CHA Cambridge Birth Center: what do users think?
Cadieja Joseph: Any women that are pregnant or even if you become pregnant in the future, I strongly suggest Cambridge Birth Center. Especially****WOMEN OF COLOR***I chose a water birth and it was the best experience ever. While pregnant they were so down to earth and attentive, my midwife didn't treat me like "just another appointment for the day" she really took the time to get to know me and let me call her all the time with my new mom questions. They give you a doula during labor and one for after birth to help and support your transition. While in labor it was the most supportive, calm environment (besides my screaming) lol and after they listened when ever I was concerned with a pain and acknowledged it with genuine care to make sure I didn't have any after labor issues. Which is an important issue for women of color and labor. They call to check in and sometimes just to say hi and see how we're doing. I had a visiting nurse that came to my house checked on the baby and sat and listened to all my "is this normal?!" Questions. They also provided a lactation specialist that will check in with you to help you with breastfeeding!Honestly best experience ever.Every doubt I had and all my nervousness they reassured me that I was a strong woman that was beyond capable and my body was beyond prepared for natures path. What was also beautiful to me is how they'd ask "But how are YOU doing? Are you ok? How do you feel"A lot of us aren't aware we have these affordable options in the state.
Lisa Liang Philpotts: Compassionate, LGBTQ friendly nurse midwives and staff who really take the time to listen to you. I received my prenatal care here and although I was not able to deliver in the birth center because I became higher risk when I went into labor, the transition to birth in Cambridge Hospital across the street was seamless.

CHA Obstetrics and Gynecology Center at Cambridge: what do users think?
TOBY BUTLER: Horrible staff, what’s the point in going to a hospital if they are going to treat you like a child and make fun of you for something you cannot control. it’s like the staff got their certificates from a cereal box.
Syd RL: I had an IUD placed by PP a few years ago and had a terrible experience- I had a lot of pain and the provider cut the strings too short. I went to CHA to get it removed and replaced, and it was much better than I had hoped. The provider talked me through the steps that would happen if she couldn’t find the strings. She used enough anesthetic and had great technique and repeatedly checked in about my pain level. I had to reschedule my appointment at the last minute and they fit me in for the same day and didn’t act like they were in a rush or I was inconveniencing them.
Jane Maksimik: Terrible service, terrible waiting time to get an appointment even when you have an urgent case. They still offer you only a Televisit which can be scheduled only in a month and which doesn't make sense at all. I will immediately be changing the organization.
Rachel: Not sure why others have given such poor ratings. I think they are making judgements based on one time interactions. I have been a CHA patient since 2005, and most recently entrusted my pregnancy care here. Not only have I received excellent medical care, my entire experience from admins to nurses, to labs, to Doctors and communications has been friendly, warm, and supportive, not just in the past 9 months, but over the last 15 years. I love the easy access to my Doctors and Nurses through the online portal, and get a lot of my questions answered there quickly.Through out this Covid pandemic, I have continued to receive excellent, excellent, care despite my long time OBGYN being temporarily re-assigned to cover Covid patients instead. Many hospitals in the area had to pull surgeons and other Nurses and Doctors as all-hands-on-deck was needed to tackle the Covid pandemic surge, including mine and reallocate them to Covid front. Despite all this I have so received excellent care! Thank you CHA!
Julia Hayden: DO NOT GO HERE. If you want professionalism, medical results relayed to you in realistic time frames, and a facility that respects you as a patient, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE. The staff here has owed me information from my procedure for over a week now and despite multiple phone calls made, I have yet to hear from them. They have been giving me the work around since last week and refuse to provide me with any information, only taking messages and saying “they’ll follow up”. LITERALLY GO ANYWHERE ELSE. They are not worth your time or money and shouldn’t be practicing medicine due to their lack of respect. Women’s health should not be an area of neglect!!
Fabina DEMEDEIROS: If you are pregnant and care about your baby's health and your !!AVOID that hospital ,I had the worst experience with Dr Jackson a obstetrician, we could notice she has no much experience!!Just repeated everything rhat the nurse had said. She just focus in how bad things can turn when u pregnancy. She really shouldn't work as a obstetrician. And the woman at the lab were taking a NapWhile one Girl was working on answer the phone, printing labels and collecting Material. She got mad because the poor girl had to interrupt her NAP time.I couldn't believe what I saw
Wendy Chacon: It's been a great And outstanding patient care. I'm truly grateful for everything. 🙏🏼

Boston Center for Pregnancy Choices: what do users think?
Colub Fogherty: DO NOT COME HERE!!! This is a fake clinic. I called and spoke with someone, and after that conversation realized that these are not real healthcare providers. they do not encourage any options or choice, they coerce and push pregnant people into carrying through with their pregnancy even if they do not desire to do so. They do not have any medical professionals on site, nor do they provide medical services. Do not come here, they have an agenda and its anti-woman and anti-choice!
Luisa Martínez: This place is heaven sent! Being pregnant and away from home without enough support can be really challenging! My husband found this place online as I didn’t have health insurance since I was not local. They made me feel supported and heard! The staff is really amazing and helpful! I got a referral to assess my pregnancy and to get health insurance. I was given beautiful and useful baby items for my baby girl. My baby is currently 7 months old and the staff and nurses from the referral place still check on us to make sure we’re doing just fine! I’m very grateful with all the support and help received in more than a year. I truly recommend this place!
The Director: Thank you for what you do. This place is for real and needed. they offer choice.
Sam Becker: Fake clinic, don't fall for it
Ali Sorrels: This is a fake clinic. They do not support women's choices. If you are looking for reproductive healthcare options go somewhere else. They are predatory and are seeking to hurt women.
LaVonne Rhodes: This is a FAKE CLINIC, not a medical facility. They are not required to comply with HIPAA laws so your medical information is not confidential. This is a coercive, antiabortion clinic with a clear agenda to prevent abortion. If you are looking for unbiased medical care please go to Planned Parenthood or a medical doctor.
Salt of the Earth _Light of the World: This is the most incredible team of warriors I have ever met. Despite so many oppositions and misunderstandings trying to shut them down, they remained focused on their mission and stood firm through the trials. Their success story is truly a miracle in which legacy will positively impact the city for generations to come.
Alty Vazquez: As a volunteer in this place for several years I am very pleased to see the kindness, care , and respect the staff here provide for women who comes looking for free pregnancy services as pregnancy test, women that need emotional support during their pregnancy stages due to the lack of support from their partner or because they are on their own. Also educational classes & videos on how to take care of herself during her pregnancy, and of the baby once he/she arrives are part of these amazing services.
Jeanette Davis: I would like to say that the staff at Boston Center for Pregnancy Choices is very professional and caring. Boston Center offers many services for people facing unplanned pregnancies as well an after abortion group which helps people struggling after making the decision to abort. The care is real here, for ALL people.
Lana Choucri: This place is a true safe haven for women who are faced with an unplanned pregnancy. Classes, counseling, referrals, baby items etc are provided at no cost to those who need them. I found some of the other reviews strange that say it’s not a health care facility and not to go. Mental health counseling IS a part of health care. If you need someone to talk your options through with, or need support and resources if you’re deciding to have your baby, the people here will show you kindness and offer support.
Danielle Ha: The people who work at BCPC are very genuine and kind. As a volunteer with them, I’ve seen the way that the staff cares about each individual that walks in and does everything they can to meet each person’s needs. Plus, their services are free to clients! Definitely worth calling them if you’re facing an unplanned pregnancy.
Karry Muzzey: Know that if you are looking for medical advice and unbiased information about choices related to pregnancy, you will not find it here. This center's main motivation is to dissuade pregnant people from seeking abortions.
Jade Eager: DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING OPTIONS FOR YOUR PREGNANCY! I found their indeed ad for an office job with them and they reveal that THEY ARE PUSHING WOMEN TO CHOSE LIFE. They do NOT offer abortion services. They require employees to sign an agreement to also push this and make sure they have the same beliefs before hiring them. check out my screenshots of the ad on indeed. I shared them to here as well, it just won't attach to my comment for whatever reason. Just click images and you should see it.Pregnant ladies, please do yourself a favor and DO NOT GO HERE! SPREAD THE WORD
Nina Alexandra: If you are in Boston and looking for post-abortion counseling, I urge you to come to this center. I read the reviews prior to coming and was afraid of some of the low ratings. However, I needed to go and now after attending counseling there I feel compelled to let others know that this center is here to help you. It does not judge, it truly is a safe space. I hope someone reads this and knows that you can get support and that you are not alone in this.
Amanda Frost: Called and realized they are anti abortion, regardless of your situation. They do not provide medical care at all! They also are NOT licensed or certified professionals in any sense! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Please go to Planned Parenthood or Health Quarters if you are in the North Shore area if you need actual support!!!!!!!!!!!
Kimberly Bowler: Thank you for the work you do. I brought a friend here a couple of years ago for a pregnancy test and she was treated with the utmost respect, love, and care. I highly recommend this place to anyone who asks.
Jennifer Fries: These are not doctors, and it's not a licensed health care facility. The name is deceptive.
Maggie Fryerwood: These people are not healthcare professionals. This is a crisis pregnancy center, NOT a health clinic. PLEASE, if you are considering your pregnancy options, GO TO PLANNED PARENTHOOD.EDIT: Since you responded, I'd like to ask a question. Where do you get the information that you provide to patients regarding abortion care? Is it medically accurate and evidence based? I'd love to know your sources, please. Otherwise, I am completely not convinced that you are not in fact a crisis pregnancy center.
Golden Tiger: This facility is misleading and does not offer support clients who are pregnant may be looking for including accurate information about abortion services or counseling support for abortions.
Melaney Fodera: So proud of this establishment and blessed they are here in Boston for families willing to consider their choices.
Katielee Brewster: I have had the best experience with everyone who works at BPC. they have helped me and my husband not stress about the little things that you really need when having a baby. The support and joy that has come from all the people who work there is amazing.. anyone who is struggling with how they will make things work with a new baby should definitely give them a call.. going to the classes there have become one of the best times for me and my husband as we prepare for our child.. we both live this place .

Mount Auburn Hospital - Center For Women: what do users think?
Trina Dinnar: My journey with this facility began in June of 2021. From day one, the office staff was mediocre at best. Scheduling was time-consuming and response time was slow or non-existent. However, Dr. Mackenzie has an impeccable reputation as an endometriosis excision specialist and it is only for that reason that I dealt with the terrible staff there and remained persistent in order to receive his care. I would rate the office staff one star if I could. Dr. M, on the other hand, is the best specialist in the field in New England. It was worth a 15 month wait to have surgery with him. For anyone looking to have surgery with him, be prepared to call the office repeatedly to get anything done. Much patience is needed, but in the end, Dr. M's care is worth it!!!
Elio Maggini: Once seen the care is acceptable. However, we have never been seen even close to on-time. Which is understandable but they should AT LEAST give feedback on how long the backlog is.....waiting an hour past our appointment with 6 other couples shoulder-to-shoulder is just not acceptable at any time and definitely not during The Apocalypse Part II.
Renée Ọmọladé: I’ve had three children with the midwives who are knowledgeable, friendly, and supportive.
Katherine Harrison: Do not come here. I had an IUD put in at this office and about a year and a half later, had some unexpected bleeding (like a murder scene amount of blood) so they sent me to get an ultrasound in the hospital. The ultrasound revealed that the IUD had embedded in my uterus which I had been warned was an uncommon but very serious condition. It wasn’t yet fully puncturing through, but if that were to happen it could be an emergency situation. The office staff and nurses I spoke to were EXTREMELY blasé about it. When I called to make the appointment to have it removed I couldn’t even get through to a receptionist until the next day when they finally called me back. The receptionist acted like I was having a routine removal and said nothing was available for a month. I had to repeatedly insist that this was just shy of an emergency and that this was noted in my chart. She made it very clear that she had no idea the severity of my situation and hadn't opened the notes the nurse left. Essentially I was left in a situation where I had to wait for them to get organized and get me an appointment or wait for the IUD to fully pierced through my uterus causing significant damage and bleeding so I could go to the hospital.
Maureen Curreri Collier: In reply to the woman, who stated the front desk crew were unhelpful and rude. This couldn't be more far from the truth! Nicole and all the ladies knock themselves out for patients, no matter how busy or stressful their day may be.....they are GREAT! Thank you ladies!
L: Horrible customer service!
Hannah Joyce: I am a patient of Dr. M and have had surgery with him for endometriosis. I cannot recommend him and his staff enough! They have given me the best care and significantly increased my quality of life. Kind, caring, compassionate, knowledgeable, professional are a few ways to describe Dr. M and his entire team!
Elena m: They had me reschedule a couple of times due to lack of availability of the NP. I had a quick and easy Telehealth call with Carol, but the day before I was scheduled for my procedure, my appointment changed time and provider. When I arrived for my actual appointment, the staff were all friendly and welcoming. Dr. Cruickshanks performed the IUD insertion and was very quick and gentle. Overall good experience, but be prepared to change appointment date or time. While inconvenient at times, the office is good with communication and I was able to get in on time every visit.
James Stockwell: Exalent
Leslie Wang: The midwives are fantastic and make you feel cared for and heard. I don’t think that people should rate this practice based on the front desk staff. I totally trust the midwives to deliver my baby in the safest way possible.
Akilah Stith: Friendly staff.
Jennifer Rykerson: Try to book an appointment called 4 times, the 4 times put me on hold. I said I am having a terrible pain and say she did not care she still did not have an appointment. Very bad customer service .
Mapenzi Raha: The front desk representatives are very unprofessional, rude and useless . No point of making appointment because of how busy they are especially after noon appointments. . . 2:00pm - 4pm one hour or two in the waiting area... Saturday appointment just don’t do it. They ask you to come 15 minutes early for no reason don’t do it. This place will give y’all the worst experience ever be prepared bring snacks and anything to keep you calm. I hope this helps you
Krystin Rines: Love my midwife!
Bob: They wont call or email you an appointment confirmation - really a ridiculous policy.
Melissa Barros: SUPER RUDE STAFF...They’re the first people you speak to as you approach the front desk and I just can’t believe how rude they are. It’s a shame because the midwives and medical assistants are extremely polite and helpful.
Weiqi Yang: I recently visited Mount Auburn Hospital- center for women for my routine OB visit. I was scheduled to have my 5 month ultrasound test. I showed my health insurance information to the front desk staff before the test and the nurse helped me order the ultrasound test. However, I was charged with an out-of-network lab test bill. I have contacted the office manager six times so far. Finally she responded me that she didn't know my insurance information. She said that there were over 800 different insurance companies and she indicated that it was my insurance's fault that it didn't cover this lab test. She also said that she couldn't submit an appeal for me because this was not her bill. However, I gave my insurance information the first time I visited the center and they should figure out which lab was in-network or out-of-network before sending the test. They should not send a patient test a random lab without checking the insurance coverage and let the patients suffer additional bills. The front desk staff is rude and unhelpful. The only good thing is that OB is nice.
Daisy Opanga: Love this hospital quick and get information you need right away very clean and nice hospital!!!

Aila Birth Village: what do users think?
Ashley Mitchell: For my husband and I, having a doula was about having support and advocacy during the birthing process. I'm a first-time mom and I didn't know what to expect, how many options I would have, or how to organize my thoughts and intentions once the day came. From our very first meeting, Jo was kind, organized, and a great listener. She gave us things to think about and addressed our fears and concerns all throughout the process. And, when I went into labor, Jo was not only a support to me but also to my husband- keeping in contact with him via text and encouraging him to rest since the process was so long :) We can't recommend Jo enough and we're so grateful for her expertise!
David Bloom: We signed up with Joann in the middle of the COVID pandemic for support with our first baby. It was wonderful to have Jo as an unbiased ear as we figured out what we wanted for our pregnancy and birth journies. Our little girl was breech, and Jo helped us with the emotional processing of the decisions to try to turn her and ultimately have a C-section. Even though Jo couldn't come the hospital with us due to COVID restrictions, it was great to know she was there for support whenever needed. Jo was also an amazing help as we transitioned home from the hospital, helping us figure out how to get through the nights, and also taking a shift so we could sleep. I could not recommend her more highly.
Alisha Patrick: We absolutely loved working with Jo!Hiring a doula during a pandemic for your first birth is slightly nerve wracking and confusing, but we are so glad we decided to work with Jo! We only got the chance to meet with Jo over video and email before the birth, but she made sure to learn about us, our needs, and our hopes for the birth and afterwards. When we met Jo in the delivery room, though it was a bit strange, it was like having an old friend coming into the room. She knew how to support both me as the birthing person and my partner. When my partner needed to take a break and get a snack but wouldn't leave my side, Jo said exactly what I would have and stayed by my side so they could take care of themselves for a minute. Jo was supportive and understanding all the way through. When I decided to change my birth plan after an exhaustive labor and get an epidural, she supported my partner who was unsure how to proceed and me through the mixed feelings I had about changing my plans.I could explain all the things she did to help us prepare for our birth, but I think what stood out to us about our work with Jo, is that she just understood us and helped us feel more comfortable throughout the process.
