Mike's Monster Guitar: what do users think?
Dan Peluso: Mike is the man! Go here mostly for repairs over purchases, but they do have drumsticks and some guitar accessories if you need em. As far as repairs go though you can tell your instruments are handled with care.
Nicholas Jacovides: After extensive research, I decided to go to Mike's Monster Guitar shop to have my guitar serviced. Mike was very pleasant and easy to converse with. He got back to me the same day to tell me my guitar was ready. Talk about fast service! I recommend Mike wholeheartedly to anyone looking for good and fast service.
Audrey Day-Williams: Fantastic service!
M.J. C.: It's ok. Some middling vintage off brands. Not much of a selection but would do in a pinch. Owner polite but not friendly or welcoming. Ambience of a comic book shop or a thrift store. Fine for strings or pedals if you are in a pinch. I was very disappointed.
paul trunnell: Mike's done a great job keeping an authentic music shop right on Mass Ave. GREAT selection of quirky one-of-a-kind guitars. He's done solid repair work for me a couple of times and is a great quick stop for strings, etc.
Richard Vito: Great service
Andy V: Had to run in quick because I was late for practice and needed drum sticks- dude was super straightforward and to the point. In and out in less than 3 minutes! Props to the small shops
Jack Bossom: This is where you should take your business if you want an interesting vintage electric guitar or you need a repair. Mike is reliable and well-known.
Bashir Ali: Hh
John Harper: One of the original, old school guitar stores. Come in, play, and talk about the real gear.
Bob Sargent: Great place to buy trade or have work done.
M O: Had a setup done recently on two acoustic guitars. One guitar also needed to have a top crack cleated. All was done at a very reasonable price with great turnaround. Mike was professional throughout. Availability of street parking is a plus.
Carly Carney: Great guy honest prices
Yasin Pektaş: İ liked this shop. Here was small but so cute.
Jerome Oks: Mike worked on 3 guitars of mine. I highly recommend him for the quality of his repairs and setups, his fast turnaround and his very reasonable prices.
Jay Z: Mike knows guitars! Very cool place.
Bill Dwyer: Have had two guitars set-up by Mike (1 electric & 1 acoustic-electric) and both came out sweet! Fair prices for services and a unique shop with a nice inventory of axes. Great location too.
Diane Kaufman: Nice dig place goob staff friendly
Catherine Capozzi: Great selection of unique guitars and awesome guitar repair by Mike.
Pranav Kulkarni: Great place to visit to play new guitars. Staff is very helpful.
Loren Stallcop: Mike is an awesome guy and this shop has one of the most wonderfully eclectic collections of guitars I've seen in a small shop. Excellent.

Guitar Stop®: what do users think?
Logan Thompson: Reviewing low for two reasons:1. Their repair competence is very low. They couldn’t diagnose several basic issues with my guitar, which another luthier spotted easily2. They have a small selection of low end to mediocre guitars
Davis Sweet: The owners are very nice, but they don't stock higher-end instruments
Daniele M. Becker (DANA): Impeccable
Gary Luongo: Glad they stock the D'Addario Folk Nylon strings I like. Jean was very helpful and nice. Thanks Gary
Andrey Fedorov: I love this store, and am very happy to support this small business, which at times has a better selection than big retailers. I was saddened to hear they are vehemently opposing the bike lane initiatives of the city. I want to say that I never had a pressing need to park in front of this store. Parking space availability is not going to affect my interest or ability to shop here. Update: I believe the bike lane design being implemented by the city is the best attempt we have at balancing the needs of various stakeholders of the community.
Jayson Hreczuck: Owner vocally against basic infrastructure improvements. If you care about public and pedestrian safety, take your business elsewhere.
Tony B: It's a nice little family owned shop with a wide selection of quality products; issue is that I've gotten 3 guitars setup here and all 3 of them have buzzed when I got them home. One so badly that I couldn't overcome it and had to bring it back. Maybe they are taking on too many jobs and the tech is trying to crank them out too quickly, but $60ish for a setup that I then have to fix is a dealbreaker for me.
Scot Fitzsimmons: Small shop, well stocked for strings and accessories. Owner is super helpful!
paul trunnell: Super friendly and professional, great selection of reasonably-priced stuff, love that they have several left-handed guitars always in stock. I generally drop in for small stuff (strings, guitar hanger, slide, etc.) and they always have what I'm looking for.
Sketches for you: I was going to buy a bass guitar here, but the lady wouldn’t let me try out any of them, even though there was no one else in there, AND I had brought my headphones. What’s more is that she wasn’t busy at the moment. I ended up going over to Mr. Music in Allston to get a bass and bass amp from there.
César Rincón Mayorga: I love this place. They've got a whole bunch of Fender instruments. The people who tends you here are extremely nice, and they know their products. I got lucky there was a 75th anniversary Fender Telecaster on sale and, well, I bought it.5/5.
Thomas J: Hands down the best place to go for Fender. Huge selection. Just bought an excellent Professional Strat to go with the Performer Tele I bought here a few months ago. Tried a bunch of guitars and they have everything you could want up and down the line. Very patient with me on both experiences and I am VERY picky. Go to some other shops, try them as I did, you will return to Guitar Stop. Ten stars!
Robert Goodwinr: Cozy place with lots of great stuff inside, including lefty players which is what attracted me being a left handed player. This is a family owned place from what I gather, and everyone that i've met here has been very nice to me. So, not sure why there's negative reviews posted here. One of the guitars i bought kept fret buzzing, brought it back weeks later and turned out to be a bad neck, exchanged no problem. Restrung one of my guitars right in front of me, set action, intonation and left within that hour of arriving. *****JEAN - I just wanted to say a big Thank You for adjusting the bridge on my Strat the other day! It's plays out great now staying in tune very strong!! Appreciate. See you guys later, til next time****. Robert
Juana Mendoza: I got my ukulele three months ago I love it! And when I didn't know which ukulele I should get they help me right away.they help me on Which size I should I get and the 7 day return policy help me a lot on if a which size. So I recommend
Billy Lazzaro: Lovely shop, incredibly kind and patient staff
Clawman Segele: Guitar Stop is a great place to get a beautiful instrument. They have a very broad and very nice selection of quality instruments, that are quite affordable. The staff is very responsive to emails and very helpful in store as well. I would highly recommend Guitar Stop to any musicians looking to get a nice guitar, bass, banjo, or any of the other nice instruments they have!
iZyxel: Really enjoyed my experience there! The staff were really nice. The pickups on the bass I bought were a bit loose but that's alright, probably came loose on the way home, which I can fix.
Jonathan Roses: Knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful staff.
Larry: I purchased a guitar online with curbside pickup. The staff were very responsive to my email inquiries and friendly during pickup. I look forward to returning when in-store shopping is available again.
Tim Russell: Best place for lessons. Instructors listen to students. Easy to schedule.
Owen Turner: Amazing little guitar store. You can tell they really care about guitars and guitarists.

Armageddon Shop: what do users think?
Shawn Mullins: I'll never go to another record store again! They have everything good!
Rafael Žambas Bertola: Best store in Massachusetts
Wesley Williams: An institution and national treasure
Alex C: Cool store! They have a great selection of vinyl, mostly punk/metal/hardcore, which can be hard to find. They also had a selection of printed materials, and I love 'zines! I plan to stop in whenever I'm in the area. They required masks, but that is no big deal.
William Digman: Least punk shop I’ve ever been in. Extremely disappointing crowd, selection and just the mask situation is…incredibly ironic.
Usman Khaliq: This is an awesome store for metal and hardcore music vinyls! They have a really cool collection, and I always end up spending a long time perusing through their collection. The records are very decently priced and you will often find some really hidden gems at great prices. Shop local, and support these folks!
A. Mark Mento: Picked up a couple of used records that were in perfect mint condition.
Django Applegate: It was a pleasure to sell records to them.
Ralph Mac: Good Stop...Bring a coffee....And your Ganja Buzz.....🎃
Sam Hill: I just got my copy of Angst “lite life”, a somewhat difficult album to find, and it is perfect. The shipping container is extra sturdy. The album is in A++ condition. I’m extremely pleased and will definitely be shopping here again.
Danilo de Nadai Sícari: A lot of Metal, Indie and Punk rock records!
Clifford Sukeforth: Awesome! If you like punk/hardcore/metal....Definitely shop here.
Amadeus: Went in recently and bought something, then ended up having an issue. I called the shop up today and Chris was wicked nice and helpful in getting it sorted out! Great customer service on top of having a really awesome selection - if you're into punk, hardcore, and metal, I think it's the best selection in the area.
G: Whenever I'm in town I'm going to make a habit of stopping by here.
Jai Burdick: Amazing selection and great environment, picked up a few records here last time I was in Harvard Square and I'll definitely be returning
Kael Zebub: Best place to find dark and alt vinyl. MostlyGo to the Boston shop but excited to check out Providence.
Amy Vanord: Our first attempt to check in and they were not open but the next day we were lucky! Awesome inventory of better known to unknown indie/punk and a nice selection of books too. Definitely a must if you are or have been into the scene.
Semih Ö.: Metal ve rock müzik adına hemen her şey mevcut.
Rob Hnasko: My first time in this store was this summer and I was positively overwhelmed by the choices of Records. It looked to me like they catered heavily towards Punk, Metal, Alternative Records but have a small mix of other genres as well. Very clean and helpful staff.
Rikard Pendergrass: Awesome selection. Great prices. Quite a bit of cds, vhs, cassette tapes, and vinyl.
heavy lids: Sick record store with amazing merch and zines. Got a sick stash of late 90s/early 2000s Maximum Rock n Roll issues. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Boston!

Wood & Strings Music Center: what do users think?
ben baker: passive agressive and shady business practices
Stephen Lafko: Excellent. Freddy's great. Very helpful. Very knowledgeable. Thanks Freddy.
The 3D Print Zone: My friend and I went into this shop and were disrespected by the guy who works there (not sure if he's the owner). Highly negative attitude, not sure what that guy's deal is. I would recommend finding another guitar shop where they treat their customers with respect.
Kevin Stillerman: FIND ANOTHER GUITAR SHOP! Wish I could leave a 0 star rating. The owner of the store was extremely rude and disparaging. His tone is very condescending when I asked him about how to wire my guitar. In addition the overall pricing at the store is very high including hourly rates. I encourage you to bring your business elsewhere, there are plenty of other guitar shops in the area.
Meghan: love this school it’swelcoming and cozy!!
Alan Foster: It was great meeting you today Deborah, thank you!
Catherine Jones: Great service! I really like to be here.
Jason Goodwin: Great staff, terrific deals, and they do a first-rate job fixing and setting up instruments.
Charles Bosselman: The owner was very nastyWhen I inquired about a position at this store. Told her the email I used wad invalidShe said it's not invalid. I don't recommend anyone for working at this store.
Te Liu: 2021-12-27 in store. not big, perhaps a treasure cove to some, worthy a hunt, did wonder if they knew what they had. met the owner Deb (percussionist & banjoist) and tender (violinist), very amicably and friendly environment and offering various musical lessons. (anti-virus filtering system.)---- 4 moths agoA tiny corner music store in Arlington. My be a treasure hunt for used music books.
Juan Venegas: Not very helpful. Will never go here now.
Mira Whiting: Super helpful staff -- both when I was buying a ukelele for one child, and when I needed an emergency violin repair for another. Highly recommend!
Aaron Leventhal: My son loves the guitar and voice lessons he gets there. He's made huge improvements in the last 6 months. The instructors are excellent.
Jennifer Redinger: Overpriced and guy was dishonest and rude. Charged me $35 for a $15-20 string and didn't have another option because I was in a tight spot.
zhao ruyan: Very nice service.
thomas olmsted: Simply the best
