Mount Auburn Hospital: what do users think?
Jayonia: Ive lived in Cambridge all my life & as a black woman i know amongst my community NOT TO GO THERE. Heed this warning sistas.
James U: The providers I saw at Mt Auburn were all great. The billing office here, though is a total nightmare and why I will avoid this place from now on. I have had two separate issues, including one related to how a visit was coded that I went back and forth with the billing office about for 9 months. Part of the problem is that the people you talk to on the phone are not the people who actually review the coding issues, so I have never been able to get a clear answer about why my coding issue was not being resolved. Last I heard, my bill was being sent back to be reviewed by the coding people yet again, and I was told not to pay the bill in the meantime. Then today I got a letter from a collections agency for the bill, which to my knowledge was still under review! I’m so frustrated by this whole thing, I'll probably pay the bill which wasn’t that much anyway just so that I don’t have to deal with this hospital's billing office ever again.
Aly Eve Remmos: I've had both good and bad experiences here. I've always been treated very well for physical illness and delivering my son was great. However on the flip side I've gone to the emergency department for psychiatric reasons multiple times and that hasn't been as great. Understandable during covid when already stretched thin AND having to deal with me having a meltdown. Luckily it was only that one time a nurse was horrible to me (she was shockingly mean). Otherwise psych there is psych and it's never a pleasant experience.
Italo Brilhante: The wonderful place where my son was born , all employees were amazing 🤩 very professional. 1st world in quality and professionalism. Say hi to Bryan Brilhante 😍
Areeba Saeed: Pathetic service. I came to the ER with Covid distress, and they had no system to let the patient know about service time/delays etc. I sat there by the front door for hours, without any update on my status. If you go to the ER, expect to be in the waiting room for a min 3-4 hours, if not more.
Thomas Wheeler: Recently my youngest son was admitted to the ICU at Mt Auburn Hospital. I can only speak to that unit and the staff working there as it was the only part of the hospital I dealt with. Being from out of state, we were guided every step of the way by a social worker, the doctors, nurses and the organ transplant coordinators. Although it was a terrible personal loss for our family, everyone we dealt with could not have been nicer or more considerate during a time when we could barely think for ourselves we had so much support keeping us informed and truly felt they each cared for my son and our entire family.
Rosa Lopez: I gave birth to my son here and it was an absolute nightmare. Trying to recover from a C-section was near to impossible. Construction work was happening in the room near ours. Heavy pounding throughout my stay startled not only me but my little one. It was impossible to sleep or recover. We kindly requested a different room and had to deal with retaliatory nurses. The nurses were horrible. Rough with my baby and inconsiderate.Educate yourself and get an doula or an advocate of some sort to accompany you during your birthing experience. Nurses are nothing less than bullies who want insurance money.
Scooter McGavin: Despite the work they do, a lot of the nurses are rude except for the very few who are actually nice and helpful. Otherwise I don't approve of the practice that they use. They give horrible attitudes they don't give you all the information you need. We had our mother in there and they couldn't even tell us where she went. Even though I was a proxy. They lie and they don't treat their patients with care.
debra lister: Mount Auburn Hospital is a training hospital for HARVARD Medical and hold the highest standards for all staff. They are the most pleasant and compassionate staff I have experienced with high standards thru my cancer treatments. They make my Oncology and Radiation sessions bearable.🤗
jonas Patrolia: They took such good care of me when I came in, genuinely a great experience in a bad spot
Winifred Gardner: The nurses were angels from God but they played around a lot didn’t want to do any tricks to me but most of it is in the van I guess but I love it at Mt.Aburn hospital I’ll be back soon
Weiwei Zhang: I just came back home today and really wanted to show my deep gratitude to all of the nurses and doctors in MAH who have helped us welcome our baby girl! Particularly the nurse in postpartum center Kelly whose kindness and meticulous care made us feel at home! Thank you guys so so so much!
Robert White: Wonderful
Maya Townsend: We had a horrible experience this morning. We both have covid. There was no one doing triage or intake. We were asked to sit in the waiting room, where we stayed coughing and sneezing for over 2 hours. Finally someone walking by asked if I had covid and, when I said yes, told me that I couldn't be there. It would have been safer for all involved (patients, staff, etc.) if we had been quarantined. I can't believe a hospital would handle contagion this way. I also can't believe someone with covid would be asked to wait over 2 hours without talking to a nurse. (It wasn't a busy morning. There were only 2 others waiting.)
Vincent Bonasso: This was an enjoyable experience for me and my family. Dr. Connelly was a joy and the new CEO personally made sure our time was great! I will definitely be back!
Belmont Mom: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐FIVE big stars for DR. DANIEL BOURQUE for saving a life.Everyone else around him is a primitive, they gambled for almost a week up until Dr. BOURQUE showed up.
aaron M: I have been to this hospital multiple times in the ER. Everysingle time, you will be waiting for atleast 2 to 3 hours just to get the treatment you need for your EMERGENCY!!! This is absolutely ridiculous, worst hospital i have ever been to .
James D Caldeira: Very nice hospital and staff, courtesy of the upmost! 👍
Daisy Hernandez: Rudest people to answer the phone, I was not finished talking and I was getting attitude from her and hung up the phone worst experience ever.
Mary fields: If I could give zero stars I would. I went into the ER at Mount Auburn at the recommendation of my pcp who thought I was having an issue with my gallbladder on Monday. They did tests on me and nothing came up. I was in severe pain and they basically pushed me out of the emergency room and told me to go home. As they read the discharge notes saying when to come back to the ER, I said to the nurse "but I'm feeling all of those" she told me they couldn't do anything about it and made me sign the release and leave. As I was leaving, hunched over in pain, the same nurse says very rudely "you missed the left turn" . I went to my pcp the next day, who told me I needed to go back to the emergency room. I went to newton Wellesley hospital. They told me they were very surprised they didn't see anything from the imaging on my gallbladder because it was very apparent. I had surgery Tuesday to remove my gallbladder. Mount Auburn gave horrible treatment, horrible staff: this place should be closed down. The worst experience I have ever had in a hospital.
R S: Second time here for a colonoscopy and had the worst experience ever. Only the anesthesiologist was pleasant. Was practically kicked out after being woken from anesthesia in less than five minutes. Love my primary who is associated with this hospital, but would warn others from this department. Never again.

St. Elizabeth's Medical Center: what do users think?
Batoul Jaafar: They delivered my boyfriend more than 40 years ago. We have been together for almost 5 years. He is healthy, funny, lovely and caring. But he can’t commit!Your product is not functioning :// do you fix?
Janssen McCormick: A great place to be dehumanized as a disabled person by their third party parking contractors while you’re simply trying to visit your family member who’s receiving palliative care for heart failure and stomach cancer.God forbid VCPN or whatever doesn’t get their filthy lucre when your loved one doesn’t have the wherewithal to die at a decent hospital.
jenny smith: the people who answer the phones are really useless aren't they
IBRAHIM MERT OZDIL: My best friend has been inpatient for 3 days now and they don’t give her the needed medication and charging 3000$ per night. No therapists or psychiatrists. Stay away from here.
Sissie M: I had my baby here in March and I would not choose to deliver another child here due to a few reasons. My issue came with some of the nurses before after my baby was born.If you are pregnant and BLACK don't go there!!! They have zero compassion! I had a very bad experience there! They treated me badly and poorly. They made me feel like I had some type of disease! They isolated me!! Till today I am suffering with EMOTIONAL DISTRESS. I have PTSD because of my experience there! I was pregnant and had HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE they kept me there for a MONTH!!! I couldn't have no visitors! I was in jail!!!Some of the nurses I had during my time there are pure EVIL. Patient advocate was a joke!! After my C-section I had no help, the two PCA's or CNA's who works there were professional and phenomenal.I had couple of WONDERFUL NURSES.I am writing my reviews with tears. It's only been 5 months, I am still processing it.My baby got transferred, they didn't even care to wish us good luck, they didn't bother to talk to my husband as he was standing there like he was a ghost, we both cried and left. They IGNORED US COMPLETELY.Till today I am asking myself WHAT DID I DO TO DESERVE SUCH A BAD TREATMENT ??😭. If I had to choose a place to give birth and this Hospital was one of them,I would rather give birth at HOME. Very bad place!!!!!!DON'T GO THERE!
Alton Taylor: Been a patient for several years now. Extremely intelligent Dr's, Fellows, and the best darn receptionist I have ever met. ( Pain Clinic).
Amy Powers: Recovery room nurses have zero empathy&treat patients horribly. This hospital needs to be checked out by the state ASAP 4the way patients are kept prisoner after major surgery over 2 hrs.Asked for MD x2 ignored. Begged to be brought 2 my sister & ignored. these nurses should be fired & lose their licenses. One even yelled in my face & another was nasty and give me a hard time about trying to call my sister
Amanda Boudreau: So my Father in law is in ICU here and the person running the front desk today on Sunday February 5 at 1:30 with braids in her hair should not be the first face people are greeted with. They way she spoke to a man going in before us and then how she thought she was going to speak to us in the same rude tone. She was not happy when we called her out about how she is speaking to people.I will be calling hospital manager tomorrow. Now the nurses caring for my father in law in ICU have been absolutely awesome and so thoughtful.
Ron Chamberlin: Great service, wonderful and caring nursing staff and techs. Doctors are the best!
A Keo: Literally everyone from reception to triage to MAs RNs and Drs. were incredibly kind and made my experience so much easier
Kenzie Howell-Kroskey: If you love someone never ever send them to this place. If I could give lower rating I would. I went there seeking help and was only traumatized further.
macka dolittle: cardiology dept rude receptionist hung up before finishing conversation and prescription not refilled with out a reason why.
sam stone: Horrible place to get treatment or give birth. We Where humiliated and security was called, for the simple fact that for 9 months we where requesting a female OB and the request was disregarded. instead they brought in a very unprofessional frail , jealous ( jean noel ) what suppose to be a surgeon, that started to insult us and called security. This black individual is a racist that didn't like the fact i the father was white and the mother is black, AND caused chaos in the time of birth intentionally. BE AWARE OF JEAN NOEL i belive he has or works in other medical facilities andKathryn kravetz Carr, CNM.736 Cambridge St Boston, MA 02135Be very aware of this unprofessional midwife that works at Saint Elizabeth hospital in Brighton. We had our first appointment with Her and she was an hour and 1/2 late for the appointment. Left my pregnant lady and me in the room waiting for all this time without notice. All the way until the delivery of our baby, the service from this midwife was horrible. If you ever come across Catherine Kravetz carr, ask for another doctor or nurse as this person is a hateful snake. Be aware. And on top of all this they have fake accounts giving this lousy dirt bag a 5 star review and that account has 1 review. Fraudulent and filthy people all around. Be aware of this hateful person, Find yourself a decent midwife other than this Jealous person or this woman will abuse your children and family..
Corey Raynor: My mother spent five days at this hospital and thank goodness my sister was able to stay close by because the nurses are seriously understaffed at this facility. They forgot to take her catheter out right after her surgery, stating a doctor had to order it even though it was on her post op instructions. I had to remind them two and a half days later, basically chasing down a doctor to ask him, to ask the nurses, to remove it. My mother's discomfort and requesting it multiple times wasn't enough to get results. Then discharge paperwork wasn't signed by the doctor. Over the following week, my mom's assisted living director, my brother, and myself tried contacting staff to get the issue resolved. The patient advocate on staff gave me the wrong information and then hung up on me. The run around was overwhelming. Three hours of persistence today and I finally found a nurse who took the time to help me. A good nurse is pure gold in my book.Award winning hospital?? I listened to the recorded message so many times while on hold, a voice touting the hospital's award winning services by a compassionate team of professionals. But no amount of repetitive droning will convince me. Proof is in the pudding as my granny would say, and this pudding was BAD.
Gabriela Canete: good place
Julia Bair: An absolute mess for obstetric and postpartum care. Obstetric violence, lack of support for breastfeeding, zero respect for mother and baby. If you are thinking of having a baby here, I urge you to go somewhere else where you and your baby can receive more respectful care.I experienced repeated instances of obstetric violence delivering my baby in this hospital. Informed consent and the patient’s autonomy mean nothing — even when my partner and I spoke up loudly and said STOP, a resident anesthesiologist continued and performed a botched procedure resulting in weeks of suffering. OBGYN’s treated my body as an object, performing painful and sensitive procedures without ANY information or seeking consent, and endangering my baby who was on my chest as I writhed in unexpected pain. After giving birth, I read and investigated more, finding that some of these procedures are absolutely unacceptable through the World Health Organization and that these are gross violations of my autonomy.Postpartum care was even worse: pathetic, tragic, and endangering to the family. Nurses explicitly gave me false information regarding breastfeeding, saying “my milk supply wasn’t enough” and giving my baby formula before my milk even had a chance to come in. The lactation consultant simply never came — but meanwhile, every other person in the hospital came in constantly. We never had a private, restful, educational, or healing moment postpartum — instead we had continued disruptions into our private family space. Nurses told me horrible, incorrect information that jeopardized my mental health postpartum, like that my “baby was taking advantage of me” and that I was “too attached to my baby” (because I wanted to hold him when he cried). Again, these are things deemed unacceptable by the World Health Organization, and they are the reasons why maternal and infant care in the US is absolutely shameful.During pregnancy, the results to my gestational diabetes test were lost twice due to poor organization. I had to go through the test three times. (And this test has lots of side effects for the whole day).Coming to this hospital endangered me and my baby in many ways. Both our mental and physical health suffered due to this absolutely negligent care. A few decent nurses helped us survive, and I pity the work environment that these kind individuals go through each day. Thankfully I had the support and resilience to overcome the shameful “care” I received, but I urge any other woman to find a more respectful place to deliver your baby. The only good outcome of this hospital is that its pathetic care inspired me to begin studying toward becoming a birth worker so I can prevent other women from experiencing what I went through.
Kelly O'Keefe: Absolutely awful experience. My aunt went in for an ultrasound on her knee and they sent her to radiology. We had an appointment at 2:30. We get to radiology and wait OVER 30 MINUTES before they tell us we’re in the “wrong department” and they actually meant to send us to cardiology. Then they almost cancelled her appointment all together and told us we’d have to “reschedule.” They finally got the matter fixed and sent us over to cardiology. The whole ordeal took over an hour and my aunt was not seen for her 2:30 appointment until after 4pm. The only upside was the receptionist in cardiology was so nice and apologetic for the mix up even though it was not her fault. 0/10 experience and staff was all around rude, again, except for the receptionist in cardiology. I would rather let myself bleed out than come back here for medical care again.
Rafael Samuel: People are the absolute most friendliest. Highly recommend to all ❣️❣️❤️
Sybille Neuffer: After 5 hours still no doctor showed up. Ridiculous!!!!!
Ivy Luc: Be careful or nurses will talk behind your back when they think you are not listening. Very unprofessional.
Abdi Jama: Very hard got through the machine directory system, very to contact a human for services, impossible to get quicker services! Appointments are several months long with 5-8 minutes of services!
