Occupational Safety & Health Administration: what do users think?
Aidan Murphy: People are so mean and unkind. OSHA should be abolished along with all other safety precautions.
Andy Doucette: Without warning the water to my workplace was interrupted. The bathrooms, eyewash stations and safety showers became non-functional, immediately turning my lab into a hazardous work environment. Whomever works the phones was completely unconcerned with the safety of me and my coworkers.
sandra lundgren: I nearly died from legionnaires disease. Fewer than 5% of people that come in contact with the bacteria actually contract this disease.(according to OSHA), yet they asked us repeatedly if anyone else got sick. I was one of 11 employees present which makes me nearly 10%. We requested water sampling, the morning after diagnosis, as we have 3 doctors connecting cause and relation. There was an industrial accident at my job just days prior, emitting thick vision impairing vapor due to a compressor malfunction. OSHA did nothing and closed any investigation based on an independent air quality report, 2 weeks after diagnosis, that clearly recommends sampling if an employee has been diagnosed with legionnaires disease. This put many lives at risk as this gave time for cover up, which we can prove, as hot steam was blowing in workers faces as the employer vigorously heated up the system to rid the bacteria, before i could receive a sample. Employer denied access to building and denied sampling. I made OSHA aware of other severe violation that exists today that could kill somebody, over 2 months ago. Still employers are at risk, and no action taking. This agency did not protect this worker by any means, only participated in the spoliation of evidence in our opinion. Very dissatisfied and still looking for answers 16 months later and repeatedly lied to!!!!

Tracey Giles: My first time going to IHI conference and had such a fantastic experience. So many great speakers, topics and engaging workshops. Carolyne Malingu: When I joined my current department (Quality Healthcare) I had zero knowledge on improvement. IHI through open school and Fellowship has and is helping me run improvement projects to completion. We have tangible success stories of process improvement hence better services. Thank you IHI

SHARI KUTHER: The conferences are always very educational and valuable!! My review today though is of their customer service staff. I had been working with 1 member of their team, and she ended up being out of the office as my problem came up. Willy stepped in, answered my email, answered my MANY questions, and then followed up after the fact to make sure all my needs were met. He even went the extra mile, and followed up one additional time to make sure again, that all of the pieces he said would fall into place had. What a great company and a great customer service team they have. Never been disappointed!
Mike Taigman: I've been a fan....some might say "groupie" of IHI for 28+ years. I've attended all of the National Forums, completed the IA program (Wave 19), participated in dozens of webinars, and dozens of other IHI programs. The content they provide is the focus of my professional life and we do use some of it at home. The people who work at IHI and the professionals they attract to their programs are uniformly kind, generous with their knowledge, curious about all kinds of things, and passionately focused on making the world a healthier happier place.
Kim: I am a new subscriber of IHI and have nothing but praise for all the wonderful help I've received learning about the different resources that are available to me. Thank you for the work you do to help improve healthcare !

linda chemtai: IHI open school is easy to navigate through, its modules are well thought through, easy to do and covers a great deal on quality improvement. What you learn from the course will not only help you improve quality at an institution but at personal level too.
Sinthia Alcine: I was able to take the leadership and organizing for change course with IHI, which allowed me to gain new insights into the various ways and techniques that can be used to improve the quality of health in the Haitian health system. The ability to perform team work with the snowflake method is one of the elements that have struck me the most and that in practice will help me on a professional level. For those who want to know how they can make changes in different structures (hospital, health center, clinics and other) of health in which they live, I recommend you to register on IHI. With the various techniques learned, you can participate in improving the quality of the services provided in your locality as well as improving the health system in general.
Kim Dahdal: IHI never ceases to amaze me! By far the best tools, programs and resources available for quality improvement projects/advancement in quality and safety. IHI's Mentors helped me to review my organizational project, identify areas of weakness/potentials for growth, to deliver results and foster the success of my project. Thank you IHI!
