Reservoir Church: what do users think?
Ben Havens: A secular, humanist church not a Christian one. Very liberal, woke, culture and mindset. An antagonistic attitude by the staff and credo toward mainstream Christian belief ( Blue Ocean faith). During the sermon, no pew bibles to cross reference what is being said. Scripture is cherry picked from the Bible, handed out on a piece of paper and often interpreted out of context in favor of radical social issues, such as Black Lives Matter or LGBT advocacy. In this church, racial diversity is held in higher regard over spiritual salvation; race over soul. In addition, sermons are often about using Jesus to get what you want in life rather than humbling yourself to Jesus for divine direction. The church dropped it's original name, Greater Boston Vineyard Church and affiliation with Vineyard USA for its new name, Reservoir Church, for LGBT, woke advocacy, woman in leadership and not requiring pastors to have a seminary degree.
Marie Burns: This church is NOT a Christian church. My family used to attend this church regularly for years and loved it. It’s been a while since we’ve been, and it was so disheartening to experience a speaker today saying “we don’t go to heaven, but instead go to another earth” and Christians live in duality, while Jesus is not what we actually believe. We fully respect other cultures and their practices, but did not expect a sermon not worshiping God and Jesus.
Jeremy Tyler: I just want to say, as a long time member of this church I've felt comfortable asking questions here that I haven't been able to ask at other churches I grew up in. Nobody is hostile here when trying understand what it means to follow Jesus. And I think it's refreshing, and a brave thing to do. To be open and welcoming and not be afraid to answer difficult questions, even if that answer is "I don't know."Everyone I've met here I can tell loves God, despite hurtful experiences in the past. And I think that's incredibly valuable and underrated in today's climate.
susan hyland: I went to church Sunday Dec 8th and Dec 15th 2019, and i got prayer at the end of the Service, i asked if the prayer team could pray for me and a man named Eduardo, came over to me a few minutes later when i was sitting down on a chair, he prayed for my health, and i feel much better actually, i was tired all the time, and i had eczema on both hands, it has cleared up a lot, it was cracked and very red, it has stopped hurting me so much, and i am putting cream on it still, but in 10 days time since i got prayer it is MUCH BETTER..... You can get healed in the name of Jesus, just ask for prayer, and God can heal you through the prayer ministry....... Thank you It is now October 14, 2022 NO More eczema completely gone. God Bless ppl
Matthew Podniesinski: Beautiful church, great community.
D and P B: I love being part of this vibrant, inclusive, proactive church. Even during this period of remote services, connection continues, through “Virch”, through our community groups (mostly via Zoom; a few have started meeting in person with social distancing and masks), and through a variety of additional events. I am also excited to visit the “meditation stations” that have just gone up! Even during this challenging, often very isolating time, I have found heart, connection, and God here. I CAN NOT WAIT to be with everyone in person again!
Alicia Bella: Big place, nice message. Comfortable. Friendly and inspiring. If u want to dodge the meet and greet it’s easy to sneak out if u leave a few seconds before the service ends. On other hand, a great and positive place to be if u want to meet people that are nice and spiritually oriented.
ilona maki: open and affirming
Noah Pestana: Very welcoming, progressive church
Katrina Black: This church became my new home after I moved up to Cambridge for law school. I come from an evangelical (charismatic) background and my work is in social justice (currently refugee/immigration law). Every time I move to a new city, it's difficult to find a new church. Social justice churches tend to lack a passion for the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit-filled churches tend to lack a passion for Social Justice. I always feel spiritually homeless. Reservoir does both really well. They have a passion for prayer, worship, healing (mystical side of God) and they are active players in justice work in Boston & the world. More important than anything, they are an extremely loving, welcoming, and authentic community. I've been in churches that do both justice and worship well, but not community. No fun. Reservoir is a family of quirky amazing friends you can't get enough of. Everyone really, truly (I say from experience) cares about you. Come here!
Grant Eastman: I love being part of this community. "Genuine" is the word that I think describes the personality of this church community best. People are genuine in their love of Jesus. They are genuine with admitting doubts about their faith and God. They are genuine in accepting newcomers, visitors, neighbors and friends exactly the way they already are. This is a great place to explore faith, find and thrive with God, and connect in a rich community.
Morenike Adetula: Friendly and welcoming community of Jesus believers. Steve's sermons/talks are engaging and he and the pastoral staff have a way of making biblical principles applicable to the 21st century. Plus, great live band and free bagels & coffee every week!
Cara Hins: Reservoir does church like I´ve never seen before. It is a truly community- focused, everyone-is-welcome-at-the-table, relevant and fun place. It is a great experience for life-time church goers and first-timers alike!
Chris Tolles: Church community is hard to do well, and Reservoir accomplishes a deft balancing act of being welcoming, helpful, and growth-inspiring to folks with longtime church experiences and those with none.My wife and I have been coming here for 8 years and we're sold-out for Reservoir's positive engagement with secular culture, diversity, and welcoming stance to many who may feel out of place at traditional churches in the area (ourselves included).Disclosure: My wife liked being a part of Reservoir so much, she left teaching to go on pastoral staff almost three years ago! But if this church sucked, I would tell you even if my wife worked there. Most importantly, free bagels and coffee.
Justin Brown: A great church with great people
zina saadi: Church with virgin Marry statue
Andre J: Contemporary, non-denominational church that fully embraced my family for 3 years in Cambridge. The Senior Pastor, Steve Watson, and others from the ministry team consistently prepared a thoughtful and challenging message of faith. We enjoyed the many people and families that became part of our lives. Our kids loved the children's ministry and looked forward to church. My family's faith grew tremendously at Reservoir! We truly miss the folks there.
Mary D.: A gathering of humble givers gathering often and much to worship God and to share with our neighbors to foster Community; This Is Us.
david brown: Please tell me you did not strip out this beautiful church. As a kid I would visit pray and admire the church. So sad to see what has happened to that area.

Light of Life Church: what do users think?
Flora Iton: If you are looking for a church which is all about preaching the true Word of God from the Bible, and taking care of the community, this is it. Congregation is culturally and generationally diverse but definitely all close as family. You can be real, ask questions, and get involved. Pastors will make time to speak to you personally. You will be seen, heard, appreciated, supported and prayed over. This is definitely a church that shows the love of God in words and in deed. All are welcome.
Savannah: Glad we found this church! We were looking for a like-minded bible church while visiting the area and only found this one. We were greeted by a friendly community, beautiful worship music and an encouraging message! Thank you for being hospitable Light of Life church. God bless your ministry!
Kathleen Barnette: Bible preaching church !
Faith Pan: This Church is absolutely amazing! Do not be interested by our size because it is growing everyday! It is one of the most diverse churches I have ever been to. I just walked in and knew this was the place to be. It is beautiful seeing how God transforms people's lives in person and feel like I am truly part of a community, another family!
