Robert Marquales: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I made an on-line reservation for a cab from my house in Cambridge to Logan Airport a day in advance for a 3:30 PM pickup to make a 5:30 flight. I was waiting in front of my house at 3:20 – no cab by 3:45. I was getting very worried, so I called dispatch. After four tries, someone finally answered the phone. I told them I was very concerned about making my flight, and asked how long it would be until my taxi arrived. The dispatcher told me that if I wasn’t in front of my house on-time, the cab would leave. I told him I was there, and that the driver had my cell phone number, but didn’t call. I asked politely how long it would be to get another cab, and the dispatcher told me “I don’t have anything, call another company”, and hung up.I was getting desperate, after trying several other cab companies with no luck, it occurred to me to try a rideshare. I downloaded the Uber App, and had a car in front of my house in five minutes. The ride was great, and I made my flight. I will never use a traditional taxi company again.After reaching my destination, I called Cambridge Taxicab for an explanation. Three calls to three different dispatchers each met with incredibly rude responses. It’s like they’re trying to kill their business.There is a reason why they get all one star and five star reviews. Alisa Vasilevich: I called yesterday to ask for a fare estimate, the man who picked up was extremely condescending and rude. He told me it was "disrespectful" to ask what the fares were because Uber and Lyft were more expensive during that time of night. He said this cab service is something I need to use consistently without giving me any explanation and also hung up on me when I was speaking. I am also new to the city. Great to know that their "friendly and knowledgeable agents," as it states on the website are the exact opposite. I don't understand how turning potential customers away intentionally helps your business but hey you do you, no wonder cab services are dying out.
Justine Graham: I scheduled a taxi to the airport for a 4am flight. I got an email confirmation that they would be there for the scheduled pick up but no one ever showed up and I didn’t even get a phone call. Thankfully I had built in extra time and managed to get an Uber. DO NOT schedule rides with this company. They are unprofessional and can’t be trusted with something important like this.

Rob Ackman: I booked a taxi a a week in advance to go to the airport. The cab showed up the next morning. I told the driver that I needed the cab in 5 days. I sent an email and received confirmation that I would have a cab at 7am on the 26th. On the day of the 26th, no cab came to my house. I called the number and left a message. No one called me back. Fortunately, a neighbor gave me a ride to the airport and I made my flight. This company is a joke.

Brie Frame: Phone number listed does not reach Cambridge Taxi Cab; it goes to Green and Yellow Cab of Somerville. We learned this when our reserved taxi to the airport (at 4am!) never showed up, even though we got a confirmation email. So we called the listed number and reached a different company, which happily had someone available 8 minutes away, so my mother (barely) got to her flight on time. Does Cambridge Taxi Cab even exist?

I called them after 45 and she hadn't even given my information to a driver! Absurd. If I had any other means of getting out of here, I would. And this is not the first time.
Gretchen Putnam: I was driving on Mass Ave in Cambridge 2 days ago. I was stopped at a red light and there was a Cambridge Checker cab behind me. The cab drove around me and into the intersection, paused and then drove through the red light. When the light turned green I drove along behind the cab and we got to another red light. The cab stopped for a few seconds and then drove right through the red light again I got a photo. License plate- 719 DCab #91.
Kutlwano Mzwinila: The worst cab company out there that will take advantage to those new in the Boston area. Cab number 175 is rude and useless! Do not use them!
Elaine Cannavo: This is so far the best Taxi Company I have taken Uber and Lyft and no they are not any cheaper then Taxi. And with the reputation of these Timeshares not being regulated no full background check they are against Fingerprinting but Taxi Drivers do it. Lyft and Uber do not have a Hackney License what is up with that. Just because they drive their own Vehicles makes a difference. It should not especially if you are picking up passengers. A lot of Uber and Lyft are not fully insured at all. And they also have raped women up until two weeks ago. A Lyft driver raped a young women. Please sometimes cheaper is not always better but Checker Cab they take they follow the Leader by their License Fingerprinting and insured. And they are Regulated. None of which Uber and Lyft wanted to be they fought against all that. And Governor Baker allowed this without any regard for women's safety getting into someone's private Vehicle without any Regulation. Thanks Governor for women's safety Vote him out.

Scott J: I wish I could give them a "0". Last Friday on Valentines I took my wife & kids in to Disney on Ice. We parked at the Cambridgeside Galleria and had dinner. As I had 2 kids (7 &4) and it was 20 degrees out, we could not walk to the Garden so I grabbed a cab (Checker Cab). We got in the cab. The guy REFUSED to take me to the garden unless he could go the LONG way through Charlestown. I told him it was a quick ride past the Museum of Science, but he knew he would not make a huge fair by going that way, and refused, making us get out of the cab and leaving us on the side of the road, with 2 young kids & 20 degrees. I will NEVER EVER use Checker cab, and I recommend that you never do either. They are the absolute WORST cab company in the city.

Andrew Turco: Do not use this service. It is not a taxi service. Driver showed up 22 minutes late for an airport transport. They charged $60 in advance and I almost missed my flight.

Derek Ellison: Have taken this cab several times in the early hours of the morning to be taken to the airport. Phone staff has always been available, even to make very late-night time changes. The taxi has always been at the scheduled spot, waiting ahead of time. I have found them to be reliable & timely, which is what matters if you are trying to catch a flight. I do recommend.

We don’t recommend this number at all, we think it is illegal operation; we refused to take it, so be careful. after I read another reviews sound right ,RIP OFF! Do not use these guys. They have several websites and several numbers that all ring into the same dispatcher. They will quote you one price for the trip, then raise the price $50+ when the cab picks up the party. When you call the dispatcher back, they won't answer the call. The guy who posted below is right, there really is no Somerville Taxi. This is a total scam.
