Little River: what do users think?

Angela VC: Lovely park and the part along the Fitchburg cutoff bike path has a nice series of boardwalks over the water. Beautiful and relaxing. It is NEARLY fully accessible but some of the connections between sand paths and boardwalks are rough. The sand paths have sunk leading to ledges that were difficult to get my mobility scooter over.
Luz María Molina: Lindo lugar para pasear y tener un momento de silencio a pasos del metro Alewife.

K N: GREAT SPOT!!!!!!!!!
Eduardo Mace: Good trail with a quite large meadow beside this Pine Allee.
Dan Brosgol: What a GEM of a place. 2.8 mile hike through spectacular pine groves, meadows, and trails. Breathtakingly beautiful. Even saw a red-tailed hawk slowly eating a snake up on a tree limb. Highly recommended.

Drew Smith: A great little escape into the woods.

Tony And Ed: Beautiful place. Worth the trip
Marc Estes: Beautiful spot for hiking and birding
Nancy W: 我为日出而惊叹!美到无法用语言来表达。
Leslie Mercier: Lovely casual walk through a mix of open and wooded areas (depending on your route). The parking lot is small and was very busy during my visit but worth the wait. The tower offers a wonderful viewing angle of the water.Restrooms: Restrooms are porter potty style, and were clean during my visit.
Scott Qi: You may put on suit shoes.
Mark Alston-Follansbee: Except for the fact the photographers got a ban on dogs this is a great walk with birds and big sky
Zack Chen: The is the best place for wildlife and bird watching and photography near Boston. Especially during spring and fall, you get to see lots of wildlife activities, including many beautiful small birds. In winter you may see some predatory birds, such as hawks and eagles.
Alison Hui: Lots of wildlife, comes alive esp when it rainsRestrooms: Porta potty
Derek Rodenbeck: I love coming here! Few things you should know before coming below:1. No dogs allowed, sorry!2. There is a automated fee station. Seems to be 4 dollars per car, there were other fee options for seniors, people with passes, and military.3. The entry is a little hard to find given it is nested between two houses. You will drive down a single lane road. Be prepared for oncoming cars coming out.4. Parking is limited.Something about this place is such a stress reliever. A perfect place to come on a solo walk or run, or bring the family. There is a small tower you can climb to overlook the water. Well worth the visits. Highly recommend on a sunrise or sunset.
Charles I: Beautiful late afternoon walk around the marsh. Parking was a challenge, but only required a few minutes of waiting. Portable restroom available.

Bill: Beautiful and well maintained, please help to keep it clean
Paw Pol Bos: Plagued by mosquito in the summer, quiet in the winter if you don’t mind some unleashed dogs being walked there.
kaku mian: Great place for the wild life to hide, specially the coyotes that have eaten the local raccoon population.
Ashley Lorenz: Took me 10+ years living in Arlington to know this place existed and it's lovely! Beautiful in any season, even fall and winter. Great for mountain biking too.
stanley chung: We biked up and did a quick hike around the Meadows in search of fall colors. Not as easy as we thought to get really good pictures of the meadow as the vegetation is pretty tall.Nice easy hike though that we thoroughly enjoyed. Bike parking is limited and we got lucky someone was leaving.
Te Liu: 2021-10-12 5*, nice place to hike. convenient access with bicycle.2021-06 3*, Didn't go in. The parking near the AGM Trail/nursing home is no longer there.
Ed Holden: Been biking here for years, since it's attached to the Minute Man Commuter Bikeway, but it's a wonderful hiking area with lots of wetlands and trails with boardwalks.
Roy Shilkrot: Very nice park, but we had a TON of mosquitoes and got bitten pretty hard. Take some insect repellent when you go out there. We saw a turtle basking, a spider that stand on the water and some very nice trees and bushes. The boardwalk is good shape and lets you walk on the marsh land. We saw a few dogs, but one person was riding an electric bike on the walk paths which was not cool.
Dmitriy Ivkov: Long not particularly interesting xc biking
Steve Mathieu: A great place to view the mosquitoes!
Ross W: Beautiful park, but we had to run out of the park as there was a coyote following us. Be careful, we spotted the coyote on July 11th on the west side of the park near Circle Rd.
Carol Szabo: A regular trail. Nice board walk. Come prepared for mosquitoes at this time of the year.
Kerry Reilly: Grew up there, never knew this existed! Discovered yet another new facet of the bike path!
Nancy Gardner: A fifteen minute walk to a world of untrammeled nature. Except for small gifts like this found along the way.
J Garrett: Nice varied trails in the woods
Jonathan Millman: Stunning wetlands. Well marked trails. Dog friendly.

There is a big map of all the trails at the parking lot so next time I'll just take a photo. There is a bathroom available for public us, there is no playground. Pets are not allowed on the trails. There are a couple of locations with picnic tables for public use. There is also a community garden you can be a member of. Over all it's a great place to enjoy nature.

Mass Audubon's Habitat Education Center and Wildlife Sanctuary: what do users think?
Eric Mankin: Look out for the owls, which are nesting close to one of the trails. Habitat staff will be happy to give you directions. They are most active at dusk. This is March 2023.
Eric Maurice Levesque: A nice nature habitat right outside of Boston. The trails were easy to walk, especially if you have toddlers or babies. The trails were well marked and easy to follow, not much in the way of birds in mid February, but the kids and I saw three deer on the property. The goats were in the barn till spring, but overall a nice place for a walk. They don't allow biking or pets on the property. But for the older crowd they do have nice restrooms. I'll definitely be bringing the kids back in warmer weather.Restrooms: Nice and clean, showing some age, but better than porta potties.Picnic area: There were plenty of picnic tables, but I went out of season so I can't say more.
Duke Briscoe: A small suburban wildlife area (87 acres?), but big enough with a variety of trails so there are a few routes for slow one hour walks. Connects to the Western Greenway trail. I heard a great horned owl near sunset on this snow covered January day. Someone said she saw 2 of them flying together, near the visitor center. Also got to see and smell the goats in their small building.Restrooms: Restrooms in visitor center building.
Paul Griffin: Great place. Deer came to greet us on our walk to see an owl.
Jack Ross: A good wildlife sanctuary that will have everything you're looking for; it's very close if you live in/around Arlington.
Nan Driscoll: The estate, goats, wild deer, herb gardens, and all the beautiful walking trails are absolutely breathtaking and serene
Nidhi Sagar: Visited on WeekendMore
Elizabeth B: Such a neat place. The old estate is fascinating to check out, and the trails are peaceful and lovely.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Price for adult entry Free …More
Kathleen “Kayta” Gajdos: Great oasis of care for the environment
Thomas Grayson: For years, I went to a summer camp here with my sister, an adventurous week full of winding trails, goats, and hiking. The consulers gave us riddles at lunchtime, we got to vote on our group names (a name I came up with, the Pouncing Panthers, was the winner the last year I went), and the schedule, formatting, and activities evolved as we got older. It was my favorite. I still wish I could go there this July.
mohd muneer: One of the most beautiful kid friendly nature walk in Boston area.
John Schairer: I felt like they had a bit of a pro-duck bias that was hard for me to overlook.
Stephen Bae: Nice place for a stroll. I saw a deer today.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait …More
Daniel Wendel: We visited on a Tuesday afternoon, and it felt like we had stepped into a remote wilderness by ourselves. It was beautiful and peaceful, and we saw at least 10 species of birds and a pair of deer as we walked around Turtle Pond. It was a little strange to hear the students on the neighboring athletic field, as if a tear in the fabric of spacetime has somehow inserted a fancy, modern athletic center inside an ancient forest. In reality the Habitat is the impostor, a patch of wilderness surrounded by suburb, but it really does still feel wild and unspoiled, particularly during midweek hours.Note: the walking trails are free, but the education center requires a small per-person fee or Mass Audubon membership.
Michael Weindling: Hiking!!!
Lucy Shubert: Cute goats, awesome trails.
MacGoreth: lovely place
Angelina Schultz: I have been going to the Habitat for years. It use to be a wonderful place to walk with family but not so much now. First they forbid dogs - that’s a shame but if people aren’t keep dogs on leash or if It’s to protect the goats then I get that. But then there’s been five instances where the people working there has been unfriendly or downright rude. In this last instance I was told I could not bring my child up to the fence to look at the goats because they needed to preserve the meadow. Except I was on the path that the goats take daily to get in and out of the fenced area. I was holding my child so there was no way my child was causing a disruption. Her instructions did not make any sense. How can this be a child friendly place when they won’t let the children look at the goats? No wonder the outdoor school there is having trouble. I’ll be considering other places to take my child for a nature walk now.
Nicole Smith: My friends son came to help with a service project and I picked him up. This oasis is tucked into a lovely Belmont neighborhood and the section we went to feels completely removed from the busy city nearby. There is a small pond that had ducks swimming in it when we strolled around. There are two paths, one that goes directly to Week's Pond and one that winds up the hill and drops back down on the far side of the pond.
Barbara Miranda: It is lovely this time if year.
Nick Felker: This park in Belmont provides a great green space for the local residents. There is also a number of wild animals for you to watch. While I did not manage to see turtle pond, it was a great activity for this point in the season, where leaves are beginning to fall but it isn't too cold.
