Kathleen Byrne: They lost me today. I went in to buy rice krispies for a snow day activity for my kids. A family size box was $9.99. The same box at target is $4.79. I know shopping local will be more expensive, but that mark-up is more than what I am willing to pay.

V.S.: My go-to place for wide variety of healthy foods and spirits. Nice selection of meats, cheeses, and wine. Friendly and kind staff. They make the best ham & cheese croissants in their bakery section. Produce could be fresher, but no complains otherwise!

Alejandra Rodriguez: today (3/12/23) my partner and I went to get some groceries. We both has face masks on. We got two bottles of wine and got carded by the cashier. The cashier barely glanced at mine, but took my partner’s ID and put it in a machine. The cashier kept staring daggers at my partner. My partner was wearing makeup. On their ID my partner has a beard and says they’re male. The cashier kept staring and wouldn’t complete our transaction and called a manager. I askedthe cashier if my ID needed to be scanned as well. The cashier just said no. The manager asked my partner to pull down their mask and gave a thumbs up. This was humiliating. The manager did not apologize. The cashier barely whispered a “sorry about that.” I don’t think we’ll ever shop at Pemberton again

Tina Lieu: Since Pemberton enlarged and renovated it's grocery, I no longer go to Whole Foods. The produce is good quality and variety with lots of interesting canned/jar speciality foods from different cuisines, a wine shop, cheese section and all the usual grocery needs, but also unusual offerings like preserved lemons and other Middle Eastern items. The shelves are packed like a NYC bodega!

Alan Long: Mayflower does not sell fresh killed chickens. Their chickens come from a supplier in Delaware. Not even local to Cambridge! This is a case of false representation. We bought a chicken and it was good but nothing special compared with what you might find in a supermarket. It was missing a wing. We won’t bother going there again.

Nick Baras: Fantastic chicken at great prices. Also have fresh eggs. The place is spotless with out any bad odors like most butcheries. The staff is always efficient and courteous. I can't go back to grocery store chicken.

Well, sadly that's no longer possible however they have the best chicken period!This is the place where to ask if you're seeking all sorts of poultry, phasan, capon ducks. They also have pork, beef, rabbit, goat.If you're a true meat lover, you can find interesting cuts such as tripe.The butchers are always very kind and helpful. The perfect neighborhood spot!!Furthermore, they prepare food for cats and dogs too (raw diet). I do buy food for my cat there, but I usually cook it.

Em G: Mayflower is the best! The prices are wonderful, they take specialty orders, you can get a number of exotic meats and inventory - Louis always takes good care of me when I call and make a special request - I believe they also stock the chickens from Amish country so they're pretty good!

Martin Schwartz: I love this establishment. Always very fresh and clean. I have gotten many interesting things from here and it has really expanded my cooking palette. I used to love there jumbo brown eggs but sadly they were too pricey to keep in store. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Every time I find myself in Cambridge I make a point to stop in.
