Dan Peluso: Mike is the man! Go here mostly for repairs over purchases, but they do have drumsticks and some guitar accessories if you need em. As far as repairs go though you can tell your instruments are handled with care.
Nicholas Jacovides: After extensive research, I decided to go to Mike's Monster Guitar shop to have my guitar serviced. Mike was very pleasant and easy to converse with. He got back to me the same day to tell me my guitar was ready. Talk about fast service! I recommend Mike wholeheartedly to anyone looking for good and fast service.

M.J. C.: It's ok. Some middling vintage off brands. Not much of a selection but would do in a pinch. Owner polite but not friendly or welcoming. Ambience of a comic book shop or a thrift store. Fine for strings or pedals if you are in a pinch. I was very disappointed.

Logan Thompson: Reviewing low for two reasons:1. Their repair competence is very low. They couldn’t diagnose several basic issues with my guitar, which another luthier spotted easily2. They have a small selection of low end to mediocre guitars

Andrey Fedorov: I love this store, and am very happy to support this small business, which at times has a better selection than big retailers. I was saddened to hear they are vehemently opposing the bike lane initiatives of the city. I want to say that I never had a pressing need to park in front of this store. Parking space availability is not going to affect my interest or ability to shop here. Update: I believe the bike lane design being implemented by the city is the best attempt we have at balancing the needs of various stakeholders of the community.

Tony B: It's a nice little family owned shop with a wide selection of quality products; issue is that I've gotten 3 guitars setup here and all 3 of them have buzzed when I got them home. One so badly that I couldn't overcome it and had to bring it back. Maybe they are taking on too many jobs and the tech is trying to crank them out too quickly, but $60ish for a setup that I then have to fix is a dealbreaker for me.

Sketches for you: I was going to buy a bass guitar here, but the lady wouldn’t let me try out any of them, even though there was no one else in there, AND I had brought my headphones. What’s more is that she wasn’t busy at the moment. I ended up going over to Mr. Music in Allston to get a bass and bass amp from there.
César Rincón Mayorga: I love this place. They've got a whole bunch of Fender instruments. The people who tends you here are extremely nice, and they know their products. I got lucky there was a 75th anniversary Fender Telecaster on sale and, well, I bought it.5/5.
Thomas J: Hands down the best place to go for Fender. Huge selection. Just bought an excellent Professional Strat to go with the Performer Tele I bought here a few months ago. Tried a bunch of guitars and they have everything you could want up and down the line. Very patient with me on both experiences and I am VERY picky. Go to some other shops, try them as I did, you will return to Guitar Stop. Ten stars!
Robert Goodwinr: Cozy place with lots of great stuff inside, including lefty players which is what attracted me being a left handed player. This is a family owned place from what I gather, and everyone that i've met here has been very nice to me. So, not sure why there's negative reviews posted here. One of the guitars i bought kept fret buzzing, brought it back weeks later and turned out to be a bad neck, exchanged no problem. Restrung one of my guitars right in front of me, set action, intonation and left within that hour of arriving. *****JEAN - I just wanted to say a big Thank You for adjusting the bridge on my Strat the other day! iZyxel: Really enjoyed my experience there! The staff were really nice. The pickups on the bass I bought were a bit loose but that's alright, probably came loose on the way home, which I can fix.

Alex C: Cool store! They have a great selection of vinyl, mostly punk/metal/hardcore, which can be hard to find. They also had a selection of printed materials, and I love 'zines! I plan to stop in whenever I'm in the area.They required masks, but that is no big deal.

Usman Khaliq: This is an awesome store for metal and hardcore music vinyls! They have a really cool collection, and I always end up spending a long time perusing through their collection. The records are very decently priced and you will often find some really hidden gems at great prices. Shop local, and support these folks!

The 3D Print Zone: My friend and I went into this shop and were disrespected by the guy who works there (not sure if he's the owner). Highly negative attitude, not sure what that guy's deal is. I would recommend finding another guitar shop where they treat their customers with respect.
Kevin Stillerman: FIND ANOTHER GUITAR SHOP! Wish I could leave a 0 star rating. The owner of the store was extremely rude and disparaging. His tone is very condescending when I asked him about how to wire my guitar. In addition the overall pricing at the store is very high including hourly rates. I encourage you to bring your business elsewhere, there are plenty of other guitar shops in the area.
