I learned that when you buy a new tank or do a tank exchange (lots of these all over the place) you only get 15 lbs of gas, but the tanks will hold 20 lbs. American Propane fills tanks to 20 lbs, for $20, which will last a lot longer than if you exchange your tank elsewhere.

Christopher Wandell: These guys are crooks. They gave us 6 gal of propane today at $3.98 per gallon and when we went to settle up they charges us $72.00 when we complained they said they only charge one price per tank. does not matter if it is one gallon or 16 gallons. They said they would refund us our money and when we left they recharged our card for the lesser amount of $61.00 with out our permission. I will be making a BBB complaint and reporting them to the Revere dept of weighs and measures. Stay away from these guys!
