Boston Photography Workshops: what do users think?
Olivia Harris: I really enjoyed my course with Boston Photography Workshops. It was a nice sized interactive group setting. I felt like I got a great understanding in 3.5 hours with a manageable amount of information but didn't feel overloaded. I'm looking forward to taking future classes with Boston Photography!
Maddie Conway O'Reilly: I appreciated that they met everyone where we were are at with our equipment and experience—there was no pressure to have to use one brand or type, or even to already know about the camera you have. I felt the workshop covered a manageable amount of content and liked that it involved hands-on practice and provided an easy framework for practicing outside of class to master the skills. I walked away feeling I could more easily use my camera to take the pictures I want to take.
Jen Vogel: The beginner photography class was great! I can’t wait to practice what I learned. Chris was an awesome teacher. I can finally take my camera of the auto setting!!
Natalia M Bard: Fantastic Digital Cameras 1 workshop. This 3.5-hour class goes by in a flash and provides much more than an introduction. You will walk out understanding the difference between exposure, aperture and ISO, and get inspired by their complex interactions. I'll definitely be back. Thank you, Chris!
Brenna Carney: Amazing! Hands on, helpful, and soooo informative!
Yaz Ketcherside: My friend and I signed up for the Digital Cameras 1 class with Chris and OMG! Not only did I think Chris was an incredible teacher, but the class was super interesting. It didn’t feel like 3.5 hours, it flew by. Chris was super hands on and patient. I walked out feeling much more confident in my photography abilities and will be signing up for more!Attached are two pictures I took of flowers in a planter and the third pic is of the classroom for reference!
Nick DeSouza: I cannot... CANNOT recommend Boston Photography Studio Enough. I took my first class there this weekend. The class size was small and intimate allowing for a real personalized experience. The instructor Sami was so informative, and knowledgeable and very helpful in getting you a strong foundation for what you are interested in shooting. I learned so much, and they made it so easy to understand. They are a small business and were very appreciate of each person's patronage in the class. I will undoubtedly be taking future classes with them! If i could give them 10 Stars I would
Vivian Thompson: I took the Digital Cameras I one day workshop and I loved it. My instructor was Chris, he really took the time to explain the basic features of the camera and to help us understand how to use it better. The material of the class and his way of teaching are great, he offers practical exercises as well, this was also very helpful. I was so happy that I already subscribed to other workshops.
David J: I took Digital Photography I, it was perfect. I went in knowing nothing about how to operate my mirrorless camera and came away with the tools to practice and grow in my skills. Would recommend for anyone curious about what shutter speed, aperture, and ISO and how to use them.
George D: This class was well-executed in every way. Haley was friendly, professional, and took the time to thoroughly answer our questions. I would definitely take another class at BPW.
Josh Noel: Positive:Communication,Quality,ValueI attended one of these workshops, it was fantastic!
Seth Kessler: Took the Night Photography course and, within the two hour span, I went from feeling hesitant about my skills in that arena to feeling quite confident! Haley was a very motivating and well-informed instructor who took the time to walk us through any issues we were having and offer easy-to-grasp explanations. Also, the night time urban exploration aspect of this class was very fun! Will definitely be taking another one of their classes.
Riad Cachecho: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value
Valerie Stephens: BPW's digital photography in-person course with Maria was phenomenal. It was a great introduction for those who have DSLR or mirrorless cameras that want to learn more about how a camera functions, its history and how to properly use it. Maria offered a lot of information in one class though delivered it in a way that was accessible and easy to digest. The advice given and insight received will go on well beyond the class. It's a very exciting and supportive community to become a part of in Boston.
Amanda Doyle: Positive:Quality,Value
alba gutierrez: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueI took the Night Photography workshop, and it was amazing! First time doing a photography course, I learned a lot about my camera, and how to take good pictures at night! Instructors were just amazing! It was my first class, but for sure will not be the last one!
Nicole Maguire: I attended the Digital Photography I Class on 8/2/20 with Sami. I was nervous going into Boston with everything going on with COVID but they far exceeded my expectations at how clean and professional everything was. We each had our own desks spaced far apart with water, hand sanitizer, and tissues, everyone wore their masks, and if we needed help she wore gloves to handle our camera. I went into the class knowing the information that was going to be taught (I have tried teaching myself via YouTube and the internet) but not completely comfortable. This class took me right over to feeling confident in using my camera. I appreciate the examples, and the way the class was taught (more conversational than sitting through a lecture). Sami took the time to learn my specific interests in photography, and gave me some resources and suggestions. It was a fun, informative class and I'm excited to take another class. Thank you.
Bill Nikolis: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueGreat Class. Sam the instructor knows what she doing.I felt safe and throughly enjoy the class. I would recommend this class to anyone interested in digital photography.
Raymond Russell: This was the first photo composition class that I have taken and it was an excellent experience! Tony and Gaby did a great job organizing the walking tour and working with each of us individually to improve our composition skills. I plan on taking their night photography course in the near future. The small group format (there were 3 students and 2 leaders) worked incredibly well in the setting of social distancing.
Danielle Turner: Food Photography I was an amazing class! If you are interested in getting into photography or looking for a fun course to take I would highly recommend! Staff/ instructors are welcoming, friendly and very helpful!
Wonder Woman: What a wonderful class! Chris was fantastic and Gabby equally so! Both were incredibly informative, patient, and insightful. I will definitely be taking more classes with them.

Big Picture Art House: what do users think?
Evonne Wetzner: jenny and her kids/teen photo program is THE BEST! my 14 yo (notoriously not enthusiastic about camps) is hooked. this is seriously a testimony to the magical understanding that jenny and her staff bring to making art fun and exciting for teens of all backgrounds and personalities. it’s a safe, supportive environment and i’m so grateful my kid gets to be exposed to learning and having new experiences by such an amazing crew.
Irina Ruvinskaya: My daughter loved this program and can’t wait to go again next year! She made lots of new friends and learned new skills. Thank you, Big Picture Art House
Pam Yosca: Great local camp for Boston teens. My son went for a week, loved his counselors and the field trips in and around Boston. He loves photography, and this was a great blend of learning a bit more about cameras and composition, and getting to know new people. We will return!
