Sara Kamouni: Unreservedly recommend Kassandra's pet sitting services! Kassandra is super responsive, so booking was very easy. On top of that, she is an experienced, thorough and thoughtful pet sitter, and it was a relief to know our cat was in safe hands. We especially appreciated Kassandra's daily updates and videos— she went above and beyond to communicate with us. Michelle Fraser: Our lab, Juno, couldn’t be any happier on her hikes with Kassandra. Once she hears the text alert in the morning, she goes and waits at the door, eager for the arrival. Our dog is usually very nervous around new people, so we knew she would be in good hands once we saw how comfortable she was from day 1. Kassandra took the time to come and met Juno before starting the hikes, and her communication is top notch. We love getting the group pictures of the pups off on their adventure. Evan Hempel: Kassandra is by far the best dog care person (walker/sitter) I’ve ever had, and I’ve had dogs for 20+ years and done rescue and aggressive dog rehabilitation work myself.We have two older pit bulls who don’t get along with other dogs. Kassandra handles them beautifully and in four years there’s never once been a problem. At first I was nervous and she happily walked them one at a time until I was confident and ready for her to walk them together.She’s an excellent worker and just about always available to us, even with last minute requests. She was essential in helping us out when our kids were born, being on call to walk and care for the dogs when labor started.Kassandra is respectful and excellent at communication. If we are home, she is remarkably quiet coming into and out of the house. With COVID-19 in play, we talked through the necessary precautions. She comes in and minimizes what she touches, always wearing a mask and hand sanitizing before and after.Overall, we as so glad to have this woman in our lives. We have passed her name to many friends and would highly recommend her.
Brittany Cooley: Kassandra has been so amazing to our dog, Indie. We rescued Indie last October and wanted to get her in group hikes right away, but we weren’t sure how she’d do since we were still learning her temperament. Kassandra took the time to come over and take her for a one-on-one walk to get to know her ahead of time before taking her out on the group hikes. Indie has been going on weekly hikes with Kassandra ever since and sleeps away the afternoon after a day out with Kassandra! Kassandra is both communicative and reliable whenever she has our girl and we trust her completely. Would highly recommend her to anyone!!!

Victoria Krinsky: We first contacted Matt and Jennifer when our senior dog, Sonny, was experiencing separation anxiety during the day, and subsequently disturbing our neighbors with his ongoing barking. We thought it might be good to get him out and about, and Matt was up to the task of taking him for daily walks. He adapted to walking Sonny, who was blind and deaf. He gave him lots of love and treats, and without judgement, kindly tolerated Sonny's stubbornness and mindless pacing around the driveway. He also miraculously won over our cat, Mario, who's a bit moody.He and Jennifer offered their support as Sonny aged. After about a year together, at the age of 15, Sonny was diagnosed with cancer, and Matt and Jennifer offered endless resources, sent us daily updates, and connected us to an amazing palliative care veterinarian and animal acupuncturist. At the end, when walking grew difficult for Sonny, Matt would come and visit, and still administered his pain medication. Deluxe Pet Care will not let you down, and they will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
KO Goldenoak: Jennifer at Deluxe Pet Care is amazing. We have an older cat with a number of health issues, who needs several daily medications and subcutaneous fluids every other day... far beyond what we’d feel comfortable asking a friend or neighbor to handle while we’re away. Jennifer has the training and background to handle everything smoothly, and we feel our pets are in great hands with her.She spends time with our cats when she visits; it’s much more than just a quick in/out feeding. And she sends us periodic updates with photos of our cats having a great time playing with her and getting silly on catnip.Jennifer has also been great with our turtle, who has also had some additional health needs recently. She is responsible, communicative, and deeply cares about the well-being of the critters she’s caring for. I highly recommend her!
Michelle Anders: Jennifer is wonderful. She takes incredible care of my Sunny and Kisa and is like family to them. Sunny can be a bit grumpy and has to have three medications a day day. Jennifer isn't daunted and always comes with a positive attitude and so much love and care. I am a bit of a nervous cat Mom, but when Jennifer is available to visit Sunny and Kisa I can relax as I know that they are in the best hands. She is always calm, and as interested in their well being and happiness as I am. I am so lucky to have Deluxe Pet Care and Jennifer in my life! (PS Sunny is sitting right next to me while I write this review and he approves!)

Joy Fletcher: Jennifer from Deluxe Pet Care is just what her business name implies...Deluxe!! Jennifer took care of our two cats, one with diabetes, for over a year while we lived in the Boston area. The cats immediately took to her and did extremely well under her care. Our diabetic cat requires insulin injections every 12 hours and Jennifer maintained his schedule perfectly, which is no small task! Our cats are part of our family and we are extremely protective over them, but we never had to worry at all when she was taking care of them. She is very knowledgeable and is great about communicating as needed. I would highly recommend Jennifer for all of your pet sitting needs. She is smart, professional, caring, and clearly loves her job.

Angela Cunningham: Tried to reach out by phone and several times over email to see about getting my dog in daycare, but no one has returned my inquiries.
Leanne Dwyer: I was pleased with Elliot's House services at first - the online system was easy to use and the phone Meet & Greet was detailed and professional.However, I scheduled 3 visits - a Friday evening, Saturday morning, and Saturday evening - but no one came on the Saturday evening...One of my cats takes medication in the evening for a heart condition, and luckily he is okay, but I won't be using Elliot's House service again. I can't risk my cat's health.

Michael Johnston: This is a picture of a very tired cattle dog and it is very hard to get a cattle dog tired but everyday that she attends daycare at Elliot's House in Somerville, she comes home just like this, TIRED! Every day that we pull up out front, she goes crazy, she loves this place and she loves the people that work here. The staff are such wonderful people and really seem to enjoy the animals and their job. I love the Instagram photos that they post throughout the day and my wife and I love to sit and watch them when we get home and boy do we laugh. So creative. I was really nervous about leaving my pup someplace and checked out a lot of places and am very glad we landed here. If you are out there looking for a quality day care provider for your pup/dog, here it is!!!!!

The dogs always come back from boarding exhausted and happy. And Elliot's House has gone above and beyond to help us in other situations, like stopping by to check on things when we were out of town. Ali Jackson: Elliot's House goes above and beyond to help their customers! We used them all the time when we lived in Somerville, and missed them when we moved out to the suburbs. We hadn't been to them in a while, but when we were in a last minute bind for boarding, they bent over backwards to help us, taking our dog super last minute and accommodating our pick up drop off requests. Would definitely recommend!

KEMS Com: $140 for pet grooming service on a standard poodle when the quote was $130. Pick up and drop off service I wasn't aware of until the night before. I would have rather dropped him off so I could meet the groomer and see the facilities. My dog is afraid of crates but none of the employees told me he would be created most of the time. He came back looking like a labradoodle and not a standard poodle cut.Would not recommend this grooming service for a large dog. I used the dog walking service and it was ok.

My dog went for a "trial boarding" then they tried to charge me and say that my dog was not fit for their program because he dug a hole in their apparently amazing 7000 sq foot outdoor area where dogs can play and be dogs...

The dog walkers always send the sweetest text updates (with photos!) - it's so comforting to receive them at work, knowing George is being taken care of and having a blast.The staff is absolutely lovely, and Valerie - who I've corresponded with multiple times, sometimes to cancel dog walks last minute - is incredibly kind and helpful.One of my favorite aspects of Elliot's House is how easy it is to set up a dog walk (or any other service you might need). Once you create an account, you can easily set it up on their website. They even have a calendar set up so you can see who's walking your dog on what day and time.I would highly recommend checking out Elliot House! They're trustworthy, responsive, accommodating - what more do you need?

Erika Tsutsumi: Most likely, Carly at West End Walkers literally saved our dogs life. He got into the trash while we were at work and ate something moldy and apparently, poisonous, and because she came by to walk him, found him hiding and realized he was sick, she let us know and we were able to get him to the vet quickly (he made a full recovery!)Otherwise, we have him doing walks 3 times a week so he gets socialization with other dogs, and he loves it. He's also so much more willing to sit for a photo with the walkers than with us...maybe they just have the good treats, who knows.
Michael Grant: Couldn't have asked for a better dog walker. WEW comes twice a day, three times a week to walk our dog, Louis, and my Fiance and I are thrilled by how happy and excited he is to go. After every walk we are provided with every detail of what they did on the walk. They always take wonderful pictures of him playing with his friends, and where he explores. Carly is always super professional and communicative - and the walking staff is equally as great. Christina is super attentive to Magnus' GI challenges and his degree of socialization with other dogs. It is obvious to us how much Christina cares about Magnus, and he can hardly contain himself when he sees her car and then sees her get out and come to the door. Christina's daily reports on how Magnus did on his walks are detailed and helpful to us. Christina is also super diligent about protecting Magnus during walks in cold weather. The engagement ahead of time inquiring about needs for services during holidays and notifying us of anything that we ought to be aware of is much appreciated. Nancy Gold: I require intermittent pet sitting services when travelling and I honestly would not be able to travel were it not for the top quality care my dogs receive from Above and Beyond Pet Services. Each of our two dogs is high needs in their own way. I have a medically fragile older Dachshund, who is 14, a cancer survivor and suffers from multiple allergies. I also have a rescue Beagle who is extremely busy and exuberant, kind of like a giant squirrel. We recently went away for two weeks and the dogs benefitted from SUPERB care provided by Ian, Ray and Elise of Above and Beyond Pet Services. The best thing of all is that we are able to go away knowing that our dogs would get the care they needed and therefore we did not have to worry or be concerned about them! We received daily updates and when there was a question about their food, the office contacted me abroad to make sure everyone had what they needed! This agency has thought of everything and is extremely well-run. We rest easy knowing that they take our pets' well being as seriously as we do! Six stars!!

Jake Rother: Convenient locations and most staff seemed solid and caring however, other staff members seemed indifferent or not caring at all about dogs. Charged me $40 for 2 hours when the hourly sign clearly stated otherwise. Was told dogs were taken on walks and outside often however, upon picking my dogs up they clearly hadn't been out at all as they rushed to the nearest tree to pee as soon as possible. No pictures or updates on dogs and you can't even call the individual locations to get updates?We have been to various dog daycare places around the country with our 2 dogs. This has been our worst experience yet, will be looking elsewhere.
Elissa Harel Ryan: Staff here extremely unfriendly. Needed to come THREE times and PAY to have our dog approved. We have moved many times and our dog has been to many daycares - I fully agree with an interview process - but ONE is sufficient. Three is excessive and inconvenient. They are inflexible, not nice, and discourage the dogs from playing and barking. We went there once when we moved to the neighborhood, had a terrible experience and never went back in 4 years despite living around the corner. I have never had such a terrible doggie daycare experience.
Rob Winter: We used Boston Dog for daycare for almost a year, and their boarding service once. This was our experience:- No information given when we picked up our dog each day. No reports on behavior, or photos- They advertise being next to the park, and that each dog receives walks every day. I know for a fact that most dogs use the restroom in their play area, and are not taken outside- No training, whatsoever. Training is advertised here; however it was never offered- After a year, our dog had an “incident” and was “no longer welcome”, we tried and failed to receive a single report on what happened, and were denied any photo or video of the incident- During boarding, received zero updates or information whatsoever- Over one year, we saw the staff turn over 100% three times- The only positive here is the convenient location.

Jeansun Lee: I moved to East Cambridge about 6 months and felt very lucky at the time that Boston Dog Company was so close. Each of my experiences at this place has been pretty bad, unfortunately. When I first entered the store, I asked about their walking services and a staff member told me she didn't know and to go to the website - who does this!?!? TRAIN YOUR STAFF or at least put in the effort to learn what the company you work for offers. And another thing - this has happened to me so many times I can't even count - every time I went in to purchase treats for my dog the prices of the said treats would change drastically and different staff members would charge me different rates for the item. For example, I told staff that what she charged me $3.50 for a treat last week was suddenly marked $9.99. This is just one example - this happens far too often. I feel like the staff here are not trained well nor engaged with their work. To top it off, everyone is on a different page. I am super disappointed with this place, and I don't even board my dog here for daycare!

The staff is AMAZING and whenever I have any questions about food, exercise or even my dogs health they are always there to answer my questions. Vader my dog goes to daycare about 4 days a week and loves to play with all of the other dogs whether big or small. The play area is very well monitored and there is always someone in the pen with them, staff is always interacting with them, and adjusting to make sure that none of the dogs get hurt. I would highly recommend this day care to anyone who is looking for a safe, reliable place to send they're dog during the day.Like I said the staff is great they are all extremely knowledgeable about foods, treats, toys, vitamins and supplements, as well as many other products that they carry in store. They have a great selection of high quality food for both dogs and cats. They also offer boarding, and are extremely fairly priced. Staff here is great, they listen, answer all of your questions, and take pride in making sure all of the dogs are well taken care of

Guido Stein: I have been using Boston dog for a couple of months. I bring my poodle mix there at 7am and pick up around 6 pm. When my guy arrives there are smiles all around and he's happy as a clam right away. The few minutes after drop off, watching my guy greet the other dogs and staff fill me with great joy and pride.Anyhow, it's a great, clean, and friendly place where dogs play all day.I love that they post photos of dogs on Facebook daily.The cost is comparable to other places in the area with the same amenities.The location is very convenient for people commuting from Somerville to lynn.The staff is friendly, although setting up the initial interview required a little persistence on my part.I highly recommend this place.

Lauren: Nicole and Jake are the best it gets, and that's coming from a very picky cat mom who worships the cat-haired ground her little fur babies walk on! We found Urban Leash via Google on our mission to find a reputable, reliable pet-sitting service that didn't break the bank and also offered trustworthy pet care from trained and animal-loving (and experienced) staff. I've tried Rover in the past and can only compare it to a sketchy version of Uber for pet-sitting: not what's best when you're miles away from home and your little ones need reliable feedings and care time. We have since used Urban Leash for a week-long trip in January and a half-week trip in February, and will continue using their services for months and years to come, with 5 more 2019 trips planned; that's how blown-away and happy we are with just how well they treat our girls. The kitties are noticeably different and significantly happier having in-home care and love from Nicole and Jake, and the adorable text updates and pictures make our stays away VERY reassured and happy. They spend ample time playing with the girls, feeding them our requested diet, cleaning the litter box and even watering our plants when needed. My eldest cat ate one of our plants and had a bit of a vomit attack, and Nicole was quick to update me and clean as needed, without any hesitation. Truly cannot sing their praise enough, and just so happy that we found them and that they're in Back Bay. Nicole's MSPCA experience truly shows and you and your fur baby will be in great hands with this dedicated and loving team!

Having someone come to your home to take care of your pets by walking them, and even staying in your home while you’re away, is something we take very seriously. When we heard about Nicole from our neighbors, we also found out she volunteered at a local animal shelter. We have a friend that works at the same facility and she had great things to say about Nicole. Since then Nicole has stayed at our home while we traveled out of state and walks our dogs on a regular basis. I never have second thoughts or worries of any kind when Nicole is taking care of our dogs, I mean kids. Katherine Kelly: I needed a dog walker in Brighton for our new rescue and came across glowing reviews for Happy Pet Care. They are professional, super flexible, and really care about your pet. Mary is very easy to work with and very responsive. Our first meeting was with Jen and she was great with our dog and asked all the right questions. Sean was our main dog walker and he was so caring with our dog - she is 12 years old and he never got annoyed with how slow she needed to walk. The prices are very reasonable, especially for the level of quality care you get. We will greatly miss their services in the suburbs!
Kay Fontaine: Happy Pet Care has been my go to pet care service for 5 years. Mary has helped me with my 2 cats, then my dog, a second dog and a third dog all along. I've gotten potty breaks, walks, vacation care and runs for my pets over the years. My needs have changed over time and Mary has worked with me to adjust the schedule as needed. A few of my pups can be difficult, so Mary and her team of walkers has worked with me to help the dogs get adjusted. I always looked forward to the notes I got about the walks or potty breaks when I got home from work. When I went on vacation, I got nice notes from the cat sitters and Mary gave me updates on my pups. Mary always ensured my pets remained safe. For instance, my cats need to be separated from my dogs. Mary made sure that the instructions I left were strictly followed on the days we returned from vacations. There's so much more to say, but I can't fit it all here. I will end with this note. I have always trusted Mary and her employees and it was the best decision I could have made for my pets. Sadly, I had to say goodbye to Mary and Happy Pet Care as I moved all of us across the country. You can be sure you are making a great decision by choosing Happy Pet Care!

I absolutely love all the staff and would like to shout out Jen, Debra, Sarah, Christy, and most of all Mary for being the most kind and patient person ive met. Its truly an amazing experience being a customer as well as working here. Kelly Karakhanyan: We've been using Happy Pet Care for dog walks 2-3 times per week since we adopted our lab mix puppy (now over a year ago). Mary is always so responsive, kind and flexible - which is so important when you have a dog. There have been multiple occasions where we need to switch days, length of walks, or add on an additional walk. Mary has almost always been able to accommodate us! Our walker is mostly either Sophia, Jen, or Mary herself. My pup can be nervous around new people when her humans aren't around, and they have all been wonderfully patient with our pup. Thanks for helping us care for our fur baby!Updated review:It has now been 2.5 years using Happy Pet Care. We could not ask for a better, more reliable, patient, understanding, and kind dog walking service. We've had Mary, Sophia, Jen, Matt, and Debra walk our pup - and they've all been great. Mary is always very responsive, and easy to work with, even with last minute changes. Additionally, her prices have not gone up, while other services we use for our pup have. The dog walks are high quality with a great price, and a lot of flexibility (because life happens). We're sad that our pup won't have them for her mid day walks while we're at work after we move.

They are very flexible with late notice requests, and I appreciate the notes the staff leaves to let me know how the visit went. It always makes me happy to come home to see an update on how the friendship is progressing between Rabbert and her workers!
