Hunter Ashley: As a mentor at Leangap, I was able to learn alongside the students about the entrepreneurial world and what steps it takes to bring a viable idea to a prototype stage. This program was very empowering to not only myself, but also to all the students. I was personally astonished that at least one of our teams started making sales before they even left the 2017 program. Any parents who are looking for a summer program for their aspiring youth should know about this opportunity! This really is a one-of-a-kind summer program!

Evan Russo: Went to this program for 2 years and in all honesty there is no other way to describe my experience than dreadful. The staff simply do not care. On several occasions I have seen the secondary teacher for my particular class either playing poker in his phone or just flat out asleep. Another issue I'd like to bring up is just how incapable the staff are at diffusing situations. If a student was clearly (and rightfully) upset about something or simply just shares their opinion and the teachers just don't want to hear what they have to say, their solution is to send that student to "planning" which is literally an empty room with a single desk. The type of treatment you'd expect out of an insane asylum rather than a special education program. Another issue with the program that I've experienced on multiple occasions is the pure lack of communication between staff and their superior. Prior to leaving the program for one that has done more than exceed my expectations, I had discussed with my teacher that I would not be coming back for the following school year, expecting him to notify the director of the program. About two weeks later I was talking with the director and brought up thatI wouldn't be returning and he was surprised to say the least. I then had asked him if my teacher had mentioned this to him at all and he said that no one made him aware. Yet another example of how poorly run this program is. On several occasions I've heard staff make snarky remarksabout students while the particular student was not present in the room. Now let's talk about the educational aspects of the school. For starters, they teach the exact same curriculum every single year over and over again without even bothering to change up some of the questions. For the history class (if you can even call it that) they'd simply throw a video on the smart board and that's about all. In all honesty this program was quite literally a waste of two whole years of my education. This school does the bare minimum that it has to in order to get by and that's it. If youare considering sending your child to this program I strongly suggest you reconsider.

Exclamation !: As a former student here, I can strongly encourage not to go here. The higher-ups do not care about the wellbeing of the students, and the clinicians will break confidentiality at a moment's notice. Despite the title, there is nothing "therapeutic" about this school. If you need a therapeutic environment, you're better off going somewhere else.
