From Karen, a veteran Pharmacist who I have known since I went to her at the Brighton CVS, to the new faces and friendly managers that literally help you with every need - this is truly a unique place. Almost a boutique experience for a CVS, with a great stock of groceries, pharmacy items, essentials, and also high end organic and Whole Foods level of nutritional Supplements but for a better price (think CBD lotion, Collagen Peptides protein, Energy Snacks, Organic meals, keto protein, MCT oil, protein bars, natural products, etc... And Yes, they have cleaning and sanitizing supplies to help against covid-19.Cleaning supplies and essentials:yes they have TP and Kleenex and Paper towels and Disinfectants and wipes, as well as hand sanitizer (name brand!), Face shields, masks, surgical masks, kid masks, and two entire sections dedicated to Pandemic essentials. Gloves, gowns, etc. All NAME BRANDS - very impressive.Not to mention the great deals, easy checkout (contactless or with a friendly helping hand), and NO LINES - they always have someone ready to assist. And now they are offering the Covid-19 Vaccine at this location!..Overall my favorite pharmacy in the Boston area, including suburbs, Brookline, Brighton, Fenway, Downtown Crossing, Watertown, etc.Stop in to check it out on your walk on Cambridge Street, or utilize their FREE parking for customers.

Sam Davis: One of the best businesses in Cambridge, hands-down. I am not exaggerating. They have helped me negotiate many very serious health crises over the years.Super friendly, incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely caring, with a fantastic sense humor. Not as good as mine, but close, lol, and that’s really saying something!Robert, Tom and Joseph and their staff are true members of the Cambridge community, absolutely “the real deal”. Nothing fake here.In my opinion, more stars are necessary!
Andrew Blom: Skenderian Apothecary is a real community resource. They're incredibly knowledgeable; I've been coming here for years and consistently get good advice about medications and treatments, sometimes better explained than what I get from doctors. They go the extra mile for a lot of older neighbors, too. There aren't many local businesses like this left; support them!

Firstname Lastname: My doctor sent a prescription over. My doctor told me that I might want to call them and see if it was covered under my insurance or if they took my insurance. I called there they didn't have my number so they asked me for my number and then proceeded to just throw my number away. So like a week later I'm like okay well you don't have my medicine in stock what's up like you know what's going on you had to order it and then they tell me oh well we didn't have your phone number so we couldn't get a hold of you. Oh you couldn't get a hold of me so you couldn't contact the doctor that was the prescribing doctor to say hey we don't have this patient's number to get a hold of them meanwhile the the medicine is being withheld from me and then when I called the first time when we discussed it whether my insurance was covering it or not they told me it was going to be $20 I go in there it's $45 twice as much. I don't recommend I mean if you're sick and you have a problem don't depend on them to get you your meds
David Spiegel: The sales person gave me the wrong size of cast cover and compression sock despite seeing the specific instructions from my doctor. Very poor experience.

Nick Giacobbe: I am very fortunate I do not have a lot of medical issues. I needed a specialty medical item a compression sleeve for someone's arm not as common as you would think many pharmacies do not want to supply them probably because of technical issues. Skenderian Pharmacy where Joseph Skenderian, helps me he was very knowledgeable took time to explain everything. In a time where medical professionals are rushing you through procedures and appointments outstanding to have someone that cares and sincerely wants to help you.
Mary Hassett: Such respect and given the opportunity to trust information with a medically informed group like this is worth the 'globally recognized' business description. Organize questions and the answers will be straight forward, honest and a helpful improvement towards wellness and recovery. Pharmaceutical answers, including surgeries, interactions and aides towards better physical quality of life, are found here . All ages are honored here. Shop here for some wellness aides, like cold packs, sleep neck and leg aides, heating pads, and the best items for handicapped family members. It' IS a find for the entire 'staying alive' community!!

I have heart and hypertension issues, and knowing that I have a pharmacy that looks out for my well-being is such a source of comfort- especially this year during the pandemic. I always feel comfortable if I have one of those uncomfortable questions to ask. They greet you with a smile they know your name it feels like going to see family every time I go. They go that extra mile for you. They also have a delivery service for those who might not be able to make to the pharmacy. They have everything COVID-19 for yourself and for themselves so there are no worries. Sometimes I get carried away with conversations with the staff that’s just how awesome they all are. Cheryl Marceau: I'm calling around to get a price for a compounded medication that Medicare doesn't cover. I have to pay out of pocket if I want this at all. They insisted they had to have my prescription in order to run it through my insurance company. I told them I've already had it declined by Medicare so I am going to pay cash, and I just want a price so I can compare. They insisted they had to have a prescription first. I'm not going to ask my doc to waste their time sending out prescriptions to every compounding pharmacy just to get a price. The pharmacy closest to where I live has already given me a price (without asking for a prescription). Other compounding pharmacies will provide pricing. Of course I'd send the prescription for them to fill it.....I just want a simple price. Which tells me they price the stuff depending on which insurance plan you have. That's so wrong, in so many ways. Not a chance I'd go to them now.

Charles Li: If only I could give negative star reviews. Never have been to a pharmacy with a prescription order sent 1 hour in advance and still have to wait half a day before the prescription is even "being verified". The medications are very common NSAIDs/pain-relief and anti-bacterial meds and should not take that long normally. Calling does not help because they do not answer any calls. Go to CVS instead..
Eliza Jane: Older store, set up of aisles and pharmacy is kind of awkward. They don't carry a lot of certain items that most other Walgreens do. Example: no prepaid cell phones+, etc.Needs updating and more easily navigated aisles and pharmacy

Lena Mirisola: Scheduled a booster 2 weeks in advance, went to the appointment, pharmacist said they were short staffed and "had lots of prescriptions to fill" and refused to give us our boosters, also citing "the process takes a long time" - for sure, the prep and paperwork for a 5 second shot must be super time consuming! We took work off for this appointment AND the next day, cool cool.CVS across the street is the way to go, always professional, always on time, the only reason I scheduled w/ Walgreens in the first place is because CVS was out of appointments. Don't waste your time :) thanks Walgreens!
PV G: Terrible manners in the pharmacy department
Sahana: This is by far the worst Walgreens I’ve been to - very understaffed and the one staff member I spoke to was extremely rude. I asked him a question and he completely dismissed me walking by me as if I hadn’t spoken. When I tried to catch his attention yet again by saying hello he just snapped out an “I can hear you”. I was baffled and upset by his behavior and response - I did not find what I was looking for where he said it would be and I was too anxious to go ask again. I left the store and took my business to the CVS across the road. Avoid this place and go elsewhere if possible.
Katherine Goulden: If they are out of stock of my rx, which is 9/10 times, I never get any notification so I show up for what I need, and end up having to skip days and miss work. When your store and pharmacy are garbage and poorly run it actually affects people’s health and their lives. Running a functioning pharmacy seems too difficult for any chain store n central square.When I had a problem not related to this inexcusable situation the manager was just some teenage boy who did everything in his power not to be helpful/surely get back to his Minecraft game. Badly run all-around.

Day Light: I was paying cash for an item for 5 dollars and the cashier insisted thatI touch the computer screen by the register. I refused since these screensare touched by thousands of people. Then the cashier swore at me and told me I could not buy the item. So you might not want to visit this locationbecause the help is very low end and this store feels like it run by gangs.
Cornell Bentley: Great place to shop. They leave you alone, and the homeless man there even opens the door for you and says "God bless you" even if you do not give him a gift of mercy. The staff is helpful whenever you request anything. I've gone in wearing saccloth (looking a hot mess) and they give me whatever item I want treating me as a person. I go in there with a suit and get treated the same way as i get treated when I look a mess. WE NEED MORE COMPANIES THAT BEHAVE THIS WAY!
Helen Lindsay: This Walgreens has what you need but has been very slow every time I have gone in the past year. I know there are staffing challenges but just be aware. They do not have any self checkout options. There is a FedEx drop off, you just have to ask!

American - Canadian Wrestling Federation: The Walgreens located at the old Woolworth's location is one of my favorite places to shop when I visit Central Square. This Walgreens has a tendency to have a very long line at the checkout yet, their prices are significantly cheaper than CVS across the street ... which has been the case since this Walgreens location first opened in 2001.
Liam Fenlon: This location sucks. Constantly understaffed, long pharmacy waits, and poor service.
Daren B: Understaffed, and most of the employees who were on duty ignored customers. The inside of the store could be cleaner as well. And the Western Union and Photo Printer is broken. The staff do not know how to fix it either and offer little assistance. Do not go here unless every other drug store/convenience store is closed

Kristina Novak: I love Walgreens and was thinking about switching my meds to this location because it is closer to my home. When I called this pharmacy to find out how many refills I have left on 2 of my medications that I regularly fill with Walgreens the employee I spoke to was completely incapable of answering this simple request. She first said, I am not a Walgreens patient and cannot help me. I asked if she was looking at the central profile to be sure that she could see my med list as Walgreens has a central system. I speak very clear English and she was clearly not familiar with drug names because she was very confused the whole conversation and I take very common medications. If she was confused, she should have asked someone else to assist. I wish I had gotten her name because she was completely incompetent at her job and shouldn't be working with patients.

Sara Tse: I successfully placed an online pharmacy order this morning. I called a few hours later to check that it was ready, and I received confirmation. I arrived to the store and waited in line for 30 minutes. They said they were not taking online orders, despite confirmation, and I would have to wait at least another hour to have it filled. I didn't have time so I asked them to cancel the order, and I went to a different CVS. I couldn't place a new order with the other CVS because the Central Square location never canceled my order, and by then the second CVS's pharmacy was closing. So I am out of a prescription that I needed today.
Kelsey Condon: Do not go to this CVS pharmacy. You’ll get a text your scrips are ready only to get there and be told they’re not. Or that they’re overcharging you, to the point your insurance has to call multiple times to get them to charge you correctly. And don’t even try to get them transferred out to another store- techs are rude/incompetent, will hang up on you, and snark at you instead of just transferring them, even if your new pharmacy has been trying for a week to get them. Even if they’re super important meds for your breathing like an inhaler. 0 stars.

NA Blossom: Today’s experience at my CVS was superb!! The floor associate helped me find a product I needed. At checkout the cashier was very supportive when I forgot to include my coupon. First of all, it is a new store. Secondly, I find out in the store there was a problem with my bank card. So I sat down to call it and debate the issue on my Bluetooth. Instead I got these babysitters as If I was their five years old. Most likely self hallucinating labeling me with hundred labels. Buy nothing. Going back to my old cvs for my medicines. Nicholas King: If you need your prescriptions to be filled on time, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Very long wait times, whether you're waiting on the phone or in-person. Which okay I get that you're busy, but after waiting on hold for over an hour twice only to be hung up on both times... that's unacceptable. The only time they've even filled my prescription out of the 3 times I've been there required me calling them or going in in-person. People's health depend on getting their medications on time - don't rely on this CVS. Worst experience I've ever had with any pharmacy.
Mary Kate Phillips: Horrible! Pharmacy service. I still do not have my prescription. Due to long wait times. Tonight pharmacy and manager had a bad attitude. They are unpleasant to deal with. Oh I still do not have my medication. I have gone in there 5 times.
Ne Myo Han: It's been 4 weeks and they still haven't fulfilled my prescription order. When I called two weeks ago, they asked me to check with other branches which may have the drug, and the other branch said that they already sent it over to this branch. I called back to this branch and they said they never received it (probably lost it seeing how incredibly unorganized they are) and will request a special urgent order for it. Two weeks have passed and I still don't have the drug with me while my symptom is getting worse and I suffer every day.

Joe Taxpayer: Vaccine Day. This was the first day that this CVS started offering the Covid vaccine and I was one of the lucky ones to get the 10am, first appointment. They were ready to checkin soon as people entered, to confirm the appointment. 3 people giving the vaccines in an area designated for that. Appointments were scheduled 15 minutes apart, so no crowd, just the next few people waiting. This went off with no issues at all. I'm not surprised, as CVS has always done a great job, at any location I've visited.
Governor: Stay away! I was physically threatened last time I was there for looking for a scarf and nicotine.. I was dressed in a white dress shirt and slacks. I had been there between 3 to 5 minutes. The entire time I was there I was followed around by an elderly male EMPLOYEEwho chased me down the block. Saying if he saw me again he would punch me.

Lorianna: So much better than Walgreens or CVS! Also they also have a location across the street you can get a rapid Covid test M-F. They saved me so much time. I had already wasted a lot of time at Walgreens. But Inman’s is so much better, also much, much better service for prescriptions!

R Fox: Was with them more than 10 yrs but as of this year i had enough. Not sure where the older original staff and pharmacist are. But the new younger staff are rude and what use to be a place where they valued their customer has turned out to be a "I don't care and next in line" attitude turned me off people are consumers especially when u have big chain pharmacies that will give your meds faster and with a slight smile. But then again they probably are allset with customers they're small and Cambridge hospital steps away! all I know is thanks but I'm all set with them.i pray they are never in need of meds maybe they will see it's no fun.
David HB: I wanted so hard to like this place. In this day when corporate giants litter the landscape, I try to patronize local mom and pop shops whenever possible. Sadly, this place makes it impossible. They never get the order right, it always takes forever to get it corrected, and this time they called to tell me my prescription was ready, but when I got to the store they only had 1/4th of the order ready, making it necessary for me to go back Monday. I am no longer a customer.

Gloria Hankin: I didn't like the experience. Went there to pick up a prescription and was handed a little plastic container with pills. Labelled by the pharmacy. No way to know what these pills are: I don't believe stickers on plastic containers that have been printed by a pharmacists. If I spend money on prescriptions I expect to receive a little cardboard box with a complete list of ingredients, the brand name, the expiry date, and last but not least factory sealed pills. Let me repeat that for emphasis: Factory sealed. By the drug manufacturer.

Ussy lay: I live in Brookline but I prefer shopping from this CVS as they always have a best customer service. Last time I was there Sachin helped me in the search of product. He is very professional, kind and quick. He doesn't only answer all of my question but also told me about new promotions in the store definitely made for the great experience!
Yuwei Li: Unsafe and irresponsible! I ordered Covid testing kits to be picked up at this store. They gave my order to someone else and I got a text message and an email saying my order was picked up (I haven't even visited the store yet!). This is extremely unsafe and irresponsible! What if this is prescription????

Evan Beiter: If I could give this CVS -5 stars, I would. Their staff forces you into a CVS membership through pure lies. I have been fighting with my credit card company for months to get rid of hundreds of dollars of charges for a card I never signed up for because of a promotion that was pushed on me that was told as "100% free, you will never be charged ever". This has happened TWICE to me here. The service absolutely horrendous and they are just trying to meet corporate benchmarks and trap innocent customers. Will never be returning

Emma Miertschin: This pharmacy is always closed. I have a break in classes from 1-2 and can never get there before 1:30 when they close for lunch. I have carepass, but my prescriptions aren’t available for delivery. Unfortunately inconvenient.
Janina Matuszeski: Customer service for vaccine scheduling by CVS was atrocious. Bounced around several times (each time on hold for 20+ minutes), staff was not able to help at all, and eventually the the call dropped. No way to schedule unless I went via their website and consented to all sorts of text messages to my phone. Shameful. Get it together CVS.

The staff were pretty friendly and helpful when it came to locating things in the building. There are no public bathrooms or trash cans. It is close to the subway station.
