone masked, and card vaccination checks. Greatful to be back in the actual theater. 🙏
Albert Gnadt: Great MIT student ticket deal, thanks! Good acting and nice little concession area. I'll be back.
Just_Nyi: The play "pipeline" was an amazing play. The actors were really into it not to mention my uncle Hubens Cius
William Lee Roberts: Home to two creative theater companies performing innovative works
Fabiola Louis Jean: My kiddos and I had a good time there

The Majestic 7, Arsenal Yards: what do users think?
Javier Postigo: Confortable, excelente atención pero creo que deberían agrandar sus porciones de pop corn.
David Previti: Comfortable seats great sound
Molly Gross: Cleanest movie theater I’ve been to. Concessions weren’t even that expensive. Really nice seats.
Ronen Tzadok: A great movie theater, comfortable seats, great quality of screening and nice people. The only downside at the visit was the concession. Our movie started at 8:00pm, and by then they sold “older” popcorn from a nylon bag, because they were closing the concession. Why do you close the concession before the last movies are starting?
Veronica Lane: We’ve seen about 5 movies here and always have had a great experience. It’s one of the best theaters around, the screens are large and the projector quality is better than some other local options.Recently we had an issue with a movie that was cancelled at the last minute because the projector wasn’t working. They refunded us and let us see another movie for free, and they also gave us free tickets to see another movie at a future date and apologized for the inconvenience. All in all we were happy with the customer service.
Samara Peters: Great seats. Decent snack selection. It was great to be able to park, have lunch, then pop in for a movie. Lovely location.
Darren Smith: The best theater I've ever been to. Majestic 7 strikes the perfect balance without the hassle and awkwardness (servers with bright tablets serving meals) of the Superlux theaters.Majestic 7 hits every key mark for a theater:- they are adequately staffed- it is the cleanest theater ive ever been to- the decor and aesthetics are superb- the popcorn is next level- they serve beer- the seats are like fluffy memory foam stuffed fake leather cloud that recline all the way down- fantastic leg room- the biggest (non-imax), brightest and most pin-sharp picture you are ever going to find- crystal clear surround sound with plenty of base always at the correct volume- assigned seating- free parking at aresenal yardsI just can't say enough about this theater. It is the future of cinema. They absolutely nailed it... I just hope they can maintain it.Pro Tip: I find that row F is in the sweet spot
Greg Howe: Friendly staff, great snacks and drinks, advanced and comfortable theatres. Seats are very comfortable.
Sean Murphy: Consistently understaffed. Couldn’t order any food, was told that it was because they didn’t have enough staff to make food.
Chany Monique: Today 4/5/23 , I brought two kids to see the super Mario movie. Upon us arriving for our movie noone was there to scan our tix in. So the only theater that said super Mario was open with ppl coming out. I asked what was going on the gentlemen cleaning theater asked if we was there for the 330 show where I told him yes. He said they still had to clean the theater so we could wait outside. After about 20 mins I then seen the ticket person in front to scan tix was never there when I tried scanning tix and asked at 357 why was the movie pushed back? He said our movie was in another theater and started.I then spoke to the manager Gloria told her we’ve already missed the first 30 mins if we could be refunded. I explained everything she said ok refunded. Now the kids have the first half missed a good piece while we’re sitting there the manager comes back to the theater in tells me to take the kids and leave cause she refunded us. Again she knew that there was no ticket person there and the cleaner gave us incorrect info. The Gm Scott comes over “pay for the tix again they just refunded or leave theater”.After I’ve been given incorrect info they then Wanted me to pull the kids out after they started watching for 10 mins to leave. So they made me pay again for a movie that no one was around to direct us too and given wrong info from one of their employees. The Gm did not care that there was no one there to even scan my tix or that the employee cleaning told him he gave me wrong info.I then said refund me the kids then and I pay for mine they didn’t want to take any responsibility. This is the worse I’ve ever been treated at a theater. Not only was that embarrassing how they treated me but didn’t care then the gm proceeded to speak aggressively like I announced you missed oh well I have never witnessed or experienced such an ignorant Gm and manager.
Rory Razon: Beautiful theater. Love the screens. Buyer beware though - If you can’t make a movie you have to apparently eat the cost. Unlike their competitors requests for refunds are ignored.
Derek Lanham: Been here a few times very up to date movies but the workers that open the door to the theater 12 minutes before the movie never appear so I can purchase a drink at the register. Then chase after me to let me know I need to go to the desk to use my fandango because I have to print it and treating me like I was wrong when I never was able to even get a drink and having to rush to even get to my movie. This place is ridiculous. I was tempted to just get a refund but I will not be returning even though it is the closest movie theater to my house.
Anthony Westendorf: They won't give you a refund. I tried to get a refund on tickets 48 hours in advance. They ignored my emails and my phone calls. Overpriced and not worth the hassle.
Han: Very comfortable recliners and those soda machines with like a thousand flavors. Great snack selection and ofc good popcorn. Its quite expensive but so is every movie theater so you might as well go here.
Iris Castillo: Nice place!
Edward Bartholomew: Great theater, comfortable seats, great sound and visuals. Highly recommended
Mr CST: This place is so new for being there for 2 years...seat's electric recliner and leather screen and sound system awesome...our son is legally blind and 100% deaf and he had no problem seeing the screen and hearing through vibration from the sound system....and signing to him as well....and the staff was phenomenal as well with helping with our son they asked us if we would like a machine with closed caption we nicely replied no thank you we sign to him....
Eugene Epshteyn: New and clean theater, with fully reclining seats. Plenty of free parking in nearby garage
Jenni AAaaatiii: New Review:Went to the theater for the 1st time in a while and it was unrecognizable..All the great staff were gone. The place was trashed and we seen a mouse or rat on way to theater.. The workers there now come across rude and racist. We will not be back. The place is terrible these days.….Got a tour of the building as I was told about this place from friends. So happy to meet David(manager) finally as my friends have been raving about how cool, polite, and dedicated to greatness he is.The place looks very clean and new and the tour David gave was magnificent. Such a enjoyable person to be around. Very rare for people these days to be genuinely kind and happy towards others. He made us laugh so hard.David we appreciate you making everyone who comes in the theater experience unforgettable!❤️ Jenny n Friends
ت لينيني: Not clean, dirt everywhere, and a cockroach
Devanshi Italiya: Nice recliner seats, sound system and service. Wide variety of snack options as well. Clean and Comfortable. Tickets and snacks are pricier than AMC or Cinemark.
