Katherine: I went to pick up my order this morning and a young white lady with long hair was helping me at the counter. She was very enthusiastic and greeted everyone who came to check out, but when I passed by, even when I tried to be nice and said "how are you", she just looked at me indifferently. While checking my ID, she just took a very quick look and then gave me my order. When I left, I realized it wasn't like my stuff, and when I went back to the store to tell her, I didn't get an apology. Handed me the order with a deadpan face, as if I was interfering with her day. I don't know if it's because I don't buy a lot, or racism so she doesn't think we don't worth her service? I was happy when I arrived, because I found many niche brands to choose from in the store. Maybe I will try other stores next time, but I prefer to choose the official website of other brands instead of accepting some people's scorn here.
Ashley K: Was my first visit - just got an Ulta card. This store and the Salon are excellent because of ALL the staff and management team ! My hair appointment with Alda was a life saver ; my hair was a burnt wreck- Alda worked a miracle! Immediately my hair is healthier and brighter. Alda styled my mess into a beautiful blonde so that I’m ready for my island vacation !!!! Easy to see the girls at the salon really have fun with making people beautiful with makeup design/ tutorials, kids haircuts, styling- this is the best Ulta !

As a regular customer, I have come to rely on your store as a convenient and reliable place to shop for my needs.However, the early closure on 12/19 was a major inconvenience for me. I had planned to stop by your store to pick up some essential items, only to find that the doors were already locked. This caused me significant frustration and inconvenience, as I had to go out of my way to find another store that was open later in the evening.

One of of a sales associate asked me if I need a help so I was happy to get some help but Instead of providing prompt and efficient service, the sales associate wasted my time by walking around the entire store, showing me products that were completely irrelevant to what I was looking for.What was particularly frustrating was the fact that the store had a section with product-minis that were perfect for my needs, yet the sales associate did not even bother to show me this section. After wasting more than 20 minutes of my time, I finally went to the cashier to make a purchase, only to find out that they did not have any bags, not even a small one for a gift.Despite mentioning several times that the product was intended as a gift, the staff made no effort to provide me with any options to wrap or package the product in a suitable way. As a result, I left the store without making a purchase.Overall, is better not to offer help at all if you are unable or unwilling to provide it.

I’ve had only one time where they were not able to exchange an item that I received from the warehouse. Even if there was something not within their power to do, they say it so graciously that one cannot ever be upset with them. I went to Ulta because my birthday just passed and I was hoping to not only buy a new lipstick but also get my reward. When I was ready to check out the cashier Katya was very friendly, I didn’t want to just put my items on the counter and I actively made the effort to place my items in her hands. As I was about to check out I was surprised she didn’t see about birthday reward so I asked her. She told me “did you get a email” at at that point her expression and voice changed as if I had personally done something to her. Mind you, this its been a whole year since I got my reward. I forgot there was an email I had to show. In my shock I was unable to find the email ( which I did find later) She gave the birthday reward to me anyway but very rudely. I wish my reaction wasn’t delayed. I would’ve declined getting it because of the way she treated me. First off I wasn’t lying about the reward, I didn’t even know what it was and when I found it.. it wasn’t even worth it. Second if you’re going to give it to me with an attitude then just save it. Ulta, please get on the same level as Sephora where your customers account shows their birthday reward is available. This will avoid rude employees giving attitude to their customers.

Sam l: Very rude employee. I was spraying a bottle that was already opened and assumed it was a tester. The employee ran up to me and started screaming at me that I’m not allowed to spray it and continued to yell at me. She grabbed the bottle from me after yelling at me with so much attitude. The most rude employees there. Never going there. She had long curly black hair and fair skin. I had never ever experienced such a rude employee there. I expected her to come up to me and inform me politely that it’s not a tester like any employee would. So unprofessional and rude. You don’t get paid any extra to scream at me. Horrible customer service. Never coming back and telling all of my friends to never go to the Westwood location.

A lot happened during this appointment, but For starters, she was 45 minutes late. She left my head soaking in the bowl for 3 HOURS. Then when I told her I wasn’t happy with the final look because it was ORANGE & even darker than it was before the appointment. She told me it would fade. Since I’ve been getting my hair bleached for 5 years, I was aware that the orange would not fade. I called back after a week to try to reschedule something & she was extremely unprofessional, yelling at me over the phone & unwilling to help me speak to someone else. Very unpleasant & uncomfortable experience with Franchesca. Do not book with her. However, management was helpful in helping me book an appointment elsewhere.

Ang H: I would give it 5 stars, but I feel absolutely suffocated when I enter this store. I feel bad because I know the employees are made to interact as much as they can with customers. There is this one woman, and i don’t think she works for ulta directly but maybe for a brand? I know that I can never enter this store in peace without her following me around, staring, and trying to force me to buy or try a product I’m not interested in. If you ask me if I need help and I say no, please do not approach me again. It was to the point today where I had to go to the opposite side of the store to browse because I did not want to interact with her any longer.Goethe than that, the employees a here have always been polite and helpful when I need it.
C Dillon: I repeatedly asked for a fair skin powder. After weeks of waiting, a dark powder arrived. If took almost a month for the exchange. No big deal except I was excited to not just use it, but hide everything I see wrong, Ultra does f right by it's customers. I'm certain it was an oversight, however, was annoyed because of the distance.

Ana Vilma Walkowiak: I am not one to post reviews of businesses often, but I feel when something goes Beyond and Above all your expectations, due recognition must be given. I was at this Ulta location in Peabody, MA on Saturday morning, looking for a formal makeup and hair for my brother's wedding later on that afternoon. I had traveled from 3hrs away the night before, and figured I could just walk in and get a quick "do" for hair and face before heading to the wedding that afternoon. I spoke to the manager and she informed me that appointments are usually booked weeks in advance and they booked until 4:30, which would be too close to the wedding start time for me. I was saddened to hear that but also understood my lack of planning was to blame. That was when Betty, a hairdresser who was nearby, offered to help. She had some appointments that afternoon, she said; but between processing times and sudden cancelations, she had some time she could squeeze me in for some curls and asked Shristy the makeup lady, if she would have some time for a quick makeup and lashes. I cannot express how amazing these ladies were, they both worked together to make sure I left that afternoon looking like a queen and made such a huge difference in my day. I promised I would post photos of the final result so they could see it with the dress. I hope Betty gets the recognition she deserves, without her I would have not looked and felt so confident on my brother's special day!

Catherine Baird: I had a fabulous experience at this location and want to shout from the rooftops how awesome it was to work with Rebel — I lost ALL of my makeup when on a work trip and ran to Ulta as soon as they opened to replace all of my products. Rebel was super helpful and knowledgeable about every product and even showed me a few new tricks and tips while I applied my makeup in the store so that I could be presentation-ready. I finished my look in my car in the parking lot of the store and felt confident and cute when I returned to my work event. I am grateful for Rebel’s time and expertise!

Also Betty is not pleasant to work with at all. It's a shame that all the best talent has either relocated, were let go or all and all didn't come back. Now, in a world that is all black and white it seem that the world of cosmetics just dips so much in the world of pigment of browns. How else can anyone get a contour. I don't think you can contour with concealer and foundation. Usually concealer is a lighter shade. Its a nice location but would be better suited at the Braintree Mall. That mean more diverse foot traffic!
Laura: This is fine as a store but I just got the actual worst haircut of my life here. First of all, we had like a five minute discussion about not giving me bangs. Guess who has bad 2007 side bangs. I want to be clear here I have hair past my shoulders and bangs were a choice on her part. And then she left me partway through my haircut, which I had an appointment for, to do someone’s eyebrows? And then at some point along the way I got upgraded to a “signature” curly haircut instead of regular, even though I reserved a regular curly cut and got a pretty basic non curly cut that she butchered. Like they’re supposed to cut dry and go “curl by curl” and I immediately got washed and then chopped. I also kind of have a shelf layer. I’ve literally never had a haircut this bad before and I used to go to famous hair.

Olivia Needham: Very disappointed in the brand reps occupying this store. I asked them to take me to someone that could help me find a tarte concealer and she decided to do it herself. She was not a tarte rep and did not know how to do her job. She told me to look in the mirror then coaxed me into sitting in the chair to “color match” me but ended up applying her brand, Lancôme’s foundation all over my face, getting it in my eye. She was forcefully telling me my skin was not in great shape making me feel already insecure after asking for help. I felt very taken advantage of as at the end she had told me she worked for lancôme and that she thinks it’s best for my rosacia… which i didn’t even tell her I had. Which made me even more uncomfortable. I told her I did not want anything on my face because I would break out easily with my sensitive skin but she continued to do what she wanted without really. Overall feeling really disappointed and taken advantage of my time when the make up she “matched” for me did not even look remotely how I wanted. She completely disregarded everything I had to say and made me extremely uncomfortable.
emmalyn: really rude employees.. i was with my friend shopping and when i went to checkout i noticed the employee (loudly) addressing another employee that she found an empty kylie lip box and the staring straight into me and my friends eyes.. then accusing my friend of stealing her own makeup she had in her hand and wouldnt let her go until she had proved it was hers. everytime i go to an ulta im disappointed at how many workers follow you around the store giving you no personal space or accuse you of stealing. it's honestly an issue. this lady also stared me down in the parking lot after i had left

Arianna Russo: I walked in to return an item that was broken/cracked upon opening it which I wasn’t surprised by because I had actually used one of the testers for this item in the store and it was also broken.The woman who helped me continued to say that’s so weird while standing behind the counter but not really helping me. I was planning on doing so myself, but she suggested I open the product infront of her before I leave as if I was lying or something?? The whole thing was just super weird. I brought her the broken tester and promptly left. I’ve also worked in retail and so I know she could’ve not made it seem like I was just pulling a fast one on her.
K Vakarian: The staff at this Ulta were incredibly helpful when my friends and I showed up looking for products. Rebel in particular was very kind and spent a good 45 minutes with us, showing different foundations and how to match them to our skin and everything! 5 stars from me! 3
Kassandra Arocho: I will agree with the previous reviews. You will not be greeted or asked if you need help at this location The staff at this Ulta doesn't seem too care. I asked a member of the staff for a product that online states was in stock and she was very unpleasant and came across like I was bothering here. This Ulta is close to home but I prefer to the one in Hingham or Westwood as they seem to genuinely care and when you ask for help they want to help. I keep giving this locations chance but I’m all set.

Remy R: Way overprocessed/completely fried my hair, felt almost melted. On my way out, a guy(stylist who worked there) smiled at me, and it was not a nice smile :/I could say the overprocessed hair was my fault, but I did ask beforehand if my hair seemed healthy enough, and the hairdresser is supposed to establish the health of your hair beforehand anyway. peggy p: Bright clean spacious organized store. Employees are always very nice to interact with. I love that this location is next door to a Trader Joe’s so I can grocery shop afterwards. If you need a haircut, I highly recommend Janice! Got really lucky upon relocating to MA that I found an amazing Stylist on my first try. Usually it takes me many tries with many disasters to find the right stylist. I never have to worry about a bad cut EVER with Janice and my hair grows out beautifully between cuts. Getting hair or brow services also gives you reward points (nothing beats Ulta’s rewards system!) so it’s a win-win all around! I’ve stopped shopping other beauty retailers as much ever since I discovered everything that Ulta offers.

They gave me a crash course that truly saved the day! They reiterated how generous the return policy is which made me feel comfortable with all of our new products. We ended keeping most of them because Delia and Stacey have such good advice we loved everything! I will 100% recommend them to anyone in the future. He was doing his best, but even with a few customers, there's only so much one person can do. Ultimately I was unable to find a hair product to do what I was looking for and left without buying anything.Considering how Ulta is one of the biggest targets for shoplifters, I can't imagine this lean staffing model is going to work out well for them.
