Harvard Book Store: what do users think?
Randall Cook: Large, richly-stocked bookstore in the heart of Cambridge. It's an institution packed floor to ceiling with great titles. Definitely worth a peek if you like books.
Eric Lazarian: This store is on my short list of used book stores in Cambridge and I usually use this if I can't find something online, but it has been a while since I've actually been inside. I was tagged because I walked by it the other day and I really like this place as they are very good at special orders and they also have a way of doing print on demand books. At least last time I was there they did and it's very handy for that as well. And they also of course have a good selection of just new books as they come out. It's not my number one store but I am willing to give it a five-star rating and it's one of the better ones out there.
C Ertan: So brilliant, lots of LGBTI+ books on display
Nima Dehghani: Iconic independent bookstore....one of my havens to go to on a rainy day or a shiny day, winter or spring, noon or late evening.... knowledgeable and helpful staff, lots of wonderful author events.
Jose Foppiani: The Harvard Bookstore is my go-to spot for books – they've got everything from brainy reads to guilty pleasures. It's super cozy, and the staff know their stuff, always ready to recommend a great page-turner. And hey, those author events and talks are pretty cool too!
Sneha Nagarajan: Nice! A got a book
Kit Parker: I'm grateful that this store is still open.
Ruth Ann McKalip: Mostly clothes. Friendly efficient students at the register
Frank Laske: I've been a member here forever. I love supporting independent booksellers and this store is so great they make it easy. Wide selection of books. Discounts on the 'nifty fifty's, plenty of remainders and used books. Add in author readings! A lot to like!
Fathia Glaoui: Muy interesante
Joe Bauza: An extremely expensive experience barely anything less than 40.00. Caters to the 1 percent
白河310: ハーバード大学の生協と間違えて訪問しました。本の品揃えがすごくて、外から見ても楽しげな雰囲気です。知的好奇心が満たされる素敵な空間でした。
Christian Scott: Love the used section in the basement, real browsers haunt, dogs allowed. Some kid and gift items. Been there forever and still relevant
Magali Bertolazzi Vezzaro: Incontournable, c est sûr !Toujours présent malgré le temps qui file..... j adore et recommande avec les yeux du coeur
Mary Clark: Friendly staff, expansive new and used book collection, great range of topics/genres as well as select greeting cards and other items. Harvard book store is one of my favorite places to go when I need to get out of the house and do something enjoyable, because it’s easy to get lost in the aisles and spend hours here. They also have a rewards system!
Julieta Guajardo: I think it is a good place!
EvilNogard: An excellent independent book store! This place has all the hidden gem books you can imagine and has an offbeat vibe. This is a conveniently placed shop that is probably the closest you can get to magic.
ismail genç: 👍
Sara Naegele: Wow just wow! Visit this lovely bookstore in Cambridge!
Xela García: Tienda de libros en la entrada de la universidad, nada especialpara turistas
J B: Great independent book store in Cambridge. Huge selection and excellent staff and especially events.

Porter Square Books: what do users think?
Waleska Santos: I loved this place! ❤️it has a cute cafe and the book selection was great! The staff was super friendly as well!
Poojitha Shetty: Lots of good books around! There is a cute cafe inside called Cafe Zing. So you can scan books and also read them while drinking your fav coffee.
Amanda Judson: Always so helpful! And I love that there's a coffee shop inside!
Jonathan D: Very lovely bookstore. Shop local!A bit cramped but that’s because of its popularity. Coffee shop in front is a nice touch, but I didn’t have anything from it. Seems like there was a constant line for it the whole time I was there, so it must be good! Very kind staff and prices seem reasonable.
Doreen M: The place is very nice and lively. Good books, sit down and have a cup of coffee . Only thing, the place was packed . It's like a obstacle course.
Sona Roy: Great neighborhood independent bookstore. The staff are always lovely and knowledgeable, and the book selection is expansive. They were also great to use for pre-orders and pickups.
Angelina Schultz: I use to really love this bookstore and I got all my older son’s books from here. Back then they had a kids table and chairs with even some shareable toys as well as a giant teddy bear. Since Covid started however, they got rid of all the chairs, toys etc. It has become increasingly uncomfortable to browse books there (also contributing to this is the people trying to walk through to get to the restroom). I don’t understand why the table and chairs can’t return. Certainly I get the giant teddy could be a germ magnet! But to not have a place to sit and read a book to a child is a really shame. I spent yesterday trying to sit on their new (cold) floor and having my legs go numb as I tried to appease my 2 year old. PLEASE return the table and chairs! (And maybe while you are at it, can restroom users go through the other door near the science section???!!!) Why is it ok to have people push kids aside or step over them? (Perhaps because kids can’t advocate for themselves? I don’t know)
Alicia Rolsma: Great selection of books. The location near the T also makes it very accessible to walkers.
Abby Swaine: Moved bookcases to accommodate wheelchairs for a reading of a book whose subject uses one. Kudos!
Leslie Proudfoot: Such a nice little neighborhood bookstore. Lots of fun odds and ends to buy in addition to books. I also like the cafe.
Bryan Rust: Wonderful local book store. Has a coffee shop attached.
Barry Lewis: This place is an all time classic. Great staff and selection. Always crowded so the people know that this is one of the best book stores in the area. Highly recommended!
Robert Emery: Great local book store. They've got a nice section, friendly staff, and take orders ahead if you want to ensure you get that book and want to avoid the A word.
Cheryl Singleton: Love
Ryan Houlette: Great booksellers, great selection. I love my local bookstore!
Tom Thornton: They'll fill your order.
Richard Guinn: PSB is a very nice book retailer.
Sarah Smith: Employee owned Cambridge staple. One of the few brick and mortar book store left, and it's independent! The community wouldn't be the same without it!
Rholais Lii: Cozy bookstore with a small café
Pixie Rose: This is the best bookstore for people who really love books!
Vexton Intache: Amazing little book store dead center of all the action.

MIT Press Bookstore: what do users think?
J B: Great new location with an amazing selection of technical books including some great ones not from MIT press, but obviously the MIT press books are themselves a huge part of the appeal. Really nice new spot, I wish this bookstore was nearer to where I live, it's so wonderful.
Arthurious: A sleek, modern bookstore with a great selection of titles. Well beyond MIT Press own published books, the shop offers books by many more publishers and some obscure ones too.The design + architecture section is fantastic. I was able to find books on Finn Juhl and Poul Kjaerholm that are no longer available anywhere else. There are cozy nooks to sit and flip through the books and there's a restroom upstairs in the same building.
Steve Minicucci: Nice store with MIT Press and a thoughtful selection of other books. Very nice architecture section. Kids room seems very good too. Thinner on philosophy than older versions of this store, though and I'd like to see more bargains. In very nice new(ish) location right at the Kendall T.
Vironica: Nice bookstore just opp google building. It was too cool 1 degree and decided to go inside the bookstore to sit and warm up before continue our journey. Boston is a nice city. And also best toilet. Super clean and smell good.
Antoine Menet: A place where you feel most comfortable. Great book selection, great design, I love spending time there each time I visit Cambridge.
RJ: Brand new store stocked with all kinds of cool stuff
Juliana Castro Varon: Beautiful, cozy and well-stocked!
Lea Lakes: This is one of my favorite bookstores! Full of wonderful ideas
Jody Ranck: One of my favorite university press bookstores
Viren Tailor: Love this place and University. The energy and environment of the campus will make feel like going back to school all over again. This was my 1st visit of campus for my child and I am so impressed with the whole experience
Ignacy Michałowski: There are a lot of books of different topics. I can firmly say that I am going to visit this place more times.
Eliot Hertenstein: One of the best logos in the book business, along with a great selection of reading material. Their location is great, and the store is modern! I couldn’t be happier with a bookstore!
David Griffiths: Nerd central. Excellent selection of books, some on surprising topics.
Ed Chen: Public restroom at first floor. Be polite. Great books but expensive.
Rila: Good place to sit down and read a book
Analis A: Great bookstore!
Pascal Pfeil: Definitely worth a visit
Torrance Hale: Honestly can't wait til you guys open up again. I've been waiting FOREVER!!Edit:OMG, I can't believe you finally opened up!! Not gonna lie I first saw the bookstore when I was at Roxy's Grilled Cheese across the street. So I crossed the street to check you out, but by then you were already closed. I came back the next day, and lo and behold you closed up shop because you were moving and because of the COUGH. I was devastated.I'm so happy you're open again. I love coming in and picking up that sweet new-book smell. There's so many awesome books at this bookstore that I couldn't believe it when one of my high-end friends said that you also sold real MIT curriculum-level books as well. Interesting.....🤔 Maybe I won't be needing to go to college and go into huge debt and become another statistic.🤔 Or maybe I do. Because how else am I gonna be a high-level corporate baron fleecing my fellow man into oblivion???I love you, MIT Press Bookstore. Thank you!!
Muhammad Naufal: newly opened bookstore with decent collection book from MIT press and other publishing
Greg Trost: This place is more museum than bookstore.
I‘m “Rohling”: Übersichtlicher Shop mit interessanten Büchern zu unterschiedlichsten Themen auch Kinderbücher sind vorhanden. Keine Merchandise Artikel. Die sind im MIT Museum oder im richtigen Shop.

Bromer Booksellers and Gallery: what do users think?
Jim Misko: I have been a collector of rare books for 3 decades and have never been in a shop with such fine employees. I brought my 20 yo son who had never been in a similar setting and they immediately attended to him and helped him to feel comfortable and appreciated. While they are not the largest antiquarian bookstore the volumes they own are carefully curated and chosen for people with budgets from $50 to $50,000. I have no other relationship to them except as a customer and get no discount for my opinion (I wish!). Much luck to them. Ask to see the Picasso miniature!! Jim
Krystle Lee: The best little store! The friendliest people willing to help and share their knowledge. I had a great time. It’s part bookstore part museum/gallery.
Franchi Majluf: Lovely little gallery! It's small but I could spend hours perusing through the collection. Their tiny books are unlike any others I've seen before. Highly recommend!
Shirley Whitaker: I had a wonderful time at Bromer Gallery. Magnificent collection of books, art, and educational opportunities for the entire family. My artwork is so professionally placed and attended. Thank you for the opportunity to present: An Artist's Reflections on African-American Life, Culture, and Trials
Timothy J. Stevenson: The Best!
Venkat Neelakantan: I reserved a very rare book yesterday via phone and today I got an email from them stating that they sold it to someone else. I am quite stunned at this poor work ethic. They are the first bookseller I have dealt with who has not honoured the 'reservation' system. Shameful!

Boston Book Company: what do users think?
Johnn Laing: Ok
Albert Tahhan: In 2016 I purchased from Helen, the proprietor of the Boston Book Company, the manuscript edition of Henry David Thoreau. This is the cloth edition and remarkably, it still had the dust jackets from 1906. Having seen at least one hundred sets of this edition over forty years of Thoreau collecting, this is the finest example I had seen. Helen made me feel welcome. At the end of the deal, I thanked her with a kiss to the cheek. Thanks Helen!
Conrad Carpenter: I called seeking information about resources for selling rare books I had inherited and was coldly hung up with out any chance for a conversation.

Brattle Book Shop: what do users think?
Natalie D: This is such a great little used book store close to Boston Common! Outside you'll find racks of stickered books for $3-5 (a mix of fiction and nonfiction) while inside they have different sections and topics of books (hardback has the price written inside the book, paperback on a sticker on the front cover). Always worth a look to see what they have and also take a look at the rare books which have sold too! Condition does vary like all used book stores but I think the books are priced fairly and the staff are always friendly!
Alvaro Cervera: Amazing place to browse books
Enrica Finotto: I have been there last summer, I think I spent almost 3 hours inside it, reading ancient postcards form all over the world unknown people wrote to their relatives and friends! It is a really fascinating place. Enjoy!
Mathieu De Bastos: A book worms dream, 3 floors and an outdoor section filled with all sorts of works. Worth going even if you don’t plan on buying anything.
Tetiana Shekhovtsova: Interesting Book shop
Heather Casto: Felt like the best book yard sale ever. There is no organization of books, yikes, but awesome selection and prices
Nick W: Very cool bookstore. We checked out the alley before heading inside. Some very interesting finds including Gulliver's travels (pictured). I asked how much it was out of curiosity but he didn't know off the top of his head and I didn't want to make him open the case. Worth checking out if you like books at all.
Eric Johnson: Large used bookstore with many unsorted $1 to $5 specials in an outdoor lot. You can make some great finds early on a good day.
KASTURI BARDE: Found this gem while exploring the area close to my office. They have rare, vintage books as well as sale books out in the alley. A book lover’s dream!
Ivan Corona: I was in Boston for a Business trip and I noticed this cute little library in a alley while riding an Uber to the hotel. I couldn’t even make it to the hotel, I had the Uber driver drop me off a few blocks away. For a moment I thought I wouldn’t find it again but I was lucky to find it and wow, such a cute and random experience. I spent about an hour searching the outdoor shelf’s and then went inside to check out more books and all the antiques they had inside. I brought a couple books and returned home with a cute memory.
LH: Tolle Buchhandlung mit einzigartigen Interior und super fairen Preisen.
Sharanya Sarkar: A pretty unique book store!
Karla Plascencia: Such a unique way to buy books. I really like the fact is outdoors. It has a big variety of books at a cheap price.
brian holzhausen: Cool place to look at books.

Josh Roberts: Delightful bookstore, all sorts of fantastic used books.
Sònia Díaz: Llibreria amb molts llibres de segona mà a preus excepcionals. Hi trobes autèntiques joies.
Brendan Deeney: Wonderfully unique bookstore with a lot of history, and a great collection of books. One of the best parts of Brattle is the outdoor, discounted book selection that they set up in their spare lot next to the store. Racks and racks of $1,$3,$5 books to browse on a nice day is a wonderful way to kill an hour. Highly recommend you stop by and see for yourself!!
Terry Wendelken: Another good stop to look for a book in Boston. You can turn around and lose two hours in this place so look out! The outdoor books is a good stroll.
Peter Blaikie: Amazing selection of great priced books. I highly recommend it.
Deborah Proulx: Amazing. Best part of my trip to Boston.

Seven Stars: what do users think?
Hedi S: This is an important institution for so many reasons. Love the books, the people are great. I feel my mother's book collection is now safe in their hands to find new owners who will appreciate them in the future.
Dee Bee: Hands down the best occult section in any book store in America. Unbelievable selection. So many books I literally felt like a novice and couldn’t even choose between them. Will have to understand my own needs better and return!! Much love from Canada:)
Abbie Hughes: Great experience and super helpful staff! Book selection has stuff from all sort of points of views religiously, politically, etc. I love that it feels all hand curated while still having a wide selection. I’m chronically ill and was having a flare when checking out. The workers were so patient with me checking out as I was trying to remember the different between my credit cards security code and PIN number haha. I hope to return next time I go to Boston!
Veronica: Many of the things sold inside are fakes, and I told the boss about it, who was very dismissive. And this boss is very arrogant, as if he is God, no respect at all, calculating, afraid of their own less money. The price in the store is ridiculously expensive, really better to go to Amazon to buy. A piece of stone is expensive as hell. And the store environment is very messy, do not like at all. The owner is very rude and you have to make an appointment with him to do anything.
Amadeus: what a great place! the selection here is fantastic - books about western religions, eastern religions, new age paganism and spirituality, philosophy classics, autobiographies, memoirs, politics, etc. on top of that there's a nice crystal selection here. I like that they know 'opalite' is glass :) the two employees I've met are quite nice and laid back too. after I came here for the first time I came back with a friend.
Aleron Diamante: I have been looking forward to visiting this store for a year and a half, and I was absolutely amazed by the diversity and quality of these books. This is a fantastic store for anyone interested in building a collection. The service here was wonderful, and the books will go beyond your expectations. If you are hesitant to go, I would urge you to go see this store; it is a brilliant place for education. On a scale of 1 to 10, the Seven Stars bookstore is above 10 out of 10. This store, true to its name, deserves more than 5 stars. For anyone curious, this store also has a variety of crystals and sage. I am deeply impressed, and you will surely love this place.
Yahaira Medium: Wonderful people, great selection of books, and crystals.
Renee Hanley: One of my favorite book/crystal shops around!
Mely: It's a great place to go if looking for gem stones
Bill Dougherty: Huge collection of esoterica; lots of general reading and academic literature also.
nissa rahim: The best Book store I have ever been to. The staff are so helpful and kind. They helped me ship my books to Dubai since I did not have the weight to carry in my luggage a few years ago. One stop shop for all ur spiritual books My favorite shop 3
cheer: This is the only bookstore I've ever been to with a 9/11 section. I love it.
M E: One of my favorite haunts in Cambridge. I have been a client for over 15 years. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful. A large variety of various crystals, books and other essentials. You meet the most interesting people @ Seven Stars. I noticed that if the book I am looking for is not in the store if I sit around long enough it ends up showing up the same day (give or take a hour or so). You could also ask the wonderful staff at Seven Stars to also order the items you are looking for. Blessings to all!
Talib Kweli: Ive been to just about every bookstore in Massachusetts and can say pretty confidently Seven Stars is the best. In my opinion its not even close. The owner is a true book lover and has a deep deep knowledge and collection. If you want an obscure treatise from a 14th century Sufi Master, or if you want the complete Shobogenzo, or if you want a rare commentary on the Nag Hammadi library, or if you want the work of a German Idealist, or an 18th century magician like Elphias levi, and so on and so on, theres realy no better place then seven stars. Its a treasure trove. Ive probably spent over a thousand dollars there over the years and am addicted. I work in the area and literally cant stop myself from going in. Im in there maybe three times a week
M Dupré: This is the main reason I ever visit Cambridge at all. They have the most amazing selection I have ever seen.
Jim Connolly (Barefootin'Wanderer): Great shop with large variety of polished stones and crystals..books of every type and more
Emily Diaz: so many crystals, so much variety. i am from chicago and the prices are way better here! i got red quartz, botswana agate, sardonyx, pink tourmaline and lepidolite for only 16 dollars. Here, one lepidolite is like 8 dollars, so its good this place has good prices.
Raquel Salois' Le Beauty Boutique': My daughter Olivia. . . I love this Crystal Store it has so many gorgeous crystals!!Livvy -!✨✨⭐⭐😀😀💕💕💕💕💖💖🌸
ʕ •ᴥ•ʔRa: Reasonable price and a very organized cute friendly crystal store
Judy Y: You have to browse through the diverse selection here both books and crystals. The owner is helpful
Christine: my favorite shop in cambridge!
