Elaina was hired as a coordinator and from the moment we locked in our contract, she was there for the random questions I had or to provide reminders on the minor details most would forget. Not only is she extremely organized and helpful but she is able to offer sound advice when you might not want to bug a friend or family member. Elaina was amazing at taking the reins and working with all the vendors we had leading up to and on the day of our wedding. It is truly so nice to have someone handle all of the extras during your wedding day like moving decor from different spaces, returning any personal items to your room during the events, and even holding your bouquet (which was pretty frequently haha). But I will try and capture our experience because hiring Elaina and Revel and Joy was by far the best investment we made for our wedding!We began working with Elaina about eight months before our wedding. We had chosen many of our vendors and signed contracts already. She smoothly and seamlessly picked up where we had left off and began working with our vendors to make sure everything was clear and on track. She thought of every detail and asked great questions to understand our priorities for our wedding. She guided us in a very gentle way to help us create our perfect event. When I questioned “do we need this?” she thoughtfully answered and reassured me that not everything on Pinterest is necessary for everyone. It’s easy to get carried away while planning a wedding and she definitely helped us stay on budget and not get carried away with “stuff”.She handled everything with our vendors and met with us monthly to check in and get our input on anything that needed it. As the wedding approached, we spoke more often and she was always available to answer my questions and handled all the last minute things that inevitably came up. She was always calm, always professional and handled all the many details so that I didn’t have to stress about anything! She communicated with our vendors and wedding party and created a detailed timeline so that everyone was very prepared and clear on the expectations of the day.Elaina made our wedding such an incredible experience. We were truly able to be fully present with each other and our family and friends. She and her team took care of everything and made sure that any issues were dealt with and everything stayed on schedule. They set up and cleaned up and made sure we got all our things into cars at the end of the night (and I didn’t have to carry anything!)If you are wondering if hiring a full service planner is worth it, I will tell you that it absolutely is! Give yourself the gift of being able to relax and enjoy your wedding!
Emma Eaton: We got engaged in May 2020, and being the oldest siblings in both immediate families and the first couple of the majority of our friends to get engaged, we were lost on where to even begin with planning a wedding. Fortunately, Alex’s aunt is the owner of a florist company, Copper Penny Flowers (Concord, MA), and Jennifer kindly passed along the names of some of her favorite wedding planners in the Boston area. Among the list of names she provided was Elaina, and Jennifer’s direct words were, “LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Elaina…She’ll be one of your besties by the end.” After our first phone call with Elaina, we knew she would be the perfect person to help plan our dream wedding.Working with Elaina over the past (almost) 2 years has been the most seamless and enjoyable process we could have asked for. Being completely swamped with medical school and PA school, neither of us had much time for all the phone calls, meetings, etc. necessary for planning a wedding. Further adding to the chaos, neither of us actively live in the Boston area due to school; but without fail, Elaina would be at every in-person meeting for us (FaceTiming us in when possible) and was always flexible and understanding when scheduling our monthly meetings or when we needed to make last minute changes. She is truly one of the most reliable, professional people we have ever worked with (or met for that matter), and her ability to handle all conversations and interactions with such grace so as to not add to our already busy and stressful lives made all the difference. To top it all off, Elaina had never planned a wedding at the Boston Public Library, but when we chose the BPL as our venue there was absolutely no hesitation, just pure excitement for us.Our wedding was utterly magical, and we have Elaina to thank for everything. Even when our officiant tested positive for COVID the morning of our wedding, Elaina handled everything behind the scenes, preventing any worry for us or our family/friends. While there is no such thing as a flawless, perfect wedding (there is something that always comes up in that 11th hour), our wedding was in fact perfect. We are so fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with Elaina, and we recommend her to everyone who hopes to get married in Boston. Her calmness and positivity is unlike anyone we know - she is compassionate, caring, genuine and kind, and we are so happy to call her a friend for life. Elyssa Barrett: I will be grateful for Elaina for the rest of my life. Her tremendous work on my wedding made the event perfect and I am absolutely confident that it wouldn't have been possible without Elaina. When we met with Elaina we already had a number of my vendors lined up: the venue, caterer, photographer, and my dress. I waited so long to look for a coordinator because I thought a.) I couldn't afford a wedding planner/coordinator and b.) I thought I could do it on my own and be fine. I felt like I had done most of the work already and was just hoping for someone to help with the last minute details on the day of the wedding. I can't articulate how wrong I was about how much I didn't know about throwing a party of the size and scale of a wedding. My biggest (and only -- Elaina took care of everything else!) regret about anything in regard to our wedding was that we didn't meet and hire Elaina sooner. She is a game changer. I thought because I had read a couple books and blogs about throwing a wedding on a budget that I could handle all the moving parts but there was so much I didn't know. Elaina is a true professional; we hired her as a full service planner and I always tell people it is the very best gift I have ever given myself. Elaina found and negotiated with all the rest of the vendors we needed: flowers, hair and makeup, paper goods, rentals, and probably a lot of other things that I didn't even know she was handling in the background. She came up with floor plans for the venue (and rain plans, and many drafts of floor plans to give us options) and worked really hard with us to find ways to save money. She was as invested as we were in making our wedding affordable without compromising our vision. Elaina was amazing about presenting us with multiple options and being really transparent about how things were fitting in our budget. I am confident that she saved us money through all her research, which was such an unexpected and incredible bonus of working with her. Elaina's attention to detail is remarkable. She helped us choose decorations, which colors for linens would look nice together, which place settings would help create the vibe we wanted. She really listened to me and sent me options that she thought I might like. I truly felt that she understood what I wanted and how I hoped everything would look. Our wedding was stunning and so fun and every one of our guests commented on how well everything went together. Elaina even made sure all of our paper goods and favors matched our website and our invitations. These are things I think I would have had to let slide if I was trying to do everything myself but having them made such a difference. We would never have had a wedding as nice as the one we had if it weren't for Elaina; it would have been lovely, I'm sure, but Elaina took everything to the next level. She is incredibly knowledgeable and finds genuine joy in throwing events. I cannot recommend Elaina as a wedding planner and coordinator highly enough. At least twice throughout the process I joked with my fiance (now husband!) that I was calling our wedding off so that I could marry Elaina instead -- she is an amazing person. We are so lucky to have worked with her and I am so grateful for the work she did!

Initially, we knew we needed a coordinator to handle details like setup and timelines and we were happy to find Elaina because she immediately understood our vision and seemed confident that we could pull it off. However, in the last few weeks before the wedding, we found out just how many details have to be handled, and it was absolutely amazing to have someone else dealing with the many smaller things that pop up (the exact time the cake arrives, vendor parking options, etc), while I focused on what I cared about the most. I very much appreciated Elaina’s experience and ability to point out potential issues and her many suggestions for solutions, as well as how quickly she responded to any questions or concerns from our other vendors. In the final week, we had an emergency vendor cancellation (hair and makeup), and while I would have absolutely panicked at that point, Elaina remained calm and had a backup plan in place within two hours. I was absolutely blown away by the level of support I received, and I can’t overstate how happy I am that Elaina chose to work with us. Thank you for helping make our wedding magical!

Nicole Teebagy: First off, MK is amazing, she handled the entire day with such professionalism and positivity and I was SO grateful to have her there. We opted for a smaller more casual wedding, about 50 people in the Boston Public Garden & then a dinner party for everyone. In the beginning I was on the fence about hiring a coordinator since the restaurant was taking care of most of the party details & I had already contacted my vendors. At the recommendation of my photographer I started looking for a day of coordinator to handle all of the smaller details & to wrangle our families to the different locations. She went above and beyond, reaching out the moment I hired her to get a sense of the day we were planning & then a month before to iron out some of the timeline and details. She was an absolute force on my wedding day in the BEST way, she and her assistant really made my vision happen & was so organized putting all of the moving pieces together so we could just sit back and enjoy our wedding day. If you're on the fence about hiring a full time wedding planner or a day of coordinator, talk to MK. She's fantastic and I know she will steer you in the right direction to make your day even more special than you could even imagine!

She set up Zoom calls and checklists to ensure our day was everything we wanted it to be and more. What really puts Mary Kate above the rest is her attention to detail and ability to stay calm in stressful situations. On our wedding day our transportation for guests messed up and went to the wrong location. Mary Kate got every guest to the venue on time with Uber and bridal party transportation. Without her, the guests would have been late and the situation would have been beyond stressful. She then helped contact the company and get a refund. Mary Kate also helped me locate my veil that I left behind a month after my wedding date. We could not recommend her enough. A wedding planner is so needed to help keep your day as stress-free as possible!
Stephanie Motyka Photography: MK was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day during the planning process. I am a very type-A person when it comes to details. Being in the industry for wedding photography for a number of years prior, I figured I had it down for sure. But there is absolutely NO WAY I would have enjoy my wedding day if MK was not there to be the point of contact for vendors, guests, everyone and make sure everything ran smoothly and on time.The day went by so quickly I can not even imagine it going as well as it did without her there. My husband and I still have people telling us how great and easy going our wedding day was and the first thing out of our mouths is that we had the best wedding day planner/coordinator and literally could not have done that day without her.Mary Kate is worth her weight in gold! Do not hesitate in hiring her for your day, she will make sure it is everything you envisioned and more. Not to mention she is there for you as your number 1 fan that day and anything we needed was considered done and handled.
Ashley Fidler: I hired Mary Kate for my wedding about 6-8 months before our big day. Being a wedding planner I knew first hand how important it was to have someone on the day of to take care of everything and bring my vision to life. Mary Kate was so sweet and organized throughout the process! She was always checking in and making sure I was on track and not forgetting little things. She was very diligent with reviewing all of my decor and little details as well before the big day! I have her a lot (and I mean TONS) of info on our wedding and how everything was meant to be set etc and she brought it all to life. Leading up to the wedding I had normal pre wedding stress but Mary Kate calmed my nerves when needed and made me feel so comfortable and confident the last few days before our wedding. I am typically a ball of nerves and stress and I was the most calm and relaxed I have ever felt the last 2 days before the wedding. I really think it was just knowing Mary Kate would be there and we had everything organized down to a T. Everything went off without a hitch- if you are looking for a dedicated, kind, organized and personable planner look no further! Again I am a wedding planner and I can say without a doubt she was meant for this and you will not regret having her help on one of the most special days of your life! Thanks again Mary Kate!!
Gina Sicuso: Mary Kate was so helpful through the entire wedding process. Leading up to the wedding she reached out to vendors and made sure everything was in order, she checked in frequently via text or zoom, and always made sure everything was going exactly how I wanted for my wedding day. On my wedding day she had a timeline and made sure we were sticking to it and on schedule for every part of the day, she wrangled groomsmen, and overall made the day run so smoothly. We even had an incident where the center pieces never arrived and by the time I got into the reception room we had center pieces because MK took care of it! I would have been lost without her! I can not recommend her enough to other brides, your day will run so much smoother and you will feel calmer and more relaxed knowing she is there to take care of it all!
Haley Brandon: Mary Kate is a lifesaver! My husband and I decided at the last minute that we needed a day of wedding coordinator to manage the schedule, set up, vendors, etc. In a matter of weeks, MK was able to pull everything off and our wedding would not have been what it was without all of her help. I cannot thank her enough. I highly recommend hiring MK for all of your wedding coordinating/planning needs!

We do love her dearly but we also have great respect for the business she has developed so successfully.Our son and daughter in law’s wedding was one of the first Mary Kate did but you would never know that. Her confidence and professionalism shined from the day she committed with Ryan and Sarah, throughout the months of planning ( dealing with COVID restrictions ), the rehearsal and most importantly- wedding day.Mary Kate took control and made sure groomsmen were where they needed to be and that the ladies hair and makeup was on schedule all while keeping track of vendors on the phone making sure everything was perfect. She even texted all the bridal party and got their preference for a cocktail and had one for each of us waiting when we arrived at the venue.She will work with you to have the magical day you have dreamed of!
Sarah Fagan: It’s hard to figure out where to even start my testimonial for Mart Kate and her services through MK Your Dream Day. I guess for the sake of full transparency, Mary Kate actually reached out to me to see if she could help me with our wedding in June 2021 and thinking I was the one doing her a favor (ha!) I took the help with open arms.I was very fortunate to work with an awesome venue that provided an event producer whom I adored. So while it came to venue specific things, I felt very confident and comfortable that everything there would go smoothly. I also had a group of amazing vendors. However, all that being said, what I didn’t know is how the heck to put all of the moving pieces together- everyone was fantastic in their own areas but I was left being the one to assemble the puzzle. And this my friends, is where Mary Kate swoops in to save your sanity.I can’t count how many emails, texts and phone calls Mary Kate and I exchanged the weeks leading up to the wedding. She is so he most accessible human and drops everything to make herself available to answer questions, brainstorm or talk you off any ledge (and honey you will find yourself on a ledge no matter what you want to tell yourself right now).Mary Kate definitely helped with big picture stuff by coming to meetings with my venue and talking through the timeline and flow of the day but it is really the help with small details where MK shines! She did everything from help me figure out the order of the procession in the church, hand delivered our marriage license, assembled the bathroom baskets for the reception, kept everyone on track for photos and even got the whole wedding party’s drink orders so that when we arrived at the venue we had beverages waiting.There is nothing Mary Kate won’t do to make your day everything you dream for it to be. I mean she quite literally delivered flowers from the ceremony to reception site to help out our florist and made about 150 ceremony programs like 2 days before our wedding. And hey, at the end of the day, being able to have someone just to talk through things with is truly enough to keep you afloat during all the crazy days leading up to your wedding. From the bottom of my heart, I cannot recommend Mary Kate enough- I have no doubt she will make your dream day a reality.
Gina Flynn: Mary Kate was a lifesaver in my wedding planning process from day 1! We ended up having to postpone our wedding date and change our venue due to COVID and restrictions. She pivoted with every change we had to make and didn't miss a beat! From putting together my bathroom baskets, hotel gift bags, collecting my decor for venue drop-off and packing up my car at the end of the night and everything in between! Everyone kept telling me - "something will go wrong/out of order on your wedding day, but it's ok." I have to say that not one thing went wrong, and everything was on time and went according to the day-of schedule Mary Kate helped me build out. I wouldn’t have had the most perfect wedding day without Mary Kate by my side!

Shannon Newton: It’s taken me a few days and many drafts to put to words how much MaryKate means to me and my now husband. Mary Kate (MK) was the absolute backbone of our wedding day. Throughout the wedding planning process, like other brides, you’ll get the “there’s going to be things that go wrong, you have to put aside your type A personality and roll with it” well, if something went wrong that day…. news to me. Our day was absolutely flawless and being a typical very high strung person, surprisingly, I did not have an ounce of stress on my wedding day, all due to Mary Kate. From making our timeline (and keeping everyone to it, especially the groom/groomsmen) and allowing me to prioritize what was the most important to us on our wedding day, to coming to our rehearsal and helping to iron out any stresses, to even being the contact person for each of our vendors. I was able to leave my phone in the hotel room and really be present during our wedding, and enjoy the time with my new husband, our family and friends. Mary Kate is trustworthy and truly cares about her brides (and grooms) and making sure the day is perfect. I will forever be thankful I was introduced to Mary Kate, and would recommend her to any bride who’s even considering a day of coordinator.
