Pemberton Tennis Courts: what do users think?
Alpaca K: The courts are great but wish there were more of them!
You Zhou (Zhulaobing): Good tennis court and basket court. Only problem is so many people waiting in line.:(
Melvin Mathew: The courts are good. During summer months it's usually pretty crowded. Try going during odd hours.
sandro lafontant: Great place to play Tennis 🎾 and Basketball 🏀
Ralph Chang: Before Covid-19, these courts were open All the time, meaning they were never locked when i wanted to get in. However, they are not lighted all night. I have used them over a period of about 15 years. In summer, the lights go on around 8 PM, are on for about 2 hours. As a partial lockdown is still in effect in Cambridge, the courts are officially open only from 9AM to 5PM as of June 14, 2020.There are 4 separate tennis courts(allowing 4 games at same time) and 3 basketball courts. It's not a new or newly remodeled facility, but it is perfectly adequate, clean, and well maintained. Also, just outside, there is a green wall that people use to hit balls at for practice and there's no fence around that wall.If you're sensitive to noise, you might find the railroad track around 20 or 25 feet away from the courts a problem, as from about 8 am to 8 pm, a commuter rail train passes by around every 45 minutes. Doesn't bother me.
Erik Schelling: Would be nice if they reopened the courts
Robert Godkin: Great courts, lights come on eventually
Elena Cañadas: Very nice courts, clean, in general very good condition, except the one on the extreme right. The floor was not even, and the net a bit broken. The train passes next to the courts (not very frequent) what can be a bit disturbing. Otherwise, nothing to complain for free access to acceptable courts.
Yan Ge: Decent courts with some lighting, can be crowded when weather is nice
Aman Kumar: Very nice courts!
Pedro Correa: Pretty good place, closest place to me that as a wall and 3 other courts. Only thing that annoys me, is some parents go there with their kids and the kids ride their scooters behind you while you're playing (and of course they dont tell the kids to ride somewhere else)
John OC: Great place for community tennis
Alex Fishman: Really illuminated nice tennis courts. There is also a half court with a wall to hit off. Three awesome basketball courts with lights here as well. Some of the best public courts in the Boston area!

Boston Tennis Lessons: what do users think?
Sanjiv Jivan: I have been taking lessons with Ronald for the past 4 months and my game has improved significantly. I went from struggling to hit a clean forehand in the court consistently to now having a dominant forehand and overall better movement around the court thanks to Ronald's excellent teaching skills. He's a great coach dedicated to teaching others full time and is 100% engaged throughout the session and in the early stages when I was struggling he would give feedback on every rally point - "racquet too close to the body, reaching, turn more on follow throught" etc. He gave me drills to practice between sessions and communicated well on text messages. Once you take classes with Ronald you'll quickly realize how good of a coach he is. I continue to look forward to my sessions with him as I grow and improve on my tennis journey.
Asya Bashina: Roland is an incredible instructor that tailors his lessons to the student and your physical abilities and strengths. Roland has turned me into a 3.5 player in a year, having come in as a complete beginner. I feel confident when I play in the USTA Social Leagues and when I rally with people locally. I have had a variety of tennis lessons, like NetResults (aka No Results) but Roland is the best there is.He goes the extra mile for his students - literally. He's overall awesome to work with and a great person to have in your court. The lessons are fun both from tennis perspective and personally! They're my weekly therapy.
Bassel Said: Roland is a fantastic coach. I started playing tennis last summer, and started lessons with Roland in August. In a few months, I picked up the basics and made great progress. He gives great feedback and analysis. I would recommend him to anyone looking to pick up the game or get better at it.
Brenden Gibbons: As an intermediate player looking to step up my game, I started lessons with Roland a few months ago. He started by first analyzing my serve, groundstrokes, and volleys and correcting several technical issues, taking care to explain both how the issues would keep me from playing my best and how the corrections would help throughout the process. These tips and corrections increased my consistency immensely, which is great because that has always been a huge issue for me in the past.Roland's focus then switched to strategy and tactics, with most lessons being a mix of drills and point play. I was, and continue to be blown away by Roland's insights on how to win points. His years of high-level play pay dividends in that regard. I've learned so much tactically from Roland that I feel like I now have a chance against players who are faster and stronger than me.I can't recommend lessons with Roland highly enough to anyone looking to improve their shot quality, consistency, strategy, and confidence!
Ryan McGovern: I’ve been playing tennis nearly all my life but consistency has always been an issue of mine. Since taking lessons with Roland, I have already made drastic improvements to my form and consistency in 3 sessions. He is practical and gives honest, applicable, and accurate feedback to improve your game. I would highly recommend him to players of any skill level.
Harvey Alberg: I have been playing tennis for about 45 years and thought I was pretty good. Then I met Roland. He has an amazing ability to see what needs to be done to improve one's game. Since working with him, I now understand that there is so much more to playing than just hitting a ball. Not only has he improved my technique but has given me so much insight regarding why I am doing what I am doing. What a difference it makes.Roland is the best!
Yaroslav: Roland really helped me improved my game. When I first met him I had major consistency issues with my groundstrokes. Since he started working with me, he made adjustments to my form and as a result, my level of play improved pretty dramatically. He keeps things simple and as a result improving is a lot easier. Also, he pays attention to detail and that was critical to my development
Soxette74: Excellent instructor. He's very affable, patient, communicative and insightful. Great at pinpointing what you need to do to improve upon whatever aspect of the game you're struggling with. Highly recommended.
Julia & Will: Roland has been teaching my sons since last summer and has been a great coach. He patiently corrects fundamental mistakes and stresses consistency. He will also sometimes give strategy tips; or when there is a disturbance, like the wind, he will give tips as well. If nothing else works, he may devise creative solutions to help fix the problem. Both kids have improved their form and technique.
Smita R: Awesome tennis instructor! Very patient and technical! I played tennis earlier without the correct technique and taking lessons from Roland has definitely improved my game with the right technique. I highly recommend him!
Qing Shi: Great coach with specific technique and work with players strength to develop better game/strategy.
Jerry Abrams: I have owned and operated tennis clubs for many years. Of all the tennis pros that I have met Roland is the very best. He has all the required skills for a tennis pro, He is an excellent player, has great technical knowledge and has a patient and caring personality for teaching. He is very good with beginners, children, intermediate and advanced players. As a former A player whose age had caught up with him a little, I still train with him once a week and I am still learning new techniques from Roland.
Lilupa Munindradasa: Roland is a great coach to work with! He builds up a solid technical foundation with interesting and effective drills that pays off soon. I've been taking lessons from him close to a year now and I'm seeing consistent improvements in my game.
Dilupa Munindradasa: Roland has a systematic approach to his lessons. Learning tennis is something that can't be rushed. Roland is very patient with his students. I've been taking lessons from Roland for months. As a beginner I was able learn the proper techniques from Roland and improve my game. I would highly recommend Roalnd for both beginner and expert level players.
Pontus Olofsson: I started playing recently by taking lessons with Roland and my game has gone from close to non-existent to competing with level 3 and 4 players in just a few months. My groundstrokes have become much more consistent and we are currently working on my kick serve. Roland has my highest recommendation.
Billy G: I have been looking for a tennis instructor with Rolands qualities and feedback for a while now. He has been instrumental in giving me the training to elavate my game to a more advance level of play. I would recommend him to anyone from beginners to advanced players.
Nancy Novak: Roland is a fabulous tennis instructor! He is patient, kind, and extremely knowledgeable about the sport. I started taking private tennis lessons with him approx. 4 months ago. I was a total novice and beginner, and never thought anyone could help me improve my game. He has taken my poor performance of lobbing balls over the fence to playing like a real tennis player. My game is improving faster than I thought it would, all due to his great tutelage. As I improve, he constantly provides me with new instruction; all the while gently reminding me about checking my body placement and swing when they deviate from norm and become less than “on the ball.”He is always punctual, and makes it very easy and convenient to play at any location that I choose, and at a time that works best for my busy schedule. His prices are very reasonable considering all he provides to his clients, and in comparison to what other local pros and tennis clubs charge.I cannot recommend him enough!
Dmitry Frenklakh: Roland did wonders with my overall game. I had worked with him for the past year and my skills improved dramatically. I was a beginner when I first met him and now I am able to play with much more advanced players. He worked a lot on the grips, footwork, and technique. He makes the lessons easy and simple which makes learning a lot easier.
Roman A: Roland does a great job teaching the game. I have taken many lessons in the past and saw very limited results. My game has improved a lot since I started working with him. I had a tough time just hitting a few shots into the court when we started. After 6 months of lessons with him, I am able to now routinely hit 7 8 balls in a row on the run. I went from a struggling 3.0 to competing with 4.0 players relatively quickly. I would highly recommend him.
