Ceila Z: I found every staff member including receptionist, vet tech, and vet: compassionate, knowledgeable, professional, and communicative. When my cat sprayed gland fluid on Dr. Widman's laptop she didn't even bat an eye, just cleaned it up. I highly recommend this practice especially since there are no dogs to terrify the feline patients. My cat was more comfortable here than at previous vets. I found nearby parking with no problem. Masks are still required afaik.

When Toby had to go on a low-carb diet, she sent me an online link, so I could choose appropriate foods.And when my guy needed urgent care, it was always easy to schedule a next-day appointment. In short, for kitty care, Cambridge Cat Clinic is the best around.

P T: What started off as good, quickly turned bad!Was banned from practice for not wishing to bring an elderly cat outside in sub-freezing weather, despite calling with notice on one occassion and after not being able to secure a Lyft ride in order to get there. Telling someone "Well, if riding in a car, the cat will not be outside all that much" and then claiming that the statement was about the well-being of the cat would apprear to be more about the $$$. What these vets have gotten away with since COVID is not to be believed.

Amelie Kharey: Dr. Levine is a cat expert and so good with our kitty! It's really nice to have a cat-only vet; you don't realize how much wrong dog-based advice and diagnoses you get at other vets until you've seen the other side. Other vets should really bill themselves as dog-only!

Austin Wigley: About 3 to 4 years ago our cat escaped her kennel on a walk to our local vet and two very helpful people helped me recapture her as she ran between buildings. They were veterinarians, as it turned out, and a few months later they opened Cambridge Cat Clinic on the same block that my kitty escaped me.They're awesome, caring, gentle vets. They clearly love cats in particular and have been quick to respond to anything I've ever needed. I don't know what else to say other than that they're my favorite vet in Cambridge or Somerville.

It is true I might not have made the switch to this further-away clinic without the health issues, but im really glad I could make the switch when needed.I cant point to one single reason for preferring the cat clinic, but I can point to the outstanding folks working there. Every part of the clinic felt more comfortable and clear than my previous clinic. Questions are answered thoroughly, and throughout the process I feel everyone (answering the phones, intake, the veterinarian doctors, etc) is extremely supportive, compassionate, and effective. I still believe my previous vetenarian clinic was full of knowledgeable and loving animal people, but cambridge cat clinic has been a wonderful step above for cat-specific care.

Jane Forbush: The care we received from Cambridge Street Animal Hospital was phenomenal! I took my 3 year old dog to CSAH in December because he was lethargic and spitting up a bit . He had a couple other vague symptoms, along with a 4 lb weight loss that our previous vet had discounted as insignificant.The doctors at CSAH carefully and methodically diagnosed my dog’s condition. They outlined the steps and explained each step clearly. Most important, their diagnosis was accurateand now my dog is thriving!These doctors are absolutely the best. They work together as a team and I was always treated kindly and with respect. My dog responded positively when he was examined and wasn’t afraid to go in.

Diana Harris: We switched over to CSAH after dealing with what seemed to be a persistent Giardia infection/diarrhea in our 7 month old puppy. Dr. McCullough was able to help us get our pup feeling back to normal in less than a week, after 3 rounds of treatment at our previous vet with no real improvement. I didn’t feel rushed at all during our appointment and Dr. M made sure all of my questions were answered before I left. They also followed up with me multiple times to see how the new regime was working for our guy, and got us in next day when we originally reached out for an appointment. Lastly, Charlene did an amazing job on our first full groom for our boy! Very glad we found this place

mary marrone: Dr McCullough is outstanding! I recently rescued a 15 year old dog with a serious heart murmur. His teeth were a disaster and he had a large lump on the inside of his leg that caused discomfort when he walked. None of the veterinarians that I consulted would remove the lump and do a dental, stating it was too risky at his age and with his heart issues. Dr McCullough, said she could do his surgery and dental, it was simply a matter of following specific surgical protocols. He had his mass removal and dental on 12/6 and came home the same night and is doing great! Staff here are the best!

Rory Allan: I am so fortunate to have Heal as Lucy's vet.We've previously had VCA Brookline (immaculate facility) and Newton Animal Hospital (intelligent, compassionate clinic), and both have been exception, but Heal is truly some place special.The son of a neurotic mother, poor Lucy is subject to my hypochondria. Where many vets may dismiss or challenge my concerns, Dr. Leef and team are patient, educational and empathetic. I feel heard and respected, and I feel my vet is a partner for my pet's health and are focused on the right care for Lu. I trust Heal when they guide me and take the time to help me understand everything from acute treatment options to long term care.The office staff are so kind and caring for Lucy. The calm and pet-loving nature of the office is a welcome change from loud and anxious waiting rooms, cold linoleum floors, steel exam tables and fluorescent lights. Comfy couches and floor-level physicals are much more our speed.Lu was at an emergency clinic for a sudden limp last night after the zoomies (hopeful soft tissue injury). I'm grateful for the immediate care we were able to get for Lu, but I couldn't wait for Heal to open so I could ask about her discharge meds and paperwork. Kindly, the receptionist looked realtime. "Yes I see notes here sent from the clinic, we'll have the doctor take a look and get back to you if there are any concerns." We talked through the safety of the meds and agreed one could be given only as needed. Once the radiology results come through, they'll reach out with any recommendations.Thank you, Heal Vet, for being our vet and for everything you do for all your patients.

Max Lein: Caring, kind and knowledgeable staff. Easy parking front or back and a great system for admitting patients or picking things up. Fair pricing and they are wonderful about following up on care and happily offer recommendations and advice over the phone if you need it. We also previously had to euthanize a cat here and they made it as comfortable an environment as possible and were really compassionate. Definitely my first choice.

Maria Kim: We found a lost budgie with a numbered tag. We tried calling around all of the animal shelters within and outside of Belmont, even some animal hospitals. They were either closed for the weekend or not answering their calls. The ones that did answer told us there wasn't anything they could do for an animal outside of their range. The budgie passed away soon after and that's when I found and called this hospital, where they kindly said they could take him in and try to help find his owner or at least look into burials. We were so completely lost on what to do but this place was the first place that offered to help and I am so deeply grateful. If I were a pet owner I would want to take my pets to this place for any kind of checkup or treatment.

Diane McLaughlin: I switched to Heal a few years ago after a bad experience with another veterinary clinic. Everyone in their office are amazing. One of my dogs passed in March and they were with us every step of the way, checking on her while she was sick, etc. After she passed, they sent us a card. Not just a standard formality card...an actual greeting card and every person at the clinic signed it and added a personal sentiment. I was so touched that I cried. I live in Medford, so getting to Watertown can be time consuming but it's so worth it to our family. If you're looking for a Vet clinic, run, don't walk to Heal!

Firstname Lastname: My doctor sent a prescription over. My doctor told me that I might want to call them and see if it was covered under my insurance or if they took my insurance. I called there they didn't have my number so they asked me for my number and then proceeded to just throw my number away. So like a week later I'm like okay well you don't have my medicine in stock what's up like you know what's going on you had to order it and then they tell me oh well we didn't have your phone number so we couldn't get a hold of you. Oh you couldn't get a hold of me so you couldn't contact the doctor that was the prescribing doctor to say hey we don't have this patient's number to get a hold of them meanwhile the the medicine is being withheld from me and then when I called the first time when we discussed it whether my insurance was covering it or not they told me it was going to be $20 I go in there it's $45 twice as much. I don't recommend I mean if you're sick and you have a problem don't depend on them to get you your meds

I needed a specialty medical item a compression sleeve for someone's arm not as common as you would think many pharmacies do not want to supply them probably because of technical issues. Skenderian Pharmacy where Joseph Skenderian, helps me he was very knowledgeable took time to explain everything. In a time where medical professionals are rushing you through procedures and appointments outstanding to have someone that cares and sincerely wants to help you.

Cheryl Marceau: I'm calling around to get a price for a compounded medication that Medicare doesn't cover. I have to pay out of pocket if I want this at all. They insisted they had to have my prescription in order to run it through my insurance company. I told them I've already had it declined by Medicare so I am going to pay cash, and I just want a price so I can compare. They insisted they had to have a prescription first. I'm not going to ask my doc to waste their time sending out prescriptions to every compounding pharmacy just to get a price. The pharmacy closest to where I live has already given me a price (without asking for a prescription). Other compounding pharmacies will provide pricing. Of course I'd send the prescription for them to fill it.....I just want a simple price. Which tells me they price the stuff depending on which insurance plan you have. That's so wrong, in so many ways. Not a chance I'd go to them now.
