MaryJo Dwyer: There is no better pain specialist in Boston. I have worked with and been treated by Dr. Gerges during the two decades before I retired (2015) to present . He is an empathetic, brilliant man who has the best (most precise) hands I have ever witnessed (better than a lot of surgeons I’ve seen) and cares deeply about his patients and the pain center staff/residents/fellows. I’ve known him since his first year as an anesthesiology resident. Even then he was above average in every way.Thank you for asking my opinion of this superb physician.
MaMaDuKeZ Correa: Dr Gerges was attentive to my questions and was helpful and knowledgeable of where my pain originated. Prescribed accordingly my needs to help elevate my pain.
Susan Durkee: I’ve been going to St Elizabeth’s pain center for 12 yrs! I can say that the people at the pain center are incredible! They know what they are doing and wouldn’t think about leaving
Darrah Russell: The doctors are knowledgeable but this is just my first visit. I will let you know after my procedure is done.
Courtney Tapley: Everyone is so kind and efficient. Thank you -Joanne burrill

Myofascial Pain Treatment Center: what do users think?
Marcy White: Erika Bourne is an extremely kind, compassionate and skilled practitioner. I cannot say enough about the relief I have achieved from her treatments. I have a very complicated case and she has spent a great amount of time listening to my whole health history and putting together a treatment plan. I have had numerous injuries and accidents that have caused me to have severe, and at times very debilitating pain. After 20 years of trying massage, acupuncture, and chiropractic it all caught up with me in January 2020 and I was unable to get out of bed, walk or leave the house for 2-3 weeks. The pain was that severe. Once I started treatments with Erika I was like a new person. I have been to see her numerous times and it is a process, but I am already feeling significantly less pain, greater range of motion and I am able to exercise again for the first time in 5 years. I am actually having days where I have no pain which is something I have not been able to say for two decades.
hans gruber: I'm glad that she has helped people but she put me in disabling pain years ago her nails were digging into my shoulders and the dry needling went horribly wrong that's caused limited side to side up and down motion in my neck
P.M. C.W.: I could not be happier with Erika as a practitioner. She is not only highly skilled at what she does but she is an excellent listener and very compassionate. Initially I went to Erika for a tennis elbow condition that persisted over one year. I had tried treating it through all the normal modalities without any effect. It took a few sessions of working on it as would be expected but now I can say I'm just about back to baseline and happy about it!However, the best part was that I have had chronic left upper leg/ hip pain for 4 years that I did not expect her to be able to do anything about. however, because she is very thorough we ended up exploring this. I had had multiple x-rays, chiropractic work, etc., but nothing had helped. Erika acts somewhat like a Sherlock Holmes, she is just so interested in figuring out what's going on, she is always very thoughtful and curious in her quest to help me. Although my pain is not 100% resolved, the pain is greatly reduced and I'm not finding myself thinking about my hip constantly. I don't have to constantly think about my movements and if the hip pain is going to wake me at night. I'm very grateful to her for this.I cannot recommend this practitioner enough.
Teri LaBrie: Erika was the only medical professional who was able to alleviate my husbands neck/shoulder/arm pain that was so extreme he would have been happy to amputate his arm. He finally agreed to see Erika after ER docs, orthopods, and chiropractors tossed out diagnoses they had no great options for. 3 visits to Erika in the space of a week took care of my husbands pain and he has not had this issue since. That was 13 years ago. I recommended her to him based on my own 5 star experience where she successfully treated trigger points after I had gone down the traditional "you have rotator cuff tendinitis and need months of physical therapy" as prescribed by my PCP. I recommend her to all my racquetball playing friends complaining of shoulder and arm pain.
