Sure I understand that a pawnshop business needs to increase the margin to pay your already underpaid staff and other op costs, but a 60% markdown from the retail price? And then you could sell at $200 for a 100% profit? Good try.

Nick Best: I went to cash point for the first time today to get an estimate on some of my old gold jewelry. They asked me the regular question to see if my items were truly mine. After testing the jewelry I was told that all of my jewelry was fake or gold plated. This also includes a Michael Kors Dylan watch that i still have the receipt for. After leaving I went to the local Jewelry store less than three minutes away to see if I can have my things tested again. All of items were tested and came back 14k gold and 14k white gold with great estimates for each piece. I was very upset about this but I was told this happens all the time and some people end up selling their jewelry for almost nothing.

Well you can but you don’t really know what you may get. I called up yesterday and talked with the owner Boris about the situation that I was in and that I couldn’t leave the house. He took the time out of his busy day to send me pictures of rings in the display case that were in my search criteria. With his help we were able to pick out my favorite 3 and then make a decision from there. Most people wouldn’t have taken the time to take pictures and send them to someone. I was able to find the perfect ring for my gf. Now your gonna ask how did I get it from the store. The owner drove to my house and brought it to me. This is unheard of, I’ve never known anyone that would have done that. He took time out of his day so that my gf and I would have a very special Christmas together. There is nothing more than you could every ask for. So if your looking for something special and you want to work with a true professional and just down right good person than come to this place. You will not be disappointed.

I was told a sibling came in without the tickets with death certificate, and they allowed her to take everything, No questions asked. They are unethical, insensitive, and rude. Called to make general inquiry for police report, again rude! Essentially, their policy can change when they see $$$. I would never do business with them and I'm sad that my mother felt she had to. They are clearly positioned to prey on the poor and desperate. No class and certainly no respect for families trying to maintain a connection with their lost loved ones. Sad.
