Arash Hamidi: As a visitor of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), I had the incredible opportunity to see the Alchemist sculpture by Jaume Plensa. This stunning work of art is a true masterpiece, with its intricate design and towering presence. It is impossible not to be moved by the sheer beauty and creativity of the sculpture, which serves as a powerful symbol of the power of human imagination and innovation.The Alchemist sculpture was installed at MIT in 2011 as part of the university's 150th anniversary celebration. It was created by Spanish artist Jaume Plensa, who is known for his large-scale sculptures that explore the relationship between language, culture, and identity. The sculpture stands over 30 feet tall and is made of stainless steel, making it a truly impressive sight to behold.What I find particularly impressive about the Alchemist sculpture is its ability to inspire reflection and contemplation. As a visitor, I was struck by the beauty and complexity of the sculpture, and I found myself thinking deeply about the themes and ideas it represents. The Alchemist is not just a work of art – it is a profound expression of the human spirit and a testament to the power of imagination and creativity. I feel honored to have had the opportunity to see it in person, and I will always cherish the memory of this incredible work of art.

COSTER SCOTT: Was enjoyed a Sung Tieu show at the List recently (Wednesday April 5th 2023), - it’s quite beautiful and moving. My thought was that the work didn’t elicit a feeling of isolation - the effect (mostly due to dark ambient music) was pensive, yes, but the space was also quite open. See pictures. The List desk lady told me dismissively that I didn’t understand the work (and couldn’t) because I wasn’t a refugee or seeking asylum. I’m not seeing a whole lot of people seeking asylum here, and quite certain nobody would “get” this work if it didn’t have an essay explaining it. The place is like that these days.

John Ta: The space is really nice but This place is barely functioning. They call it bio art but all I see is sand on the ground and vomit on the windows. This place must be a money laundering or tax haven loophole cos I see nothing. Word around the campfire says it was funded by bill gates and Jeffrey Epstein. 2 stars cos it’s free.

Trey Color: It is a beautiful building but they had some very strange artifacts in the art gallery. The woman who let us in was very helpful in telling us about why they were in such a closed status (covid precautions good for them) and recommending things we should do.I want to go back but I surely would not visit the same gallery once again. I'm sure if I had to pay for it I would have been upset with the trip to the gallery. Maybe if I had read the description it would have been more clear, but I could not even be bothered to do that.

Niloofar Ojani: I discovered this store while engaging in psychogeography around the neighborhood. The interior is very well designed; there are many options for ceramics and a couple of other for dolls, oven mitts, jewelry, etc. The prices are above average (some items are more reasonable that others.) I had the chance of conversing with the owners, and learning a thing or two about the city. I felt very welcome there. Even if you're not planning on shopping, check this place out :)
