Salem Witch Museum: what do users think?
John Morrow: Visited on Weekend Wait time Up to 10 min Reservation recommended Yes Price for adult entry $11–15More
Stephany S: Very disappointing!! There's 2 shows but no exhibits. The Giles Corry display is completely inaccurate. I don't understand why a museum would display him pressed between 2 boards when He was forced to lay in a shallow grave and a board placed over him. I asked staff about this and she couldn't tell me what actually happened. You shouldn't have staff running shows without having the correct facts.
H H: Not really a museum and it's kind of a crime to charge $17.50 to just listen to a recording. There really was no demonstration or presentation by the employees. There was no historical items to look at. The store is free to access atleast. The pressed penny machine only took credit card and was $1.00 but it does supply the penny. However as an avid penny collector, not having the ability to put in the quarters and penny and spinning the gears takes all the fun out of it. Go early yo avoid the mass crowds. We visited in late April and still big groups of people and unruly teenagers. Save the $ and just research Witch trials yourself.
nameless: Super cool and educational experience.Visited on Weekend Wait time Up to 10 min Reservation recommended Not sure Price for adult entry $16–20 …More
Eduardo Maurizi (Personal): Worth visiting. Incredible part of our history and amazing lessons for current and future time!
Michael Lettiere Jr: Great place to learn more about the true witch trials. The stories and accounts of those accused brings a deeper understanding. The staff were so polite and very knowledgeable.
Paula Jaros: Was a fun museum, after all you are in Salem. Glad I had a library pass to get tickets, and make sure you bring it with you.Would have liked more things to read about what went on. Sit on the stools so you can turn with the presentation, it’s easier than the benches. Saw it once won’t go again there is no need to , if you have seen it once you have seen it all.
Tammy Babcock: Replication displays but over rather quickly. It was informative.Visited on Weekday Wait time 10–30 min Reservation recommended Yes Price for adult entry $16–20 …More
Julio Herrera: Really felt the intensity of the history of the Salem witch trails, our tour guide was amazing!!
Pramodh H N: The witch museum runs you through the witch's information for every 30 mins. There are no scary idols or pictures except for items to purchase.Visited on Weekend Wait time 10–30 min Reservation recommended Yes Price for adult entry $16–20 …More
ערן הרטוב: We arrived at 4:31 PM for the last tour that started at 4:30 PM. They refused to allow us to enter. One big disappointmentVisited on Weekday Reservation recommended No …More
Jessica Dapson: This was the only museum I had planned to visit and got my tickets promptly the morning of. The check-in was nice and easy, the wait was reasonable. I noticed a couple of families with young children…one toddler-aged and the other perhaps preschool-age. Being a parent myself, I understand how important family experiences are. However, once in and seated for “the show,” I was astonished that these children were sitting through a 20-minute or so experience where there was dark discussions about judgment and death, and I believe even hell. One part of the show has a spotlight on a man being crushed by 800 pounds of stone and then the show closes with a hanging—a mannequin standing with a noose around his neck. I sat there thinking that these young children surely would be traumatized or have nightmares at the least. I am mentioning this because as an educator and parent, while I see great value in the approach this museum takes, IMO the experience is more suitable for children over age 7. As for the experience, it was a neat approach…however I left there saying how I would have LOVED to see re-enactors performing the various stories under the spotlight instead of set-designs with mannequins and a narrator. I know the aftermath of COVID still impacts the field of employment and number of explorers an industry struggles to retain…just food for thought. There was a timeline after that along with photos…it was nice, but as one who is well-versed in both world and U.S. history, I felt that the timeline had a few events I would have left off and should have included a few moments/events in time that were relevant. The gift store was cute. Staff was competent.
JoE.: ...👍🏻👍🏻.
Corey Benoit: Great Museum
sagrario ortega pantoja: Te cuentan la historia con escenas .
Heidi Brooke: Not a place for children. I enjoyed it but it wasn't very longVisited on Weekday Wait time Up to 10 min …More
Bethany Luciano: Absolutely terrible and boring for the money. As well as started late . And another thing ,The young ladies at the front had people with tickets walk back out side around in the rain even with babies to come back into to the same room which was the waiting room instead of just lifting the divider.. like one thing to make me go around with grown children but down pouring rain and making these be babies do that .
Vera Lazutkina: The museum was interesting and experience was good in general, but probably we were expecting a bit more from a such famous place. It doesn’t have too much exhibits, the museum focuses more on an interactive tour that tells the story of witchcraft.

Em Par: I got to say I was pretty disappointed when my friends and I were done with our tour. The outside of the building looks very intriguing but sadly that's about as interesting as it gets. They give you a brief amount of information about the witch trials in a dark room full of wax displays then take you into another room to discuss the topic of hysteria through out time. As much as I enjoyed the discussion and topics, I feel like I could've logged onto my computer and had learned the same information. Not to mention my biggest wonder is why its called a museum. The only historical object that was shown to my tour was a 1st edition wizard of oz. Which is cool but I paid over $50 a person for that and a discussion. No thanks.
