Nayeli Ortiz: Terrible customer service. Whoever runs this hall is extremely disrespectful and thought they could call me and hang up on my face because I didn't book the hall. Threatened to call the police because I told him to speak to me in a correct manner... very disrespectful. I would not recommend whatsoever.

Lynne Dewey: We went to an after funeral gathering on a Saturday, midday. Clean, bright. They have Keno, restrooms, lottery machines, and friendly bartenders. They have an outdoor area with tables and chairs attached to the main room.Finding this place may be a challenge. It's behind a building and you can easily miss the entrance. They do have covered parking in back, but I'd also think about securing a spot on the street. Even better, do a dry run before your event, if possible, especially if you're going at night.

Aaron S. Weber: This is a private club but anyone can join. It looks a little closed off at first but it's a friendly spot. Very much an "old man bar/rumpus room" vibe that sets it apart from the hipster places in Davis square proper.

Entrance for non-members is around the back of the building, up the stairs. Don't let the locked front door throw you off!

Paula Webb: Place was fantastic before all the bikers showed up. Friends of (biker) members have become aggressive with current members family members (both adult and adolescent) a place that used to feel like Cheers where everybody knows your name is more like a biker bar full of degenerates that cant handle their alcohol. Its really a shame.
Darwinsom: Amazing location modest interior. First please map the route there because it comes up suddenly, can't be seen from the Blvd. It's kind of a "hidden Garnet" if you will. Given there are a bunch of scary confusing road/baby highways in front it's shocking how quiet and private it suddenly feels. It's across 'hell roads" from BB&N and if it helps think of it as near the backside of Mt. Auburn Hospital.There are several spaces: large event space next to what feels like a pub and a spacious outdoor patio. If you fill up the outdoor tables there's still river room.It's an American Legion Hall got it? Looks like prewar housing but functions well. Don't expect a big space or decor or enough bathrooms; remember it used to be mostly old dudes drinking beer on Sundays (when we had blue laws) to get away from their wives.We held a Peabody School reunion party there and had plenty of room but heck who's around for a 40th reunion?Bartender was a hoot and made us feel very welcome. Plenty of space to lay out buffet. I would love to rent it for an event if I ever have an event!
Joseph O'Connor: Frequently host Techno and House events. Seems like an unlikely place for this. Staff are jaded, but in no means disrespectful. Definitely would visit again. They offer a location for privately hosted parties.
vonb: A good spot and convenient location by the river. If you are a veteran and member of the American Legion then you will have access to this place, or you may end up here at one of the many public events it hosts. Great location and views.
