Dr. Yena Do: what do users think?
Mary Hilt: Wonderful person and a good doctor that really listens.
Yana Petri: I came to the doctor for ingrown inflamed nails. After getting help for that, the doctor looked at my feet and said “when you become old and heavy, you will get tendonitis unless you do XYZ.” I am a 25-year old who runs half-marathons and is in good shape, and I found this comment extremely offensive and triggering, considering that I was suffering from anorexia and bulemia in the past. I was like “Old and heavy?” and the doctor didn’t apologize. I went to complain to the reception desk because I didn’t want other patients to hear this and thought that someone could talk to the doctor about this. In return, I heard “Oh, the doctor would never say such a thing, but I will talk to her.” So on top of being offended, I was not believed. For that reason I am writing a Google Review here. I will have a hard time believing the doctor’s diagnosis and advice after this situation.
Lewis Dalven: I consulted Dr. Do some years ago for a sore metatarsal. She recommended a conservative course of treatment, but I wanted results, so I sought another opinion. The other practitioner was more aggressive, but ultimately his treatment was not effective in bringing relief, and may have done more harm than good. I had a new issue recently and went back to Dr. Do for a diagnosis. She informed me I had bone chips and a spur in my great toe joint and this time one of the options was surgery, which I had done several days ago. After my follow up appointment I feel confident I was given excellent care and look forward to a much improved comfort level after healing is completed. It’s been only 4 days and the pain is lessening daily.I will update this review as the process continues…It has now been 6 weeks and I still have more discomfort than I expected, but at 71 maybe healing is a bit slower than the standard for bone recovery.
Kimberly J L Pitts: My experience with this office really wasn’t negative but I have been waiting for over a year to get that promised call about my orthotics that were recommended and needed prior approvalI live within walking distance to the office so it would be convenient for me but I am on the fence regarding their care!I am going to schedule another appointment and update you on my next visit but I’m looking for another office as I type this because my gut instinct is I would be better off moving on.
Joe Mayo: Unfortunately, my treatment at Dr. Do's facility was ineffective, ultimately ending in a recommendation to use OTC methods and a $495 bill.EDIT: I cannot reply to the owner's reply but it's worth noting that the owner's response is incorrect. My bill was paid in full prior to the original post and the total bill was in fact $495. I was responsible for $70.56 after insurance, not $20 as claimed by the owner.
Shan Achhiwala: Can't thank you enough Dr. DoSorry for the late review. Dr. Do is amazing person. She is caring, literally work on my complicated situation.Kudos to Dr. Yena Do. Her staff is fantastic. I can write more & more for her. God bless you Dr.
June Zhao: I had a not good experience with the visit of Dr Do. That was my 1st visit, apparently I had a lot of questions. After only about 10min, she already told me she needed to go because she were later for another 6 patients. Also the front desk sold me a pair of pure stride shoe insert for $50, which only cost $40 in Amazon. And she told me I could get them no where else except in the office because it was prescribed. Never going back
Kevin McNerney: I went to Dr. Do with a broken right foot (4th metatarsal). I'll start with the good:- she found 2 more fractured bones that weren't found by urgent care- she and her staff are friendly- appointments are available and usually pretty quick- the office is clean and good locationDr. Do might be a very good Podiatrist, but unfortunately, my experience with her as a surgeon was bad:- the fractures became much worse right after surgery (much more noticeable on x-ray)- my 4th toe is a couple millimeters shorter than it was prior to the fracture- she predicted a timeline of 4-6 weeks and expected a full recovery. Later, she said that it's actually usually 8-12 weeks. And now it has been over 16 weeks, still not healed.- she claimed that you'd barely even see the scar, but it is a big, obvious scar- I still have pain from the screws and will have to get surgery again to remove them once the bone is done healingOverall, some of this might not be Dr. Do's fault and someone else might have a better experience. But for me, this has ruined a part of my life and now I have to see another doctor.I would recommend choosing a different surgeon.
Robin Nadeau: Dr. Do is professional, knowledgeable, and practical. I've been a couple times over the past few years, initially based on the recommendation of a friend who also sees her. Dr. Do and her staff take the time to explain things and they know what they're doing. If I follow what they say, I am helped and my diagnosis or condition improves. I highly recommend.
Ed T: I was charged $375 for a boot that Dr. Yena Do gave me for a sprained ankle.I found online that boot retails for only $79 on Amazon! That's a 5x markup. It's predatory when a healthcare provider takes advantage of their patients by charging outrageously high prices for medical equipment.I do not recommend seeing Dr. Yena Do. But if you must, DO NOT accept any medical equipment provided by her - you'll be in for a shock when the bill comes. Just buy it online from Amazon.
Adrian Bridglal: Called to get an appointment the receptionist couldn’t even remember my name after saying it three times to her and spelling it out I was asking for my insurance information in which I didn’t have on me and until I got back home and I asked her if I can bring it tomorrow when I come she said not honestly Christine that’s not how treat a new client that’s looking to do business with the company you work for learn to talk to people better on the phone now I have to look for another dr because my experience on the phone was bad
Jim A: Dr. Do is a good doctor and a good podiatrist. I highly recommend her.
Adrian Burgos: Doctor Do is a extremely knowledgeable, kind, without doubt the best podiatrist one can ask for. I would, and have already recommended her to family and friends. Her staff is also incredibly professional and helpful.
Brad stearns: What an incredible experience, beyond my expectation. On a suggestion of a friend (word of mouth is the best recommendation) I made an appointment with Dr. Do to help with chronic ankle pain that also had me tripping with a stiff uncomfortable gait.Figured "Dr" Do was a PhD, that I'd be in and out with a quick solution I'd pick up while there. But contrary to that, Dr. Do was a straight forward MD. I hadn't expected such a thorough exam with xrays for Dr. Do to diagnose that I needed special sole support.Dr. Do is supported by a very capable and direct assistant, Moriah. She performed the xrays and made a real time scan of my feet to create custom made supports. On my second visit Moriah fitted my new inserts and gave me detailed instructions how to break them in, so to speak, with exercises and scaled build up walk time.Well the altered positioning of my ankle accomplished way more than I expected. Not only has the pain gone away, but my posture improved, my gait is more relaxed, I don't stumble anymore. Get this, I am truly more agile on my feet. All of these improvements feel great to this older guy.I know it's a long review, but credit should be given to the efficiency and skills of Dr. Do and Moriah.
Anna Flynt: I have been in for a few appointments so far with Dr. Do and she is most excellent. The office is extremely clean, staff is friendly and professional, and Dr. Do has treated me with care. After months and months of foot pain prior to seeing her, I am finally on the mend. I cannot recommend her enough!
James Mulhern: Staff was very professional and seamed very knowledgeable. The office was very clean and appeared well equipped. Only negative was they said my foot was broken, that's not their fault though.
Clara Smith: Highly recommended! I truly hate going to the podiatrist, but it turns out I was just going to the wrong one. A previously painful procedure was completed by Dr. Do quickly and comfortably (the doctor really does make a difference). She spent the time to explain and walk me through there procedure. Additionally, Dr. Do was both patient and kind.
Kelly Corrigan ac2 (KAC1): Pleasant, knowledgeable, fantastic physician...: )
jamar hopkins: Dr. Do is the best!! Super down to earth, easy to work with and makes you visited painless an quick.
Chico Sajovic: Devoted, compassionate, and skilled surgeon.

Cambridge Foot Care: what do users think?
Jennifer Winifred Trimble: Sharon and Dr. Mostone were absolutely stellar. They were kind and able to get me an appointment promptly! I can’t recommend them more.
Tiankai Wang: Great doctor! Very responsible
Addison Ball: The doctor and the staff are incredible! Best podiatrist I've ever been to.
Makenzie Gorman: Sharon is the most helpful, kind, and efficient in getting appointments and making sure your needs are cared for. She truly tries the best to accommodate and is so warm over the phone. Wish every doctor office experience was like this!!! Thank you!!!
Steve T. Fan: Sharon and Dr. Mostone are absolutely fantastic! They have both been so amicable and caring throughout the entire time that I was there, and I could tell that they genuinely care for their patients. Needless to say, Dr. Mostone was quickly able to identify my problem and gave me treatment very promptly. I would definitely recommend coming here!
Cant think Of a name: Dr. Mostone is one of the nicest doctors I have dealt with, other than my PCP. He has terrific personality, very professional and extremely knowledgeable. I would and have highly recommend him as the go to foot doctor.
Anthony Y: Great speed and service
Gediminas Pliura: Been here a few times. Friendly office all around, smart doctor, reliable. Wouldn't go anywhere else!
Meridiana: Highly recommend Dr. Mostone. Not only a nice person, but outrageously good at his work. I had a messed-up toenail from a foot trauma and it had a fungus and was growing in badly--and ingrown. He treated it and it looks now like nothing ever happened; it's perfect. Not only that but he was incredibly prompt, pleasant, and professional. I had minor surgery done by him and there was no pain. I will recommend him to anyone I know who needs a great podiatrist. Thanks, Dr. Moscone!
Rob Petrie Corriveau: I highly recommend Cambridge Foot Care. I had an ingrown toenail removed and it didn't hurt at all.

Crimson Foot and Ankle Specialists: what do users think?
Andrew: Dr. Emily Cook was great. However, (some, not all of) the members of the billing staff that I interacted with were extremely rude and unprofessional. Although the medical care itself was good, unfortunately I would not consider returning to this location due to the few unprofessional members of the billing staff.
Marianna Buteyn: Dr. Basile is the best! Three years after ankle replacement and doing amazing!
Laura Kiesel: I had an appt to meet with Dr. Cook last month at their Mt Auburn Hospital office, an appt I had been waiting for nearly two mos. I arrived and after a long wait, I saw an intern who told me the doctor would be with me shortly but could I consent to let him examine me. For the next 20 min, he goes through a long list of questions and does a physical exam. Then a surgical resident comes in and says Dr. Cook is detained in surgery, and then goes through the exact same questions/exam over the next 20 min, not even looking to or acknowledging the intern still in the room, expending my limited energy. Then I get sent for imaging, which shows my foot is in not great shape. The resident calls me back in, talks to me about the results and recommends surgery. When I start asking questions, he says those are best left to Dr. Cook, who will follow up with me when he returns from vacation next week (I thought he was in surgery?). A whole month goes by and no follow up and I am anxious because I want to know more about this surgery I should have since it will likely interrupt my life a lot for a good 6-8 wks. So, I write to Dr. Cook on MyChart requesting a telehealth appt to discuss my surgery options and what it would entail. A few hours later, a woman (I am guessing a Medical or office asst?) named "Melissa F." writes back and says they don't do telehealth "due to the nature of the practice" (whatever that means) but Dr. Cook can try to give me a quick "courtesy call." She also tells me the doc was out the day of my appt last month due to COVID (not surgery or vacation, the two excuses I was told that day) but that he is now on vacation and can maybe contact me next week. I write back and clarify that I am disabled and I'd like to have a telehealth appt as a reasonable accommodation under ADA to really go over things. I explain that since COVID expanded telehealth that should mean they have such options available to offer me. I also politely express some frustration that I went to the other appt and didn't see the doctor but a resident and intern. She writes me back a fairly epic and pretty defensive email (I can't write her one back as long as I am constrained by the MyChart program by word count) about how well-versed she is not just in ADA but all these other laws and policies she starts citing that have absolutely nothing to do with my request, and saying telehealth appts aren't mandatory by federal law and that residents ARE doctors (but he wasn't the doctor I was supposed to see and he himself told me it wasn't his place to talk more about surgical options). She asserts she's meeting my accommodation by putting in for a "courtesy call" (which I am sure people know why that's not the same as an actual appt). The woman clearly didn't know how ADA works--because her response was not just inaccurate but inappropriate and quite frankly, came across as discriminatory and ILLEGAL, esp considering their own website states they offer telehealth appts. She stated she can't just offer patients telehealth upon patient request--but I am a disabled patient asking for an accommodation, which is different. Under ADA, medical offices are supposed to be able to work with disabled people to offer them reasonable accommodations they request unless it presents a financial or administrative burden. Telehealth is fairly affordable/mainstream now and this isn't a dinky one-person indie office on a tiny budget but a chain with the backing of a major hospital. It seems the office has offered telehealth in other cases, and may still be doing it as per the info on their website. I filed a formal complaint with the hospital.
Chris Kahler: He's the worst doctor you could have imParalyzed in my leftParalyzed in my left armI want bring my dog thereDue to his surgeryHe lies to youHe does not careTrust me
A J: Really awful experience here. Thank goodness I saw a surgeon at another facility who knows what he's doing and didn't give me false information. You have to advocate for yourself and not believe what the providers here tell you. Very poor care and ZERO follow-up after I was told that I would be referred for imaging. Still waiting 4 weeks later and no communication from the office.
Eelie T: Terrible billing practices and the head of their department was useless in helping me. He was dismissive and rude and the 10 minutes he spent in the room yielded me no answers on path forward with my debilitating foot condition. Waste of time and money.
Matthew Hoyer: Dr. Jeremy Cook changed my life. He immediately could tell that I was misdiagnosed by an orthopedist and then performed a surgery that totally fixed my broken sesamoid. Two years later, I am feeling great and totally healed with no side effects. Having surgery with Dr. Cook was a great decision for me.
Sheryl Ott: Happened to get set up with Dr Emily Cook because the office is close to me. Very lucky that I did! She immediately diagnosed a foot problem which had been bothering me over a year that my primary care couldn't figure out. I ended up needing surgery and was happy to be in such great hands. Everyone at the hospital, physical therapy, etc, knows her by reputation and have only great things to say. I ask a lot of questions and she's always been patient and informative. I can not recommend her strongly enough.
Lauren Taylor: After dealing with an ankle injury for over a year, I finally feel confident about healing after visiting Crimson this afternoon. The wait room was homey and the receptionist was friendly. I felt like the doctor really cared about my injury and wanted to help me get better. After dealing with so many doctors that never told me anything, it really means a lot to have a doctor that listens. Thanks Crimson Foot & Ankle Specialists!
Rickeina Coplin: I have a bilateral foot injury due to an auto accident. I have been referred to a foot specialist by my physical therapist after experiencing intense muscle spasms in both feet. Because the Crimson website offers after hour appointments twice per week (which they do not honor), I chose to continue foot care here in effort to better compliment my new work schedule. Unfortunately, I never gotten the opportunity to see a doctor at this facility. The administration staff provided unacceptable customer service. The folks hired to schedule appointments are extremely unprofessional, inconsistent and irresponsible. They lack customer service skills, communication (phone) etiquette skills and empathy for the patients they have been hired to serve. On more occasions than one, they notified me of expensive fees that were due at the time of my visit, the day of my scheduled appointment. Representatives from this facility have made financial arrangements (liens) with my lawyer that were not honored. And lastly, I took time off from my new job just to a receive a voice mail message (as I was on the train en route to my appointment) stating that I must pay a large fee once I arrived. This was the 3rd time that Crimson had SMACKED me with a unexpected fee, THE DAY OF THE APPOINTMENT.I reached out to the manager, but she never returned my call. My lawyer made financial arrangements with Crimson (that temporarily waved the very expensive new patient fee), BUT THEY NEVER HONORED the arrangement. They falsely advertise evening appointments (appointments available until 7pm as specified on the website)... AND THE LIST GOES ON!Who knows? The doctors may be excellent. Unfortunately, one may never find out due to the ignorant staff and leadership hired to provide customer service.

Dori Wolfson: Ive been here for severe plantar fasciitis and got excellent care and service from the front office.
Ed T: I was charged $375 for a boot that Dr. Yena Do gave me for a sprained ankle.I found online that boot retails for only $79 on Amazon! But if you must, DO NOT accept any medical equipment provided by her - you'll be in for a shock when the bill comes. Just buy it online from Amazon.
Truman Brody-Boyd: Great practice from everything I experienced. Had a really gross ingrown toenail that they worked with me to treat and remove over two weeks, both with the wonderful Nurse they have on staff.
Talia M: Inaccurate information provided, long wait and overall lack of consideration for the client...I was told twice that they were in network for my insurance coverage. I booked an appointment, left work early and arranging for someone to pickup my child from daycare to attend the appointment. After waiting 45 minutes for my appointment I was notified that I was incorrectly told they were in network and I would have an expensive copay if I kept the appointment. They had no interest in finding a solution as it was only a hassle for me and made no difference to them.
Bob Zinck: Dr. Prechtl is the best. I've had two foot operations performed by her and they were both successful and went very smoothly. She was very informative from the very first time I visited her as she gave me every option that was available concerning my condition (Hallux Rigidus). She also made sure I could contact her whenever there were any post surgical issues. Dr. Prechtl also performed successful surgery on my wife for bunions. I highly recommend her.
Ann Marie Silverberg: Dr. Do is absolutely amazing. She is very kind and personable. Everything was explained clearly to me and I knew exactly what the plans and expected outcomes could be.Highly recommend.
Adam Kalai: Dr. Ptetchl removed my toenail after a small accident. She was in a rush and between patients and didn't give me very clear post-operative instructions. And when I called on Sunday with a possible infection, it took her two days to return my call.

Dr. EMILY A. COOK: what do users think?
Michael Bundy: My 93-year-old mother had such a negative experience with this doctor that I'm taking the for-us-unusual step of writing a review. To begin with the final blow, my mother had an appointment for this morning, and the doctor's office did not have it on their schedule. Now my mother had confirmed the appointment last week, the secretary had checked with the doctor that she wanted my mother to come in again, and yes, my mother DOES have her marbles! OK, staff can forget to write something down, so the (different) secretary this morning said that she thought they could fit my mother in. Then she comes back and says the doctor won't do that, her schedule is too full (there was one other person in the waiting room), we have to come back in a week. Come on, shouldn't you give the patient the benefit of the doubt, and rectify a mistake like that?!There's more. At my mother's previous appointment, the doctor had sent her to the hospital to check out some swelling, and had promised to call ahead so the hospital was ready for my mother. She did not do that. The hospital had to try calling the doctor multiple times before they got through to learn what the issue was. Is this a pattern of absent-mindedness, or not caring enough to follow through?!Even earlier, my mother had to wait an hour from the time of her appointment until she was seen--I guess that happens with a lot of doctors. But finally, the waiting room in this doctor's office consists of two rows of chairs facing each other with a narrow aisle between. When you have a lot of people waiting, some with walkers and canes beside them, moving up or down that aisle is like navigating an obstacle course. Not the most sensible layout for a foot doctor's office!

Philip Basile, DPM: what do users think?
n friggity: I have been reading these reviews and noticed some people are trying to ruin his reputation. He has been my family podiatrist for years. He is the most caring doctor I have ever met in my life. He doesn’t rush his patients out or ever make anyone wait for hours to be seen. The office Manager Melissa is the kindest most patient person ever. I will recommend this place highly. The change peoples lives for the better!!!!!!!!Nancy Fret
T D: I had my left foot operated on by Dr. Basile in March 2021. He corrected my bunion, tailor’s bunion, and shortened my second toe. He explained the whole process thoroughly, so I was left with no surprises during recovery. I followed his instructions, I don’t smoke, I ate well (no alcohol a week leading up to surgery and 2 months post surgery), took vitamin D and C supplements, and also had an excellent physical therapist (Norton Physical Therapy). I was running 7 weeks post surgery and I hiked the Bright Angel Trail to Plateau Point at the Grand Canyon exactly 8 weeks post surgery. And guess what? No pain! My left foot is now my favorite foot. Before surgery I was hobbling after a hike and I could barely stand having any type of shoe on by the end of each day. I used vitamin e oil and mederma once the wounds closed so I have minimal scars. He warned me the toe shortening would be the most painful part to recover from, and I agree with him (it’s a small area with not much room for nerves to fire off), but if you are willing to put in some work and do physical therapy, you will be back to your normal activities shortly. Oh, and your foot will look beautiful. Also, it’s not just Dr. Basile that is fantastic, his team of residents (who you will see during appointments and surgery) are also excellent. A great surgeon needs help from a great team and his practice provides that. Including his scheduler Melinda, super organized and will always get back to you.Update: I had my right foot done 3 months after my left foot. I was running 6 weeks post-op and did not need physical therapy. Once again, excellent work by Dr. Basile and his team. He removed pins from both feet a couple months after my right foot was done and it was a simple procedure in the office. Zero pain!
Amethyst L.: I would give zero rating if I could. To summarize, I had the most horrible experience ever this morning. The office manager was the most rude medical staff I have ever seen. They messed up my appointment time and didn't apologize. When I demanded an explanation, she would not listen at all and threatened to call the cop if I don't leave the office!!!! OMG!!!
Ayub Shariff: Had appointment recently, only Junior Dr came to see. Philip conveyed message that nothing wrong when I had Right toenail had severe fungus, Then I saw other Dr. and they treated and removed the fungus.I had to wait for 2 hours, also they charge money for nothing. My sincere and honest advise is avoid this place. Please see first picture after before and after seeing Philips and second picture after seeing another Dr.
Liz Shook: In the ten years since my surgeries under Dr. Basile’s care I have found that he is not only a studied expert in his field and an excellent surgeon, but also talented and respectful in how he communicates with patients. I recently required a piece of hardware removed ten years after my surgery and the experience was excellent; I felt as though I was under care from the very top physician in the field. His staff is kind and respectful; I didn’t find issue in getting an appointment at all.
Monica Garcia: Dr. Basile has preformed bunion removal surgery on both feet. After hesitating I finally went for a consultation and I don’t regret it at all. Bunion surgery seems scary but Dr. Basile explained everything well and I followed his instructions exactly and it was a wonderful experience.
Dora Martins: Dr Basile operated on my right foot bunion years ago and 6 weeks ago on my left foot both has been very successful don't listen to horrible stories about how difficult it is and how long you can't walk if you follow doctors rules you can be walking in 3 days with a special small boot 2 weeks later once I had the stiches removed I was able to use same of my own shoes and I was out and about doing everything .don't suffer in pain call DrBasile he is the best .Thank you Dr Basile from the bottom of my heart wish you all the best.
JoAnn Brennan: I am so very lucky to have had Dr. Basile perform my foot surgery. It was a very long, rough road how I ended up in his hands. 10 Years ago I was told that after another doctor performed surgery on my foot that my bones were too thin to have been able to fix it. I did not know any better so I suffered for 10 years with my foot the same way. Then I ended up finding a Doctor Wu in Revere Massachusetts. This was the second mistake I had made regarding this issue. The doctor and I had a plan to have my left hip operated on by a hip surgeon of course, prior to getting my foot done. We then waited a year to schedule my foot surgery. We scheduled for March 16, 2018. Then she called me to tell me that she wanted to make sure the insurance was in order(( she already did this but Ok)) so she needed one more week and reschedule the surgery to March 22. The surgery was confirmed by her office and the hospital the night before. I went into the hospital on the schedule time prior to surgery at 7:30 AM the blocked surgery space was for 9:00 AM. I went into the hospital on the schedule time prior to surgery at 7:30 AM the blocked surgery space was for 9:00 AM. At 9:15 AM the hospital called Dr. Wu to find out if she was going to be much longer. She asked to speak to me and proceeded to tell me that she did not realize my surgery was scheduled for that day and was 45 minutes away and the hospital could not accommodate any more time. (( actually there was time at the end of the day but she neglected to tell me that)) I was already prepped for surgery. I was in the Johnny and I had the needles in my arms and I had signed consent forms and been visited by the anesthesiologist. She said she rebooked it for the following Friday but the next day she called me at home and told me that she had bad news that she would not be performing my surgery then or ever. Her reasons were because she was going to China in May which we already knew about because she made sure I knew that months and months prior to the surgery so that I would know she would not possibly be able to see me on the fifth or sixth visit following surgery. Then she also said that most likely I was angry because of her not showing up so that if anything happened that was incorrect during the surgery I might become even more angry. She said she took a close look at my case and said that she asked 5 of her colleagues to see me for the fifth and sixth visit and they declined. She also said a couple of other crazy things and yelled at me that she could not help everybody in the world. My primary got a hold of her and she told them she feared my insurance would not pay and then told thevhisoutal if I paid out of pocket she might consider doing it. REMEMBER THIS WAS ALREADY PREAPPROVED TWICE! Needless to say, I was very upset and bewildered did so I proceeded to seek help from the Melrose Wakefield Hospital Officers. This is how I was led to Dr. Basile. As everything happens for a reason, Dr. Wu would not have been able to perform this difficult surgery and Dr. Basile did with excellency. I really admire this Surgeon and I like him for his professionalism and knowledge and personality. I want to add something to the story and I plan on making the statement in different modes of communication. Doctors need to humble themselves when they feel that they are not equipped to perform procedures on individuals. Both doctors I encountered prior to Dr. Basile Could not have fixed my foot but they could have told me this so that I would not have to suffer and go through all of this unnecessary hardship. Dr. Basile is an awesome Dr and person. You’re lucky to have him as an option and by the way he is humble and if he thinks he can’t help you he will tell you, not likely though he is brilliant! Thank you gorbyou time!
Lisa Engley: Dr. Basile operated on my right foot in 2014. I had waited so long, that I was no longer able to walk. What he did was a transformation for me. It was a very complex surgery, with a severely deformed foot that was a full inch and half wider foot from my left, to a normal looking foot the same size as my left. I also checked him out prior to working with him, with two other surgeons, who said he was a true artist in how he was able to re-shape feet. I would agree. Though I might say that wait times are sometimes long - it is clear he tries to take adequate time with each patient, which is rare these days. Add in a bit of time for your appointment and bring a book - its completely worth any wait time. He is a perfectionist - a highly desirable characteristic to have as a surgeon. He gets it right.
Susan McGregor: After numerous doctors at wound care centers, including hyperbaric chambers, over the past 18 months, Dr. Basile operated; and after 5 weeks, my husband was discharged and has his life back. Thank you Dr. Basile from the bottom of my heart.
Sharon Rapoza: Dr. Basile operated on my R foot in November. All seemingly went well. I was doing fine and even went Hiking. However, In mid May I began having a lot of pain and am now using crutches just to get out of bed. I am back in physical therapy and am getting nowhere. I called his office three weeks ago and an answering machine told me to leave a message and they would get back to me. I left a message letting them know how much trouble I was having. Never got a return call. Two weeks later I called and made sure I spoke with his nurse who apologized for not getting back to me and took my info and said Dr Basile was out of the office and I would hear from them by Thursday. Never got a call. On my previous message I had asked if maybe I should have an MRI prior to my visit due to his office being a 2 hour drive for me.I called again on Monday after receiving no return call. His nurse put me on hold then returned to tell me he was not willing order an MRI without seeing me. If I didn't want to drive I should call Dr Gavigan, who originally referred me to Dr Basile, in Bourne.I called Dr Gavigans office at 9:10am. Office is open but only get an answering machine which states they would call me back unless I had called after hours in which case they would call back the next day. Waited all day. No return call. Called again at 4:15 and office is closed. I have been in pain for weeks longer than I should be without knowing if I am doing any damage to my foot by walking on it.If you want to be deserted by your doctor when you need him please see Dr Basile. Also avoid Dr Gavigan
Dana Cresta: Dr Basile has been my podiatrist for past 8 yrs. I had a case in which hurt at work and along with some sport injuries and physiological issues, I feel Dr Basile is a qualified surgeon. I had 4 surgeries on right foot, two being total reconstruction of foot/ankle. He is a busy Doctor with limited office time. Rather have a doctor too busy, than looking for work.
